The last thing she remembered was trying to tear Benitoite's jaw out with her bare hands.

The last thing she felt was a rush of adrenaline, that last-ditch effort sort of enthusiasm. We're going down, but dammit we won't make it easy.

The last thing she saw was a rush of light and bewildered faces and now...

...now they were on the moon?

Kallichore found herself surprised, no, shocked, at what had happened. She was prepared for the worst, prepared to go down in a blaze of blood and glory. She fought as hard as she could alongside Tsui and Nyx, Chaonis and Pasiphae, Ganymede and Valhalla, Camelot and a whole host of others. There were even senshi she'd never met before holding their own on the battlefield. Was this their reward? A ghostly queen offering up a sanctuary? Kallichore wasn't sure what to make of this. Before she could really process anything, she fell to her knees and released the breath she didn't know she was holding.

How many died tonight? How many more were corrupted? They didn't win. The eternal of madness was more upset about those lost than what was gained. Sure, they had a new place to hold meetings and whatever, but what about all those people that died at the hands of the Negaverse? Couldn't the queen have teleported them out in the nick of time?

With a dissatisfied grunt, the gray haired senshi pulled herself onto her feet and began to look for her comrades. She spotted Ganymede and announced her presence quietly so as not to startle him. They've been through too much already.

"Hey.... thank you." came an even tone. No hostility, no remorse. Just pride and genuine thanks.

"No clue, Page Kailash," was the reply that the scraggly haired lad would receive from Nysa. He sounded relatively level-headed about the whole ordeal here, which was odd seeing as they were on the moon. However, it wasn't the same circumstances that came with him going to his own wonder. Here, he wasn't forced to remain underwater, against any of his own personal desires. Here, he was above ground, able to see many things around him, and even gaze upon the beautiful blue and green swirled marble that was Earth in the sky.

It was odd, but at the same time, it wasn't nearly as harsh upon his nerves as the Wonder of Nysa was for him.

The Neptunian Page glanced to Athene, who seemed absolutely awe-struck as well, though not so much about the location, but more in regards to the ghostly figure addressing them all. Once more, it was odd, but it also was not the first time such had been sprung upon him. His ancestor had seen to it that spirits were a bit less intimidating.

Though, based upon how lovely and kind a woman this spirit seemed, Nysa was quite certain it would be hard for her to seem intimidating at all. Her words were reassuring, and her body language was completely unassuming. Though he was not familiar with who this woman could be, some whisperings in the crowd made it evident that this was supposed to be the so-called tyrannical ruler of the Moon Kingdom. If first impressions were anything, then the Negaverse was way off on their assessment of who the Moon Queen really was.

Where as some seemed too dazed to speak to the spirit before them, the Page of Nysa stepped forward and spoke up.

"We are grateful for any and all assistance you have offered. Though it is unfortunate that you are unable to accompany us in person, I do want to ask if you know what has become of the other Princesses? The Princess of the Moon and the Princesses of the other planets? What of them?"

Though he was not expecting any spectacular news to come of his prompt, he humbly stood in place, eyes attentively fixed upon the spectral queen.

At the moment, all Oberon wanted to do was go home. He didn't want to be a senshi any more. He didn't want to fight magical creatures that turned into dust when it was attacked enough. He just wanted to be a normal eleven-year-old with normal eleven-year-old problems. Like getting in trouble for not turning homework in on time, or getting yelled at for running up the escalator the wrong way at department stores.

People dying...? That wasn't what he signed up for. He didn't think of himself as a coward... he just knew what he didn't like, and he didn't like the fact that everyone was being killed for things that happened so long ago. He could have all the adventures he wanted while trying to change the world with whatever means necessary, but these random acts of violence? Like when the General with the eyepatch kicked him for no reason? That... he did not want.

He clung to Ganymede even as they were whisked away and a mysterious voice spoke to them. He wondered if Hypnos was okay, or if any of the others his age were handling it any better. Was he strange for being scared of the death around him? Did the others welcome the chance to fight so readily that being killed didn't even cross their minds?

Glancing up finally when Ganymede stood, Oberon was overtaken with awe at the sight of the Earth in the sky, and strange structures around them. Could... could they really be on the moon? Or perhaps some other satellite hovering above the atmosphere...? Either way, he looked around to the others, and then at the image of the woman before them all. He didn't understand what was going on... but he decided that he was definitely going to grab a rock from this place... just because.

