By this time, Ai and Kumiko were quite battered. Luckily they had not sustained any serious injuries yet and they had plenty of berries to stop the bleeding where the arrows had whizzed by and cut them. Kumiko's eyes were large and watery; the poor baby legendary looked about ready to cry. Ai's eyes stung too, but she was trying to be strong despite feeling more inclined to panic.
"Maybe we should... you know.. stop for a minute," she said nervously. "We keep setting off traps and we're not getting any closer to finding the exit. Let's just... stop and think." She really did want to rest, and avoid setting off any more traps. But if the rest of the group moved on, she sure as Arceus wasn't going to be left behind in this scary place!

"... What's that noise?" Ai asked. It sounded like the pattering of feet. It was getting louder... closer...
Ai suppressed the urge to scream again when the pokemon suddenly appeared. The bidoofs that had chased them into this mess had somehow gotten underground too?! They were going to be eaten alive! Those bidoofs had big, sharp teeth! She could already imagine it stripping away her flesh from her bones...
"Kumiko, kill it! Kill it!" Ai said, thrusting the mew in front of her. "You're a pokemon, right? Fight it!"

Kumiko stared at the two bidoofs that were eyeing the team hungrily. He looked back at Ai, looking for reassurance, but he would find none there.
"What are you looking at me for?" Ai demanded. "Just... fight it! Bite it or scratch it or... something!"
Kumiko squeezed his eyes shut and flailed at the bidoofs.

Cue a crooked brow from Cetus towards the Bidoofs that had found their way towards the group. Also cue the repressed urge to gush and d'aww as inner-Cetus squealed with delight. How could one not love such furry critters?! Well, another wouldn't love them if they were trying to gnaw their eyes out but-! SHO KAWAII~
A childhood in Sinnoh does this to people, y'know.
"Mat, use Bonemerang and, um, be a little gentle?" Cetus cried. She didn't want to hurt them, but they were a threat and had to be dealt with evenly.
Mat snorted, shook his head, and brought his femur above his head. With one sharp jerk, the bone club was was spiked into the air. It made a wide arc towards the pair of rodents.

Natalie looked at the Bidoofs. They were adorable, but, they're attacking people. She looked at Dusty, "Dusty, use round!" Round was an attack the can't damage the egg by accident.
Dusty glared at the Bidoofs before singing. "Emol~"

Alice looked at the swarm of Bidoofs and grabbed a stone.
Alice threw the stone. She hit the first one, but not the second one.
Alice saw the first bidoof fall but the second one went into the attack. Alice jumped off to the side and yelled. "ONE MORE TO GO!"

 Bidoof. They had been intimidating in a swarm, but when there were only two they were just silly. And kind of cute. Make that one – the other girls had taken down the other, and the remaining Bidoof was beginning to wobble. Even Caddie could handle this. Fin set her Delibird on the ground and aimed her at the Bidoof. "Caddie, use Present!" Caddie hopped in place as she produced a wrapped gift from nowhere. "Deliiiiii-brrr!" she exclaimed, launching the deadly present at her opponent....

((Forgot to roll... @_@)) The gift hit the Bidoof in the side and exploded on impact, but the fluffy Pokémon was still standing, if a bit worse for wear. Its own attack grazed Caddie's belly, and she cheeped indignantly. "Good shot, girl!" Fin cheered. "It's almost down!" Fin/Caddie [-5] [55/100] Bidoof 2 [-10] [10/50]

"Ughh one of them is still alive," Ai said, backing away from the weakened bidoof. The poor fellow didn't look nearly as interested in eating everyone as it had at first, but Ai wasn't about to take any chances. "Kumiko, kill it!" she commanded.
Kumiko was feeling quite worn out himself, but Ai wanted him to do it... He had to be brave! He stuck his sharp little claws out and tried to smack the last bidoof into unconsciousness.

 (( This one is a normal/shiny recessive) The last of the bidoofs collapse! If you want to try and catch one of the bidoof, throw a Pokeball! You must have a Pokeball in your inventory in order to try to catch it. If you catch this bidoof, you can no longer catch any more Pokemon in these random event battles. If you fail to catch the bidoof, your Pokeball goes back into your inventory. I will randomize between everyone who threw a Pokeball to see who captures it.

With the last of the doofies down for the count, Cetus marveled at the chance to actually own one. Like hell she was going to pass this chance up. Holding Mat back (the Marowak was piped after that one battle and was gearing to beat the rodent until it was a battered carcass), the Galactic grunt fiddled out the Pokeball she found on the cruise from her pocket and chucked it at the fluff-butt.

(( Since you found both sides of the strange THINGY, that random event has mysteriously disappeared. The numbers of the other rando-events have shifted.
Waiting on Chibi to reply to the bidoof, but whoever's turn to rando-event next can go. I don't want to hold you up. ))
