Kuatsumo Sinbad, a.k.a. "Havel the Rock"
Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant

User Image
As Sinbad had noticed how this little congregation had started to become, from seeing his old friend Buckethead, the nickname that Sinbad had given Tarkus that had has gotten much notoriety back at the Iwatodai base, to Captain Deadpan, the inspiring captain back from Iwatodai known for his dead iron shooting as well as his bland and boring form of speech. It lacked the emotion that normal people would have, but that was all just in his own opinion. "So, Bucket, how has it been going? Kinda sad that we won't be able to fight together as a team division-wise, but if you need me, I got ya!" Sinbad with a jolly grin as he patted the giant goliath on the back, though relatively they were about the same size, Sinbad being being 2-3 inches shorter. As another soldier from another section that he was not aware of, nor did he remember her from back at Iwatodai, he backed off a bit from Buckethead and approached her with a smile. "I may not be the person you are looking for, but I may help you if you need it."

Ruri Konpeki

There were those who were very good at showing off and working with others... and those who, well, weren't. Even Ruri's combat style was usually less group-oriented than others; the most of what she usually did was targeting the enemy from far away, drastically weakening them through the infliction of all sorts of troubles, and letting others pound on the weakened target when they were too messed up to respond effectively. Of course, while Steins Gunner was very outgoing, Ruri herself wasn't... and she was quietly following along at the back of the group like someone much less important than she actually was.

User ImageAmbriel

Far above the base, a figure who cast no shadow on the ground below looked down, unbound by little things like gravity and physics. In the strict sense, it might not even be correct to consider her to be real, though she was undeniably existing in a time and place of her own. It was simply the case that she'd been sent to observe this area for a little while, serving as the eyes of Law to seek out enemies... and opportunities. Ambriel rolled in the sky for a moment, then dropped down and passed straight through the structure of the building; she was neither visible nor tangible, so such matters were really quite easy, and she spent a moment looking with interest at the group of warriors passing through the halls. People that were... surprisingly dedicated to the rule of Law, actually, and a powerful force in their own right that many often underestimated. Any addition to the forces of Law was a good one, though, and like many of the angels she worked with the most, she was quite happy to settle for taking things a step at a time.

As one of the members of the group moved forward, Ambriel casually stuck out a leg, becoming solid (if not visible) for just an instant in order to interact with the world. The angel was gone as quickly as she'd come, and Ruri was falling forward, going to hit the ground rather painfully. Unless someone were there to catch her, of course... like, say, anyone else from the group.

Her instructions had been surprisingly clear about what to do and when to do it. From a situation like this, if someone caught her, it would encourage some "Jolly Cooperation" (Ambriel was a little uncertain as to the word choice on that, but she wasn't the type to question her orders), and if it didn't, it created a situation where the little lady might start cracking down on discipline and getting others to obey. Either situation was to the benefit of Law, and it was really quite amazing what effects a small touch here and there could have on the world. Smiling, Ambriel hovered in the hallway and bowed slightly towards Ruri and the others, then darted outside of the building and towards her next destination.

Ruri has tripped and is falling forward!

Sinbad saw that his captain, and how she was trying to shrink around the group so that way she could get out of being apart of the conversation, he quickly shrinked away from the new recruit to over to his captain so that way he could hopefully reinclude her into the conversation, but he then noticed that she had tripped over something, he coulda swore that he saw someone trip her, but he quickly dismissed it as he reached out to catch his captain, and managed to catch her, although by doing that, ended up with his hand on her breast, he smiled with a silly grin, hoping that she wouldn't instantly chew him out. "You need to be more careful, Captain Ruru. I may be your lieutenant, but unless this is your way of trying to hit on me, you need to stop doing this."

"Knight" Solaire of Astora, Embryon Captain
"Praise the sun!"

"And you as well, Tarkus...let's give them what for! Ha ha..." the warrior of sunlight laughed pleasantly, quite content with the ongoing and pleasant reunion of familiar faces. Indeed, he might have been summoned to the main office of the General to be briefed on the new mission of the so-called 'SunBros' upon his stationing in Inaba, but for a man who thrived so much on the cooperation and companionship of others, giving him strength and faith to move forward, chances to speak with a gathered lot such as this were something he could hardly divert his attention from so easily. Or maybe he was just easily distracted? Who knew? "Pardon?" his attention was seized a moment later from his conversation with Tarkus and Havel by the approach of a young woman, her voice calling out his formal title and name with some clear purpose behind it. Glancing in her direction, her profile momentarily flashed through the Captain's mind and he recalled from the files alone the girl's name and title; though this would be his first meeting with the impressively-titled 'Dragonslayer'. "Ah! And here's another soldier of my new command! Major Dragonslayer...I commend you on having earned such an impressive signature...but forgive me, I talk sometimes without end, enjoying the company of others too much. Tell me, what do you need?"

