Mihko kept her gaze firm on the antelope. She knew that her plan made sense, Gunju had to be watching both her and the antelope in order for this to work. She was, of course having no knowledge of the fact that he didn't know how to hunt well either, assuming that he would be the one doing all the work here if she simply stirred it up. The young, muscular lioness figured she would give it a shot at getting her claws into it if she got close fast enough. Bright blue gaze turned to Gunju, watching as he sidled down the hill as she had suggested.
The rust-colored lioness waited a few more moments until she thought that the male had made enough distance, and could adequately jump in front of the antelope, then she swung around to approach from behind it. She wriggled her body against the dirt for a moment, breathing heavily already. Nothing had even happened yet...
'Okay...you can do this...' She thought to herself, taking one more deep breath before she leapt into action, tearing at full speed down the hill toward the prey. She raced toward it, powerful legs pushing her far with each bound. The antelope squealed in fear as she roared savagely, alerting it to her rapid approach, and it kicked at her-though missed; as she got close enough. Mihkokwan pounced at the antelope, and gashed it's side open, but she'd been unable to hook her claws into it, and it began to make a break for it, crying at the gashes in it's hindquarters.

Gunju had forgotten to mention he didn't jump very far. Though, he figured anyone would notice that he was a bit on the heavy side and would have trouble jumping high. He didn't think it would be such a big deal anyways. She'd be the one to jump on it from behind, taking it down, and he'd try to bite it's face. This was going to go well. He'll make sure the thing couldn't breath, and she'd do all the heavy work.. She was a rogue after all, she most likely knew how to hunt.
Gunju wasn't ready, but he would never be ready, no matter how long it took. Though he thought she kinda jumped the gun alittle. She could have been closer, how was she suppose to jump on it? Gunju, frantic, jumped and swatted at the beast with his claws, though had missed all together, rolling on the ground abit. Though he had gotten back to his feet fast, and continued a bit of a chase with it, It jumping at ever swipe he had, he finally lunged at it, but the antelope was much faster and took advantage of Gunju's attempt and sped up. Gunju ended up rolling on the ground in a cloud of dust..
He coughed a few times, once the dust had settled, he couldn't see the antelope in any direction.... She was going to be mad at him... He just knew it... He messed it all up..... He didn't even look at the other lioness. "Stupid... stupid.... stupid"

Mihko didn't know what to do now. She had watched the entire proceedings of Gunju trying to grab the antelope, and he hadn't managed to catch it either. She was sad now, and felt like it was all her fault. The young lioness wasn't tired from her sprint, and she now ran over to Gunju. "I'm so sorry..." She trailed off, seating herself next to him and huffing. "I should have told you..." Again, she trailed off, embarrassed. "I've never been very good at hunting..." Mihko laid her ears back in embarrassment, flicking her tail as a determined, but disappointed look crossed her features.
This wasn't the first time she had disappointed herself on something like this, but she felt awful having messed this up on someone else. "I thought with another lion, it would work out..." The rust-colored lioness sighed and looked away from Gunju. She heard him mutter stupid, and thought he was talking about her, which made her feel even worse. "I'm sorry..." She trailed off again, having a hard time thinking of anything else to say. Her eyes watered slightly as she glanced about- the antelope was gone, she had failed.
It wasn't often that Mihko got upset, but she was positively crushed that she had embarrassed herself, and had lost a potential meal for someone who was hunting for their family and pride.

"It's my fault, I don't.... wait...." she was just like him then? He almost started laughing, almost, but instead he just sat there and stared at her. He sat there a good couple minutes before he actually digested what she had said. Soon, the laughing came. He had assumed she was a good huntress, and she had assumed he was a good hunter? At least that's what he had just put together.
"I..... I thought.... You were good.. at hunting." he kept laughing. "I... Suck... At... Hunting..." He couldn't stop. He ended up falling over from laughing so hard. His side was hurting. He wasn't laughing at her, but at both of them. They truthfully both sucked. He didn't know why he found that so funny, he felt like he was going to go insane.

The rust-colored lioness had been almost on the verge of tears when Gunju began to speak. She stared back as he stared at her, not speaking. Blue eyes lit up curiously as she waited for something to happen. She was also still disappointed. She lifted a brow, confused, and flicked her tail impatiently.
Mihko was surprised when her acquaintance began to laugh, but as he spoke it became clear to her that it really had been all a big joke. "Are you kidding?" The young lioness burst into a fit of giggles also. "I was under the same assumption!" She laughed and laughed, eyes now lit up not with curiosity but from laughter. "Of course the universe would pair together two awful hunters..." She trailed off in between giggles. Now it made sense why he had seemed upset earlier too. Little Mihko was smart enough to realize that's why other creatures made fun of him. So she had been right earlier, when she had commented about being made fun of as well. She had certainly had fun poked at her over her hunting abilities before. This thought passed almost instantly, and she tried to sway the giggles, gasping for air.
It was even funnier that neither of them could stop laughing, and when Gunju toppled from his enjoyment of the silly situation, Mihko could only laugh harder.

