Parts of it but you got your own tradition now, same holiday, same meaning but all those details you cling to as a part of tradition are so different I know I wouldn't be comfortable with the american tradition. Thanksgiving creeps me out.... My ex was american so I got invited to thanksgiving with his family one year in high school and not knowing much about thanksgiving I wasn't sure what to expect and turkey with filling makes me think of Mr Bean, that didn't really stir my hunger for turkey. XD Though pumpkin pie, that I could get used too. xp I bet you'd feel the same if you got a swedish christmas dinner. Kinda like "what's this? Hmmmm... ok this then....EWWW!" Like raw fish in jars or something called lutfisk, if you ever get offered that let me tell you it's basically tasteless fish jelly smelling like something the sea farted out. emotion_puke

sexygingerbear well do you at lest get gifts? meh im not a big fan of holiday traditions my self! id rather just have another day most years! ..fish......frat jelly........ emotion_puke emotion_puke Yeah we get gifts but we open them on the 24:th. twisted Most swedes do it like this; Family arrive no later than 2pm, at 3pm everybody (besides those who prepare the food) watches a disney christmas special (same one year after year). At 4pm the show is over and it's time for dinner that's mostley meat and fish dishes, after dinner it's time for presents and if you have kids there's usually a santa claus to deliver them. After the presents all been handed out it's time for... PORRIDGE! Yay! Uhm... maybe not so much but after that family members leave one by one and on the 25:th kids play with their new toys and adults... watch tv. lol