His voice was measured, refined, and as accommodating as ever as he waited for the Major from his unit to voice her needs...but no sooner had he turned his iron-plated head towards her than the sudden loss of balance from one of the assembled Captains caught his attention out of the periphery of his vision. Moving on instinct, his armored body turned with a grace uncommon for one wearing steel plating such as his own and caught Ruri mid-fall (inadvertently smashing Sinbad rather unceremoniously out of the way as both moved at the same time) seizing her out of the air before she could collapse to the ground in a rather embarrassing move before her subordinates. "Watch your step, Captain! This building is quite old..." the Captain warned casually, helping the girl back to her feet before releasing her at once, "You never know when a loose tile or such on the floor might catch your toe and send you stumbling...and it would be quite the shame if the floor took you down to accomplish what so many powerful enemies could not...Ha ha ha!"

Ruri Konpeki

"Um... thank... you?" Ruri told Solaire as she tried to figure out what he'd just said. For all his boisterousness and jolly attitude, he could be remarkably difficult to understand at times, and even after a few moments she wasn't quite sure what exactly he was going on about... though some part of her, deep down, had possessed the sudden and inexplicable urge to transform and start shooting. Nothing had happened, but maybe... some instinct was suggesting that had Solaire not intervened, something would have happened? Something which would have angered her somehow? Hard to tell... but even so, despite her personality, it was hard to not feel at least a little gratitude when somebody reached out to help her, particularly when she needed it the most. The girl was still quiet beyond those words, and her face seemed a little flushed... but it would be hard to deny that she was rather pleased, too. If nothing else, her opinion of Solaire had probably ticked up a few notches.

Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant

Sinbad, realizing with the collision of his old captain Sol, that he wasn't going to have the most pleasant of falls, braced himself and managed to jump right back up so he could be over there with his captain. "Sorry for not being there for you faster, Captain Ruru. Thank you for catching her for me, and I appreciate it." Sinbad said with a smile as he had offered a hand to Ruri, but then had noticed the blushing that was on her face. "Oh, Captain, I didn't know that Captain Sol was your type of man. Then again, he is the kind of man that everyone could get along with, so I won't blame you for that." That short flash of seeing someone flicker in appearance did bother him a little, but if just tripping someone was all they were going to do, then he had no cares for who or what they were, as long as they were not harmful. "So yeah, why don't we all get more accompanied with each other to make sure that if we are to be working together, that we are able to understand what we can do and how we can make up for our weaknesses, because not everyone here is from the old 'Sunbro' faction."

"Praise the sun!"

"Think nothing of it!" Solaire smiled beneath his helm, laughing in an utterly friendly manner along with Ruri's gratitude. He wasn't the sort who helped other people for praise, but simply for the sake of helping others...the spirit of Jolly Cooperation was strong in this one, so to speak! It was how the world became brighter, the people became more pure and righteous of heart! Helping one another was the cornerstone of the world where Solaire's own, personal sun could be found, he was certain. And perhaps that, alone, was reason enough for him to be the sort of man that he was. More than enough reason to catch a falling friend, at the least. "Ah, forgive me for our impromptu collision, Lieutenant!" the Captain turned his attention after a beat to Sinbad, whom he had bumped directly into in his haste to help out Ruri, offering a hand in reconciliation to his former subordinate, "I commend your quick reaction...I admire the spirit of Jolly Cooperation that compelled you! I'm certain that had I not caught her, you would have performed the task most admirably!"

His apology was lighthearted and sincere, obviously not having wanted to knock over his friend in the act of helping another, but even then, one could never doubt that his intentions were always quite pure. He was almost childlike in that fashion, how his actions were so straightforward...his desire to help others so genuine and without complex ulterior motive. The worst that you could say about the Captain was that perhaps his motivations for being such a selfless-acting person originated from the selfish desire to 'find his own sun'...but his wholehearted dedication to that concept and the path of cooperation made him someone to be admired (if not emulated, given his eccentricities) all the same.

Reina Udonge

"Nyeeh... what's up, doc?" Reina asked, munching on a carrot as she took note of an interesting situation happening within the base. Her large, fluffy ears twitched up and down, sensitive to sound as usual, even without taking into consideration everything else she was doing. Which was a lot, usually... humans usually weren't that good at focusing on multiple tasks at once, but at the very least, Reina was absolutely fantastic at swithing tasks so rapidly and effectively that there was little practical difference. "I was expecting you here a fe- what are you doing?"

