When Terra started swimming toward him, Ihsan just slowly moved back away from her. He wasn't stupid, after all. When someone was raging at you, then suddenly decided to smile sweetly--it generally meant they were intending to disarm you so they could do something horribly evil. He was, after all, a master at pranking people. He knew all the best tricks--though that one was more like a basic trick. At any rate, she managed to get close enough to aim a kick but he was easily able to simply move out of the way. The kick grazed his leg but in all honesty, there wasn't a lot of power behind it.

"Should I also be angry that you ruined my book when you splashed me?" he asked, tipping his head to the side slightly. "I can get angry as well. Though the last time I was angry at a mortal, it took six months to regain use of his right arm. Though I would prefer not to hurt you. If it's what you want, I'll oblige."

She was funny--trying to kick him when they were both in the water. He had no idea what she was attempting to accomplish by that.

"If that's all you're going to, I'll leave you to it." It was boring, though, if she wasn't going to say anything. Ihsan kicked his feet and started back to shore, swimming rapidly, under the water. He supposed he should go back to the inn, now, and figure a way to dry the pages of his book. Hopefully it was still salvageable. It was one of the first books he'd purchased for himself after coming here and now it was all wet.

He wasn't thrilled about it, for sure.

((I feel bad about it, but just basing this on their position and the fact their in water and, well, physics, I can't imagine her being able to kick him remotely hard. There's just no leverage, and way too much friction--and he has plenty of time to get out of the way))

Damn water! Terra thought furiously. She could barely move in the water. And this arrogant, emotionless idiot knew it. An arrogant, emotionless idiot who was apparently immortal and could kill her easily. What a great day this was turning out to be... How was she supposed to know she'd splashed his stupid book? I hope it's ruined, she thought darkly, and decided it was in her best interests to not go to the same shore as him. Because she would probably try to rip up his book, or fight him again. On land, in this mood, she would almost certainly try to fight him, but if the loser really was immortal, it probably wouldn't end well. Not for her. Setting off for the other shore, she decided her clothes could wait. With a string of curses, she stalked into the forest.

-Terra exits to Forest-

((Yeah I know. I was thinking about that, but I figured she wouldn't realize, especially in her current mindset. I totally wasn't expecting it to work, I was just at a bit of a loss. It's really weird having her angry, not really sure what to do about it so... yeah she's just gonna go now ^^ Oh, and also, if I go overboard on the cussing, just let me know. I don't cuss irl, but I figured she definitely would. But I can find some other way if you would like me to stop.))

Ihsan was amused to watch the girl 'storm off'--something quite difficult to do when one was swimming, he realized. The way mortals wore their emotions on their faces was so humorous. He had half a mind to follow her and continue pestering her. Eh..perhaps some other time.

Instead, he swam lazily back to shore, pulling himself back onto the rock and grabbing the towel he'd brought along. Drying himself off and wondering how he'd do the same for his book, he spotted Terra's clothes. They were just thrown around, inside out and crumpled on the ground.

It...really was a pity he didn't have the shape changing ability some of his Djinn cousins had. It would be highly amusing to walk around wearing her shape and causing trouble. Ah...but they were even now, more or less. Ihsan picked up his jewelry and put it back on slowly, combing his fingers through his hair before clipping it back into the usual ponytail. Before getting his things together, he went to retrieve Terra's clothes.

He pulled them right side out and carefully folded the shirt and odd little short pants. That would keep any wayward Djinn or other mischievous spirits from being able to wear them and take her form. Honestly. Mortals were so careless about these things. She was fortunate he was the one who'd found them, and not someone else. Leaving Terra's clothes in a neat stack where he'd been sitting, he got his things together. Ihsan draped the towel over one shoulder and picked up the book mournfully.

The cover had gone all puffy and soft and the pages were stuck together and sodden. He sighed. It really was ruined, wasn't it? As he started back to the apartment, he wondered if there was anyone around who could restore wet paper or something. Though that would be a kind of strange, obscure ability to have....

