"Almost all purple. Typical Xun." Well, typical Illisia to be more technical about it, but close enough. Whisteria was still terribly amused by that fact, she giggled, hand coming up to politely hide it. Not that the action made much of a difference. "Well, if you could've sat still for more than ten minutes at a time, I might have been able to teach you something." That statement applied to more than one subject really.

It was a shame Aska had not come to visit her shop often; she had a fair sized garden behind it, which was really nice if you could forget that all the plants had medicinal purposes.

He wondered, very briefly, if Althai might know these plants; not by name, perhaps, but by medicinal value. But as usual these days, the god was sulkily silent; he did not appreciate being told no. Aska had said it loudly and repetitively over the past few weeks. Even a chance to show off would not be enough to lure a reluctant god into words, he'd learned that from experience.

"How do the two of you know each other," he asked, suddenly. "I'm not sure I ever heard that story, and I admit I'm curious."

"I married her brother." A pause, and a blink. "...I mean, Illisia married her brother." Yikes. This was not a good 'think as two people and not one' day. Whisteria would be familiar with the concept by now. There were days where the lines in between Illisia and Xun Jiang were completely blurred. There were days where, if one kept attention, he might act more like one than the other. With time, he had started noticing those facts himself - and it made him wonder if, in fact, their merging was a stable and permanent as they both hoped it was.

He did not like to think about it, not at all.

"Illisia was my host, and Elik her son." Good lord, did Aska even know about Elik ?

Whisteria was indeed used to this by now, so it wasn't anything new. And she had mentioned Elik before, but had yet to wrangle the younger druid long enough to get him to meet Aska. Her brother though, she had purposely neglected to mention since it was not a particularly pleasant memory for her- thinking she had lost Ilithor, Illisia and Elik all in a sort space of time. Perhaps she should fess up now?

"Ilithor was asleep in the Emerald Dream when everything went wrong...he died. I thought I had lost Illisia and Elik as well." She sighed softly. "That's why I was so surprised to see Elik, when he came back to Darnassus with Adrienne and its why I came back here with him. So I would not be alone." Even if Xun had not accepted her as family at least she would have had her nephew. It was considerably better now- she had Xun, Elik, baby Lily and Aska...for now at least. "Illisia and I got to be close friends, after she married my brother."

Aska frowned at the story, slanting Whisteria a somewhat concerned look. Why hadn't she mentioned that? He'd had an idea that Xun Jiang's original host body might have been female, since his current body was so confusing at a glance, but he'd not considered that it might have been a marriage connection between his lover and the Dragon King. He'd thought sisters, perhaps, at the host level.

He wasn't actually sure how to respond to that; he rubbed a hand along his jaw and then sighed. "I am not entirely sure I understand, but I'm sorry for your loss, Whist." And he wished he'd heard sooner; he felt guilt squirming in his gut, and berated himself in silence for putting Whisteria in a position where she'd lose yet another person she cared about to capricious gods.

"I'm glad you came here," he offered, after a moment, and then he asked another question: "Adrienne?"

Illithor's loss still hurt, both for Whisteria and for himself, he had to admit. In his own case, it had become a dull ache, but for Whisteria... The Dragon King knew it had hit her rather hard, harder than it had hit even Illisia.

Maybe he should ask Ankou, sometime, if he knew the man reborn or not. He had no idea if it might make Whisteria feel better or not.

He could understand what it was now, to lose a brother. Ti Lung understood it in the ice cold grip that overtook him when he thought of the missing Kings. Were they well, were they simply kept away for one reason or another, or were they...

Adrienne was a much safer subject. "Adrienne is Elik's girlfriend. Quite a lovely young lady." He smiled. He had quite the fondness for Love's daughter, just as Illisia had. "Careful is you meet her, through. She might charm you before you can notice." He teased.

Whisteria shook her head at Xun's unasked question. It still hurt, yes but at least... "I'm not alone like I thought I was, so I'll be alright." She glanced over at Aska and smiled. "I'm very glad I did too."

"I haven't seen her since the party." And even then it had not been long at all, having sort of run off with Aska so quickly. "She seems like a nice match for Elik though." The little wolf seemed to be cheerful and sweet, if a bit easily excitable. (The night elf would never forget Adi's face when she laid eyes on Typala's kittens.) Elik seemed to like her a great deal- at least that is what she had gathered from his reaction to her teasing after they showed up on her doorstep.
