+ STUMBLING ACROSS MONKEYS + Amsterdam Twigs, leaves and stray curls whipping at her face, the one eyed captain ran through the jungle, or at least trotted as quickly as the thick foliage allowed.
Briefly mourning the loss of her hat, left on the beach, Katherine forced her way through the veritable wall of green with one hand and held her blue bandana on with the other. Never once did the thought of slowing or turning back cross her absent mind, the intrigue that the monkey held was far too great for her to give up.
Minutes before she hit the clearing the trees had started to thin, so it was with a greatly increased pace that Katherine burst out of the verdant jungle to find herself face to face with a couple of very surprised pirates. A moment's inspection proved the two to be familiar faces from her own crew, so the hand that had been resting on her sword fell away.
A closer look revealed that one in particular was very familiar indeed, causing Katherine to raise her hand back to her weapon. Not expecting any help from a dirty elf, she directed a quick enquiry about the direction of the monkey to the trampish brunette.
A flash of distinctly monkey-like movement to her left distracted her from ever hearing the answer, and the dark eyed captain promptly continued her merry chase without further thought to her crewmen. Kieko Nicolas had been turning back to view Jamie when Rachel, Katherine and Gabriel suddenly came running up from the direction they once came. Katherine seemed to be running at an incredible speed and by the expression on her face, Nicolas had assumed she was after something. What exactly, he didn't really care as treasure couldn't run away.
Once she asked the question of him, he lifted his eyes to her to speak, but then noticed she began off. Two fists clenched tightly at his sides as she completely ignored his presense. It was quite obnoxious that the woman would act so coldly towards him just because his ears were pointed. It may have been something he had to deal with, but it was not something he felt he needed to put up with.
"She didn't act so cold when she led me to her chambers..." the male muttered below his breath, ignoring Jamie standing only a few feet behind him. It did not occur to him that the others could have heard them if they tried and his gaze was intent of Katherine. By the even lesser clothes the blonde woman wore, Nicolas assumed there had been something between the two.. or three going on before the chase. Nicolas' expression remained scowled. Kieva Jamie rose a brow as the male before her turned and kicke dup a path, pointing in the direction that it lead. She nodded in reply to his words. Yes, treasure. Certainly that was the main object on either of their minds. She took a step towards him, making sure to add an extra sway to her hips. Though from out of the lush foliage their Captain flew towards them. Jamie froze, eyes wide in slight surprise.
Captain Kruel seemed as surprised to see the two of them and Jamie glanced towards her superior's sword. A question about a monkey was directed towards her which caused Jamie to furrow her brow in thought. No, neither she nor Nicolas had viewed such a thing since they entered the jungle. Opening her mouth to speak she was cut off as the Captain darted off once more.
The young woman growled slightly and then shook her head, catching Nicolas's comment. "Well, then. Why care what she thinks? " Jamie inquired, turning back towards the trail they had been planning to explore. " One whom is not accepting is not worth your time." Jamie took a few more steps into the makeshift path, brushing branches from her face. "That is what I learned at least." Kieko Nicolas didn't turn his head back towards Jamie to aknowledge the fact that he had heard her, but it was clear by the uncomfortable twitching of his long, elfen ears. They could be incredibly expressive at times and as they grew somewhat pink, he continued on, directly after the captain, "I care of nothing related to the woman, but by the expression on her face, there must be something more than just monkeys out there!" Nicolas continued on after their Captain, hand lowering to reach the hilt of his own blade, "I don't feel our captain is one to share riches with us so willingly..." Now the elf's expression had become one of determination as he quickly followed after.
Hearing a strange voice from behind him, Nicolas turned his head to see a blonde...man? With a cocked brow, the male spoke firmly, "Yes. The captain has found something.." And not giving this stranger a moments time to respond, Nicolas was off again, slashing through the thick jungle plants and wiping the fresh sweat from his brow. It was not strenuous on the male, but the warmth was beginning to grow warmer the deeper they entered.
When his slashes became less frequent, the male noticed that instead of short, large leafed plants, there were now clusters of tall trees that seemed to be the homes for groups of... Nicolas felt a sudden weariness grow over his body! His hopes of the captain's treasure-hunger had been for nothing and when he spotted many of his crew mates happily playing with the small monkeys, he couldn't help but sit quietly onto a large rock, glaring at the complete idiots. What use would a monkey do to a pirate!?
When Nicolas had turned his head to sulk, a small, young monkey began in his direction. It's small beady eyes were wide with interest, almost as if there was something on the male that interested it. Unlike most of the others, this small primate was a young male, probably one of the few considering the group was mostly females, run by the dominant male. There were other males on the island, but many seemed to keep away from this new group for fear that they could have been predators. This young male, however, had just leapt from the safety of his mother's arms to inspect the blade that hung so loosely from the man's hand. "chiku chiku.." It chirped to itself as it's tiny hands clutched the blade. When the metal pierced his small hands, it seemed to scream!
Wide blue eyes turned to catch the tiny creature naively pressing it's hand against the sharp blade of Nicolas' sabor. Nearly smacking the pesky monkey away, Nicolas felt a small compassion grow for the creature's adoration of his weapon. When he had noticed the blood on it's hands, it reminded him somewhat of Jamie and what he had done for the woman. Could he offer this same kindness to the small monkey? It took him a moment to coax the creature close into the grab ahold of it, but with another tear of his pant leg, he did manage to wrap the small wound. It had been much smaller than what he had expected. [+]~Kogoro~[+] Rachel smiles at the monkey and stops petting it. She then walks past Gabriel, "Dont worry, I'm not hungry." She then walks through a few bushes and looks at the Island's flowers.
This Island reminds me so much of my home... She looks down at the golden rig on her finger, remembering that she promised a dear friend she would return some day. "Maybe some day soon... Kahrim..." she trails off, remembering her days on her home island. Kieko After bandaging up the small monkey, something caught the male's eye for a moment. A beautiful tanned pirate woman with golden locks of hair seemed to be walking away from the group and from the monkeys. With a quick smirk, the male lifted his form from the rock and began in Rachel's direction. It would be his first meeting with the woman, and though he had not seen her on the ship before, he was certain he knew who she was. Master at arms, he thought he had heard before. Thinking back, he realised it was another crew mate that had eagerly told him of the beauty on the ship. Nicolas hadn't paid complete attention to the man at the time, but he was glad now that he had heard some of it.
