Korra nodded "I'll go get some good firewood" She said, taking her spear with her she head off into the dark dense trees, "I'll find my way back don't worry" she laughed from about a few feet away.

Nadie nodded, she gazed out at the riverbed the sky just barely having the pink orange of the sun for in a few minutes it would be dark and the moon will began to rise, she sat on the riverbank, her gaze lifting toward the sky at the first stars started to twinkle in the sky.

Soon Korra came back with a bundle of firewood and lightables to last them the night, she also brought a few leaves that they could use for comfortable places to sleep.
"Back!" She called out, as she got straight to work on the fire

"Welcome back Korra", replied nadie in a daze for the moon had risen already and all light of day had gone,"Im glad you had no trouble finding the wood and running into anything dangerous for that matter", said nadie as she got off the river bank and came and sat right before there fire that korra was preparing,"I will bless this place so tonight when we sleep we will not fear anything attacking us", she explains as she sits her legs crossed and tucked under her her staff in her right hand her eyes closed, as her staff began to glow she began to recite words as the light peirced the air forming a sheild around them their camp area.

Korra watched astounded with what was happening, she relised that she really doing anything. She shrugged and cooked the food nicely, trying her best to represent her village. Maybe she was nothing compared to this other village girl known as Nadie

Nadie finished her ritual and looked over at korra a smile crossed her face but it was symphatetic, as if she read her fears,"Do not worry korra we all have many talents there are things you can do that I can not", she answers getting up with the help of her staff,"I am a great healer yes and a great peace maker,", she continues,"I can fish well but can not hunt very well", she smiles again as she finishes her conversation,"I have never done any combat with anything animal or man so if an animal will not listen to us you must be brave and defeat it for us", she answers, her smile still on her face but her gaze had harden to seriousness.

Korra forced a small smile, though she hated the idea of killing another without purpose. "Do not worry, I have never met a animal not willing to talk things out with me, i'm friends with many animals and esspecially the earth. Mama says that it's because I was born as a spirit child, whatever that means" she shrugged
as she hanged Nadie a fish on a stick fresh off the fire

"A sprit child means you can communicate with the spirits", she explains smiling,"You see above us? the northern lights? those are the spirits of the animals and the spirits of our ancestors that is why we are so able to communicate with them because we are so close to the spirits", she answered smiling as she ate a mouth ful of the fish,"We are able to communicate with animals here on earth as well as other people so well because the spirits guide us thats why I am needed in my village", she explains,"because I can connect to the spirits world".

"So we are like sisters!" Korra laughed happily. Scooting closer to the fire, feeling its warmth reach her body. The crickets had begun to sing and she could nearly see the northern lights a little ways ahead.
"Mama bear told me that we are special, since we were picked. not just because we are daughters of the chief but we truly are special" she said softly, gazing into the fire

"We were both destined to do this that is why we are specail", replied nadie smiling she gazed into the fire feeling its warmth hit her face,"The moon will be high in the sky soon, that is our que to sleep", she answered as she gazed once more at the stars, she crawled over to there bags and got out two deer blankets she tossed one over to korra,"when you are ready to sleep", she answered, as she snuggled down onto hers and placed her staff between the kanoe and her head,"Good night..", she muttered slightly as she began to slip into sleep.

Korra took the blanket and climbed a tree and layed back against it's rough surface. She sighed quietly watching starts blink at her, and the swift ones tease her into making her join them. She heard the soft call of the wolf somewhere off in the distance, and the song of the owl.
Quietly she whispered a lullaby along with the sounds surrounding her. She was so found of the beauty of nature,soon she fell asleep.

It was just peeking dawn when Nadie woke up, her gaze looking at the fire that was nearly out, she poked it back to life and got out of her comfortable bed, she went over and began to cook to more of the fish, the others had been laid out to dry including the duck meat she packed those away, she went down to the river and tried to find a stream that ran into it, she walked along the bank line about halfway from there camp was a fresh stream that ran down into the river she got water for them both, she walked back to camp and sat down infront of the fire, not even having to say anything for she knew the sound of food would wake korra.

Korra dreamt of that day again, when she was by the lake with her friends and they had begun running because they suspected a hungry bear was near. Then as she was running Korra spotted it, that beautiful creature that shimmered a bright light. Her friends had left her behind to stare at its beauty. Korra didn't understand what exactly it was, but it approached her like it already knew her and kissed her forehead.
Sniffing at the air, Korra slowly woke from her dream, she found herself in the tree once again. The scent of food traveling up her protective fortress. "Nnn... Morning Nadie" she said with a yawn, stretching high before jumping down gracefully.

"Good morning Korra", she announced, giving her some of the fish as she ate her peice,"We must be moving soon this will be our last day on the river then after we will have many weeks in the forest til finally we will be on the ice", she answered chewing casually and looking at the rising sun, though she didnt hurry her she didnt want the dawning light to get any higher before they packed to continue down the river she hoped to stop about the same time yesterday to make camp and rest and that was her intended plan til they got on the ice, where day and night didn't matter all that matter was hurrying to the spirit castle and getting the crystals there they will bring them back to there people, and be honored for many years, even after there deaths,"I wonder if the spirits will send us a guide when we reach the ice", she said outloud, looking over at korra she eyed her to see if she wondered the same thing.

Korra laughed "Of coarse they will help us, the world isn't that dangerous otherwise if you keep yourself open to it's whispers" she smiled. She beggan eating her food eagerly and made sure to eat her fill.
