Saya had been far behind the other hunters, running with Prompto in one hand. She simply couldn't believe her ears when the alarm had gone off, how did halloweeners manage to break the barrier? Astonished at first, she had to repeat it several times to believe it. Although, one believed rather quickly when trying to fend off several attacks. Pain tended to wake one up, with a blunt knock to the head.
The one place they had thought was safe for so long wasn't for much longer. Of course, with the times they crashed into halloween .. Saya grimaced, with the dull thought, a favor was always returned~
An eye for an eye never did work. Especially when they were big eyes.

The battle had begun in earnest, and Astra had separated herself from the pathway and headed towards the abandoned towns, thinking that it would be easier to take over since there were not many hunters here. And yet, as she approached the barrier, she shivered. Even for her, this place was creepy. It reminded her too much of when she was here last time. How long ago was that? It felt like a eternity. Her fingers curled around the green foliage that was her attack, and eying the barrier she threw the leaves towards it, satisfied to see them connect. It wasn't much, but at least she was doing her part. The buildings around her then began to shake, and the fairy quickly sought cover behind one as they parted and shot missiles at a large grey looking drag- ...wait ....waitwaitwaitwaitwait WHAT THE JACK WAS THIS?! At first she did a double take. The dragon was HUGE! It was also grey and reminded her of....of Red. Was that who it was? Had Red come back from the dead? ...No, it wasn't Red. It was someone else. There was too much grey, to much...insanity surrounding the dragon. It wasn't red. But there was something familiar about it. She was sure she had seen him...before... ....It couldn't be.... "...Jericho?" She questioned softly, before flying upwards. "JERICHO!" She shouted. M-maybe she was wrong. It could have been someone else.... OOC ASTRA IS NOT IN PVP! [Entering] HomeThe dark outline of a figure emerged at the edge of what appeared to be an abandoned town. Nergui had found it, the source, the calling that had drawn her from the fall of the jungle outpost's barrier to this desolate place. Though it was clear by her expression as she neared the old buildings that what she had found did not please her. This was not the promised home the voices sang to her, this was nothing, and that disappointment and frustration showed in the twist of cold features as the heels of her boots crushed over the fresh rubble that lay in her path. What's wrong? This is where you belong.Almost absently she snatched at a shard drifting by, pulling what fear from the fragment she could to heal the injuries she'd taken in the jungle. They were superficial, and she barely noticed them, but weakened as she was she was in no shape for the destruction she now longed to unleash upon anything she could. Hunters or houses, it made no difference. This should have been it, an end to plague of unheard whispers, but being only seemed to intensify them, and what was worst was the growing and unstable need for something she couldn't identify. The gargantuan dragon didn't respond to the little Fairy. He continued to fly over the town, casting a great shadow upon all those below him. There were no attacks for now, and it seemed that his form was moving in with the Mists that heavily swirled about. The little ants below were still invading his home. Ash slowly turned upon hearing a familiar voice, the rumblings of home caught in his mind.
"That place," Ash rasped, edging closer to Marcus, his movements jilted and off kilter as the voices crooned at him to pursue home.
"Is not our HOME. Not any longer."
He raised his arms, lifting his heavy Great Knife skywards, gesturing to the town around him, to the rubble and broken world around him. To the mists, that rolled carefully, lightly, in the distance.
"We are home, it is here. But something is wrong, something is missing from. OUR. HOME."
Edging closer, the maddened reaper laughed, low and dark and malicious.
"What is missing from our HOME? Do you keep this secret from us?"

[ENTERING] It was hard not to approach the shining white building in the distance. It was full of their curious little contraptions they called technology, and their fragile, mortal little selves. Their white coats hid brittle bones and soft organs, all of which never failed to delight Mahir to see again. How long had it been since he had the chance to open one up like the back of one of their 'watches', and watch for himself their strange machinery wind down? And yet he could not resist the pull of this place. He didn't know what it was, at first, but he realized soon enough he wasn't the only one to be led here. The others looked just as confused, or even worried. Mahir closed his yellow eyes for a moment and tried to bask in the feeling. It felt like - like hot sand - a chorus of locusts - Home.His eyes snapped open. He saw a world of greys and a faint buzz of voices that both subsided in seconds like a receding wave. HOME.One voice above all the others was incessant, demanding. Mahir's grin faltered just slightly. He dealt in potions and poisons, even at the brink of insanity he could feel the pressure, realize the pull before it dragged him in completely. His shadowy arms began to scratch and scrape against the barrier. Little pigs, little pigs, they would let him in. It would be their home too now, after all. OOC MY CHARACTER MAHIR IS NOT IN PVP! Jay came hobbling back to Senga, mournfully staring at her charred scarf and mumbling about stupid dragons.
Pain. Her body ached and she was tired. She puffed out her cheeks and squeezed her eyes shut as she let herself fall against the wolf horseman. Jay didn't care what he would say or do. He could push her to the ground for all she cared. She was tired. A green shard floating between her eyes and she reached for it.

After the second shard, Jay began to hum happily while placing a hand on her chest. Wow, these shards were best! Maybe she could grab another? Her face lit up when she managed to snatch a third one. It wasn't quite as effective as the last two, but still effective nonetheless. Tentatively, the warrior stretched out her wings before she swatted away a few loose feathers. She rolled her shoulders and neck. Finally, she took notice of the newcomers. The horsewoman could see the two other horsemen--one of which she sort of recognized, Nergui, was it?-- and a funny student with a pyramid head.

[enter] The first priority had, of course, been defending the labs. A cursory reconnaissance 'mission' seemed to indicate that said labs had devolved into complete chaos, and were, perhaps, beyond saving. Mimsy felt something vaguely close to heartbreak at this realization. It was a pity, but there was still work to be done. No use in lingering on what was lost. She had no intention of allowing that to be a repeated complication in her life. Pressing onward brought her through the edges of the fog and into the smattering of houses, most in varying levels of abandonment. Something rose above the rooftops in the distance, vaguely unsettling, too large to not be out of place here. Had they developed some sort of super serum? Something to create their own version of student weapons? Dark tendrils emerged through the fog, and she paused, Svensyl cautiously raised. They were scratching away at the barrier, and...they weren't tendrils at all! They were hands! One of them had extra hands! Her excitement was impossible to contain as she tried to yank one of them towards her, hoping for a brief moment of analysis. Were they solid? Did they hurt to touch? Her mind was so abuzz with questions that it drowned out the steady hum of gibberish pouring forth from her Jabberwocky. OOC MIMSY IS NOT IN PVP (BUT WILL BE SHORTLY)! Mir didn't care about any halloweeners. She did care quite a bit about those hunters though~ But several areas had already been finished by the time she had arrived. So Mir decided to divulge her interests instead. And when she had finally arrived -- and she didn't know what she saw. There were several horsemen and hunters, not unexpected to see them there. But the giant insanity dragon had her grinning. "How lovely."

It had called out to her as it did with the other horsemen. She closed her eyes momentarily, letting herself listen to the ghostly words, basking in the nostalgia that it brought. If only they could be lulled into the deception, truly thinking that they had come back. She understood the feelings of those who wanted to be lulled into the facade. But they resided in reality which really wasn't such a simple prospect. But when her eyes reopened, they weren't so peaceful. "You hunters are responsible for the destruction of our home, are you not?" And Mir was always the type to repay her favors. OOC  MY CHARACTER MIR IS NOT IN PVP!
