She could feel the tension between her and the Xeviac girl growing with every passing moment, but instead of lashing out at her, she listened to what the girl had to say and chuckled when she offered the information as payment for what Delila and her boys did. Delila shook her head at this. "No need for repayment..." she said at first. "The reason why I am curious is because of the large amount of blood in the air. It was so much that it was carried by the breeze in the direction of my place up the river about five miles from here..." she said. Delila knew it was a bad idea to give out such a explanation especially dealing with where she lived, but for some reason she felt okay with doing so, with this girl.

Delila frowned at what the girl had said. "I could only guess what that worm is trying to do. What did he say exactly about Xeviacs? and if he's saying anything about the Xeviacs then he's probably after the other three families as well." she added.

"His father," Aimee said simply. "And a younger vampire was there who looked unstable when I was being chased but I didn't stick around taking names. Apparently the Noahs are out to rule or some crap. The Xeviac is the first to fall according to them and the easiest. A bit of a surprise to me, I would have thought the Angellis less of a threat: they don't have powers. Of course, Victor Noah did have a point about them having more support of the general humans. I suppose you would find it of personal interest about the Russio's. He said they would be under Noah control..."

Aimee paused, "Would you rather a direct quote of everything I heard? I can provide that. If I was better artist I would offer a perfect sketch of the every Russian Victor's father drained and killed tonight. It isn't one of my powers exactly but I do have a flawless memory. That was why I followed Victor Noah in the first place." She ended with a wry smile, "Just as a heads up, some people remember license plates and registrations in their free time."

If Delila was going to trust her some, Aimee was going to trust Delila some, Aimee decided. After all, Delila did help her out tremendously (even if Aimee was refusing to call it "saving" her).

She listened, and her frown deepened. "So they are going after the other families..." she said more to herself than the girl. shaking her head she smiled. "No thanks, I think this is plenty." she said with a small smile. She crossed her arms and looked away at nothing, thinking for a while. She would have to tell the elders about this, that is if they already didn't know. Snapping out of it she smiled again to the girl. "Thank you for the information..." Delila said and gave her a nod. Things were going to become interesting pretty soon. She looked to the boat again and then back at the girl. "I'm going to assume they are done with the boat... cleaned it up most likely and will take the boat somewhere else later on." she said. "We're going now... please be safe." she said and nodded to the girl before snapping her fingers. The boys behind her jumped and started walking to the car. She took after them and looked back at the girl one more time before climbing into the car. They drove off the same way they came.

User Image Lillith sighed softly as she stared blankly at the wall. The only thing that could be heard in Lillith's room was her breathing and the groaning of the wandering souls that were forever doomed to serve the necromancer. Then, she decided she would go torture her little...pet, as she liked to call him. He was a traitor to the Xevaic family...How naive of him to think he'd get away....She walked out of her room and to the basement, standing in front of a tiny cell. In the back, a man was curled into a ball with a blanket wrapped around him. He trembled violently and when he heard the heels of Lillith's boots clacking against the stone floor, he began to whimper.

She looked at the pathetic excuse for a man and a smile touched her lips. It was strange, she thought, how easily a man as strong as this one could be reduced to a crying, shaking, whimpering mess within a day. "Hm, you truly are pathetic." She said, her voice a sickeningly seductive purr. Just as she was about to unleash another round of torture on the poor man, a spirit floated over to her. It whispered something in her ear and her eyes widened. "McVel? Aimee McVel, correct?" The semi-transparent form nodded. Lillith sighed softly and then looked at the spirit. "Get me my phone, I need to have a talk with Aimee." The necromancer ordered.

The spirit darted off. Moments later, it returned with Aimee's number and a cellphone. "Thank you," she said, nodding to the form. Then, the spirit disappeared. Lillith quickly dialed the number and walked back up to her room, closing and locking the door behind her. She then heard the phone ringing and waited patiently for McVel to pick up.

[[OOC: If you want to know how she knows this, she's a necromancer and has spirits all around the city that serve her. It's easy to get info when you have hundreds of extra eyes...]]

Aimee sighed leaning against a wall watching Delila and her men drive off. She closed her eyes listening to the water and the sounds of the docks. It was actually a quiet night, or at least it was until she felt a vibrate in her pocket. She glanced down and pulled out the phone paling when she saw the caller ID: Lillith was all it said but it was enough to strike a sense of dread in her heart. She should have known that her little misadventure would get to the Boss quick enough. Yet, she still could not help but think, When it rains it pours.