Valhalla stood beside Ganymede and the child he had been determined to protect throughout the battle, his breathing still heavy from fighting, but as they disappeared from where they'd been and ended up in a more serene setting, his compass was slowly lowered to his side.

His eyes fell as the woman told them not to despair and the rainbow princess swore to protect the innocent...

He felt like he would just be ridiculed for his contrasting thoughts... so he spoke them softly, to those few around him, those willing to listen.

"Despair is completely different from corruption... Sadness and feelings of regret, remorse... that's all part of human nature. Telling us not to despair after everything we've done, everything we've fought for and the lives that were lost... it just... feels like we're being told to give up who we are as humans. People aren't falling to corruption because they're in despair... they're being corrupted because people like Ares force them to be that way. Telling us not to despair is like telling us to be happy all the time. That's just as unhealthy and inhuman. But that's just me..." he trailed off before he could get too passionate about it...

He had a feeling no one was listening, anyway. No one besides Ganymede and maybe a few of the others, but the likelihood that they would agree with him over some mysterious Moon Queen was unlikely.

"Why do we just have to protect the innocent...? Yes, justice needs to be dealt for those responsible for whatever crimes they have committed, but do some of them even understand what they're doing?" He hated that he sounded like he was defending murderers, because he absolutely wasn't. Hell, he yelled at people for throwing cigarette butts on the ground! But he did believe in second, maybe even third chances. Forgiveness wasn't something one could force, but working together to solve the problems in the world... that was more power he imagined these princesses and queens combined could handle. Not when no one was willing to try. They just wanted to fight, fight, fight for the innocent, instead of backing up and saying 'no' to fighting and take a step in the direction towards peace.

Valhalla glanced up towards Kallichore as she offered her thanks to Ganymede, glad to see that she looked like she'd pull through, but felt too on edge from the fight to offer her any more than a small nod.

One moment Sailor Eunomia was making a desperate attempt to run through a wall of violence and get back to the people she had worked so hard to keep safe, or at least within her line of vision, and then ultimately was separated from them in an ultimate failure thanks to nearly unsurvived hits from much, much more powerful enemies, and the next moment her boots hit the ground, on the moon, of all places.

It took a moment to process for sure. At first there was a feeling of dread, being ripped away from the sounds of sirens to an unfamiliar place. As her alter ego, Evelyn Caffrey's mother was a cop, and the sound of sirens were deeply imprinted in her mind as the sound of rescue, and promise of safety. But, she realized, this transportation to this strange place was the rescue, and nothing safe was waiting for her if they had all been left to face what those sirens were bringing.

It was unsettling. The death toll, the danger, that was all earth shaking, but in a weird way that was only just starting to weave into her mind now that her focuses weren't 100% based in protecting and surviving.

"Iris...?" She asked weakly, in a near whisper that she was sure went unheard. She hadn't made it there in time to assist with Sassolite. But the aftermath wasn't hard to figure out. Eunomia felt lower than the moondust under her boots.

Then her mild and bewildered calm was shattered with a sharp inhale and frantic looking around. "Irene?!" Why the hell was Irene so special? She barely knew her even by senshi standards, even if she knew her second best, that wasn't saying a whole lot. But now wasn't the time to ask these questions. All she knew is she felt terrorized every time the little senshi of Peace was out of her sight in the battle. She also spared a thought for blue-haired-scarf-senshi, but it was harder to vocalize a name you didn't even know.

Ganymede listened to Valhalla, and in many ways he agreed with him, but he found he didn’t have anything left to say on the subject. He continued to keep his silence, spent his time trying to breathe properly, trying to swallow down the revulsion. What would it matter anyway? He wasn’t out to convince the ghost of a dead queen of anything. Beyond saving them, she meant nothing to him. This place meant nothing to him.

Hadn’t it been the cause of it all, in a way? Even if both sides bore some part of the blame—as he was sure they did—and even if the Negaverse had perhaps soiled their hands more than the forces of light, hadn’t the moon been an integral part of what had started all of this?

He didn’t know. Maybe he was just proving how stupid he really was, holding onto his doubts so stubbornly. He hadn’t listened to the pink-haired princess’s story, hadn’t heard it from Oberon yet like he’d intended. There hadn’t been the time. Maybe he was still just as ignorant as he’d been a year and a half ago. Part of him didn’t even want to know, feared it wouldn’t be worth all they’d been through.

