Eden nodded to Drashi, not seeming intimidated by the larger white stallion, to her thinking Drashi was her equal. But then they were an odd pair, he sought her for advice sometimes and she trusted his judgement when it came to safety. She liked that usually he trusted her judgement in protecting herself, but while she liked Drashi she gave him enough respect for his hard work. Looking at Orion and nodding. "Lets see what is already in the eating area and then get more as needed." Leading him off towards where most of the herd ate.
Heze had kept walking while Drashi stopped to speak to the others, giving thme a small nod before carrying on. Stopping when she reached Haki, her expression worried as she sees him struggling to move. Kneeling as she looks at him. "Haki, its ok... rest... you will hurt yourself more, stay still and let your wounds heal" Not sure how to settle him down, he was so badly hurt still that she was starting to worry that he would starve or die of thirst before he had chance to get better.
Sonnet looked from Carlisle to Heze and then away to where Drashi stood. He didn't know if he should move or stay or what, so he remained where he was, not happy that his Daughter was being so caring of the stallion, havign to repress the instinct to pull her away.
Carlisle watched quietly, not needing to do anything for the moment.
Haki's eyes found their focus the moment Heze spoke, he knew her voice, could tell it apart from the other even through the thick fog of his mind. Her delicate features shone through, and like the son it gave him a moment of clarity. Listening he tried to make sense of her words. Rest, Hurt yourself, Still, Heal They were all words he understood and from them he extrapolated Heze's meaning, she didn't want him to hurt himself more than he already was. He stilled instantly. He went to speak, to reassure her, to try and make that upset look upon her face fade to something else... but nothing came out of the harsh dryness of his throat. Instead he tilted his head slightly and looked up at her rather apologetically. In that moment Haki had no eyes for anything or anyone else. Water could wait. He didn't need to breath. All he needed was Heze and her strength.
Drashi finished up with Eden and Orion, linger long enough to watch the strange mated pair leave to do as he had requested. Wandering back towards the injuried stallion he stood next to Sonnet, part of him understood the guys termoil, he didn't know what to do, felt disjointed and unsure since his daughter was obviously involved somehow. He didn't envy the guy. Turning his attention to Carlisle he asked, "What needs to happen now? Is there anything else we can do to help him and you?" Efficiency, that was what Drashi prided himself on.
Chandra woke up with a start, something felt wrong. It took her a moment to realise where she was and why she was so warm. She had fallen asleep next to her father and daughter. The sound of chatter, water and hooves greeted her, and on the surface nothing seemed out of place. At least until her ears picked up crying. She frowned, who was crying? Wiggling free of her fathers embrace she went in search of the sound. It didn't take long to find the source... Crown, weeping beside the lake, his hoof crashing into the sleek surface every now and then. Her frown deepened, she wasn't sure she could recall a time that Crown wasn't anything but happy and cheerful... so what had happened? Something to Heze perhaps? Her instincts flared then, thinking the worst as she rushed to his side, "What's wrong Crown? Is Heze ok? Her friend ok?" For what else would make Crown cry?
Crown had been about to dry his eyes and move when he heard the soft patter of hooves striking the ground before hearing a familar voice... Chandra. He took a moment to wipe his eyes on his leg before facing her, not that the action did much good considering how red raw his eyes were right now. He nodded, at first not able to find his voice, at least until his mind processed what she was worried about... her daughter. He coughed to clear his throat before speaking quietly. "Heze is ok, I don't know about her friend... but he seemed alive last I knew." He fell silent again then, not wanting to say any more, not wanting to any more.
Orion smiled at Eden and nodded, not feeling the need to say anything, he was quite happy to be bossed around by her, where ever she went he would gladly follow... whatever she wanted he would glad try and provide. That was just the way they were. He turned his gaze towards the path they were on, the feeding ground wasn't far from here... usually Orion would sneak here to claim some food before returning to Eden, or if it was his turn to gather he would do it early in the hopes that there wouldn't be many around. No luck of that today he feared, not with the added 'excitment' and 'danger' factoring into everything.

Carlisle looked over at Drashi and Sonnet, sighing softly. "Its up to him now really, he will need plenty of rest, his wounds will need tending, food, water... Ideally I'd like to heal him more but I don't think he would let us." Shifting his gaze to Heze and Haki, noting the way the stallion was looking at the filly. "I think if hes going to heal fully... shes our best hope..." Sighing again.