Terra talked as she walked. It really had been an interesting day, hadn't it? "Well I happened to have pulled them off as I was running past him. So I didn't exactly want to follow him over to his deteriorating book and just pick them up, ya know? Sorry about the gardens thing." Zen gardens. Oh. That sounds so much cooler than peace gardens. "There was a reason I was going to leave when I realized what it was, but then you started shifting and Tactful was looking at me like he thought I could do something about it, and well, here we are." Things happen, and you go with it. Such as being drowned. Except not like that at all.

When they arrived at the river, Terra walked over to where her clothes were - er - had been. They weren't there. Maybe it's the wrong place? But glancing around, she could tell it was the right area. And then she spotted them, right where he had been sitting. They were... folded in a little pile? That was so. freaking. weird. A surge of irritation flashed through her. "That creep messed with my stuff." Nobody else would have put them exactly where he had been sitting, right? It was like a neon sign saying "Look! I touched your clothes!" Terra approached the pile cautiously. What had he done to them? She lifted the corner of the cloth with her toe, thinking to find something underneath. Nothing. Hmm. Inside? She shook both articles, but nothing fell out, nothing happened. What kind of person folds somebody's cloths after attacking them? That is just... wrong. It sort of irritated her that he had bothered, actually. And that he hadn't done anything to them. If somebody gives you an opportunity like that, you do something about it, you don't just... fold their clothes for them. Suppressing the irritation this emotionless immortal somehow managed to pull out of her when he wasn't even there, Terra pulled the clothes on. She really wished she could send that telegram to Hell for him...

((Totally meant to put that exit in there before.... heh oops.))

Penelope waved a hand dismissively... well, awkwardly, but dismissively. "A-ah, no no... It wasn't your fault. How could you know?" She smirked. "It's not every day you meet... well, someone like me. Who can do what I do I mean. Well, who has to do what I do. I... I don't pretend to think that it's normal... "

She trailed off as she watched Terra approach her folded up clothing. "They... they did?" She frowned nervously. That didn't seem good, though there didn't seem to be anything necessarily wrong with her clothing. At least, she put her garments on, so there didn't seem to be anything wrong... "What did they do? I mean, they look fine to me." Whatever he... or, or she had done, it certainly seemed to have annoyed Terra.

"He... folded them," Terra answered. Couldn't he have put a dead fish in them or something? That would have made more sense. Terra sighed. Forget it. "Well, I don't need to change anymore. You ready to go?" she asked as she walked back over to Penelope, still not entirely sure where exactly they were going. The town, I think... Um. Whatever. "And seriously? You don't need to be worried that you're not normal. Not here," she added with a laugh, thinking about the last few days. Angela's stories about ghouls and mummies, some kind of weird immortal. Even the teachers were all psycho, apparently. "Nobody here is normal."

Penelope blinked in surprise, then laughed. "Well ah... maybe he was an... an OCD immortal, or something like that... unlikely I know, but it could happen."

She nodded in agreement as Terra approached her. "Oh, well, yeah, I know. In fact, I'd even go as fas as to say that, well, in comparison to a lot of people here, I'm actually not that odd... Er... I mean, in respect to what most human beings think of as... as odd..." She wasn't actually sure if Terra was human, so she thought it best to clarify just in what regards she had meant that comment. "A-anyways, I'm ready to go... whenever you are. Though ah... where exactly are we going? I don't think we actually ever agreed on a... on a particular destination."

Ha. "In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if he was," Terra replied with a smile. Maybe that explained it actually... Since she apparently "ruined his book," he had to hurt her so that his life would be in balance again or something. OCD. Overly Creepy Dou--Deity.... He was immortal right? That had to make some kind of deity. Although the other word fit better, in her opinion.

"You're right though, you're really not. I mean, other than the fact that you shift genders whenever you make eye contact with someone, you're a perfectly normal person. Well, and you seem really nervous all the time, but that's normal too, I think. Who can say?" Oh, you know what? I probably shouldn't have said that. Dang. Terra frowned. She wasn't normal either, really. Or why would she be here? True, she didn't go around biting people or drowning them, or anything, but still. If somebody ends up here, he's gotta accept the fact that he is not a normal person.

