As they searched, Zurine didn't seem to worry too much about the dirt and grass -- in fact, the more she got her fingers down into the vegetation, the better she felt, the more certain she felt. She didn't respond when he spoke, instead focused intensely on the strangest niggling sensation in the back of her head. Her eyes flicked up to look at him, quiet and sure, and she put one finger over her pursed lips. "Shhh, just a second," Zuri said, thinking for a moment.
It was as if another eye opened in her head, and with her hands on the earth, fingers buried down to touch the soil, Zuri let out a little gasp. Her awareness spread over the patch of grass, and as if he was standing six feet tall and clear as day, she could quite suddenly tell where Ferdinand was hiding, crouched in the shadow of a bush and chewing on a half-eaten acorn. Her wings fluffed, icy feathers gleaming in the cool light -- and quite suddenly there was a flurry of activity. Within moments, Zuri came up with a fistful of squeaking mouse and a proud, pleased huntress' smirk.
"We found him," she murmured smugly.

It was amazing to watch the way Zurine suddenly shifted in her aspect, her eyes sharp and her expression one of total focus. The humor slowly faded from Cesc's face as he watched her, his eyebrows lifting. He held his breath and kept very still, part of him worried to break the spell, like any movement of his might break the ice rose's concentration.
And then she came up with him, the silly mouse, who seemed grumpy for having his playtime interrupted. It seemed a miracle -- him supplying the general direction and Zurine refining it, pinpointing it, the way that she did. Somehow, it had all worked out.
Cesc broke into a wide smile, relief plain across his face.
"Surine," he breathed. "That was amazing."