Sonnet stiffened at Carlisles words, he didn't like that at all, his wings clamping agaisnt his body, hte wings on his head pinning tight as well. He didn't want to leave his little girl with this stranger, but he also knew that the stranger had attacked Kimi to stop her coming after Heze and the rest of them. Grinding his teeth a little and looking at Drashi, knowing he would need to talk with the stallion as well as Maion. After all technically Haki had broken the rules.
Having other duties Eden didn't often have to worry about gathering food, but she often brought thigns back anyway as she saw tasty treats in her wanderings while working on her inventions. So once they made it to the feeding area, she moved closer to Orion, her tone a little teasing, but only softly so. "So... I wonder who thinks you are cute..." Looking round to other herd members as they check on the level of supplies.
Heze met Haki's eyes her expression understanding as she moves her head to pull the water closer for him, faintly aware of Carlisle pulling something out of his bag and dropping it in the water. Looking to see what it was, finding something floating there, soaking the water up, not sure what it was, but it looked like some kind of cloth pouch.
Carlisle looked at Heze. "It will hold the water for a time, but water will seep through the cloth, you can use it to help him to drink if he cantget his nose to the water."
Haki found himself faintly aware of the water being moved, he heard the splash of it, but he couldn't bring his gaze away from Heze, as if a part of him feared that her vision was simply that of a dream and would soon fade from exsistance if he looked away. Still, even he had to admit the the idea of water was tempting.
Drashi stiffened a little at Carlisles words also, not though in honesty he had expected no less. Still, it seemed to was a completely different matter being told it outright. He cleared his throat, "We can take shifts," He said to Sonnet, "To watch them..." He added softly, "...if you trust me with her safety that is." While he was sure Sonnet did trust him, where his children were concerned it was completely different, and Heze had proven to be very different right from the beginning, prefering to watch the training than do more dainty lady-like things. Either way, Drashi would accept and understand Sonnet's wishes. "It is up to you." He said softly.
Orion blushed brightly at Eden's teasing, and for a moment he could do little more than stare at her in disbelief from behind his blindfold, clearing his throat he spoke, "Eh... I am predicting your brother was simply... exagerating." At least he hoped so, Orion generally kept himself to himself, who would have caught him long enough to produce such an impression? Of course, it was possible that their opinion had nothing to do with Orion as a person but simply from his looks... which again, didn't make sence to the dark pelted stallion. His kalona blood tainted all of him, right? No! Eden had told him that wasn't the case. Perhaps since he was seen as anything but a threat here others had come to accept him as Eden had, or maybe it was for Eden that they had?
Chandra notably relaxed, but just because the thread to Heze and her friend was immediate it didn't mean that Crown's pain wasn't... and Chandra couldn't bare seeing him in pain. She sat down, dipping her front hooves into the water as if pretending everything was ok and normal. In truth she was biding her time. Sure enough Crown soon sat beside her, it was a traick that Chandra had picked up from her father, sometimes acting in a certain way encouraged others to copy. She smiled at that particular lesson having helped her. "What is wrong Crown?" She asked, concern furrowing her brow. She would not push, it wasn't in her nature to do so... Chandra was a lover not a fighter, a friend rather than a enemy.
Crown sat beside Chandra in silence, even after her question he couldn't quite bring himself to speak, he simply played with the water before him. Eventually he decided that if anyone might understand outside of his sister it would Chandra, after all she had never been anything but kind and gentle to him; but that was her way after all. Sighing in defeat he spoke, "There... is someone I..." He hesitated, not wanting to reveal too much... not yet at least. "...like." He settled for that, not mention genders or names.... or perhaps not mentioning his real feelings either, it was too soon to use the L-word, yet in Crown's heart that was truly how he felt.

Heze smiles at Haki having listened to Carlisle and nodded, reaching in and grabbign the pouch with her teeth, the cloth balooning with water as she lifts it and offers the dripping bubble towards Haki, not wanting him to move till he was feeling stronger again. Her eyes gentle, giving a little nudge of her head, offerign the water again, it trickling from the bag in a steady small flow.
Sonnet nodded and looked at Drashi. "Agreed, but we may need to ask Carlisle to watch them for a while when Maion is awake, I have yet to report anything on what happened." Looking back to his daughter and the healer. "I'll take first duty, that will give you both chance to attend to anything else yo need to. I'm sure Carlisle needs supplies or to make more medicine, and the rest of the herd will need to see you Drashi, when Maion is not around it is you that they look to." Looking at his senior as well as someone he had started to think of as a friend.