Movement from one of the others caught his attention, a voice he recognized spoke to him, and Ganymede turned to set his eyes on Kallichore. She looked better. Not perfect—never perfect, what with the state her fuku was always in even on a good day—but better, whole, alive, and even though the memories of what his magic had done still made him sick, he thought there was at least some small bit of good in it if it meant Kallichore had come out of the confrontation alive.

Ganymede gave Oberon’s shoulder a squeeze, and then released him to stumble his way toward his teammate. He’d hugged her once, very soon after his father had died; or, rather, he’d let her hug him. As comforting as it had been at the time, it hadn’t been an experience he’d considered repeating. Not until tonight.

He opened his arms as he approached her, wrapped them around her when he was close enough, and whispered poignantly, “I’m glad you’re okay.”

And he meant it, far more than he ever thought he would.

Albireo caught sight of the one who was supposed to be the leader of the little…uh. ‘Team’ that she was on. The girl was standing there just…

Oh great. She was crying. The senshi sighed, half wanting to go over there, and half just wanting to stay away. Wasn’t that what Acubens had been doing all during the meeting too? Just crying her eyes out or something?

Albireo sighed once more and rubbed at her forehead. Well. She was supposed to be a team member, right? So, perhaps she should just get this over with. She walked over to Acubens and cleared her throat. “Um, are you okay there?” She didn’t want to betray any of her feelings right now, but…if being up on this rock and seeing this strange ghost was affecting Acubens so greatly, then perhaps Albireo just…didn’t have any feelings left. Or something.

Acubens almost jumped as Alberio spoke to her. Her eyes were wide as she turned them on the other senshi. She smiled after a moment and rested her hand on Alberio's arm.

"Nah sorry. I guess you must be getting tired of your cry baby leader, huh?" Acubens smile took a rather apologetic turn. "I just... I don't know what to do with my feels sometimes. Really, the best thing to do is to let me wear myself out. It'll happen eventually.

"But enough about me, how did you fair? I had no idea you were even here in the first place? Are you hurt?" Acubens did the same with with Alberio she did with Grus. She checked her neck and face, counted fingers and facial features. Everything seemed to be there.

One moment Pomona had been lobbing Pepper Grenades, then she’d be worrying about the sound of sirens, then she’d magically ended up on another freakin’ planet. The Moon, to be specific. With the ghost of some Moon royalty talking to them, giving what was probably some sort of comforting or rallying speech, but Pomona wasn’t paying attention.

They had been losing. They, the good guys, had been undeniably getting their asses handed to them. Every story and movie out there ended with good triumphing over evil, but that wasn’t what happened to today. Instead they had had a meeting where the tension and disorganization of their ranks had been put on display, and then there had been a disastrous battle that had shown just how very dangerous their squabbling was.

Now there was this ghost queen. The fabled Moon Queen had always been just that to Pomona: a fable, a myth, a fairy tale. One day she would come and unite them, and at last they would be the force for good necessary to win against Chaos once and for all. The reality, however, was somewhat lacking. She was a ghost. There were Senshi that wouldn’t rally around the living Princesses that they already had, so there was no hope that a ghost would unite them.

It was… disappointing. Yeah, great, now they had a safe meeting spot, but they were still ultimately at a stalemate.

Albireo gave a little laugh, but the happiness didn’t reach her eyes one bit. “Well. I honestly…didn’t even get a scratch, really.” She shrugged. There hadn’t been any real physical hurts. Just…a lot of mental…stuff.

“I suppose I’m quite lucky for that, honestly. I know…I uh. Saw a lot of people get killed. So that’s going to mess with me a fair bit…” Two of the people were her fault. Two of them. The one, Jarosite ripped the starseed out…because Albireo wouldn’t lie down and let him knock her out..and the other…

The other that b***h Painite crushed…

Albireo shuddered then looked away. “So…We’re up on the moon. I guess. How interesting.” Truth be told. She didn’t sound interested at all. Again, she was kicking herself for not just staying home. Staying home and staying safe.

From what the ghostly lady had been saying to Princess Iris' slow retreat, the gravity of the situation slowly sank in. It wasn't something that was going to make her break down in tears, she just wasn't that type of girl, but it was something that made her pause and frown deeply. Idly, the thumb of her free hand - the one not still attached to ********* skirt - was brushing against the hole in her cat plush's head.

"I'm fine," she replied to Victoria in a somber tone, "thanks though." Serenity was going one way and Iris the other and she wasn't sure which to follow right away, well most likely she would go after her captain but for now she was watching the others in their mourning.

