Ohhh they were falling. As the offensive tackle of the bruteball team? She was pretty proud of that one. As Amphi's friend ... not so much.
Danny wiggled as she was picked up by Gene's manly arm, stuck in a limbo between air and the ground before the doppleganger finally put her down.
Like a little scareling who'd been caught stealing candy, Danny said, "Oops ... uh ... sorry Amphi." The ghoul asked a rather odd question, and Danny looked around her body. What was steaming exactly? She knew this one, she did ... she just couldn't remember. She decided to lie. "Um nope. No steam. I'm okay."
Her eyes caught the front gate again. "Ooh I wanna go, I wanna go!" she said, tugging Gene's arm. "Guysssss."

"Nah, she's fine," Roch said, taking Amphi's hand and picking her up when that wasn't quite enough. "Y'alright?" he asked, steadying her easily. "She packs a bit of a punch," he admitted, running a hand over the back of her head with a thin layer of FEAR over it, just to make sure she didn't have any bruises.
"Yeah, let's go," he added, grinning at Danny as he started for the park, digging Vegas's credit card out of his pocket so he could pay.

"Ummm, never mind the steam comment sweetie. I'm a doppelganger, by the way. I copy appearances of people." Hopefully that was explanation enough for the mermaid who seemed to be....a water version of Danny. Dear Jack.
Tugging. Like a child. Gene smiled and rolled her eyes, before turning to the gate, and the demon. "Okay, okay, we can go. Just don't run off without me." Danny, you're an amazing motherhood trainer.
Walking forward to the ticket booths, Gene flashed a smile and some seeds. "Two all day passes, please." The transaction happened, and the kids were in the park.
Cue Danny running to the big coaster in 3...2....

Roch used his bastardcard--he was going to milk the old geezer for all he could get, not that he said that as he bought two tickets for him and Amphi and tugged her in. "Jackdamn this is gonna be fun!" he said cheerfully as he started after Danny. "Y'wanna right with me, Amphi?" he asked with a bright grin.

Amphi didn't even get a chance to hand Silver seeds over to poor Roch when he had paid for their tickets and they were taking off for the coaster.
And it was a big coaster. She stared up at in awe...AWE.
Like a child looking at a fat giant man, It was overwhelming.
"Um..." She squeezed his hand, and in a weak but attempt to be brave voice managed to say. "Okay...." And then proceeded to stare at the coaster more.
She could do this, yes. She got here on a bike after all, and it had been fun. SHE COULD MANAGE THE ROLLER COASTER. Turning to look at Gene, she offered a shy smile and added, "I see. I didn't know landwalkers could do that, sometimes we have fish that will blend with their surroundings, or mimic a swimming pattern so that they can escape prey but I haven't seen a landwalker like that."
"By the way, Have you been on a coaster?" She looked at Roch who looked just as excited as Danny. "Is it scary?"

Gene would probably end up the fresh egg. Oh well.
"There's not too many Doppelgangers, I suppose. I don't really know why...but it's a fun thing to be. Copying people to freak them out is pretty fun." She gave a quick glance to Roch, before heading off in Danny's direction at a brisk walk. Because running in boots would scuff them.

Danny was only reaching a hand out to ... pat that person on the back. She wasn't about to shove her way. No, why would she do that? Danny was a good ghoul, she was.
"I wasn't!" Danny complained, "Look we're next okay!!" The big black and orange coaster came down, a screaming human's face on the front of it, terrified out of their mind, with a knife sticking out of its head. Danny thought it was kind of a childish image, but whatever. She was a kid.
The attendant finally let them on and Danny swung into the front row- the best row duh. "YAAAAAY." Danny loved dem roller coasters.

Roch didn't say a word to what Gene had to say, he just tried to keep from tugging Amphi along like a little kid. "You ah..." he said abruptly, turning to the mermaid, "haven't been on one? That is seriously sad. Tragic, even. We gotta fix it and now!" He started for the line, heading to the back and glancing at the guys around them, his expression getting a bit dangerous for a moment.
Sure she wasn't his ghoulfriend, but she WAS his not-date for the day! They could jackin' well keep their eyes to themselves!

Amphi didn't notice any other boils looking at her. In fact, if she had, she wouldn't even acknowledged them. One: She had Roch. He was fine as a boil as is, and smelled really nice. Two: Roller coaster. Just....no Roller coaster.
"Okay...Okay..." She followed along, Focus on something else. "So do you just copy other creatures body parts? Could you even copy me?" The mermaid asked, looking at the doppelganger.
"Oh were on now...she said as she sat next to Roch, right behind danny who looked like she was having the best time of her life.
"Okay...Okay Roch....Please don't let go of my hand?" She tugged on his, "Unless You have to but....It's a little scary..." Oh jack why is she on here.

Danny looked over at Amphi.
"Gene d'you wanna hold my hand?"
It seemed like the nice thing to say??? Danny just copied Amphi like a helpless puppy.

"I could copy you...later." And then Gene was next to Danny, shaking her head. "I am not holding your hand, Danny. That's a romantic thing, and we're not a couple." The doppelganger made sure to respond loud enough for the other two to hear, right before the bars clamped down.
The coaster was about to begin.

"Someone takes their handholding seriously," Roch drawled. "Picture it like swimmin' in the sea, Amphi, y'go up and--" And the ride chose that time to kick up speed, plummeting down a hill. "DOOOOWWWNNNN!" he bellowed joyfully, his hand holding hers--and tugging it into the air.

"Of course, It's serious in a dire moment like this..." She didn't comment on Gene's because...she didn't have time. They speeded up the hill...she held her breath....
And then they were plummeting to their doom.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Amphi screamed at the top of her lungs, her hand flying up with Roch's, leaving the other as well.
Her eyes were wide with fear....and wonder and excitement. She laughed as they turned at high speeds, dipping down again, rolling up. and then stared at the complicated routine of turns and dips and loops.
Loops. She'd be upside down. Her hand squeezed Roch's again.

Suddenly they were going very, very fast, and going down a very big, big hill. Gene screamed and laughed, holding her hands up in the air. She enjoyed coasters, but they weren't her favorite thing ever.
Once they got to the loop, Gene was hooting in delight. Upside dooooooowwwwwn wheeeeeee!
Then they got to the corkscrews.