This meeting, he'd never be able to share with his pride. More for the fact that he was just as awful as someone else at hunting. He didn't want to be made fun of more, no. This was something he'd only have a joke with this lioness, however long it was to last, anyways. He was sure they'd both go their own separate ways and life would move on. He flicked his tail as he stopped laughing. It had begun to hurt. His silly smile was still upon his face, however. He wasn't sure what was more funny, that they both though each other was some good hunter, or that they both weren't at all.
"I'm sorry" He finally said. He felt like it needed to be said, especially from him. He felt he made the situation worse, and he shouldn't have assumed she was better than he was. He just never expected someone to be as worse at hunting than he was, maybe even worse. Though he didn't even grab a hold of the thing, so he was probably worse. It really didn't matter, he supposed. "How... How do you live without being able to hunt?" Considering she was alone. For him, if he messed up, there was always a chance that someone else wouldn't.

Mihko kept chuckling for a moment and then stopped as well. She had enjoyed that whole experience, earlier it had seemed as though Gunju wasn't the type to laugh much. Her bright blue eyes were lit up from the excitement, and she looked him over, listening as he spoke. "No need to be sorry, Gunju!" She giggled, flicking her tail a little. She had been made fun of before for not being good at hunting, so she could relate to how he must be feeling. She had also assumed that- being a hunter for his pride- he would be a good hunter too.
The rust-colored lioness carefully contemplated his following question, remembering briefly, her childhood, her adolescent time and the little of adulthood she had experienced so far. "It's been hard...make no mistake on that. But I've learned to be quite the scavenger." She said, smiling kindly. Mihko didn't really like being serious like this, but he had asked, and she would remain happy, "I never really stay in one spot too long, so I can find stuff easier being on the wander. And sometimes I catch rabbits..." She trailed off, giving a small sigh and then a little chuckle. "I'm doing alright though." The young lioness laughed a little more.
Mihko shrugged a little bit to assist her answer, looking away for a moment to gaze about. It seemed the sun was beginning to set now, and the thought of finding water and/or a place to sleep crossed her mind. Gunju would probably need to head back to his pride soon too.

He signed as he also noticed the sun. It was time for him to get back... Empty handed. There would be another time, and next time he won't be so stupid to leave without at least someone else with him. He'd get in trouble if they found to, he was sure. He paused and then looked back at her. He didn't know if he should pity her life, or say that it helped shape who she was. He didn't want to add anything more to that conversation, he felt uncomfortable prying into some strangers life.
"I should get back." He finally said. He didn't know what else to do. They had hunted... Tried anyways. He hadn't laughed in a while, and he realized he wasn't the only one who couldn't hunt well. He hated goodbyes, but sometimes you just had to go your own way, and this was the time. She had other things to do, and some day he felt she'd find a place where she didn't have to wonder around anymore. Or even hunt for herself.

The young lioness nodded as Gunju voiced the same thought she'd just been having. She knew it would come to this, but she was always sad saying goodbye to new acquaintances. It was hard when most of them were going back to a friend, or a mate, or a family...she went off on her own again. Mihko felt another small pang of guilt as she realized that his departing meant that he was returning without a kill for his pride- she had really wanted to help him out. She would have let him keep their kill, if they'd made it.
"Yeah I guess I should keep looking for water and find myself a place to rest. It's been a long and...eventful day." She said with a small giggle. "I hope it's not far from here for you to get home." Mihko said, smiling at him kindly. "It was really nice to meet you, Gunju." The rust-colored female added, flicking her tail as she smiled wider at him. She figured that the chances of ever meeting Gunju again were slim to none, as basically any other creature she had ever met, she hadn't met twice. But you never know- she thought to herself.
As a final remark, she added, "And you know...you're really nice. I wouldn't worry too much about what others say to or about you. I'm sure both of us will get this hunting thing figured out eventually, and your family and friends will always love you no matter what. I hope that you do well from here on out." She laid back her ears and smiled again, her chest fluffing up a little. All in all, this had been a pleasant experience.

He gave a shrug. He knew sorta where his pride is, he could smell it anyways. Faintly, but it was there in the wind about him. He nodded at her. "It's not too far, I can still smell it." He wanted to make sure she was sure he'd get home. Not that he was really sure. He wouldn't be sure until he actually saw the place. He was bad at tracking things down, after all.
He wasn't too sure about getting the hunting down. He was fully grown, and acted like a cub when it came to it. He was better off trying to be something else. he sighed and shook his head. "maybe you have a chance, but I don't think I will." He said with a nod, he didn't know if he could take her other advice about not listening to others call him, of course he'd do that still. It was just who he was. It would be like telling him to catch a waterbuck or something..
"I suppose maybe one day we'll meet again." He said with a bow and started off in his own direction. Goodbye suck, and he didn't want to make it any awkward than this whole meeting had already been. It was time to go home, and sulk about. Maybe try to avoid a certain lioness for the rest of the night.