Only about a foot away from the woman now, Nicolas smirked and spoke in his usual suave tone, "Greetings m'lady.." And seeing that she was admiring the beautiful flowers, he speaks again, "You're fond of the flowers, I see?"
From behind Nicolas came the small male monkey, eyes once again, intent on the blade that hung from Nicolas' belt. Though now it's small paws were bandaged and it had known the feeling of the pain, it still seemed intrigued. As it stared, it reached out, but was sure as to not touch it. Even as naive as the small creature was, it remembered the pain clearly. [+]~Kogoro~[+] Rachel turns her head to see Nicolas near-by, "Hello there," she says, picking one of the white flowers and smiling, "They remind me of the flowers back on my home island." She looks back to the flowers, the golden ring on her finger shining from the small ammounts of light that peak through the trees.
She sighs, still remembering her years back at home, she misses her home, the island life was simple and primitive, but it was peaceful. Kieva Jamie had sighed as the elf had swiftly followed the captain. She shook her head and turned, walking slowly in the direction the rest of the crew seemed to have darted off in. The unfamiliar blonde also sprinted after the Captain, leaving Jamie to follow the trail hacked out of the vegetation around her. So much for having a bit of fun with that elf. She wasn't sure if it was ever going to happen. Perhaps it wasn't even worth trying if some sort of treasure was going to interupt them everytime. She sighed as she pushed a branch out of her way and gazed up at the large trees that seemed to have sprang up out of no where.
The noise suddenly filled her ears and she stepped into the opening that the rest of the crew seemed to be lounging in. There were small creatures chattering and hopping about and Jamie rose an arched brow. " So much for treasure, Nicolas." She whispered to herself, giving a disgusted look to a monkey that had made its way near her out of curiousity.
"Shoo. I don't have time for fuzzy little animals. " She muttered and made her way passed it. The area was full of the creatures and Jamie rested her hands on her curvacious hips. Looking to a large rock she sat, allowing her feet rest as the crew mingled with the hideous mammals.
Nicolas was chatting with a gorgeous blonde woman not far off, the Captain was stalking away, and it seemed the others were occupied by the monkeys. Jamie rubbed her bandaged hand and stood, turning to leave. The young woman began to make her way back through the jungle, towards the beach. Kieko Nicolas smiled at her warmly, though his eyes wandered inconspicuously (sp?) over her form, both to remember her as well as get an idea as to who he was getting himself caught up with. She seemed well fit and her skin was a dark complextion. Before he could guess, she announced she had been from an island and this only made his smirk more broadly, "Why would a lass as beautiful as yourself choose to leave your island and join a pirate ship?" Though there were many beautiful women on the ship, it seemed strange to Nicolas that they would wish to be pirates.
Hearing another join the clearing that many of the Dementia's crew had occupied themselves in, Nicolas turned his head to see whom had arrived. Though he had nearly forgotten, it was Jamie and quickly he turned his head. His cold blue eyes kept remained on Rachel, though his mind was mentally abusing himself. How could he so quickly turn to another lass? He wouldn't gain any of their trust unless he put off his pride and drive long enough to keep them smiling.
Once again, the small monkey decided to take a chance. Once Nicolas was still, the small monkey lept up onto the man's pant leg and began chirping wildly. A small paw began waving in the elf's direction as if the wounds on her paws were due to Nicolas himself. [+]~Kogoro~[+] Rachel softly chuckles, "That really isn't of your concern now is it?" She looks back at the ring on her finger then turns right around, "Please excuse me, I must go."
She walks away from Nicolas, and heads in the same direction as the Captain did a little while ago. Amsterdam Katherine surveyed the scene with distaste. She really didn't enjoy musing on her past as some did, and the chattering of the monkeys was beginning to give her a headache.
Noticing that more than a few of the crew had taken a shining to particular monkeys, the captain realized that many would likely want to keep the lil buggers as pets. A brief vision of her rigging transformed into a manmade jungle arose in her mind and she decided to take action against it.
"I see what you're all doing and I don't want fifty bloody primates on my decks. You, you, you and you, take one monkey each. They're your responsibilities, if they get out of hand your life will be as worthless as theirs."
Following this statement with a final glare to remind them who was the bloodthirsty pirate captain, Katherine then walked further into the jungle, looking for a quiet place to ease her head.

The First of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
When all of the crew seem to be settling down, minding their own business, our captain goes running through lik'a mad woman! With wild eyes, I chase after w' the hopes that she has stumbled across some treasure! She seems eager, but when we reach her destination I am enraged!
MONKEYS! Captain Kruel ran out into the midst of the jungle for monkeys!
Ridiculous. It is difficult to hold a respect for such a random captain. She seems to have no interest in what most pirates long for. What brought 'er to become what she is today?

The Tenth of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
I heard a scream coming from th' center of the jungle and to my surprise I managed to run fast enough to find the Cap'n, herself, being held tightly by a Island Native! With sabor in hand, I was hoping for some sort of battle, but like I should h've imagined, Rachel was already there.
Some idiotic mumbo jumbo later, we are all decided to approach their temple for what have you. Rachel speaks odd tongues and informs none of the crew of her new dialect. I find something suspicious about this woman and feel Katherine best think twice if she does not want to be backstabbed.

+ TO THE TEMPLE + Meemo The scene unfolded swiftly as Jamie followed closely behind Rachel. Katherine was ont he ground and the tribal men were surrounding another being, spears drawn. Her sky blue eyes narrowed as she noticed it to be Nicolas. Her dagger was raised, pointed int he direction of the men incircling the elf.
" What is this!?" The young female asked once more, losing her patience as she glared at the tribal males and then looked to Rachel. This was ridiculous. Their Captain had been tossed to the ground in a heap and now these wild men were attacking the crew. All their damned throats should have been slit on the spot, yet her actions were with held as she awaited an answer from Rachel or the Captain.
With a quick wiped of her head, switching her gaze from the two women to the elf her braid snapped about, landing roughly on her back. It made a slapping sound as it struck her bare skin, though her face remained cold. Jamie licked her lips to wet them as they had started to dry, lowering her dagger only slightly. Nicolas had done the same, lowering his sword near his side to show the islanders that he did not wish to fight. Kogoro Rachel sighs, turning towards Jamie Gallows, "Put your weapon away also," She pauses for a moment, "we will be going to their village for a while. They will loan us a place to sleep as logn as we can help them inside their old temple."
