Akumi shifted. "No clue, unfortunately. It's probably near the school, however," he said dryly. "Yeah.. that's one of 'em... the other I didn't recognize other than Sabretoooth's," the black haired guy said, his tone almost emotionless, yet edged with amusement.

"Near a school..." Twila tried thinking of schools near by. "Ok, thank you for helping." She walked over to the edge of the building away from the group of people. "Your a heavy dog ya know...." she muttered.

Akumi shifted his weight, turning away from the girl. "No problem," he said carelessly, watching the group from the corner of his eye before turning away from them. He didn't realize that the one that had caught his interest had noticed him as well, but didn't recognize him the way Akumi himself had recognized the young man. He sat on the edge of the building, away from the group of mutants before casually leaning backwards and dropping over the side deliberately. He twisted in mid air and shifted slightly, pulling up from a straight dive before turning upward and hovering thirty or forty feet above the street, high enough to be even with the rooftop, but not high enough that the mutants on the other side could see him over it.

Twila jumped off the roof and landed in an ally and set the dog down. "Ok... I think there was a school that way..." she started walking with the dog fallowing. "Actually you live here you should know it better then me... too bad dogs don't talk."

Akumi cocked his head as she vanished. He exhaled, hovering before he landed on the street, cursing under his breath as the cuts on his feet stung. That's the problem with being barefoot... ya end up with scarred feet, he thought. He inhaled sharply as he felt a burning in his abdomen growing swiftly. He stumbled into a nearby alley, not seeing the prismatic aura swirling and glowing around him. His eyes widened in shock as the burning increased before fading. To his surprise, his lean torso was covered in fine dark golden fur. His hand rose slowly through his golden hair to find it was thicker... and his ears were feline in nature. His hand dropped sharply as his head turned to see a tail swaying slowly behind him. He looked at his hands to find them basically the same as his torso. He noticed the stinging in his feet was gone, though he didn't realize that two of the souls within him that he'd absorbed so long ago had merged, causing this physical change. He sighed, flicking a hand and noticing the short third of an inch claws on the tips of his fingers. "Damn... now what?" he muttered as he pushed off, his feet-paws pushing off the wall and swinging underneath the fire escape. He quickly darted up there, seeing everything blur around him momentarily. He blinked, realizing in this form he was much, much faster.

Twila kept her wings pressed close to her back wishing they would disappear for a while so she could walk down a street with out being paranoid. On the bright side she could see the police station after a few minutes. "Ok here's you stop. Go on go...." the dog staired at her. "Go on.... the cops will help ya... I'm not going with you...." the dog didn't move so she gave it a little push twards the station hopeing it would get the idea.

Akumi crouched slightly, pushing off the wall and dashing along the power line connecting it to the next building in a blur of dark gold and red. He blinked, cocking his head as he noticed the police station. His eyes narrowed, his new feline tail twitching. He glanced down at his feet to see his toenails were now short claws, though they barely extended beyond his toes. He did not realize that during the 'transformation' his pants had been shredded, though he wore what now amounted to shorts along with the red jacket.

Twila gave up on pushing the dog. "Can lead a horse to water... fine you win..." she muttered and walked to the station and opened the door. "After you..." the dog walked in and she quickly slamed the door makeing the officer at the desk wake up from their nap. "Ha! I win!" She smiled as the dog started barking at her threw the window. "Hey quit playing around this is a police station not a park!" The cop shouted at her and she quickly ran away from the station before she got in trouble.

Akumi closed one hand, shifting his weight before leaping down to the street. He heard a honking sound and glanced back, his eyes widening at a red convertible with a guy that had red glasses and a redheaded young woman in the car. Both looked surprised to see him as he half turned, darting away in a blur as the car screeched to a stop. He thought he heard the man mutter something, but didn't bother to listen.

Twila heard a screech and looked at the car. "Crazy drivers... where is a cop when ya need em...." she muttered then laughed. She stoped running and walked sence she didn't have anywhere to go or no need to be in a hurry.

Akumi paused, stopping several yards behind Twila. "What makes you think that the driver hit the brakes for no reason?" he said dryly, cocking his head. A slight prismatic aura swirled around his fingers and wrists, flickering up his forearms.

Twila jumped and turned around opening her wings ready to fly. She relaxed abit remembering the voice but he didn't look the same. "Well it is reality. It don't have to make sence. There could be a million reasons why someone stops but at the same time there could be no reason at all why." She shruged "It was just a guess..."

Akumi sighed. "Life in general screws the pooch sometimes, so what difference does that make?" he said dryly. "Considering I leaped down from the top of a power pole in front of them without realizing it, their reaction makes sense," he said idly, glancing back to see the car headed their way. "I don't recognize those two, but somehow, I doubt they mean us harm, unlike Sabretooth," he said cautiously, his pupils narrowing slightly from somewhat rounded to slightly slitted. A slight shift in his mind made him tense fractionally before he noticed the redheaded woman jerking slightly before shaking her head at the guy with the red glasses. Akumi noticed they weren't sunglasses, but some sort of modified mineral blended with a gemstone, possibly ruby.

"You do know there's a reason why people say look both ways before crossing the street right..." Twila said and looked at the people in the car. " If you haven't met them before how do you know they are friendly?" She asked.

Akumi glanced at Twila. "I'm empathic... among other things," he said simply. He heard a distant rumbling that grew in volume before he spotted the helmeted giant with the red body armor. He felt the nudge from the redhead again and thought rapidly. Get out of the way... I doubt your friend would want that guy slamming into his car, he thought. The car swerved within seconds, skidding into an alley half a block behind both of them. The aura around his hands and forearms intensified, humming slightly.
