Mot's eyes widened, staring at Hel incredulously. "Are you kidding me? After having to grow up with a father like that, there is no way I would not be there for my own scareling." If anything he'd end up being the opposite. He'd over do it, more than likely.

"You're so lucky, Hel. Your dad seemed like he really cares about you.."

The reaper laughed. “Good, I am glad to hear it.” It felt nice to hear that Mot would treat his future scarelings right.

“…Ya. He does.” Hel murmured, falling silent for a moment as she reflected on her father. “…As exasperated as I may act sometimes…and as purposely overbearing as he likes to be…I know I have a good father.” Hel smiled at him a bit. “…So…ah…please tell me your mother is not like that too…”

Mot chuckled. An overbearing father was at least attentive, after all. Mot barely ever saw his father, and those were the good days.

"Mother.." Mot smiled amusedly, scratching his neck. "She is very strict, never really smiles. A very no-nonsense lady." He picked up another baby picture, seeing a woman's hand holding him up in it. Undoubtedly it was his mom. "But she is always there. Mostly just to scold me. Nothing I ever did seemed good enough growing up." After all, she bred Mot to be the best he could be. Or tried to, anyway.

"She only ever once told me she was proud of me.. but that made that moment that much more special. It was when I came home, after our field trip at the Haunted House."

Well…at least his mother didn’t sound like a wack job like this father…but…upon hearing Mot’s words…Hel’s face fell back into an unamused look. With parents like that…no wonder Mot had self-esteem issues. Hearing about this made Hel’s gratitude and gratefulness for her parents rekindle. She had been focused on doing her own thing for so long without them…this was a good call back to reality in that regard. She should write them more.

“…Ah…I am sorry, Mot.” Hel murmured. Sorry you had the parents you had. “…If it means anything, I am proud of you every day for each and every milestone your overcome and step you take as you work towards becoming a better reaper and future Boogeyman.” She uttered this words seriously and in earnest.

"Thank you.. that means quite a lot to me." Mot said softly, setting down the pictures in his hands.

"You understand now why I was not keen on bringing you home?" Mot murmured with a nervous smile. His mother might have been interested, but mostly judgemental. "Lizzy met them, but it was very brief. Even before Amity I never brought friends home. Mind you I've never had close friends like I do here."

Disaster makes the heart grow fonder?

Eh…I mean…the idea that maybe you were proud enough of me to bring me to meet your parents was a high hope but ah…”

She shrugged a bit. “…Meeting your father…ya…I probably would not last long in your home.” Hel scratched her cheek, grinning a bit. “A table would have been flipped, no doubt.” The reaper hummed a bit. “…So ah…it appears that you get most of your traits from your father…? What does your mother look like?”

At least she understood. It would be a long time before Mot was confident enough to introduce anyone to his Mother.

Mot grimaced. Yes, he did look like his dad. A younger version of his dad. "Mother.. she looked like an older, female Mac." Mot said with a flat voice. "I recently learned my Mother's brother is Mac's father. We are.." He shuddered, "Cousins."

Mot shivered again, and then stood, walking to his bilboard and pulling off a photo of his parents. He returned to Hel and sat by her side, handing her the photograph.

“…Your mother looks like a gender bent Mac…?” Such an odd description, but now she was imagining Mac with a soft face, wider hips, and a great rack. That thought was derailed though, as soon as the cowboil uttered that they were cousins.

“…WHAT!?” Hel cried, the pictures falling from her hand. “You two are related?!” Not only did Hel learn where Mot’s self esteem issues came from…she also realized she had an appetite for those in the family. ********. The reaper had a very odd and disgruntled look on her face at this realization, and her gaze shifted back to Mot as he sat next to her an showed her a picture.

Hel pointed a finger at his mother.

HOLY JACK!” She shrieked. “She does look like a gender bent Mac with a ******** rocking rack too!” The ghoul stared up at Mot with wide eyes. “…When you kiss her, will you think of a gender bent Mac now?” Hel paused. “…Also, I totally want to bury my face in that—“ She pointed to the woman’s cleavage. “Mmmmmmmotorboatin’”

The words coming out of Hel's mouth had Mot's jaw dropping. "EW! Ew ew ew!!!Do not say that! I do not want to see Mac when I kiss my own mother!" He just needed to hope that thought never ever happened.

"HEL!" He shrieked. "You're talking about my mother like that? In front of me?" He looked horrified she would want to motorboat his mom. He would admit his mother had very large breasts. It explained why his gender bended form some time ago was racked. It was a family trait among the women in the Airaldi family, perhaps?

Hel just laughed at Mot’s words, and then laughed even harder as he scolded her.

Ya, I am!” She cried. “You should take that as a compliment! I mean, LOOK—“ She pointed at Mrs. O’Boyle’s rack again, and then made air groping motions with her hands. “The way her dress lifts those beasts and rounds them—it is Jackin’ fantastic. I will make sure I look just like that when I am older.” She grinned like a fiend.

“…Okay Mot…I have to ask…how did your father manage to win over your mother?”

Mot groaned, and cupped his face with his hands. This topic was making him sick. He did not want to think of his mother in such a vile manner. She was his mom, the woman who raised him. Not a sex object.

"Work ethic, apparently. I'm not entirely sure. Mother doesn't often talk about the past." He said through his hands, which were soon removed in favour of resting them on his knees. "Apparently he used to stay above ground longer than a day or so. Now he stays down in the basement for months at a time."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2012 7:36 pm

Luckily for Mot, Hel was quickly losing steam on the topic for now, and eventually she just let it go.

“…Uh huh…” Hel raised her brows. She didn’t seem impressed at all. “…So…that is okay with your mother now? That he rarely comes up now?” She couldn’t fathom a wife that didn’t want to spend time with her husband. Though her mother and her father more often than not would be doing their own activities during the day, they sat together in the morning before breakfast and together in the den after dinner…they did things together whenever they could and never went…months without seeing each other.

Unfathomable.

"I guess? I never ask.. I try not to bring up father. And now that I live here, I rarely speak to mother." This conversation he rarely had with anyone. The gaping hole between Mot and his family was now right there in the open with Hel.

"When I met your family I was so... overwhelmed. At first it scared me.. but there was so much love in that house..."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2012 7:48 pm

Hel just looked ever more perplexed. He didn’t want to bring up his father…and he rarely spoke to his mother now…his parents didn’t want to talk to him more? Did they…care? Hel just felt sad now.

“…Ya…and that is the norm for me…I can not fathom what you describe…can not even begin to comprehend such a…lack of love in a home.” The ghoul frowned, looking over at Mot before she reached out and wrapped her arms tightly around the boil, pulling him to her and tightly against her in a solid hug. She wanted to make it better…but there were just some things that one couldn’t fix.

Mot smiled some but then went silent. His friends were his family. That's what mattered. They were always there. No judgemental stare. They offered tea, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on. It was more than he could ever ask for.

The reaper soon found himself in one such hug. Mot leaned into it, resting his head against Hel's hair. He rested his hands on her back, breathing out softly. He was glad to have her there, especially after a visit from his Father.