Rachel turns back towards the captain, letting out another sigh. This was such a great day, why did this have to happen to ruin it... She turns back to Jamie, "As long as you cooperate, you have nothing to worry about." Kieko Nicolas had narrowed his eyes on Rachel now and listened to her threat with irritation. Take his sabor away? It was more than likely the woman would leave with a broken wrist before she took the only item the man treasured as much as his life. The sabor had come into his possession as a young man and it had remained beside him all the while. Though sharpened, polished and delicately taken care of, the sword would never be replaced. With the care the man took with it and the quality it had originally been, it would be years before he needed a new blade.
The man attached the blade to his belt and waited patiently for something more interesting to happen. As a pirate, he constantly longed for action and this hold up was beginning to grow somewhat old. Or possibly repetitive. Just as he had begun to sigh, he heard the native speak to him, a much less aggressive expression on their faces. He could not recognise the language completely, but caught onto a few words like "pointy", "mystical" and "temple". With those simple words, it was enough to attract the male's interest and grow to detest the tribal people further.
Looking down at his ankles, he noticed the same small monkey had followed him deeper into the jungle. While the elf had been watching Rachel with frustration, he must have not noticed the small primate below him. With a shake of his hand, he motioned for the small animal to crawl up onto his shoulder. It was more the fact it was farther from his blade than at his feet that interested Nicolas in having the monkey so near his head. Who knew? It was very possible the natives may respect him more if he was able to communicate well with the animal.
As the monkey began up his shoulder, the elf noticed the same skantily clad young woman he usually made his company with enter the jungle. Her expression was ferocious and like he, her blade had been drawn. With a sudden smirk, Nicolas eyed her up and down, suddenly eager for their return to either the ship, a deserted portion of the island, empty bar table or any other area the two could... with a shake of his head, he looked away and back towards the captain. After all, without her, he would not go up in rank anytime soon. It was a painful process, but the man needed to earn some sort of respect from her. Amsterdam Katherine glared at the assembled pirates and islanders. Her original suspicion of mutiny had been proved wrong, only to be replaced with the apparent plan to make a day trip to a village.
It was pure folly to allow such barbaric people to push them around, especially when the pirates had the strength of numbers, but Katherine was not about to let it look like she had no control over the situation.
Sweeping aside the embarrassment of having made a false accusation, Katherine stood up straight, ignoring the concerned looks of her crew. "Get a move on, you scabrous wretches! I want to be in that village before dark, or we'll be making torches out of your festering bodies!"
With that, she turned to the jungle and set off in a direction that looked promising, slowing her pace just enough to let the natives catch on and subtly direct her steps. Island Native The leader of the islanders nods at the woman who appears to be the leader of this group of outlanders. She was going the right way to their village so they follow the woman. The sun was almost down, they would be lucky if they made it to the village before nightfall.
The leader looks at Katherine, "Debemos apresurarnos, asoleamos ir abajo, noche somos malos." The natives walk faster in hopes the rest will try and keep up with them so they can get to the village before the nocturnal predators came out. Meemo No sooner had Jamie lowered her dagger did it totally vanish, hidden under her small skirt. It was a wonder how she kept it out of view with so little space to conceal it. Her sky blue eyes tore from Nicolas as she turned on her heels to follow a few feet behind Rachel, the Captain and Gabriel. She cracked her knuckles at her sides as she allowed her vision to cast downwards towards the soil they walked on.
Miss Gallows didn't bother checking to see if the elf had followed. She was a bit irritated by his repetative sudden departures that had continued from the ship and onto the island. She questioned herself slightly, wondering if it had been her. Had she lost her touch? Was she no longer the attractive gypsy that had danced on the streets and emptied men's pockets? No. She was no longer that gypsy. She was a pirate.
The chatter of the islanders and Rachel began to drill into her mind and she growled, clenching her teeth as she let out a breath. She had drifted a bit behind, though still keeping pace with the lot of them. She simply wanted her space as well.

The Twelvth of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
Looks like both Jamie Gallows and I have created a great situation for ourselves on th' ship. Katherine is so suspicious of my behavior, I wish I could say I had a plan just yet. With the company of Jamie Gallows we might be more convincing for a mutiny. Th' main reason I have not thought more on this subject is because I don't want her half arsed ship and motley crew! I'd rather search the slums for a more competant team!
The walk through the jungle has proved less interesting than one would hope. Slicing foliage with m' sabor is a waste of it's real talent. I am weary of following behind such filthy, loin-cloth wearing piggarts! Wait-I believe that may be something right before us...

+ ONE HUT SHORT + Kieko Nicolas only smirked broader when his own captain had struggled to regain power over the small band of pirates that was now willing to follow the natives into the deeper parts of the jungle. Although he was nearly certain it would cause problems in the future, he hoped that his bold behavior would have gained some sort of respect for the captain. As disrespectful as he may have been, he had indeed come to save her and hoped she might have recognised that by now. According to Rachel, having his sword drawn might have caused problems, but in reality, it was only out for Katherine's protection.
As the group walk into the jungle and Rachel continually replayed what the natives had been saying, the elf strayed farther behind and closer to the beautiful braid-haired woman he had grown so fond of. With a typical chuckle, he flashed her his most charming grin before he spoke, "Nice actions back there, lass! Ye could have taken them all on on you're own!" He laughed again. Nicolas had been sincere in his words to the woman, though his tone may have come off somewhat teasing-ly.
After the man spoke, he had turned ahead just in time to view the small area that would be there resting place. Returning his cold blue eyes onto Ms. Gallows, he continued to smirk, "Looks like there's not enough huts for everyone..." Meemo Jamie looked sideways at Nicolas, trying to surpress her aggitated self. She wanted more than anything to simply reach out and slug the damned male, yet at the same time she was tempted to tackle him on the spot. She took a deep breath and managed a small smile, fighting to keep a semi-irritated expression. She ran a hand through her bangs, yet they only fell back into place over her eyes.
" Aye. " The woman agreed to his first statement. " I certainly could have. " Her head turned so that she could view the male fully and she wished she hadnt. What was it about the cursed male?! Why was he so knee weakeningly hansom? " And don't ever think otherwise. "
She returned her gaze to the group slightly ahead of them. Why had he chose to hang back with her? No, she knew the answer. He was done with the other women. Or, he probably had no luck with them. Jamie found herself smirking then as Nicolas spoke to her rather quietly, matching the elf's facial expressions.