User Image

Ruri Konpeki

Specifically, Ruri was standing about twenty feet back from Reina, having shifted into her Atma form and pointed her weapon forward as massive amounts of sweat poured down her forehead. Yet for all the aggressiveness in the gesture, there seemed to be a certain element of... fear, perhaps? She wasn't trying to strike out at an enemy so much as keep the enemy away from her body. Which may not have been such a strange response... after all, even if only half of the stories about the Embryon's secretary were half-true at best, that was more than enough for Ruri to know that there was absolutely no way that she wanted to get too close to the Secretary. Not if she still wanted to get married, anyway...

Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant

"Not much, Usagi-tan. Just saying hello to my old captain. How are you doing?" Sinbad said as he turned around to see Reina speaking to the group. Reina was one of the special cases that he had heard about, and after getting to know her personally (and personal, it was real personal) he got to really appreciate what she did and how she was able to do it. But after looking over to his captain, he had noticed that she had transformed into her Atma form Steins Gunner, and was pointing her gun at Reina for a reason he was absolutely unknown about. So to protect his own ally, Sinbad had started transformed too, turning into what everyone knew as 'Havel the Rock', and had dashed towards Ruri so that he may intercept any attack that she may assault on Reina. Once in front of Ruri, blocking Reina from her view, he had put himself into a defensive position with his two shields, the Shield of Draining and the Shield of Reprisal in hand. "What is your meaning for this, Captain? Put your gun down so that way we may be able to explain this in a civilized manner. If I must, I will do my best to subdue you so that you can explain yourself."

'Black Iron' Tarkus, Unit 5 - Major
User Image

At Sinbad's mention of that name, Tarkus shot his a stern glare, but it seemed to have gone unnoticed for the most part.

Watching the events unfold before him, Tarkus lightly shook his head, Sinbad didn't quite understand what was going on here, but considering the man's nature, his reaction wasn't unexpected. Tarkus was good at telling what A person's intentions were, and despite Ruri's choice of action, he could tell she had no intention of actually harming Reina. "Captain Sinbad. Your actions aren't necessary... Captain Ruri doesn't intend to harm her."

User Image:: Dragonslayer Ornstein, Embryon Unit 5 Major ::

"T-Thank you, sir." she replied to his compliment. Thinking about it, it sure was an impressive title, however, there weren't exactly any dragons around to slay so she wondered how she earned that title. She didn't mind, however, it sounded cool, but they were far, far away from the lands of Skyrim. From the way the man wearing the suit of armor spoke, he did seem like the jovial type, confirming her suspicions. She had to wonder for a bit though why he was wearing a suit of armor when they were off-duty. She didn't question it, though, he was a captain, and she was sure he knew what the hell he was doing. Maybe it was just a way of always being ready? Well, whatever. She was about to reply to the captain when she noticed unit one's captain trip. Almost instantly her captain turned to catch her, smashing one of the Embryons he was with out of the way. The entire scene looked like it came out of an anime or a slapstick show, but the absurdity caused a rather amused look from Eiri. It wasn't everyday something like that happened.

And just as soon as it had happened, her Captain had already turned his attention to the lieutenant, apologizing for knocking him out of the way. She honestly couldn't tell what was going on in her Captain's head, but she didn't mind. He seemed like a trust worthy man. "Huh?" she turned to the captain of the first unit who had shifted into her Atma form, hoisting her massive weapon and pointing it at the newly arrived.... girl with bunny ears? She wondered why the purple haired girl wore such an accessory, but, wait, where they moving!? Before she could question the absurdity of the whole situation, the lieutenant the captain accidentally knocked away quickly transformed into his Atma form and quickly stepped in between the two. The structure of his Atma form, as well as the fact that he held two giant shields, indicated that he was a defensive type fighter; if she could use online terms to describe him, she'd say he was a tank.

Wait, no, she had to introduce herself to the Captain before she could watch the commotion that was happening, she wanted to make a good first impression after all. Turning back to the man in a suit of armor, she entered a firm stance and saluted. "Major Eiri Schultz, the Dragonslayer Ornstein, at your service. I look forward to working with you, sir!" she said, making eye contact with her Captain. Though, she didn't know how thick the helmet was, since she couldn't even see a bit of his eyes through the two eye holes.

"Knight" Solaire of Astora, Embryon Captain
"Praise the sun!"

