As she pointed out the mustard, he lunged to seize it as if it might run away from him. And then went for the meat and cheese. Despite only having a few slices of bread, what he wandered back to the counter with was pretty much the entire meat and cheese contents of the fridge, mustard precariously balanced on top.
He saw no reason why if he was going to make a sandwich it couldn't be the biggest ******** sandwich the world had ever seen.

Rin had wandered back to the plates and was soon rather startled by the mass Rep had in his arms and promptly grinned. Well, he was certainly taking this seriously at least. She patiently waited for him to set everything down before grabbing the bottle of mustard, "C'mere I want you to try some of this real quick to see if you like it," she squeezed a small portion out on one of the knives and offered it to him for sample.

At least he could dig his heels in on something.
"No." he stated with all the grace of a small child and wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"I agreed to one sandwich, I'm not playing taste tester for ******** chemicals."

"It... it's not a chemical?... I just wanted to know if any should go on your sandwich," she gave him an irritable stare before gesturing at the two plates each with two slices of bread. He didn't think she was going to let him make her a sandwich without some guidance and direction did he?
Couldn't blame me for trying.

"No." he repeated. "I don't like it. And I don't want you to make a sandwich." he kept up his pouting. "I know you are out to like, totally humiliate me, but seriously." The idea of being upstaged even as he tried was painful, everything he did he had someone else telling him or showing him how they could do it better.
He picked up a block of cheese and eyed it. Tracey could have sliced the s**t out of that cheese, he thought sadly.

"Uh, no. I just like. God, you're so hard to ******** understand," she wanted to mention how she made sandwiches with Sasha and Sasha hadn't been an unstable pissant about it - but she'd already told him she wasn't Sasha either, making that comparison for him was likely just as frustrating as it was for her so she just held her hands up and backed off, "By all means then."
She hauled a stool aside and took a seat to watch.

"Right."
He stomped over to the bread, taking one slice and setting it aside before taking each of the ingredients in turn and simply stacking them one on top of the other, an entire block of cheese, layers of sliced meat an inch thick. Sometimes he'd remember the mustard and dunk some on there, it glued things together like mortar.
He was no longer making a sandwich, he was making a pillar of defiant manliness.
Too soon he ran out of materials and slapped the other slice on there like a sad white hat on the head of a misshapen colossus of cheese and meat.
"TA-DAH" he stated with a flourish.

Rin stared blankly at the monstrosity that stood before her, it instilled a fear far greater than any Jenga tower in the life testing grounds ever had. No. For this towering beast expected her to not only not topple it but to also EAT IT.
"That's... some...," she hesitated. Mess, monstrosity, waste, epeen, "...sandwich."
You don't even have a mouth...
It doesn't function.
"Uh. I'm just... I hope you know no human being could eat all that... not even one that's a hunter," she offered him a feeble if not somewhat distressed smile, "so like... don't be disappointed if I can't."

Rep puffed up and looked smug, even smoothing out his frilly apron like some sort of preening bird.
"It's alright, its a manwich. I don't expect you could eat it all."

"You couldn't either. No one could," She gave him such a bewildered stare, "We could start at either end and our stomachs would burst before we met at the middle."
She had half a mind of accusing him of having done it on purpose really but it didn't honestly matter if he had. Fact was, he still made her a ******** impressive sandwich in his pink frilly apron and he tackled the job with all he had.
"William, commere," she fingered for him to approach as she stood.

He eyed the sandwich thoughtfully and felt like he could probably handle it if he tried.
His gaze flicked to her as she beckoned him over, looking momentarily uncertain, but he did as he was told. "What is it now?"

Rin moved to try and hug him tightly, if she got away with it pulling out of it just as quickly as it occurred, "I just want you to know I forgive you - but you'll need to regain trust from here on out, okay?"

As she hugged him, his instinct was to flinch and almost immediately back out of it, he was leery of contact still from most people. Even as he did it he regretted the reaction, it might have been nice to just hug it out for a change, it had been a long time since they really got along.
He wanted to say thank you for the second chance, he wanted to say he was grateful she hadn't made fun of his ridiculous levels of ignorance. But he was already in a ******** frilly apron, he didn't dare say anything too sappy.
"Awrite." he stated "I'll see what I can do from here on out then I guess."

Rin tilted her head at him frowning lopsidedly. She wasn't sure why he freaked out at the contact but she wasn't going to hold it against him.
She eyed him over thoughtfully before frowning more deeply and moving around to untie the apron, "and take that thing off, you look terrible in pink."

"Aw and here I was going to ******** keep it on. Maybe nothing else. I could wear it into battle. They'd never know what hit them, a big ******** Scottish bloke in the scud in a pink apron." At least he seemed to be in a better mood, able to drawl sarcastically about something that had stopped him dead in his tracks moments before.
"And I know I look terrible in pink, Rin the obvious. You need to be a badass like Ace to be able to wear pink all the time. I'm a red sort of guy."