" Not enough huts, huh?" Ms. Gallows echoed, looking about the area that they had paused in. Captain Kruel had found a place to stay and Jamie was certainly not going to be sleeping on the soil if she didn't need to. Her sky blue eyes returned to rest on Nicolas' features.
" Well then, when yer done examining and flirting with the little ladies.." She began rather coldy, motioning towards the leaving Rachel, Captain Kruel and the lagging Arrin. " You may then want to think of going to bed with a real woman, Mr. Morgan. " She had rested a hand above one of her breasts, motioning to herself. Turning on her heel, Jamie made her way in the opposite direction of elf, towards a small hut near the edge of the opening they were all in. Kieko The stern voice Jamie had used in her speech had caused the male to only smirk further. The fact that he aggitated her to the point in which she couldn't hold back her gruff speech amused him slightly. He only hoped that frustration wasn't all the woman had been feeling at the moment. If that was the case, then his charming expressions and patience in the situation had all been in vain. After all, he had been chasing the lass since their meeting at the bar when she first attracted his attention.
When Jamie motioned towards Arrin, the elf couldn't hold back a sickening expression. Out of all of the women he had flirted with, the blonde haired she-man had not been one of them! Losing his calm behavior for a moment and turning after Jamie, he quickly covered for himself, carefully leaving out all of the other details, "I would have never paid mind to Arrin, m'dear!"
He watched as Jamie swayed, walking towards the hut of her choice. With a smirk, Nicolas realised it was one of the smaller of the housing areas and hoped she wouldn't remain upset for far too long. The sky was growing darker and the male had been far too eager for the night to end on his terms. ciorrawolfmage Arrin was slightly wary of the way events were playing out. She didn't really trust the islanders when she was alert and on her feet; how was she supposed to sleep when she was completely surrounded by them? Still, it wasn't as though there was much choice in the matter. The rest of the pirates were heading towards the little huts to sleep, so she moved in that direction as well. Ahead of her, Jamie and Nicolas were clearly arguing, and the snatches of conversation she could hear left little doubt about the cause. After all, the elf was an obvious flirt, and the girl didn't seem to appreciate it. She didn't really care about their lovers' spat, but she couldn't help hearing a particularly vehement protest by the elf.
"I would have never paid mind to Arrin, m'dear!"
Arrin scowled. Not that she was interested in the arrogant man anyway, but there was no call for him to make her sound that unappealing. Still, she was determined not to let it bother her. She had plenty of practice concealing her emotions, after all. She plastered a grin on her face and flashed it at Jamie, then turned away from the two pirates and began conversing cheerfully with her monkey. A little suspicion of madness coudn't hurt her reputation among the pirates.
It occurred to her that the Master-at-Arms had said something about a temple. She wondered briefly if it would have any interesting treasure, or at least some sort of booty. She wasn't entirely unconcerned though; she knew next to nothing about these islanders, and for all she knew their idea of "religion" might include some sort of human sacrifice. It would pay to be wary. Kogoro Rachel walks back towards the huts, "How lazy are they?" she shook her head, and walked into one of the many huts that were in the village. This one contained a few people, Rachel kicks them lightly "Wake up you lazy bums!" She then walks out and into another of the huts, kicking any crew member that may be in one of them, trying to get the lazy crew up.
She walks out of the last hut, and waits outside, sitting on a large rock to see how quickly any of them actually got up. Meemo The gypsy gone pirate pulled away from the elf as she heard Rachel yelling for those in the huts to wake. She cursed under her breath, lips barely touching the male's before her. It had turned out that he had followed her back into her hut. But luck was not on their side. The young woman sat slightly atop the male, brow furrowed as she listened to the Master-at-Arms bark orders outside.
" That damned wench. " Jamie hissed between her teeth, slowing sitting up right. " I don't remember her bein' the Captain. " Her voice was cold as she rolled her hips sideways so as to then be sitting on the ground next to Nicolas, allowing him the ability to get up if he pleased.
Certainly they both were eager to make their way to the temple if there was a possibility of gold. Yet, Jamie remained dissapointed as she began to fix her hair back into a neat braid. Upon completeing the task she continued to tie her corset tightly, taking a deep breath as she secured it snugly against her ribs and breasts. Lastly she strapped her leggings back underneath her small skirt which had not left her hips.
Her sky blue eyes finally returned their gaze to Nicolas' form and she gave him a small smirk. " It's a tragedy, love. " She spoke softly, shaking her head. She referred to them having to halt their proceeds so soon. Jamie stood, rather comfortably actually because of her shorter standing. The young woman loomed over and glanced down at Nicolas.
"Really it is." She added, biting her bottom lip in a seductive manner towards him before slipping out of the hut and making her way towards Rachel, Arrin and Gabriel. Kieko The night had passed far too quickly for the man's taste and soon the sky was growing lighter and the voice of Rachel could be heard throughout the area the huts were located on. With a groan and disturbed expression, the man rolled onto his side and pulled on his trousers in a hurry. From the sound of shaking huts and grumpy pirates, Nicolas had assumed the master-at-arms had been barging into the sleeping areas and personally began waking them up. Another growl left the elf's mouth as he wondered what right the pirate who was in charge of keeping track of the weapons as well as the condition they were left in had such a control over everyone at the moment.
With every word Jamie spoke, the male felt his blood rise slightly. The woman may have had a way with words that Nicolas clearly understood. Slipping out from the hut after her, he looked out towards whomever may be outside. He hoped they could make their way quickly to the temple and actually gain something of it. The small monkey did not seem like a good enough prize for venturing onto the island, he would have much rather downed a tall pitcher of ale or a flask of rum. Once he got a good stare around the hut area, he had realised no one had even begun to leave. A weary expression had him quickly cracking his knuckles and approaching Rachel with a grin, "I can't say you play captain very well, lass.." His words were clearly disrespectful, but what could she expect after waking the man and keeping him from his true treasure.
Stepping out before the crowd and looking at John, Catherine, Rachel, Jamie and Arrin, he continued to grin, "That's enough of us, lets make our way to the temple. Quicker we get inside, quicker we can leave.. and by now, i'm about ready to leave this go-" The man coughed slightly and continued, "-island." Kogoro Rachel turns her head to the very annoying elf. She could have unsheathed her blade and slashed his head off then and there, but that would disrespect the Elder. Growing up on an island much like this one, she was taught many virtues, most of which she threw away, but some she did keep close ot her heart.
