As he was elbowed, Rep was taken by surprise enough it almost knocked the air out of his lungs. Tracey wasn't on the defensive as much as normal of late, with the bracelet in play anything not an extreme threat was disregarded. The mall swam before his eyes as he once again fought back anger and indignance. It was actually becoming exhausting to do. He only managed it by constantly forcing himself to think about the next thing, throwing himself onwards onto the next topic as if it was a lifeline. Keep talking, keep up the convivial banter and maybe he'd make it through this without wringing her neck or trying. "There's a difference between people like Leon and actual men." he said, " Honest to god warriors are way better. Besides. I didn't ******** say I didn't like suits. They are like. A uniform for rich ********. Same diff."

His mini concerto took up all his attention for a short time as music, or at least horrible attempts at music soothed the irritation he was seething with. "Well keyboards are cheating I guess." He stated distantly as he hazarded a by-ear rendition of Rio

"Probably best to go with the bass guitar thing."

Candace couldn't help but laugh outright when Rep implied Leon wasn't a real man. "Oh god don't let Clarice hear you say that pfftahaha!" Not that she disagreed. She was not a fan of Leon at all ever since that little incident when the..was it the 'Hatchlings' that woke up? She was still very amused as she continued. "Ah I see. So then are you an honest to god warrior, Braveheart?" Candace asked with a grin, tapping a couple more notes on the keyboard before she just left it alone. A uniform for rich ********. Nice. Candace chuckled, looking up at Rep with a small smirk. "Bet Jordan looks good in a suit, huh~." Harrison would look out of place in one. It wouldn't look good strictly because...it just wouldn't suit him. Jordan, however? Yes, he'd look good.

Candace watched and listened as he played again, lips pouting a bit. But he already kind of knew it. Wasn't that more an advantage? He wouldn't need to take as much time. "Why is a keyboard cheating? Jerry can play piano himself, no reason you can't play a keyboard for your 'apology instrument'." Hell, he knew more about playing than she did! She could tell a person where 'middle C' was but she couldn't tell you anything else. Maybe that the black keys were sharps and flats? That was about the limit of her knowledge. "But if you're dead set on the bass guitar, sure. We'll go pick one out."

He smirked at her reply to Leon. "I don't think there's much more embarrassing that Clarice could do to me anyway." He had noted her playful remarks to Leon on twitter but hadn't really thought much more of it. "And aye I'm the real ******** deal, I keep fit with Tracey and fighting all the time, not just the gym, right." Or he had anyway, lately it was mostly the gym whether he liked it or not.

A cryptic smile was her main response as she asked about Jordan in a suit, he did, Rep thought, practically born to wear one. He had to resist the urge to add jokingly that overall he preferred him out of one, figuring some s**t just probably wasn't appropriate to really throw into random conversation.

"It's cheating cause like, there are preloaded loops and s**t, you can program stuff too." He slid his hands off the keyboard reluctantly. "I don't really want him to think I'm a ******** cheat, I need this to just work out, so need to do it by his rules. Bass guitar's probably my least dodgy bet."

He headed over to where the selection was, eyeing them critically. He had no idea what criteria mattered when you were picking out guitars, but he did find himself drawn mostly to the good looking ones, especially ones that were almost axe shaped. "These are pretty badass."

Ohhh, Rep. That's adorable. You thought she meant because she'd do something to you. Candace laughed and shook her head. "No, because Leon is her eye candy. You should've seen her that night she stole him from you guys for our girls' night." She was grinning again, raising her arms to fold them behind her neck with a content sigh. Okay, so maybe Rep wasn't terrible. He cleaned up nicely and he was decent to talk to when he wasn't trying to be McBadass.

"Ah, I see. Well then...uh..I know nothing about instruments I'm just here to look pretty and be your sugar momma." Candace stated with a small nod as she followed Rep to the wall of guitars. They were certainly pretty...but there had to be more to picking a guitar than it being pretty. Last time she was here she'd had to ask the guy behind the counter to help her pick out the guitar she'd ended up getting for Jerry. And then used the Power of Tits to get some free stuff along with it...it'd been a good day.

Maybe she could do it again.