Eden chuckled softly and nudged Orion, not havign much else to say, she thought he was right but unlike him she was more biased to his positive traits, and while she doubted he had talked to many others she could see how another might have seen him and think him lovely.
Carlisle nodded and looked at the other two stallions. "True, I'll need to get some supplies soon, but till things calm down, provided we have no other emergencies I have enough to manage a little while. But he will need more pain medicine and another poultice to be ready. I'll go and get on with that then, just summon me when you need to have your meeting." Looking down at the couple on the ground. "I'll fetch some food for him too and bring it here, its not much of a detour and they will both need to eat," Heading towards the watr after putting his bag around his neck, needign to wash off some of his tools before fetching some food and getting on with thing.
Drashi nodded at Sonnet's words and understood what he was saying, even if the thought of being needed by everyone at once made his skin crawl, Drashi prefered the quiet hunting and tracking of his job... it was part of the reason that he usually took on extra duties and lessons... anything to remain in what left of his comfort zone. "Please call me if you need me." He said, nodding softly to the group before heading in the direction Eden and Orion had gone earlier.
Orion smiled as Eden laughed, even as a twang of guilt passed through him... what if she was worried he had cheated on her? Not that Orion ever could let alone would... but suddenly he found himself needing to speak, "I haven't done anything.... only you... I don't want anyone else." His words probably didn't express what he was trying to say very well, but it was too late to take them back or change them now.
Haki found his mouth moving automatically as the water Heze offered came near, the cooling liquid ran down his throat with little effort, and as his throat started to feel better, no longer throbbing to the point of pain, he felt slightly renewed and refreshed somehow. After having his fill of the water he moved his head back a little so he could say two little words, "Thank you." He had conversations and movement behind Heze and for the first time in a while took his gaze off her... the purple stallion remained but the two white ones had gone. Where had they gone? Part of him almost had a bad feeling about everything. He tried to turn his head enough to look at the mess he was in but couldn't manage, instead he gritted his teeth as a flash of pain ran through him. "Aghhhh" It took a moment for it to disappear back to bareable, and the moment he did he looked to Heze once more. "Heze...." He started to speak, but no other words would come out to follow the most beautiful name in the world.
Chandra was actually rather surprised of Crown's confession, and her mind was already wandering who exactly it might be. Still she found herself saying, "I wonder why such a thing would bring you to tears?" She said softly, wanting to understand Crown's pain so she could help him heal. Emotional needs just as important to her as the physical. "Should you not be happy?" She asked, her words even quieter now.
Crown screwed up his face, part of him agreed with her, the other half... the half that seemed to be fighting everything was still afraid she might laugh. "It is..." he hesitated, "...complicated." He fell silent then, spotting the doctor, Carlisle not to far away cleaning himself and his tools, a small wave of blood rippled through the water, towards the centre of the lake... and as he watched it he couldn't help but find it appropriate. Bleed for the one you love, suffer for them.... Kyran had never asked such things, and Crown hadn't intentionally started down this path, but now he realised something... he was lost... he didn't know what to do, what to say... how was he supposed to treat Kyran? Was it possible for them to stay together? Or was it simply a passing fling for Kyran? So many questions and no answers in sight. He knew there was only one person who could answer them... Kyran.
He gulped, falling silent until something occured to him... perhaps, if he was careful, he could get some useful advice. "Please," He started, "Don't tell anyone." He was blushing, he could feel the heat radiating from his cheeks. "But... could I ask you something?" Knowing that Chandra wouldn't refuse him he continued, "Is it ok... if the one I like isn't.... what others would expect?"

Sonnet moved a small distance away, but still within range of the pair, settling he watched them but tried not to wtch too closely, he wasn't there as a threat after all, jsut as a guard in case something happened. Not that Heze would probably see their caution that way.
Heze put the pouch back in the bucket and smiled, nodding to Haki. "Its me, just rest, you have a lot of healing to do, I'll look after you, its ok." Reaching for the pouch again to offer him more water, not wanting him to be thirsty, sure Carlisle would come along soon enough with food for Haki, though he semed so weak, what could the stallion eat? Then again she had to trust the healer, he knew what he was doing.
Eden looked at Orion, looking surprised at his words, thne blushing as realisation hit her. "Oh... no no Orion, I didn't mean... I... I never thought that you had cheated on me. I trust you implisitly, your my mate, I know you would never do such a thing. That doesn't mean someone hasn't seen you and made comment about you, your so handsome that it can't be just me that thinks so, its illogical." Nuzzling him and giving him a chaste kiss to the lips bafor starting away to gather some food, thinking that she had something that could help them carry enough for everyone in one run.