She had no words for Nicolas either, the dirty elf wasn't worth them. She gets off the rock and passes by the Captain on her way to the Elder. "Nó³ ³omos todos aqui agora. Se você ¬ para conduzir-nos por favor o o temple." She trys not to let on she has already been to the first door of the temple.

The Thirteenth of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
We reached our camp area to find out that many of us would have t' share tents. With a grin, I could not help but snag Jamie Gallows for myself with the hopes of something occuring during th' night. I can't deny us both, the wench has been as eager for it as myself!
When things were becoming more heated as I would have hoped, the most hideous voice could be heard from outside! Rachel was screaming n' banging on our sleep courters as though she had some right to.
Off meandering once again, though I do hope this night we arrive at the temple. I'm not partial to the idea of remaining close to these idiots, but the idea of a temple filled with treasures is keeping me close behind.

+ HOLD YOUR TONGUE ELF + Kieko Nicolas looked towards Rachel with a firm expression. Her lack of words was not surprising, though he found her behavior increasingly obnoxious. He, too, was not the captain, but he probably had a better understanding of the crews annoyance than she did. The trip to the island had not been as exciting as many of the crew had planned for. While he remained where he was, hand clenched around the hilt of his sabor, he continued to watch the group. Katherine did not seem to be taking charge and he wondered if she realised Rachel seemed to be a larger threat than he.
When Katherine had come closer to Nicolas, whispering quietly in his ear, he bared his teeth and tightened his grasp upon his sword. "Captain, shouldn't your words be directed to the woman who is currently taking your place? Have you any idea of what both she and the natives are speaking in their foreign tongue?" The elf had spoke loud and clear for all of the crew members to hear and then, much quieter, he brought his face closer to his captain, "Could she not have easily plotted your demise by bringing you into the temple and killing you herself? She is, after all, the master-at-arms. Maybe you should find your true enemies and keep yourself from being paranoid? Your paranoia makes you seem weak..." Amsterdam Katherine glared cooly at Nicolas. "You're forgetting one thing -I would trust the most bloodthirsty barbarian before I trusted an elf."
She sneered at him before softening her gaze to look at Rachel. "But perhaps our master-at-arms would be kind enough to share her intentions with us, if we simply ask?"
The Captain struck a casual pose, careful to look as though she didn't care what came out of the islander's mouth, because she had such implicit trust in her. Truthfully, she was as curious as the insolent elf, but she wouldn't give him the pleasure of knowing that. Kieko Nicolas brought himself farther from the captain, understanding fully that his words could have easily have costed his life. He had taken a chance in being so bold and realised that now, in such a low class, there was no room for this. Having grown up, the son of a great Captain, Nicolas was having a difficult time lowering his pride and accepting the obnoxious behavior from nearly every higher ranked pirate as everyday behavior.
Turning his head towards Jamie, he watched her silently. No smile appeared on the elfs face and for a moment it appeared as if he had nearly given up in his desires. The lack of his usual grin, however, was only due to his deep thoughts. It was not clear as to what he was supposed to do and every out of character action he had taken had resulted in more frustration from his higher officers.
Grinning finally and looking towards Rachel, he listened to Katherine's words carefully. What she had asked was indeedly discrete, though he was certain it had somehow spawned from his words. Had he put doubt within the captain's mind? Every hope in his mind suddenly led to Rachel making even the slightest of mistakes. If he could prove she was some sort of liar, he may have some of the anger directed off of him. Kogoro "Well, since some of you believe I am conspiring to kill you all, I am not conspiring anything. Though there are a few things I haven't told you yet." She looks over to Nicolas, then to Katherine.
"Last night, I was at the Elder's Hut. He asked me questions of how I found my pendant, and if I knew about it's past. So I told him how I found it, and that no I knew nothing about it's past on this island until that day."
She pauses to take a breath, "This morning before waking you all I went to look at the temple. I was able to read the characters carved in the stone of the first door." She takes another breath before continuing.
"I planned on telling you at the temple, but I might as well thell you now." What the door said wasn't the most cheerful thing, but they did need to know about it.
"The door read, 'Three paths to the border of Heaven and Earth, three doors to test one's purity, The pure will triumph, and the impure will be punished!' there were a few lines that were worn away and I coul not read them." Island Native The Elder nods to Manah and then the commotion began thanks to the pointy-eared one. The Elder tensed up and glared at the one with pointy ears, his expression was that of pure anger from the man disrespecting Manah, and in a way what seemed to be disrespecting his village!
After the commotion seemed to settle down, and the Elder finally calmed down. The one with the pointy ears had no respect, he would surely feel the wrath of the temple when they venture through it. It would be the punishment he deserved for his behavior when a Village Elder was present.
He smiles, and motions for the group to follow him to the temple, it wasn't far, but the terrain was very muddy, with small patches of quicksand, one needs to watch their step if they want to get the the holy Temple. He had one of the hunters stay beside him, and had the other two stay behind the outlanders to keep them in line if needed. Meemo Jamie had rested hearself against a young tree. Leaning against it she adjusted her clothing as well as fixing her dagger under her small skirt. Her sky blue eyes glanced upwards at Nicolas as he spoke to Rachel, commenting on her behavior. His words rang true. Even so, they had him in a slight pickle with the Captain quicker than one could blink. The one eyes woman had leaned close to the male, whispering so as they rest of them could not hear.
Nicloas spoke loudly though, causing a large smile to drift across the tanned womans features. He had accused Rachel of plotting behind Katherines back. This would certainly be interesting to watch. Not only had the elf stated such things he had then proceeded to call Katherine weak.
His look towards her then followed and Jamie returned it. Her sky blue eyes searched his own. Why did he look her way? The young gypsy gone pirate then caught the odd look from Nicolas. It was almost as though he were giving up. Now that was out of character. He didn't seem like the man to let others ideas and thoughts, as well as actions,. trouble him or knock him astray of his goal.
Rachel spoke up and Jamie found herself rolling her eyes as she listened. They closed and she shook her head. She had been planning to tell them at the door? Well, that would have given them plenty of time to go over their situation. Taking a deep breath Jamie then stood upright and began to follow Rachel, the Natives and the Elder.
