Thye wolfos looked at the phone like it was possessed. It was buzzing. And it kept saying he had a message but there was no scroll and then it said he had two and there was still no scroll and what in Farore's name was it telling him. Growling he went out of his room, half dressed, seeking someone who could tell him where these messages were and why he didn't have a scroll arriving.
He felt quite foolish as it was explained to him that no, phones didn't notify of an arriving scroll. The notices only meant he had a message on his phone. It was an awkward moment, to which he retreated back to his room, got dressed then bound off. One text from Danny had him confused, the text from Rock simply had him curious. He had missed the events of the underground, but the idea students had gone missing was worry some. Especially after he'd encountered the one hunter.
On his way, one CAT was CAT in his CAT path. A low CAT growl and the wolfos CAT said very CAT calmly to CAT Jack, "Apparently, students are missing and now there is a hunt for them." He smiled, CAT fangs flashing at the CAT demon. "You have always seemed the type to like a good chase."
CATCATCATCATCAT He led the way, not wanting to follow Jack and go into chase mode on accident.
The confirmation that they were real were had him wary. Still he arrived, looking at Danny and then Alex and Roch he sniffed the air, After all symbols didn't just come from no where. "I am needed as a mount?"

Damien gave the ghoul a pup pout. "i guess that's fair, you didn't try and pet me yet, so i can comply." he grumbled out before trowing a piece at rock, but mostly at his face.
his old friendship with Roch, one based of playful teasing and pranks, it was good times. "i hope you can catch, ya musical trashcan." he said playfully before his ears swiveled around at the canine that entered the room.
A canine he did not know. a tail swished in reply as he padded a foot away from the hound and tired to catch the scent, and file it away like all the others. "i can't tell what type of canine you are." he stated simply, before tilting his head at the strange duty he carried, a mount what the...
However, his musing within himself fell short, as he gave Danny a sharp glare in order to silence her from continuing.

"Yeah?" He glanced at the marking on his hand, so similar to the one etched on the ground, and wondered just what it meant. A calling card, of course, but symbolism always carried more weight than first assumed. Had Alex signed himself over for more than just a simple rescue mission? He couldn't fathom if this was a contract and, if so, whether or not it worked like it did with demons. But he wasn't going to question it: if Bells had been among the ones taken, he would have taken the same path without hesitation.
He just hoped Medea wasn't giving a high price for her aid.
Pushing his glasses up, Mort gave the symbol a few more seconds of curious looks before pressing on. "Project 1, codename Thor," he explained, pulling up his left sleeve to reveal the construct went up to just above his elbow, every once in a while giving off a small glow as energy pulsed through its internal wires. "Hopefully f-first've many instruments made. Facilitates conductivity and thermodynamic activity as well as contain currents created by brain as part've own natural FEAR. Today, gets field test for battle weapon." He could already imagine punching a couple of faces that put a little gleeful edge to his sober look.
"But, ah, would ask two favors if don't mind. If come across salvageable tech while at Hunter base, try taking. Need, ah . . . samples to conduct certain experiments on. Second i-is more for Alex, though can take advice too, Mei." And here he turned to the other zomboil and made rather stern eye contact. "No heroics. Alright? Is pointless if save them but have others die in place. Goal of mission is get everyone out safely."

The jerky hit Roch in the shoulder, but he grabbed it before it fell, looking at it blankly before stuffing it into his mouth with a glance at Demi. For a second the punk hesitated, then he nodded. "Thanks, forgot to eat today," he called to the dog before turning to Vaith. He had no clue how stunning that one sentence was to anyone that knew him.
"Ask a stupid question, man," Roch told Vaith bluntly. "If they don't help, though, we're just gonna be left sitting here until teachers show up and try and evict us--or we can go to the lockers and back down into the underground, but I don't know if that'd do us any good, either." He shoved his hands into his pockets, wanting to pull out his cell phone and call Amphi's phone again, but not letting himself--
His fingers brushed the key he'd found in Tex's locker box. His hand wrapped around it, unconsciously.

Taima had thrown herself fully into her studies after the incident in the cave that some students hadn't yet come back from, according to rumor. She would be ready next time, now that she knew what to expect. She wouldn't need someone else's protection because she'd be able to protect herself, which meant that no one else would get trapped by a hunter's net because they were watching out for her, no one else would get taken--guilt wasn't an emotion the thunderbird had been well acquainted with until she had heard Amrita's name listed among the missing, but they were the best of friends now. If only she had stayed like Amrita had told her to, if only the other ghoul hadn't needed to defend her, if only she had heeded Amrita's warnings to be cautious...
Taima was still awake when she got the anonymous text. The buzzing of the phone startled her from the book she'd been reading without really parsing. She picked it up, hoping that it was news on the lost students, and frowned when it contained a blurry picture and a warning: DON'T. A moment after that, she got Danny's forwarded text with a date and time and a request to "call other birdys," along with confirmation that the rumors were true.
Suddenly, DON'T sounded a lot like DO. Taima flew to the office, unsurprised to see it in shambles and full of students. What did surprise her was the big, glowing rune on the floor, which got a curious glance from Taima before she made her way towards Danny. "Got your text," she told the ghoul, "what's going on?"

"Feel free to hit me upside the head whenever you want, Mei." He offered, though it was hard to tell whether he was being serious or trying to make a joke. He didn't laugh, barely even twitched his lips in a smile. He was too busy trying to think, trying to....
His head turned down, eyes narrowing at the undead ghoul standing beneath him. "I'm fine." His voice was a little more on the growley side then usual, though, so that probably gave evidence to the contrary. "And you're right. Nothing will stop me from this. I need to get him back. I need to get them all back. Look how many here are suffering." His gaze swept the room again, noting the more familiar faces that had arrived. Many looked upset, or determined, or just plain impatient to know what was coming next.
Turning his attention back to Mort, he caught the look to his hand but decided to dismiss it. He knew that what he had done was foolish. He did not know what repercussions he might face once Medea's aid was given. He was aware that he was in her debt, that after this he would likely owe her something, but she had not offered up any of those terms, and if she had, he would have probably still gone through with it.
He tried to listen to what Mort was saying about his hand. Really, under normal circumstances he would have been all over it, asking a million questions, making suggesting alterations or upgrades. But now? Right now he could barely even concentrate on the other zomboils quick little spiel, though when he had stopped with that and returned to a more sober state, Alex's attention was drawn once more. Salvageable tech? Right, maybe once Yin was found and safe he'd consider it. And then the second favor.
A flash of grief crossed his eyes before they hardened, reminding himself that he had to stay strong. His voice was hushed and cold when he spoke"And what if they are dead, Mort? Should we all just turn around and leave, or do you suppose that I," He gestured towards himself, "They" He nodded his head towards the others in the room. "We." A nod towards Mort, and down to Mei. "Might we be able to serve up a little vengeance? Could we all really just walk away without even that?" Was this really Alex talking right now?