Carlisle washed his things quietly, paying no attention to Crown or Chandra near by, it looking liek they were havign an important talk. so he finished and packed his things up. Heading away to get a bowl and put some food in it for Haki, pondering if he should mash it up... Then again as long as he took in water food could wait a few days if it came to that.
Chandra was rathe oblivious about Carlisle standing near by, in truth she was focused soley on Crown and didn't believe they would be in any danger here, she trust her mate and her family that much. Listening to Crown she had to wonder what made it so complicated? What exactly was it that they wouldn't expect? "A kalona?" Was the only thing she could come up with, something that the herd hadn't actually pushed away... there was kalona blood in Haya and her grandparents old herd after all.... and Felina had had been part Kalona and she had helped them out. So yeah, perhaps that was too simple a conclusion to draw after all.
Crown shook his head, not ready or willing to tell even Chandra his little secret... not yet at least, one day he probably would, one day he probably would want to, to show off the one he loved and cherished just like any other mated pair.... but not yet. Too soon, too fresh. "It's not that." He said sofly, even as he refused to reveal the truth, "I...." He fell silent.
Chandra listened again, and after a moment smiled and kissed Crown's cheek before her gaze drifted over the rippling surface of the water, "You can love whoever you want Crown, trust your heart... it will guide you and teach you, you just have to listen to it." That was something Chandra really did believe in, something she had learnt... despite everything that had fallen between her and Sonnet, she had always followed her heart... it had lead her away from Alistair and into Sonnet's feathered embrace after all. A choice she didn't regret, despite everything that had happened. "Be true to yourself." She added, the words just as much for herself as for Crown.
Orion blushed bright at Eden's words, "Sorry." He said, not liking that he had made her stutter, after all, it wasn't something that Eden was known for.... even around him. Still, he felt a little touch of pride at being called handsome by his mate, if it was ok with her then Orion didn't care what others thought about him... be it good or bad. As she started away to find food he followed, not wanting to leave her alone yet.
Haki groaned a little a he tried to relax his body, everything had started throbbing, as if each and every cell in his body had suddenly produced a heartbeat and was going a hundred miles and hour in his chest. Ba-dum... Ba-dum "Rest... with.... me....?" He managed to croak, meaning those words more as a question than a demand or a statement, but it was obvious given how hard he was finding it to speak and remember her language. Sometimes he really hated that they were not born of the same tongue.

Heze nodded and let the water pouch splosh back into the bucket, settling near Haki with a smile. "Ok, I'll be right here with you." Not even hesitating to agree if it lead to him gettign better.
Sonnet sat quietly, still watching, also keeping an eye on the not too distant trees and any trouble that might leap out of them.
Eden gave Orion one of her special for him alone smiles and heads off, picking things up to carry food with before they slip away to where they could gather in peace.
Carlisle gathered soem food in the bowl and left it next to Heze and Haki, not stopping to talk, just leaving it and going back to prepare more things for his patient, he knew Heze would do what she could.
Haki found his eyes difting shut after Heze's responce, and soon he was in a light sleep. It wasn't until his ears picked up movement that he looked up again... the white stallion was back... and leaving... he sniffed, but couldn't tell what was there given the smell of blood that seemed to litter the area. Closing his eyes for a moment he had intend to simply blink... but they did not reopen.
Crown listened to Chandra and found himself nodding, he strangely felt a little better by it all... maybe there was hope, after all his heart was leading him that way. "Thanks." He said softly, nodding his head in appreciation before getting to his four hooves and smiling down at her, "I'll talk to you again... ok?"
Chandra chuckled at Crown, noticing the difference in the guy, he wasn't 'healed' but she could tell he was on the right path, she hoped that he would find his way... but if for some reason he didn't, the herd would be there to support him and catch him once he fell. "You're welcome." She chirped, not making a big deal of his reponse or the fact that he was making to leave. There was no need to after all. Returning her gaze to the lake she lingered a while longer by the cool egde, her front hooves enjoying the cool-sharpness of the water.
Orion followed Eden silently, his heart skipping a beat when she flashed him one of her perfect smiles. "Let me know if I can help." He said, despite his timidness he had always wanted to dote on her every action and reaction... to be someone she could rely on. Together with Eden... he felt invinsible!
Drashi stretched his legs and wings in turn, sitting among the gathered herd members as he nibbled on an apple. He smiled and nodded at them, trying to particapate in the conversation despite feeling oddly distached from the situation.
