The sound of rocks rumbling, slight tremors in the ground – the ghoul whipped her head to where they were coming from and flung out a few ice daggers in that direction. She couldn't tell if that had been a hit though, the lack of visibility where they were was really not ideal.
Watching Shun and Hel arguing was somewhat amusing, though most of the humour was lost due to the gravity of the situation. The ghoul watched a while longer in silence, then she finally spoke.
“Shun, Hel,” she had never spoken to them before, but by now she would already know of their names. “Why don't both of you go? I'll stay with them.” Huh, bold words coming from someone they hardly knew. But then, she wouldn't have said it if she weren't confident enough.Damage: 3 Boss HP: 128

“ Bah!” Hel waved a hand dismissively at Shun. “ I do not mind being a lure, if you know what I mean, friend.” The reaper paused though, as the sound of more crunching bones caught her attention, and she was greeted by another familiar sight, even in the dim light. “ Ah, Merope! How nice of you to drop in.” She grinned a bit, and then blinked as another student fell in and addressed Shun and herself. She had seen the ghoul around quite often…the name escaped her at the moment. The reaper jabbed a thumb at Edel and looked back at Shun. “ Ya! You heard Snowflake over there! First years will sink or swim anyways! They gotta learn sometime!”

Nevertheless she nodded as Hel spoke. They had all been first years once too.

"It's nice to meet you, Leo. Officially." The patchwork chuckled quietly, albeit a little strained with the whole Skeletal Monster in the Room issue. A few others made very loud entrances; everything seemed to echo in here.
"Hel...don't put yourself in unnecessary danger!" She huffed towards the eager Valkyrie, knowing full well that she often needed to take her own advice. Her attention turned curiously towards the new voice, one she didn't quite recognize. Something about...staying with them? Did she mean the first years? But she had been standing with them all along! That was when Amrita realized she was staying a little too far from the group lamp to be easily spotted. Damn her dark colours!
"Oh, it's alright if you'd rather help Shun and Hel~" Amrita piped up to Edel, stepping closer to the group lamp - Siobhan - to make her presence a little more known. "I've got this part covered, but I suppose the more the merrier!" Thankfully, the first years weren't too unruly...yet.
"Hel...I really don't think they should have to learn like we did! Might as well give them a sporting chance..." They never had it, but maybe these ones could?

A couple more students had arrived, though Shun wasn't too familiar with either personally. He just nodded to them quietly before regarding the Valkyrie. "I would hope that we don't need someone to act as bait so early on," he said flatly, echoing Amrita's words to a degree. Hearing the ice demon speak up, he soon let out a breath. "Fair enough. You and Amrita keep an eye on them," he said before looking more towards Hel once more. Yes they would learn, and quite frankly if they ended up slowing down the group too much he may feel obliged to more or less forget about them, "You suggest we don't cover them at all then?"Push them into the deep end. Basically. If they didn't get in the way, he that was fine too he supposed. The vetala seemed to object to this, however. He then looked over towards Merope, trying to see what he would do now that he was down here as well.

Edel nodded at Amrita, recognizing her from seeing the vetala around in school. She would ponder over the ghoul's offer should the need for her to join in the fight arise, but for now she would stay behind. Hel and Shun were far more keen than she was.
So much talk about what to do with the first years though, Edel sighed as she listened on. Personally, she felt the first years should decide for themselves. After all, they did sign up for the trip.
"What do you all say?" she addressed them, Sioban, Leo, and Tyshina. She would still look out for them to a certain degree, but the choice to fight was theirs, she opined.

It was kinda nice to be actually asked for her opinion, Leo thought; it was clear that everyone was trying to look out for them, but it was still a bit irritating to be talked about as if you weren't there to answer for yourself.
"Well.." She looked thoughtful. "If putting everyone on the offensive will help take that thing down faster, I'm all for it." She wasn't quite sure how she'd defend herself if the thing turned its attention on her, but how to say that without sounding like the scareling they obviously thought she was? "But I'm not the best fighter, and I'm not sure I could hold off the enemy for very long at all. On my own, y'know." There. Surely that would get the message across?

Night hissed as he landed on his feet, Bones taking away the sting of the land. He would be safe at the top if it wasn't for some lame a** Rat reaper crawling over them....that being said, he narrowed his eyes, cat eyes adjusting to the dark and taking in the surroundings.
What a dump. Bones and all. Flicking his tail in annoyance, he hissed as he felt something speed out of the dark.
It hit hard and fast...and Night hated that. It was a good thing that he saw enough of it to miss it.
"Falling from a bridge, stuck with some lame a** monster, I just....don't even know..." The cat boil ran his hand through his hair, "Are we attacking it too?" He said to no one in particular....