Putting on a smile, Aimee picked up, "Hello, Miss. Aimee McVel speaking: how may I help and serve you, Madam?"

User Image Lillith let out a small sigh of relief when the woman picked up. She was slightly worried. Victor Noah...She was lucky she'd made it out alive. Even though Lillith never showed it, she did worry for the Xevaic family. And who wouldn't have been worried when someone who works under you comes in range of a rival mob boss who also happens to be an ancient vampire? Then she immediately went to work on trying to figure out what had happened. "I'd like to know why you were down at the docks. Tell me exactly what happened." Lillith said, her tone cold as a cadaver. "Don't leave anything out, I have to know everything that was said and done." Lillith stated.

"I was at the docks overseeing one of our shipments when my men had it under control I started to head home," began Aimee, "that was until I saw one of the Noah cars speeding past me. Apparently, they don't think to change license plates often enough... Naturally, I was curious so I followed. I called one of my contacts in the police so they will be staying away from the docks and a few other places for a few hours, by the way, and then I followed them into a warehouse... I didn't really have time to look for back up and I figured it would be a quick in and out thing."

She shrugged and sighed, "Anyways, Victor Noah was there and he brought over his father who proceeded to drain all the Russians that had been helping with the shipment. It's an absolute bloodbath down there, by the way. As I was saying, though, Victor presents his great idea about taking down all the families essentially. He said ours could be eliminated almost immediately, that the Angellis would serve some of a pain, the Russios will be under their control soon and they already have men from the Russios under their control, and that the De Countes also serve some point of concern."

She took a deep breath, "I really didn't hear much else, Victor found out that I was there and sent some of his men after me. Some female vampire slowed them up, but I think she is a loose canon more than any sort of help for me or anyone else. I was about to jump into the Hudson to escape when some Russio woman showed up with her men and they turned away the vampires following me. I told them the bare minimum in thanks because I didn't want to owe a debt to her and they just left."

Aimee McVel cracked a smile and joked, "You know, a typical night. Why?"

User Image Lillith nodded as Aimee spoke over the phone, pacing back and forth in her room. She etched each word the woman spoke clearly into her memory. Hearing what Victor had said about the Xevaic's being the first to fall, she growled. Did he seriously think that low of her family?! They were stronger than he suspected, that was for sure. There was no way she was going to let her family fall into the hands of that blood sucking monster.

That had pretty much infuriated the necromancer. She continued her pacing, the only sound coming from her end of the conversation was her breathing and the sound of her heels clacking on the ground. "Please, McVel, now is not the time for jokes." Lillith said sternly. "Thank you, please, get home and stay safe. I can't afford to lose anyone now." Lillith said and then hung up. Victor Noah...He seriously underestimates the Xevaic family, that is for sure. "Lord Death help me," she mumbled, pulling aside the tattered curtain that covered her large window. She looked down at the city below, her eyes glazed over with a grim expression on her face. It was then she said a prayer to Lord Death, the Grim Reaper, her greatest god, for strength in this time.

Aimee sighed looking at the phone after her boss hung up. She knew that she should head home but she was so wired from the night that she couldn't just sit at home. But the question was where could she go that was considered safe and wouldn't annoy Lillith too much that Aimee was essentially disobeying direct orders. Sighing she closed her gray eyes and breathed in the air before she headed vaguely towards home. Maybe she could stop at one of the bars and get a drink to calm her nerves but getting hit on by creepy older businessmen with a Lolita complex was always a turn down.

Seeing a liquor store she stopped in and picked up a bottle of strawberry wine at random and paid, rolling her eyes being carded and the long pause and scrutiny of the cashier. Finally once out of the store she pulled out her phone and decided to make a call to the one member of the family who was fairly innocent of all the drama and darkness of the mafia: Lilla Georgene Xevaic. She was a sweet woman and as long as Aimee didn't mention her run in with Victor Noah tonight it should be okay, right? She wasn't particularly close with the woman but they would occasionally associate so the call wouldn't be a complete surprise. After all, she had occasionally imposed on Lilla when she wasn't in the mood to get a drink at one of the bars, since she disliked drinking with her direct subordinates and hated drinking alone.

Dialing the number, Aimee McVel began, "Lilla, hey this is Aimee. I have an expensive bottle of strawberry wine and it is depressing to drink by yourself so can I crash at your place for a while?"