Were they badass? The axe-like ones were uh..interesting. Not really her style. A purple one caught her eye. "I guess the axes are okay..it'd be kinda like putting strings on a tiny Tracey and playing him, huh?" She chuckled.

"Eye candy? Pft. There's better eye candy on the island than that moody b*****d. He's got a good body, but eh." he shrugged, no longer as upset at the idea of commenting on other guys' appearances. "I guess she's immune to a*****e after working under H so long. Who is an a*****e." he reiterated "Regardless of how much you might like him."

He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about having a sugar momma and almost got irritated again by the implication she was somehow higher ranked or more important than him. But he resisted it, he was going off the edge of reasonably irritable and into downright ******** touchy.

"Aye, they look good, and it'd be nice to have at least one Tracey-ish thing to use. Since I can't have the real deal. I dunno about guitars though either." He glanced fleetingly over at the assistant, tempted to ask for help. But pride stopped him from actually doing anything about it.

"Eye candy doesn't have to have a good personality. It's eye candy, you just look at it. All that matters is it's pretty." Candace argued very matter-of-factly. Though at Rep's mention of H being an a*****e she laughed, nodding her head and grinning. "He is an a*****e. He pisses me off sometimes. I love how people don't think they can speak badly of H around me. I don't give a s**t. Sometimes he's more of a monster than the monsters we're trained to kill." It was both annoying and amusing, really. Oh no how dare anyone speak truthfully of him. What's she going to do? Hit them? Get offended? Stupid.

His reasoning for wanting an axe guitar made sense. His weapon couldn't be summoned, it was like having a security blanket to take its place until he could. Candace traced a finger over one of the blade-like edges of a guitar, chuckling softly. "Cute. Then get one. We'll pick out a couple song books for you, too...and I'll see about getting a deal on these like I got on Jerry's guitar." She hummed thoughtfully, glancing toward the store clerk before she walked away to check out one of the shelves of books. Rep would need books on how to even play the bass, too. He wouldn't have time to go off and get music lessons off island from anyone..yup she was definitely going to be working something out for this. She had money to spend, yes. She could afford it, sure...but she didn't want to take too much away from what could go toward her room renovations.

"Entirely like Cael then." he stated with a smirk at the eye candy comment. The man was the very definition of eye candy but terrifying personality in Rep's book. Her mention of H however was somewhat interesting, he figured he'd have her fooled into at the very least believing he was decent. Perhaps it just didn't matter as much to her. "But fair enough, I don't know the extent of the guy's maliciousness, I just know he gives me the chills I guess."

A nod. "Not bad man. I'd try for a deal myself but you are.. a hell of a lot better suited for it." He looked her over lazily. Yes, being female did set her at a significant advantage, it helped she was more attractive than most too, and knew how to accent it. As far as grabbing a discount, she was a veritable secret weapon.

"But it'd be nice if you could get one, aye?"

There we go, Rep. Now you're getting it. "Exactly. You should've seen him before our mission last October. He was like a shampoo commercial spokesmodel, and then that battle ******** him up pretty bad. Poor, poor Caelius and his magnificent locks~. 'Twas a shame." She sighed dramatically, even placing a hand against her cheek and pouting her lips like a sad maiden in a play. There never was a man more fair, than Caelius and his magnificent hair. A pity, truly, that it was now so unruly.

She gave a laugh as Rep mentioned H gave him chills, refraining from agreeing that the man also gave her chills..because it likely wasn't for the same reasons. "Yeah, he's a creep and a troll. But I'll speak highly of him just as readily as I'll speak otherwise~. I hated him when I first came to the island. Sometimes I remember why but...it's hard for me to hate him anymore after what he's done for me." She shrugged and fell quiet after that, distracting herself by comparing two different lesson books. He'd need these for sure, but she wasn't even going to pretend to be an expert on which book was better. A shame Rep couldn't hire someone for lessons, really.

"I'm practiced at it, too." Candace replied offhandedly, finally giving Rep her full attention after that. She cleared her throat, looking somewhat sheepish. "And with no...uh..attachments this time...I won't feel so bad doing it." A glance was cast toward the man at the register before she turned to Rep again and gestured toward the shelves. "Okay, so, guitar picked. Pick out a couple books and then I'll start workin' my magic, 'kay?"