It was then Night noticed a bright glowy lamp girl and long flowy hair...On his way to explore the said ghoul, he managed to slip past the other students and straight to the ghoul.
"I like your hair..." Night said bluntly, giving her a cheerful smile. "Do you mind if I play with it?" The ghost cat boil was so excited that his eyes and hands started to glow green with his bad luck aura, adding the neon green to the ghoul's pale blues. his tail swished back and forth with its ribbon trailing over the skulls.
He looked like a cat ready to pounce...(which was so true...because there he was...)

It may have looked crazy for the dragoness to jump off the edge into the darkness, but on this occasion, Poke was prepared. Her back made a few odd popping sounds, as two large membranes grew outward and slowing her decent.
It seemed like a great idea, except once she had entered the darkness, a large weight barreled into her. She smacked the edge of the cave, sliding down into a pile of bones so conveniently placed there.
"Oooww...Jacking hell..." She looked around, trying to see whatever hit her. All she could see was the moving blue lights, and hear the mocking laugher that echoed eerily around the cave.

Getting her bearings again, Poke stood up, folding her wings behind and held her fists out in front. Like jack she was going to let whatever hit her get away with it! Working blind, she threw a punch out, satisfied to hear it connect with...something, she had no idea what she was punching. She just wanted to punch it.

The thing was back on its feet in no time. After the barrage of attacks it seemed to move more carefully, though far too large to avoid the abuse it was taking. It made gutteral growls, yips, screeches, a hundred different animal-like noises in an overlapping way that came as close as possible to giving it a voice. The noises shifted, from cries of confusion to anger. Crunch, crunch, went the bones under its feet as it clambered closer. And then, finally, it stepped into their light. The glow of a few students, especially Siobhan, revealed first a skeletal head, then two, then five, then many, many more - it was like a giant arachnid built out of skulls and skeletons and chattering teeth and long multi-jointed limbs. A cold, dead fire burned in every eye socket that stared down at them, and tied together anatomy that had no business existing. The rest of the group arrived at the scene just in time to see the creature to take some hostages. Four twisted limbs unfurled out and picked up Leo, Sura, Amrita, and Hel, with no intention of returning them.  Skeleton Chimaera
HP: 126EVERYONE Leo, Sura, Amrita, and Hel have been grabbed by the chimaera and it's squeezing the life out of them! For every round it hangs on to them they will lose 1/4 of their health, starting right now. They are also unable to attack this round. If you were caught by the chimaera, -1/4 TOTAL HPTo free someone from the chimaera you will need to target that hand and attack it. Every time a hand takes 10 damage it will drop the student it was holding - right onto the last person to attack that hand! The unfortunate attacker will automatically take 5 damage for providing a soft landing for their falling comrade. Damaging the chimaera's hands also damages the boss itself - make sure to keep a tally of both hand HP and boss total HP as you attack. To make sure everyone's targeting the hands they mean to, just refer to them as: Leo Hand Sura Hand Amrita Hand Hel Hand

Oh jack, this thing was squeezing her way too hard! It'd gone fast; one moment they'd been standing as a group and then bam, the nasty thing had grabbed her. And some others, if the noises were anything to go by.
Leo didn't scream, but she did make pained gasps. "Argh, h-help please!" She wasn't sure how long she could last in the grip of this creature - it was far too strong and already now she could feel the damage it was doing to her.

NOW was time for the indignant noises from the Colossus as she was hoisted up, her tail thrashing about trying to smash into the chimeric hand that held her as the red in all of her eyes returned (giving a rather humorous red glow through her shirt and the hand itself) as she squirmed and thrashed.

It looked like there was no time for Tess to count how many of them had made it past the bridge. And it also looked like she was going to find out the answer to her question of whatever happened to those who had fallen. Apparently it was being captured by some monstrosity (no offense to the monster students) and being hurt! Oh, no, no, no! Not that Tess was a warrior of any sort but in these times, when up against an entity that was clearly being hostile to someone, well, it just meant the manananggal had been backed into a corner.
Of course she wasn't a particularly skilled fighter (or healer at that) but Tess severed from Legs, her wings tearing out again to try to pry the closest student free. It just so happened to be Amrita.