Despite the enjoyment of the moment, just sitting around talking with your fellow soldiers, there was always something to help call you back to reality a little bit. Unfortunately for those moments...or doses...of reality, Solaire wasn't the type who was so easily called out of his distraction. "Ah! You must be the secretary...stories of your skill have reached as far as the Iwatodai Branch!" the Captain beamed beneath his helm as the bunny-eared girl appeared and called out to them...and while if anyone else had said what Solaire had just uttered it might have been taken with a significant degree of subtext, one could be sure that the Warrior of Purgatory was a much too innocent sort for that, "Have you come to fetch us to the General's office, then? If there is a mission..." His words trailed off just then...but not at the sudden uproar caused by Ruri or the Lieutenant who stood between she and the rambunctious rabbit, but by the subordinate who had begun introducing herself to him a few moments earlier. ...Quite an odd reaction, be sure, but he was never one to be called 'normal', either. "Ah! Major Schultz, then. As long as you are a member of the Warriors of Sunlight, please take heart in knowing that I will gladly fight beside you wherever we go. It is my pleasure. Ha ha...!"

Rather than saluting the girl, his hand clapped her on the shoulder in a cordial gesture of camaraderie; they would be working together from now on, so she should know that she could trust her commanding officer. Though to him, it was more a partnership with all of his subordinates than it was like they were people beneath him...he merely chose the plan of attack at times for the lot of them. In that respect, he was a lot unlike the more formal other Captains who held such pride in their rank...it wasn't about the career to him. It was about making the land a brighter place beneath the sun.

"Well then, Miss Secretary...is it time we were off?" the Captain spoke again, turning back to Reina with a casual, really more friendly smile beneath his metal helm. Unconsciously he walked to stand between Havel and the girl, putting himself (again, without really realizing it) between the gun of Ruri and the target she seemed to fear. In fact, the whole scene had gone unnoticed by the jolly Captain. "Not that I don't like the idea of continuing our conversation further...but duty and friendship should be held in equal measure, don't you think?"

Reina Udonge

"What, only to Iwatodai? I'd better get busy, then." Her ears bounced cheerfully up and down as she finished munching on her carrot, and it wasn't long at all before the bunnygirl hopped over her desk and onto her chair, where she sat back down again. Of course, her busy behavior probably wasn't going to be focused on just doing the work of a secretary... and those who didn't already know about that would find out before too long. "Captain Konpeki, we know you don't have a good grasp of the town yet, so you and your squad should stay on base and familiarize yourselves with its layout, then start studying the briefing for the town. If you've got any questions, we've cobbled together some info about the town and stuck it in the library. Mokey's moving out, so that's going to free up a lot of time for your squad, and I'm pretty sure that the Boss wants to make good use of your sniping for missions where we're hunting down targets. Captain Solaire, your squad is on standby. We've been getting some reports of disturbances throughout the down, and we might need a striking force to go suppress them. You're better for direct interventions than Captain Konpeki is, so while you're waiting, you should also be studying up on the layout of the town. I had the staff set up some chairs outside for you." Which would position them closer to the gates and let them praise the sun while doing their work. The Embryon was full of weird people, but you could usually get along okay if you managed to keep up with their craziness.

User Image

Ruri Konpeki

Ruri didn't quite lower her weapon, even when a number of other people were getting between her and the... animal-eared... secretary.... bunny... thing. The professional instructions delivered with cheerful ease would probably put most people at ease, but nobody in their right minds could possibly dismiss the sheer number and variety of stories about the secretary. "Right... studying. My squad and I will be doing that. Without you. Anywhere near us." Panic reaction? Probably. But she'd be darned if this wasn't the least amount of self-protection necessary...

Kurou T. Hand.
Kurou had been continuing his thoughts lightly, eyes darting about the room as a myriad of figures came and went.
His eyes flickered for a bit as Ruri fell, almost sensing something shift about the room. She had fallen...and as such, had been caught as well, by the jolly captain. Kurou tapped his side at this, his expression keeping at a rather negative glance.
She's not the type to fall to him like that.. He thought, tapping more and more. His expression shifted back to a smirk as the infamous secretary of the Embryon popped up...and Ruri reacted rather violently. Seeing Sinbad jump in the way, and Tarkus spoke as well, Kurou nodded along with him. He just kind of faded to the backround for most of the things, before another figure appeared as well...
Dragonslayer.. he thought to himself, as Solaire spoke more and more...before eventually asking for directions. Kurou slid about, eye daring more and more as Reina directed at everyone else, telling them what they'd do, and where they'd do. Kurou turned about, looking around for any others, as he moved over.
"Anyone else..?" he mouthed quietly, glancing about. I should get to my room... Maybe go a few rounds at the shooting range.. Might find another crack shot..
Maybe someone else showed promise in the building too. It would be interesting......After all, he'd started out as an Ensign before too. Surely, there were others around there...
