fairylover21 Tramadoll fairylover21 I carry a buck fixed blade pocket knife mostly. really? Cool. What sort of place do you live? I mean urban, rural, etc. I live in the NC. I'm a country girl. Nice. How do you carry it? and what sort of sheath do you use? My fixed blades were designed or modified to carry inside the pants so only the handle is exposed. Most of my fixed blade use composite materials such as fiberglass reinforced nylon but some are leather. I generally only carry them if I'm out in the woods. Any other time I carry folders.

Tramadoll Child of Strange Sage i carry a knife with a knuckle brace. is that illegal or somethin? quote me back like a "trench knife". Yah I think to own one that may alright. I think in most states carrying it around might be a bit legally iffy though.I know here in Canada that would not fly. awww that sucks.

Central Scrutinizer Case Sodbuster Jr or a Kershaw Needs work. That is a very unique looking knife. Looks like it's got a good blade shape for certain edc tasks. Though I usually like to have some curve and/or belly.

I gave away my last knife to my now ex-girlfriend. I'm glad that she has it, because she goes to school in the city, and I was slightly worried about her safety. It was a fixed blade fighting knife of indiscriminate Pakistani origins, and it could be used as either a throwing weapons, or hand to hand. It never saw a lot of use in a utilitarian role. But yeah, now I rely on my engineer's mate as a tool, still thinking that I might pick up a folding knife for cutting tasks.

Due to my ethnicity, pepper spray. If I carry a knife, the police would think I'm up to no good if they stop and search me, which they would. Then I'd be bringing a knife to a gunfight I didn't start.
Protect and serve, my a**.

In any case, if you only want it for "self defense", then you're probably better off without it. http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/knifelies.html

Lseruxas http://www.knifeworks.com/productimages/benchmade/BM555HG-PNK.jpg Benchmade Mini-Griptilian (555HGPNK) That's awesome. I have one pink knife. I don't carry it too often though. Not cause it's pink. It's just a bit on the small side. The SOG Flash I. Blade is 2.5" I usually like at least 3.

I prefer smaller knives because they get too heavy to be clipped on to your pocket after a certain point (talking about things in the ZT0350 size class here) though I don't think I'd bother with that Flash either, but that's mostly because I hear that SOG's QC is variable at best so you end up basically playing "QC roulette" whenever you buy one of their products.