She brushed her shoulder into Nicolas and she gave him a sly smile. " Now, let's try to get through this damned temple without you pissing off the brabarians, savvy? I wouldn't want to end up impaled on a wall because of your little tongue." What she said was serious, yet stated in a more teasing manner. Kieko Rachel's announced information sounded so rehearsed, he did not doubt she might leave out a few warnings. Looking over towards the temple, he grew somewhat uneasy. Would the actions of his past unable him to venture through the temple safety? The elf knew he would take the risk anyhow, but it was a somewhat disturbing thought. What sort of things happened to those unpure of heart? He folded his arms and looked about the group of pirates, "Have not all of us slayed opposing pirates and smugged items illegally? What pirate is pure of heart?" He spoke loud enough for the group to hear. Afterall, the group was pirates and during two battles, the lot of them had slayed many others.
As the group continued forward, almost ignoring the man's statement, he shook his head and began to follow them. As they walked, Jamie neared and he grinned again, enjoying having her near. What she said had indeed been serious and Nicolas knew of this, though he also knew of his pride and how, if put in the wrong situation, could bring out his sabor upon Rachel. With a quick nod and a pirate-like smirk, he spoke, "I'll keep m' mouth locked for now lass, but I won't make any promises.." Island Native The Elder goes through a small bush, and arrives at the temple. He waits for the outlanders to arrive. He felt slighty uneasy with allowing outlanders inside their temple. Even if the temple has been closed off since their village priestess passed to the world of the dead. He knew what the carvings on the first door said, though since they were unable to even open that door, he knew little more.
The door had a small round opening, the pendant was the key to the door opening, but when the door opened, the pendant would become locked in the temple. Would Manah give up her pendant to open the first door? She did say she would do all she could to get them to the alter at the border of Heaven and Earth, but she was still an Outlander. In the past they had all learned that Outlanders shouldn't always be trusted.

The Fourteenth of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
Though Rachel has attempted to convince us all that her intentions are pure, I find it hard to believe that the master at arms would act so commanding with no hopes of eventually becoming a Captain. Her actions scream mutiny with her every step. Katherine is a lucky lass to have both Ms. Gallows as well as myself not so fond of Rachel.
We have been nearin' the temple and at the moment it is in view. It looks no more impressive than the group of tents, though that means nothing of it's contents. I will keep Jamie close at my side when we enter.

+ AT THE TEMPLE + Amsterdam Katherine watched the old man mysteriously disappear through a bush, and after a vicious struggle with said bush wherein some hair, clothing and skin were lost, she followed him.
She emerged to find herself in front of a rather unimpressive stone building. For a holy temple it was more than a bit shabby, crumbling at the edges with vines trailing all over. The Captain leaned in to inspect the damage and realized some of the cracked facade appeared to be intentional.
After a moment she realized this must be the mystical door Rachel had been yabbering about, so full of curiousity, Katherine reached out to poke it. Nothing interesting happened, so after squinting at the incomprehensible squiggles for a while longer, the Captain called for her master-at-arms. Perhaps getting the island woman to poke it would work better. Kieko Nicolas still smiled towards Jamie, but now he continued on, making sure to keep the smaller woman within site. As he neared the temple, he watched the elder, other natives and Katherine take the lead. All of the speech of the temple had given it a mystical feeling, but when the elf had arrived, he noticed it was nothing but a crumbly building covered in plants! As he stood, one hand linked onto his belt and another holding onto his sabor carefully, the man awaited the next announcement. As he stood, the man wondered what he would have done in that situation. Whatever he would have decided, he knew his crew would have ventured into the temple already.
As he watched his captain reach out naively to poke at the door, he realised he couldn't hold back his grin any further. As a captain, Katherine had a strange way of ensuring she was in charge. When the group had reached the door, she wished to be the first to touch it, despite the fact that he touch would have done nothing. Nicolas laughed inwardly at the thought and glanced back towards Jamie. Had she been just as amused as he, or was the warm weather and idle walks beginning to bother her? Kogoro Rachel walks out of the bushes, and to the door of the temple. She looks at the characters on the door, trying to read the worn characters. She takes a while to read the message she told the crew, slowly adding words behind it until she believed she knew what the full message was.
'Three paths to the border of Heaven and Earth, three doors to test one's purity, The pure will triumph, and the impure will be punished! The mind is stronger than the sword, the mind will open the doors, the doors will lead to power.' She believed that to be what the whole thing said. She could be right about the last part, or completely wrong. The first part didn't fit with the last part. The last part also appeared to be much older than the first. Why would that be?
Rachel sighs and takes off her pendant. "Goodbye," she whispers to the golden pendant as she places it into the round hole, the ground begins to rumble, and the door slides into the wall, opening into the temple. "Now, we go in." She walks forward into the dark temple, waiting for everone else to follow her inside. Meemo Jamie arched her brows high as they exited the vegetation and gazed upon the temple. She had pictured something grand and dazzling tot he eye. Now she chewed on her lower lip as she let a disapponted breath through her slightly parted lips. They all paused and Jamie rested most of her weight on one of her hips, leaning a bit as she crossed her arms ove her chest.
Katherine had approuched the temple and poked the stone. And that accomplished what? Jamie shook her head, allowing a small chuckle to emerge from within herself. She caught Nicolas' look and she offered him a small smile of amusement. The yougn woman's lips parted and she leaned towards the male as if she were going to speak, yet she held her tongue as Rachel opened the doors of the temple using her pendent.
"Interesting." She spoke instead, leaning away from Nicolas to follow the others into the worn ruin. Her sky blue eyes gazed about the inards of the building and she noted the three seperate paths. She only hoped that they would not be spereated to go alone. She would never admit it but she hated walking about unknown eerie places alone.
The shorter woman had taken a small step closer to Nicolas without noticing herself doing so. It was an instinctive move for she was looking for someone to somewhat lean on. The dark and Jamie were not the best of friends. And the tunnels werent exactly leading into well lit homey rooms. She gave a sigh, allowing herself to come off as being unimpressed or bored. Even so, her hand was not far from her small skirt and the dagger that lay beneath it. Kieko Nicolas continued forward so he could listen to what Rachel spoke. He wanted to be sure he heard everything clearly as to not make a fool of himself once inside. As he stepped closer towards the entrance, he asked again, "What pirate here is pure of heart? Is this not a test we may all surely fail, lass?" He spoke to Rachel and contrary to all other times he spoke to her, his tone was not as aggressive this time. The elf had calmed his temper slightly to please the captain and intended to respect the master-at-arms for the time being.
