Keria had been shocked when Shina had offered her a position in her gym as a trainee assistant. She hadn't gotten a chance to respond to it before they were confronted by the guard. “Really? I’d love to work at your gym!” Keria smiled and bent down to pick up Voltron and gave him two Sitrus berries. She leaned against the wall as she watched the other groups fight. “I wonder what they are guarding, and where they got the accessories from.”

Lenore held the seven oran berries out to Mephistopheles, who gratefully accepted them. She surveyed the battles going on around them. "First a cliche temple, then some cliche traps, and now a cliche final battle where everyone rejoins each other. It's only a matter of time before a big boss shows up shouting 'Who dares?!'." She never dropped the deadpan manner of speaking she constantly used, even at the exclamation. She sighed as she sat next to Mephistopheles.

Lyle let out a sigh of relief when the Bidoof collapsed. That Bidoof was tough. But they were tougher! Still, letting other people handle the other Bidoofs was fine with him. He pulled out 7 Oran berries and fed them to Spinel, who happily chowed down.
Then he looked at the Bidoof. It looked kinda cool, with all the accessories and wing-like markings. And a tough pokemon would be great for battling with. So. He pulled out a pokeball and tossed it at the Bidoof.

Maybe we should have everyone bring out their bidoof and tell them of their 'new mission' at the gym xD?))
Oh well, Sienna really did like the bidoof she already caught, even if it didn't look like it had wings. "Nice catch Lyle!" She congratulated with a grin. The bird keeper turned back to her pokemon, Frey still looked a little worn after battling the guard.
She fished her only Sitrus Berry out of her bag, wishing she had found more items on the ship. Sienna had thought she got a pretty decent amount, but her supplies had dwindled very quickly. Her Pidgeot happily devoured the sweet and sour berry and felt strength flood back in to him.

Shina sat, leaning against the same wall Keria was leaning against. A quick tongue click called Annabell into her lap, a warm, heavy weight of muscle and deceptively soft, sleek fur.
"And when that boss shows, Lenore, we'll be ready to fight. And hopefully, that boss will not be a load-bearing one," Shina said, showing her own awareness of tropes.
Rolling her head to the side, she smiled up at Keria. "Great. Consider this your interview. Congratulations, you've passed the practical. Barring active and current membership to one of the major criminal groups, or outstanding arrest warrants, you're hired. As a junior assistant, you get room and board for you and your pokemon, access to the supply closet for incidentals like bedding and toiletries, a clothing stipend, and a monetary bonus for each gym battle fought, regardless of outcome. Of course, you get a larger bonus if you win, but you do get something either way. Welcome to the gym."
((Congrats mew! And I'm glad I already planned for a pond in the gym! We've got a lodge of beavers Bidoof all ready to move on in!))

Keria smiled at Shina, "that's a great package you offer and thank you." She watched as the other groups started to defeat their guards. "Looks like almost all of the guards are beaten, I’m guessing that means we’ll be moving on soon.."
Voltron listened to the exchange from his place on Keria's hat; he had scrambled up there once she started to lean against the wall. So they were going to move into a gym? Good they would finally have a base of operations, after all every superhero needed a secret base. Well if the area was shared he might have to find a spot to set up his secret base.

Shina nodded absently, fingers stroking Annabell's fur as she rested. The last guard fell, and Shina shook off her lassitude. With a final pat to Annabell, Shina moved the Furret aside and stood. Dusting off her skirt, she turned to face her four assistants.
"Alright. Those Bidoof were guarding something. Chances are, we've got a major battle ahead of us. Lyle, I'm going to put you in charge of healing," Shina said, handing over several items. "Try to keep the group in fighting shape, while the rest of us focus on hitting our opponent or opponents as hard as we can. If there is more than one opponent, do what you can to focus on one at a time, rather than spreading your attacks out. Hopefully, there will be a way out after this. Do your best, and let's show what the Motterossa Gym can do," Shina told them in a strong voice. Nodding sharply, she turned to lead the group over to the others.
