"I hope that's a D chord," Jordan commented as he bent his fingers into the necessary shapes, a little awkwardly. "The visual imagery is going to make me think it is." It was good to just do not much of anything with a friend; for a little while he could push the stresses and worries and hurts away and relax, just a little bit.

Jerry beamed, looking about on equal grounds of enthusiasm for escapement, "Now! Now start strumming the first chord..." He clapped a hand on his knee to keep rhythm, keeping it slow and easy to follow, "Strumma-strumma-strumma-switch-to-the-second-chord-now-strumma-strumma-back-to-the-first-chord-again-strumma-strumma-strumma-"

Maybe we should talk to Robert or Sasha about hooking us up? I... I still have two days leave, I could probably scrounge up the DVD!" He could definitely use some quick time off.
Jordan probably already had plans for his leave.
With Rep and Harrison.
And Sasha had already used her leave.
He supposed he could just... go alone.

Jordan's point made Jerry flush and snort, "Sasha probably hasn't seen it! She's not really familiar with any Beatles, can you believe it?" He shook his head, "I have a lot to teach her. But that certainly sounds like a plan." He smiled down at the instrument in Jordan's hands, "You... you can borrow that if you like. I know even just fooling around with instruments makes me feel better."

Jordan raised an eyebrow. "That's pretty impressive," he said. "It takes some real doing to not have heard the Beatles. You should definitely get on that. Musical history is important."
He looked down thoughtfully at the ukelele. "I think I'll leave it with you, but maybe sometime you can give me another lesson. That good with you?" It wasn't so much the instrument as the time spent, a few quiet minutes of not thinking about anything except just hanging out with a friend. That was rare enough.

"She was basically living under a rock," Jerry sighed exasperatedly, shaking his head as though he still couldn't believe it, "Don't you worry, I plan on thoroughly culturing her." He seemed disappointed Jordan rejected the offer for the ukulele, but smiled again all the same as he gently reached to take it back before plucking away at a cheerful little tune, "Any time! I've missed teaching, honestly. I've wanted to give Sasha some little lessons too, I've already started trying to get her on the guitar, ahahaha." He cleared his throat, glancing to where it leaned in the corner. "Hey um. Have you used your leave time yet? For this month, I mean."

He couldn't help but look disappointed, "I was thinking of raiding some music stores. I've got a little bit left over of my paycheck this month for once, ahahha. Do you have any special requests? Budget's still tight, but! I was thinking about looking into a keyboard. At least start shopping." It wouldn't be so bad going on his own. He'd be sure to keep out of trouble.