Like the first time, others began to walk into the temple before his question was answered. With an aggravated expression, though he wasn't truly mad, he followed after both Rachel and Jamie. As he walked behind the two of them, he looked about inside and grimaced. Like the outside, the inside did not seem much more amazing, he hoped once they reached their destination, they may stumble across something worth their time. It had seemed so much time had been wasted already. Meemo Finding herself standing sloser to Nicolas than she had entended Jamie stepped sidways. She did not want herself to be viewed weak or afraid in any way. So she look to one of the three tunnels and took a deep breath. " I'm asuming we are going to split up. I'll be taken this one then. " She smelt the dusty air in the tunnel she stood in front of; it happened to be the first one. " I smell treasure ahead."
Turning her back to the crew she chewed on her lower lip once more, frightened beyond all reason. She knew she would have to get over her fear in one way or another. She was a pirate now, not a helpless dancer. She could take care of herself and feared nothing. Letting out the breath she didnt know she had been holding Jamie turned to look to the group. " Well? We huntin' for treasure or what?" Island Native The three Islanders that brought them to the island walked inside the temple, picking up any outlanders that hadn't already went inside the temple. They place the outladers they brought inside down with the group, then they walk over to the unlit torches in the entrance room, hitting stones together to make a spark, they light the torches.
The Elder turned and began to walk to the door, before he was able to go through, the door had slammed shut! The door was not supposed to do that, as long as the pendant was in the 'keyhole.' He gasps as he notices that the pendant wasn't in the 'keyhole' anymore! Where could it have gone? He was baffled at the strange occurances at the temple, the last time it was opened, the door only closed when the priestess left, and the pendant was always in the 'keyhole' back then.
He sighs, he was no use to them anymore. He was unable to get inside, and he couldn't shout through the stone for it was far too thick. The outlanders and the three villagers would have to find a way to open the door again. Perhaps making it to the Altar Room would re-open the door? Kogoro Rachel turns to the door, she didn't expect it to slam shut. Though good old Nicolas would try and blame it on her... She then turns to the Islanders and begins talking to them in private. Not the smartest move to make herself look innocent, but she could care less at the moment.
She turns back to the crew, "Alright, we will be splitting up into teams." She turns to Jamie and Nicolas, "Jamie and Nicolas will take the path to the right." She turns towards Arrin and John, "Arrin and John will take path to the left." She turns to Gabriel and Katherine, "Katherine, Gabriel and I will take the centre path."
She sighs, "Each of the teams will be accompanied by one of the Islanders," she motions to each islander to which team they were to go with. "There will most likely be traps along the paths, dont get killed." She walks over to her team.

The Fifteenth of May, In the Year of Our Lord 1606, Journal,
We have reached the temple finally, although as I had assumed farther back, it does not seem like an'thing fancy. Th' Captain went about poking at the door with no avail, but it was Rachel who could reach the jibberish outside. Th' lass is awfully strange if you ask me. I am still unsure of why Katherine puts such a trust in the wench.

+ TEMPLE RIDDLES + JohnnyBones Island Temple Event The temple door has closed! Your only hope is to get to the final room. You have been split into teams by the Master-at-Arms, each team has recieved a path go down. This event is a Timed Race the fastest team to make it to the end will win some rather nice booty. Time will be counted as the time it takes you to correctly answer the doors. If you take 10 minutes to answer door 1, then 20 to answer door 2, you are at 30min. Time to get to the next door is NOT counted 10 Minute breaks in between doors give a slight chance to slower teams to possibly catch up. Meemo The young woman was in a bit of a hurry to get out of the awkward group and towards the treasure. Her hand reached out as she took a few long strides towards the lf and caught him by the cuff of his shirt, tugging him a bit to make him follow. Her sky blue eyes narrowed on him momentarily before she let go of him and headed into the right tunnel that Rachel had assigned the two of them. An islander walked near them, giving her a slightly irritated aura.
" Move yer boots, Mr. Morgan. " The woman spoke, glancing behind her at the male. It seemed she didnt care much for what Rachel said about there being traps. The one thing she was concerned about was the darkness that almost engulfed them. " Or are ye actually going to let the lady nab the treasue fir-"
The woman was caught off as she nearly collided head on with a large wall in front of her. It seemed to be a dea dend. She wa slucky one of her hands had been out in front of her to catch her form before her face had hit the stone. She blinked up at the large stone wall, squinting at it slightly as she realized it was no wall at all, but a door. JohnnyBones The door had some words carved into the stone, to your luck they were in english! The Stone Door's Test Read: 'It's a part of Heaven, though it touches the Earth. Some say it's valuable, others say no worth.
What is it?'Kieko Nicolas felt the small woman grab ahold of his sleeve and drag him forward. With a slight chuckle, he followed her, ignoring the creepy native joining their supposed team. Nicolas silently wondered what use the native would be to them if they already developed such a hatred towards his ear shape? Ignoring the thought, he noticed the woman had paused and he quickened his pace to follow after her.
Once he reached Jaime, he realised she had been looking at a door. The door had some writing carved into it in what seemed to be english! What their luck! Reading it over quickly, the elf furrowed his brow and focused his attention on Jamie. What use would the damned english be if it wasn't even worded properly! Crossing his arms and leaning against the wall, he hoped the woman could better answer the riddle. Nicolas felt so foolish. Meemo It's a part of heaven, though it touches earth. " Jamie recited the riddle to herself, staring at the floor. She hadnt thought that she would be needing to use her brain to get through the damned tunnel; and get to her treasure. " Some say its valuable.. " She continued, chewing on her lower lip. It was the nervous habit that she had picked up from her mother. She now began to pace, playing with her long braid in both hands. " ..others say there's no worth."
Her sky blue eyes looked to the ceiling as a smile crossed her features. Her mother had used to tell her of such things that were valuable in the sky. She had never seen one but her mother told her stories. They were supposed to be a wonderous sight.
Ms. Gallows gave a hopeful look to Nicolas before she crossed her fingers for luck and looked to the door, unsure of how she was supposed to answer the riddle. Out loud? Why not?
" It's a Rainbow." JohnnyBones The floor rumbles beneath Nicolas and Jamie, as the carvings in the door glow green. The door then slides down, the tunnel became longer, and appeared to go on quite a way. Jamie and Nicolas have a 10 minute break before they can go to the next door. Perhaps this is a good opportunity for the two to talk. Kieko Nicolas, with his back still against the wall, watched as his partner paced back and forth. She mouthed the words, whispering them softly as she thought and Nicolas only observed her. He had read the words once over and had no idea what they could be speaking of, "The sky?" He spoke out, though it seemed the woman had beat him to a much more reasonable answer, "A rainbow?" Nicolas questioned, his brow cocked and his face unamused. It was no wonder the bitter elf knew nothing of this question. Had his younger sister been there to read the words, she may have answered it herself. Nicolas, unlike her, had no skills in that sort of thing.
