Midina^_^
On saturday I went to Solo and Ensemble for choir, and I sang a class one song called "Mandolin" by Gabriel Faure' (It was pretty hard but it was in french so yay).
I got a one 3nodding on it and I'm going to state compitition in a few weeks.

Well I wan't to know if any of my fellow Phantom lovers go to state compititons for band, choir, or drama.

(I'm in choir and drama)

Ah, I go to Solo and Ensemble every year (I play saxophone). I always get nervous and play bad though >.< I got a one 2 years ago though. And 2's this year and last year.

Our Solo and Ensemble's are boooring. We have to sing either Public Domain pieces or folk songs. Bleagh. Nothing fun like musicals or movie pieces. I went to our's last year singing one of the most boring songs EVER. "Pasttime With good Company" Argh! It still makes me mad at how stupid the song was. Okay. I'm good.

We might be doing the Phantom of the Opera for our play this year.. but my drama teacher is having trouble finding a junior highschool version of the play. ><

But he said it was a possibility. : O

When I joined chorus for the first time in 6th grade, I was qualified to do my county's children's concert, which was fun, and then again in 8th grade.

Other than that, I was in choir for about 6 years, going off to state competitions in my junior and senior years in high school. 'Twas great fun. Last year, my Ensemble got all ones. It was awesome. whee

*Misses being in choir* ...

In fifth grade I was in honor choir, but hated my teacher and just the atmosphere of the class, so I dropped out. I had a pretty good voice, well enough for honors vocal, but it kinda' flanked after a while. XD I'm trying to repair it for choir next year - Phantom inspired me to sing again. ; ; ...!

Right now, I'm in THE BEST MARCHING/CONCERT BAND EVER. lolz.

Seriously. I'm in my band at school. XD My teacher, unfortunately ... does nothing 'popular' for shows or concert songs. He likes doing crazy things, unique things, which is good, but sometimes I long for Phantom, that'd be so cool. We'd make it sound awesome. @.@' .. But, I'm in there, and hoping to be doing some sort of Phantom show. The closest thing we did to popular was Les Mis, which was glorious while it lasted. =w=

I'm not in colorguard, but I want to be in winterguard next year. <333;

I'm going to try to join drama club next year, since we're just now getting one. We have no drama class/club or theatre anything at our school. Yeah, it sucks.

I can play: Think of Me, Angel of Music, Phantom of the Opera, so on and so forth on my trombone, the melody that is. I got sheet music for Christmas.

The chorus at my old school seriously sucked. The entire drama/music department did, actually. The teacher was a tyrant. I did 'You're a Good Man Charlie Brown' with her and nothing ever again, even when the school put on Les Mis. Good thing too, the production tanked and was cancelled after she tried to change the script around and add more parts.

Mostly I did community choir and theatre productions. Choir was awesome, but since it was a rather prestigious paid group we generally didn't get to do any cool musical theatre songs. sad Lots of classical pieces. And we did shows at Biltmore Estate, and that Disney music program thing (Which is awesome, btw. Whoever said they were doing that this April, you're in for a treat.), and released a couple of CD's.

Well, I'm in Drama and Choir. The drama aspect is in orordinatiion with my school. This year we're doing Shakespere's "12th Night" in which I get to be a narrator this year around. The choir that I have is extra-cirricular too, but my school doesn't offer a music program (blasphemy, I know), but it still doesn't mean taht I don't like it. This year is touring year, and we are going to (drum roll, please) JAPAN!! I'm so phyched! We're rehersing stuff for that and a folk music concert that we have in mid-March.

All in all, I think my life is pretty goo right now. I'd love to have some dance experience over the next few years as well.

I heard someone singing Think of Me at Solo&Ensemble once...

And my school choir did a POTO medley thing (my friend Dennis was the only guy...it was so funy)
Actually I'm not in the school choir because I heard bad things about it. Oh well.

Band class is where all my Phan-ness started though, we watched part of the movie, NeeH...

Edit: Oh-oh-oh-oh! Forgot something!!!
Out-of-school band (Young Winds) We are doing an awesome song. The first word of the title is, guess what, "Phantom". *dramatic pause*
Sadly, the second word isn't "of". It's "Ship". Phantom Ship. Look it up on JWPepper -- It's so Phantomy-sounding!!!!

Well, we're still trying to convince my choir teacher that we could perform something from PotO, and we've worn her down bit by bit. She's letting us sing "Double Trouble" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for our final concert... it's so much fun!

I am a solo/ensemble junkie! I usually do something for band and for choir every year, and I participate in every possible solo competition or audition that I can possibly get my hands on. I'm in drama, I play flute in the band, and I'm in show choir.

As a matter of fact, my fellow phans, two years ago I used "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" as my piece for solo and ensemble and got the best possible score! ^_^ I was so proud...

I'm in Chorus and we got Platinum (highest award grading thing).

My school did Phantom for a concert though and the music was only set to the band playing it and the band teacher let me figure out the lyrics to the part and I sang it. XD
