Meiji nodded absently at Tris's claim of getting headbands mixed up, privately wondering how that was possible. Each village's headband was extremely distinct and pretty easy to decipher, at least to her. Iwagakure's looked like boulders. Sunagakure's kind of resembled a building in the style usually found in the desert - either that or a sand dune. Kirigakure's was like a representation of waves or mist. Konoha's was a stylized leaf which did kinda resemble a bird's head depending on how you looked at it.
At the sound of a familiar voice Meiji glanced over her shoulder to see Kazuma approaching them with a rather annoyed expression on his face. "Hey, Asakura-kun," she said, giving him a small smile and silently praying he wouldn't do anything rash or stupid in front of all these genin. She then glanced back at Tris and blinked slowly at his spiel about being a tactician and not intending to win.
"Meeting people from...other villages can be pretty interesting," Meiji agreed amiably. "And...Konoha is Konoha...home is home. There's really...no way to answer a question like that, ne?"

Yuki smiled softly and looked at him. She was glad she had a friend, and stayed closer to him. "Okay... Thank you." It was nice of him to say that, of course she had moves that could knock people out, or kill them. But she wasn't to good at close combat, yet.

It was his squad after all, and he aimed to protect it to the best of his ability. "I'm not the one trying to get information on my opponents to try and gain an edge early on." He said as his eyes squinted evilly. They stared so hard that if lasers could fire out of them, they would have melted through his face. Never the less he looked at him and shook his head and allowed Meiji to talk to him, without demanding her to leave for fear of him trying something funny. "... Having had a rather boring time on the boat, the dark haired prince pulled his hoodie over his head and breathed a sigh of relief as the boat settled against the island and allowed him to step off. It looked like there was still time to get a small bit of practice in, so Ash found a spot to practice a few of his Jutsu. There was no such thing as 'seclusion' now as the island seemed to be filled with waiting Genin eager to see what this year's Chuunin Exam would include. So, for now, this would have to do. Going through the motions of a few lower chakra draining Jutsu he knew, he waited for a moment after he felt his chakra pool drop before figuring out a way he could further his ability to control the chakra needed for the Jutsu to minimize the amount he could waste on it. Selecting another Jutsu from his repertoire, Ash began to do the same as before. After that one though, he became bored and decided to take a look around. There actually seemed to be quite a few people he'd never come across before on this island. Yes. How very exciting. Pulling his hood back down around his shoulders, the jacket still open and showing his chest and midsection as it always did, he let his eyes scan over the bodies before him.

He looked over at Kreya and winked as he just simply turned and walked away like he did in their last meeting. He still didn't want to fight her or even harm her but he also didn't like being thrown around. Placing his hands in his pockets he decided that it would be best to go and visit some ninja around here. He first went up to a young girl with white hair that was from his village along with a younger boy. He looked at them and chuckled. Use your size to your advantage. As for you young lady. I presume you have a secret. With that said he headed over towards a set of buildings and relaxed on the wall.

Yuki looked at the man who walked up to them and blinked. 'Secret?... I guess you can say that.' She thought to her saw. She now looked very distant and quiet since he came. But, she talked to him since he talked to her. "Of course... Doesn't everyone?" She asked softly and was kinda quiet.

Jun Hyuuga
Head of Hyuuga Clan ~ Genin ~ 280 Chakra  Having already slept on the boat, Jun was really just taking a light map. There was a commotion going on around her, but she was not yet sure if it concerned her just yet. Perhaps it did, perhaps it didn't, either way there was something else within her immediate space. Maybe she heard something, or maybe she just felt someone watching her. Either way, this person was still hanging around close by. "Are you just gonna hang around?" she asked, opening her eyes, scanning the area before her quick before looking over her shoulder and around the trunk of the palm tree to see someone there.
Since she was awake, she may as well get on with some more training. It was strange for her to be so productive, but despite the look of these various shinobi, it would be better to be as strong as possible. So now it was time to increase the amount of chakra she had.

Sitting up straight, legs crossed and focusing on herself, Jun began to run through basic hand seals. Since she was not focusing her chakra, it was more a matter of going over the signs while keeping her mind clear and free from any distraction that would come from the other shinobi.

This would last her a little while, not only going over the hand seals but also moving her chakra throughout the network within her own body. It would be good just to have the extra reserves of chakra that slept inside of her body though. That way she could still use some techniques in a pinch if needed.

Perhaps there was a commotion going on, perhaps not. Jun could not really tell at the moment. Although at the moment she assumed it was merely lowly bandits and pirates that were trying to hassle the other genin here. They should have been easily beaten down.

As she continued to move her chakra and practice hand seals, Jun could feel a small increase in her chakra pool. It was not so little that it was barely noticeable but not so much it was an astonishing change. It would be better to keep going and see if she could have another increase.

Despite the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach, Jun continued her meditation. Her hand continued moving through the basic hand seals, going at a fairly fast pace as she continued moving and settling her chakra throughout her body.

That particular feeling appeared to have slowly gone away on it's own, helping Jun to think there was really nothing wrong. With that in mind, Jun continued her meditations, knowing that the other genin could probably handle themselves and would be just fine.

After meditation, Jun felt as if she would want to take another go at the Premium Hearts taijutsu style. She had learned the third rank of her two other styles, so this might be a good way to even things out and even gain techniques that could help her.

Yawning softly, Jun resisted the urge to squirm slightly. Her back was starting to ache just a little bit from sitting up so straight. At least soon she would be done, then she could work on her taijusu and kenjutsu. Although the real problem might be to find a place to train privately.

Slowing down the movements of her hands, Jun let her chakra settle once more within her body. Her chakra had increased just a little bit more, but for now she figured that would be it at the moment. Besides, there was much more she had to do at the moment.

He relaxed as he saw some people training while others just sat there. The girl he had talked to spoke back and he just simply nodded as he relaxed. Reaching into his pocket he pulled free a kunai as he began to spin it around in his hand. He was growing bored now.