After Jamie spoke the answer aloud, Nicolas' gaze turned to the door as if waiting for something to happen. There did not seem to be any directions as to how to answer needed to be said, though just reciting it sounded crazy. How could her words open the door, "You sure you just need t' say it aloud, lass?" He questioned her again, though she had probably been correct. Meemo " Of course i'm sure. " Jamie muttered as the door slid open, exposig an endless path of darkness ahead. Jamie retreated into herself as she stood facing the pitch black tunnel. There were some things she would need to face to get over her fear. Yet, she had been trying for some time and nothing seemed to work. She turned to look to Nicolas, giving him a smile as she began to walked backwards. She beckoned for the native to follow, for she wanted his torchlight near her.
Her fear would have most certainly subsided if she had only asked for Nicolas to walk more closely with her but she did not want to seem weak. She never wanted to seem weak. The feeling of being vulnerable and unable to help herself would drive her insane.
Still she looked to Nicolas and paused, her heels clicking against the stone flooring. " Are ye coming? " The young lass asked, still playing with her braid, so as to keep her mind off of the still darkness around them. Kieko Nicolas watched as the pirate woman continued on into the tunnel. She had, indeed been right and the elf was honored to have her on his team. With a broad grin, he followed after, more pleased at the idea of possible treasure than actually solving whatever issues the natives had with their temple. Thoughts of gold, precious gems and sacred artifacts drifted through his mind as he continued after the woman.
Stepping closer to Jamie, as if he knew what she had been thinking, he wrapped an arm around her waist as they walked through the tunnel. His arm did not stay long, however, for soon his sapphire eyes caught site of a similar stone doorway like the one they had just viewed. Feeling as if he accomplished something, the man quickly released his grasp of Jamie and approached the door with a grin. Silently he hoped it may be something other than a riddle, but what, he was not sure of. JohnnyBones The door had some words carved into the stone, to your luck tis one was in english too! The Stone Door's Test Read: 'I am a box with no corner or side. I hold a golden treasure inside. What am I?' Meemo The warmth around her waist instantly calmed the woman. Jamie smiled into the dark, glancing to Nicolas. There it was again. The damned elf. His cursed charm and his flawless appearance. Thanks the heavens they had run into a similar wall. Nicolas freed her from his light grip and eagerly approuched the wall, a grin plastered on his face.
Jamie couldnt help but smile as she watched the male examine the wall. It seemed he was as excited as she to find what could be waiting for them at the end of this tunnel. Treasure. She could only imagine the piles of gold coins and precious gems. The thought made her shiver.
Running up beind Nicolas, her heels clicking as she did so, she halted at his side, gazing at the wall for another riddle or something of the kind.
The riddle came into view and Jamie frowned, straining to think this one over. She sighed, letting her breath out from between her lips as she leaned ont he walla nd slid down it. She was now sitting ont he floor, head rested on her knees as she thought.
" I have no ideas, Nicolas." She admitted, looking up to the elf. Kieko As Nicolas viewed the door at a closer angle, he realised there were similar words carved into the wall. The writing was familiar and quickly the elf realised this door had been engraved in the common language as well! With a determined expression on his face, the male examined the words and resaid them quietly to himself. He did not wish to allow Jamie's vision to spot his riddle as he felt it was his place to answer this door's words. "Box?" He questioned himself, nearly stumped over what the hell the answer could have been.
Leaning against the wall near the door, he crossed his arms and opened his eyes, imagining what the answer could have possibly been. He hoped Jamie would not shout out the word that would be so clear to her. If the woman continued to lead them through the tunnels, the male would feel a hint of guilt as he scavenged for the treasure that she had earned herself. With his pride on the line, the man continued to think, when suddenly, as if it had been clear all along, the answer came to him, "An egg."
With an unamused expression, the man watched the door, awaiting for some sort of response. JohnnyBones The ground rumbles under Jamie and Nicolas, much like it did at the first door, the carvings on the door glow green as did the other door. The door slides to the right revieling more darkness past the door, probably not a pleasing sight. Nicolas and Jamie have another 10 minute break before they can go to the next door. Meemo Jamie cringed as she listened to door skid across the floor. She stood quickly, for she had been leaning against the door that was now vanishing. Her sky blue eyes widened as she stood and looked to Nicolas. One of her thin brows arched and she chuckled.
" An egg?!" She shook her head, not even sure how he could have known such a thing. She laughed once more and took a few steps towards the male. " Well, I thought we were stumped for a moment there."
Jamie's bangs had been growing since they had left port on the Dementia. They now were beginning to frame her face and slightly hide her eyes as she looked to Nicolas. Jamie fought not to look at the tunnel, for she already knew what was there. Nothing. Kieko Nicolas kept his arms crossed and upon realising that he had spoken the correct answer, had gained much of his cocky-behavior back again. With a dashing grin, he continued through the dark hallway, at least one step ahead of Jamie. If the woman guessed the third riddle, he would not hold it against her, but if he could, he would attempt to answer it himself. The fact that he was one step closer to the treasure because of a faint memory in the back of his mind was reason enough to smile. He had aided in leading them to the treasure.
Turning back to ensure that the short skirted woman was following, the male offered his own remark now, "You don't plan on lagging behind now, lass, do ye?" His voice was somewhat taunting as if now, although the two were on a team, they were battling one another for the answers. Although his grin remained, his eyes looked forward soon after speaking to Jamie, determined to come across a third door. Meemo " Aye. I'm comin'" Jamie picked up her pace, lightly jogging to come to a trot beside Nicolas. She was glad he had gotten them through the door, but she was of course slightly angered that she ahd allowed something so simple of an answer to slip her mind. The small woman began to skip lightly, her modd hightened as they ventured deeper into the darkness. Once again she almost ran into the wall.
Now she rose a brow, skidding to a halt, hands resting on the stone door to keep herslef from falling. " Beat ya to it Mister Pirate. " Jamie commented, grinning back at Nicolas. She then looked to the words, trying to read them first. It was more so like they were battling each other within their team now. It was about pride and bragging rights.
