"Of course, Stories of the sea from landwalkers perspective is always interesting." She leaned over as he pulled the book out, looking at the cover of a monstrous whale chasing a human with a harpoon that had once been sued to hunt himself. Quite gory. It almost reminded her of the War painting from the war islands.
"I suppose there are worst things I could enjoy. There was a rumor that Humans read books about Vampires who sparkle and fall in love with weak human women. As well as a lycanthrope...." Amphi shuddered, "I didn't realize that now humans worshipped a phantom race who are nothing more then undead decorations."
Obviously Amphi's feelings towards vampires were very...very distasteful. "is there a book you enjoy Thana?" She smiled up at him, stepping over to his bookcase to see the ones that were hidden there. Of course, with stepping over meant invading his space a little as she wiggled her way in front of him, flushing as she felt the small bump of contact. "Ah Excuse me......I don't see anything here either though." She frowned. She must not be a really good detective if she could only talk about books.

Eris responded with an amused little smirk in return, clearly considering this in a very literal sense. "Hm. I'll bet you'd make a delicious smoothie," the horsewoman replied in an airy tone, as if what she had just suggested hadn't been some sort of cannibalism. As if considering this thought further and finding it to her liking, the Protector's lips curled further, eyes glittering a little in consideration, flicking up and down Ren's form a few times slowly. Like a predator.
Luckily for the student, the chance of subject suitably distracted her from whatever thoughts she might have been having, good or bad. Sliding her gaze to where Freya stood, the horsewoman cocked her head to the other side, her voice getting that far-off tone to it again.
"I think... he was wearing pink..."
Hm. Perhaps Prom was making her Insanity especially strong tonight.

Tyshina had arrived to the prom late. Her hair was a bit of a mess and compared to everyone else she felt under dressed. Though the second she walked through the doors, she could hear the news. Someone was no longer apart of this world and it looked to her as if they needed some help finding the killer. Well at least she didn't miss everything and plus no one would even notice her late arrival. Since bigger things needed that attention....
Walking with grace she headed towards the area in question. "Hmm .... if I were a killer. What would I do..." she thought under her breath as she looked around the room. It looked so casual, and so normal for this school.
As she walked in her prom themed dress she suddenly noticed a place where she could imagine someone sitting. Sitting and maybe not able to notice the intruder. So slowly she walked towards desk, and began to examine it to any type of clue it may give her. If she could help find the answer to this mystery, she would be so happy is she was able to help someone. ((sn: chihonda))

Eisheth didn't really give a s**t about some gnome's death: they were too low life form for her to care about their existence. At least, as long as some of them remained to do the work. However, the alchemist had two reasons to enter the room: first, she felt a need for some brain training after that "spiking the punch" thing. And second, the room interior was sort of impressing: books, tons of books here, some strange mechanisms, maps, so many things to study! perhaps, if she's lucky she can even snatch something small to study it better at home. A couple of students and even horsemen were already there. Eisheth noticed a gorgeous lady with large and beautiful wings; her general appearance referred to power and violence, doubting for a moment Eisheth suggested this might be a Heir to War. Well, to be exact, the Protector of War now. The alchemist gave a polite bow to the lady, just to be sure. A familiar Death priestess was also standing near the shelves caught by some interestingly looking books. " So, you like to read books, too, don't you?", Eisheth asked. Since everyone in the room were already checking everything they might notice, the alchemist decided to pay attention to a tiny detail that surely was missed. She checked the picture frame for any possible hints and evidences.sn: santime

"I've heard about that book," He chuckled, looking away from the bookshelf as he grinned at Amphi, "A sparkling vampire and a werewolf, both whom might belong in DETH, trying to win the heart of a single human female... I've heard that vampires dislike hearing about the existence of that book, labeling it as racist."
He had to wonder if her harsh judgement of vampires had anything to do with the fact that Lou was one.
"I enjoy books... In general," He replied, taking a step back when she thought that it was necessary to step in between him and the bookshelf to take a closer look at it, "I do not have one I enjoy most."