"The Queen, huh..." Her eyes turned to ********* as she explained who the person was, had been. "So, that was in the past right?" She had heard a little bit about it, mostly from ChibiMoon's story, but not enough to give much more of a response and such. It was why things were in ruins, like on the few other space-y places she had gone to before.

Her eyes turned back to the others once again as they grieved and talked angrily to one another. Hygiea couldn't hear what they were saying but the looks on their faces said enough really. The chibi senshi could relate, she had a little anger in her head right then and there. But at the Negaverse, for doing what they had done. Killing so many people like it was nothing, crashing their meeting like it was nothing and just being what they were and thinking it was right.

It sucked really hard, but even then she couldn't find herself getting sad over all those dead people. Maybe it was because she didn't really know them, but she really didn't understand it. Maybe she was too tired to think. All she could feel was anger and exhaustion and she hefted a heavy sigh before turning toward Egeria. She needed to get her mind elsewhere now, "I'll see what I can do about your leg," she told the teal haired girl on ********* back.

"Herbal Remedy!" She called out, and a clap of her hands later she produced a small orb of light which she gently pushed where the arrow had struck her teammate's leg. It wasn't a complete heal, but it would at least help sooth some pain and help in the natural processes.

"Well, as long as we are.. since there isn't really supposed to be breathable air on this rock," Kailash replied to Nysa with a small twist of a smile.

His yellow eyes had only briefly left the image of the Earth in the sky to look upon the Queen as she addressed them with her kind eyes and her soothing voice. He could feel himself believe in her simple phrase of don't despair even though it was a little difficult to given what had happened.

Kailash found himself running a hand through his messy hair and making a disgruntled sound before turning his gaze back up, "this is all such crazy s**t." He wasn't talking to anyone in particular but Nysa and Athene were standing right there.. so.. well, maybe them. But it was a statement about everything, to sum up his feelings in so little an amount of words. Meetings getting crashed, having powers in general, Moon Queens and being on the Moon in general. The hell was going on with life.

Life was just so simple before, just staring at the stars. "What do you think's going to happen now?" Finally addressing Nysa and Athene this time with a proper question. "You don't suppose we can go to the other planets, do you?" Some of them seemed very unlikely given their physical make-up and all. Hell, Uranus was a big hunk of gas practically.

Acubens saw the lack of mirth in Alberio's eyes. She wanted to hit her. More than she'd wanted to hit anyone in her whole life. Damn it just... why did she join if she wasn't going to be a happy member, anyway? Acubens' lips thinning in an irritation she didn't bother to mask. She watched Alberio for a long while, trying to decide how she was going to handle this. Should she just deck the swan senshi right here for not even making an effort to help her team mate? Or should she just shrug it off.

"You didn't have to join me if you didn't want to," she muttered turning back to the ruins and the echoing ghost.

Irene was okay. Tired, certainly, from all the excitement and from sustaining her offering around so many people. Hurting, yes; while Iris' rainbow had helped soothe her throat, it still ached, and her chest burned. Worried? Initially, when Iris and Egeria were hit and the sirens came, but now all of that seemed so far away. She wasn't particularly dazed, even though others were whispering that they were on the moon, and that the ghostly lady was Moon Queen Serenity. The name didn't have a large significance to her. After all, she was with a princess.

"I'm okay." Saying it somehow made it more true. "I'm okay. Really!" She smiled at Eunomia and started to look around, but her heart felt like it had been left back on Earth, and she wasn't taking in her surroundings so much as she was trying to sift through everything that had happened. She wasn't even sure how the battle ended, it had all happened so quickly. One moment she was trying to keep her teammates alive amidst a swarm of Negaverse agents and various types of evil senshi. The next, she was on the moon. The shift in situation was so jarring that the shift in location didn't immediately penetrate. All that evening she had felt like she was light years behind her fellow warriors of Order, trying desperately to catch up with little to no success. This latest experience seemed to confirm that she was still just as behind as ever, if not more so.

Slowly, she started to acknowledge what was around her. Not the earth- that felt even farther away than it actually was, and she couldn't handle the thought of herself being hundreds of thousands of miles from home. Even though she had always dreamed of travel, this distance was too jarring to deal with right then and there. Instead, she looked at the architecture, or what remained of it, at least. There was lots of white stone, and the remains of what appeared to be columns. Very Greek, she thought. Or Roman, perhaps, but considering her own heritage, images of ancient Greece came into her head first. She ran her hand along a crumbled bit of stone, and almost tripped over a tangle of vines. The whole area was rather overgrown, but somehow that just added to its charm. Irene could imagine the remains of the castle on the moon as a charming garden in need of some landscaping, or the ruins of a temple she might find in an old city. Thinking of it that way helped to lessen the distance she was feeling between herself, the earth, and everyone around her.