But, where to go? Terra honestly didn't care - she was certain something interesting would happen no matter where they ended up. That had been the trend so far. "Why don't we head back? Maybe we can find some other people doing something fun. And if not, I think I saw some kind of game room while I was wandering around. Oh, unless you don't want to risk changing in front of people," she added after a pause. Terra was no longer entirely sure whether or not Penelope wanted to shift back to male at this point.

Penelope blushed. "I'm... I'm not nervous, well, ALL the time, just ah... just around... just most of the time really." She paused, thinking about how stupid she had just sounded. "Ehehe... there is a difference you know... I think. Anyways, I wouldn't mind heading to the... the game room. It sounds like fun. And you know, well, by this point, I've sort of stopped worrying about who I change in front of... Well, I've started trying to stop I mean. A-and besides, I've actually ended up changing in front of a ton of people by now anyways, so it probably won't matter." She grinned sheepishly. "So... so don't worry about me. we should totally go to the game room, I-if you want. And I mean, you don't actually have to hang out with me, if you don't want, but if you do, then... well, yeah, the game room sounds fun. Besides, I'll have to switch back eventually. To go to sleep and such."

She shoved her hands into her pockets and swiveled on her heel. "So... so yeah. I think the... complex? Is that what you'd call where we're staying? Er... I think that place is definitely this way. So... shall we?"

Terra grinned while Penelope nervously tried to deny her nervousness. Although she barely even knew her, so she couldn't say anything for sure. She couldn't even say her gender for sure, for that matter, but that's different. "Sure, let's go," Terra replied, and followed Penelope. Although she had no idea what the place they were staying was called, complex sounded better than anything she could come up with. But why would Penelope think she didn't want to hang out with her? If she didn't want to be with her, she would leave. Simple as that. Hmm, whatever. Terra pushed back the still-wet hair that had fallen in her face, and walked back to the... complex... with Penelope.

Peter had been tagging along behind Colleen the whole time, watching with great interest when she stripped. She wasn't wearing a whole lot (it didn't surprise him--she seemed pretty desperate for a man) so he found himself enjoying the view. Women of this century were certainly bold. It was a far cry from the days you could kidnap a girl and hold her hostage for a plate of food while she just screamed and cried and tried to escape the tree without breaking her ankle.

Alas.

At any rate, now that he was actually at the river, he thought it might be nice to take a little swim himself. He hadn't had a bath in a while. Of course, dirt kind of had problems sticking to him but sweat didn't because it was his own sweat. He'd always wondered why his sweat or tears didn't destroy his own skin but one day he'd decided that his regenerating abilities and destroying abilities canceled each other out. And thus, he never thought about it again.

He didn't really cry much, anyway.

So after a moment of watching Colleen, Peter unabashedly stripped to his skivvies and waded into the water. He had managed to put on a few pounds since arriving at Rosentale--he was eating at least one meal a day instead of eating once or twice a week. It was great! But his ribs were still visible and his collarbone stuck out almost painfully. As he lowered himself into the water and swam out a little ways, he could feel the skin on his back pulling taught across where the silver and mercury ink formed the magic seals on his back.

He needed a good massage. It was a pity he'd make the hands of any masseuse fall off before they really even got started.

She swam towards the rocks and take a good dip in there.. This feels nice.. All Colleen see and hear is from nature.. Chirping of the birds, a slight breeze of air, rustling of the waters from the river and a swimming black haired man....

".........!!!"

A black haired man?!!.. Colleen saw the jerk swimming and couldn't tell if he's going his way to her or... Crap! Why was he here???!!!!!.. Colleen starts to scream and immediately hide herself behind the rocks.. That creepo!..

"What the hell are you doing out here?!! Are you following me?!" The jerk is here! A moment ago, she wanted to kick him!.. But now, she would like to hide and run from him.. But darn it! her dress were far beyond her reach!..

Beside swimming why was he here!?!