"It would be fitting for a DETH member I suppose." She scowled, literally scowled as she thought of a human being able to woo a Vampire AND a werewolf. She didn't dislike humans but the transition in race and species was just...."They say mermaids are just as often victim to falling for humans as well. Especially the younger females..." She sighed, "Stories are stories after all. I suppose if we take stock in everything that is written then we would be calling most stories rascist." She tapped another book cover.
"You enjoy most things in general Thana." She smiled, turning to look up at him. "One day maybe I will find all of your favorite things?" She chuckled again. She took a moment to stare at the reaper, reaching out to mess again with a button before stepping away.
Augh, too much close contact! She should've really thought about that when she went in for the kill. Blushing, she wandered around him, still searching for something that was...well...off.

Shehk went over to bookshelf number four and pulled a book off of it, flipping through it idly. Was she supposed to be touching evidence? Probably not.

Shaheen was just bored, that was really the only other explanation for why she bothered to enter this room and see what was happening. Somebody had died? How....exciting? Except....wouldn't a gnome have just dissipated? This was sounding just a little too ridiculous, even to her. And really, it was just a gnome, so was it really something to get all worked up about? Still, so far this night had been just as bad as she had imagined it would be, and at least this gave her something to do, and got her somewhat away from the noise and chaos happening in the main ball room. Striding into the room, the feathers of her wings rustling against her back, her eyes almost immediately landed on Eris, the protector of war, who was over by the fireplace. Shaheen felt as though she should go and greet her, even if she did look to be busy in conversation, but at that same time, something seemed to hold her back, and she for a moment, she almost appeared to have a bit of a far off look to her gaze before she suddenly shook her head, blinking rapidly, and then hurrying the rest of her way in so as not to look too suspicious. "Eris." She said, giving the other war horsewoman a nod and the smallest of smiles as she passed by, her toes catching on the edge of the rug in front of the fireplace and turning it over, before she turned to let her amber gaze take in the rest of the room and to watch what everyone else was currently doing.

Once again, it seemed like the point was being missed. But no matter, Shehk slipped her book back onto the shelf and went to find a seat. Maybe eventually someone would actually work on the 'interrogation' part of the investigation.

demon_pachabel I feel Shehk needs some attention heart Eisheth noticed one of the Student Council members, and of those who organised the event: a dashing young lady resembling an undead a bit... but still not an undead. There were so many species in Halloween, the alchemist was almost tired of this variety. And yeah, they also have those gnomes. " Good evening. Could you, please, explain what is going on here? Why does everyone make such a fuss aroung the death of the gnome? I mean, it's not even a minipet...", Eisheth addressed the student ghoul politely. Hm.. Looks like Mei won't understand her contempt over the low life forms like gnomes.

Shehk tilted her head to one side thoughtfully at Eisheth's inquiry.
"It's a Murder Mystery, albeit I believe most people are appealed to more by the mystery aspect than the actual murder. Perhaps they want to know who did it for the sake of just knowing~? Or maybe they want to shake the murder's hand, whoever she might be."
The pricolici smiled.
"It's really all good fun, though." she added.

That made sense. Sometimes you just need some brain training, so gnome's death isn't better or worse than any other reason. " That makes sense.", she agreed. " Do you know who killed it?", she decided to ask that simply. It would be interesting, how everyone would react to that straight question. " If that was you, I'd rather shake your hand, since that was done quite fast and quiet... those gnomes always make so much noise, I wonder how could it be killed so quietly", the alchemist smiled to the ghoul. "Quietly? He screamed so loud we heard him in the other room~" Shehk answered, smiling, "Albeit, he came off much louder to me than even that." She shrugged.
"I can't tell you if I killed him or not."

Students had really come in here? Junko frowned, walking into the room with the only sounds being the rustling of her dress as she moved. Did they really care that much about a silly little gnome?

All right. Now Eisheth started to feel curious: the new game got her, despite the fact she almost forgot about gnome's death already. She decided to ask the same question a dragon boil from the council standing in the same room. " Sorry to interrupt your thoughts, but I'm really curious. Do you know who killed it? if that's you, I'd rather shake your hand, since it was done cruelly, I already like the person who did it", smiled the alchemist. sn santime in case