She wasn't paying much attention to what other people were doing, but she did notice Iris start to head off on her own. No doubt she had her reasons, but Irene wasn't in a talking mood. Rather than ask, she simply followed the princess. She'd find out what was going on sooner or later, as long as she stuck with the people who cared about her.

"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

Aquarius was giddy. She couldn't help it, really. There she was, about to slaughtered for the third- or was it fourth?- time, and then all of a sudden she was on the moon. The moon! Sure, she had been to space already, and had spent more time than she really wanted to at her own outpost at the Surrounding, but this was different. This was the moon. She jumped experimentally, a bit disappointed when the gravity seemed fairly normal. Ever since she was little she had dreamed of flying to the moon, though this wasn't what her young self had had in mind. Her daydreams had involved spaceships and zero-g, not ruined castles and ghostly women.

And the woman, for some reason, seemed terribly familiar. She didn't look like anyone Aquarius had seen before, but that didn't stop her from feeling a sense of deja vu. Somewhere, somehow, they had met before. And not in the past. No, that wasn't strictly accurate- she could vaguely remember this woman at state functions- but that wasn't what was giving her this weird feeling.

Somehow, she managed to restrain herself from asking the cliched question of where they met before. Instead, she listened, the words the queen spoke hitting very close to home. Aquarius knew despair intimately. But how could she not, when so much had, and continued to, go wrong in her life? How could she fight when it hurt so much? She wanted to argue, but couldn't. The words felt directed at her, her guilty conscience interpreting them as chastisement, and she was unable to respond.

The Moon Queen's directions were simple: do not despair. There were lots of ways to do that. She could bury herself in her work, or distract herself with frivolities in her off time. Better still, she could find the inner strength to work past her problems and put her past behind her. At least, she could in theory. In practice, it was all she could do to walk and breathe at the same time, when her mind kept assaulting her with the sights and sounds of trauma gone by. When hot summer days and overcooked dinners made her feverish, and she could see imaginary flames licking at her skin, hear the screams of her fallen teammates. When fireworks and murder mysteries made her freeze, her arm heavy with the weight of the gun she was sure she still held. When a missed meal made her hunger for the flesh of her classmates, rather than for her usual pizza or can of cake frosting. It was appropriate that a ghost was talking to her; Aquarius lived in the past every day, paralyzed with fear.

Niflhel took the offered hand and stood with Polaris' help. He was a bit light headed and ended up leaning on his girlfriend more than he'd normally would like to have. "I feel like I could sleep forever."

He heard Nysa's question. It was a good one, he was curious. It seemed though the queen couldn't interact with them. Perhaps it was a recording? Or where ever she was she only had one way communication and couldn't hear their words? He was unsure.

Frowning a little as the queen mentioned to not despair. It was hard to follow that, after what had happened. His eyes traveled to Iris whom seemed interested in leaving, he wondered, half wanting to follow her and the other half interested in following the queen's vision. Shifting so he was comfortable and hopefully not putting too much weight on Polaris.

---

Victoria nodded softly he understood, the child didn't want a ride. "Hygiea, do you need another attack? Would that help?" He looked between Egeria and Iris. Both had been wounded by arrows, and he wore a small frown. Perhaps if he'd been more clear headed he would've been able to help more than he had been.

It was guilt and he paused as Iris headed another way. "Iris....?" He asked softly but cautiously, looking curiously as she had her back turned to them. He was wondering where she was going, if they should follow. Between the two of them, while he wanted to find out what was going on with the queen, he also didn't want to ditch his princess either. They could always explore later if what the moon queen said was true.

It seemed that Kailash was far newer at this role as a Page than even Nysa was. Though he had asked his question politely, he couldn't help but glance to the young man beside him.

"A Page may visit their wonder on the planet they served. I have already been to the Wonder, Nysa, on the planet Neptune. All you need to do is to say your oath as a Knight, clear your mind, and you will appear at the place in which you are named."

Having answered the question in as polite a manner as he could, he once more returned his gaze to the spirit he had prompted with his own question.

A text arrived for Hygiea from somewhere back on earth.

From Hug-bell to Hygiea:
I lost Zirconia, back across the street from meeting hall, I'm on the roof. There's cops everywhere, are you okay?
