  ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗The following day, Alexander had changed into new clothes and and gotten to work. It really had taken him all morning to get his order ready, but after his customer came and picked it up at noon, he had nothing really to do aside from lean on the counter and wait for someone to come in. For a time he rolled a small ball across the shop floor for Rasiel, but eventually the fox went to hunt for real, leaving Alexander to his own devices once again. Eventually he went to a new hobby he'd picked up in recent years: experimenting with plants the human way. He was currently in the process of breeding two flowers to create something he believed would be absolutely beautiful. He strapped a rather strange looking device to his head so he could see the plants he was breeding better. They were crazy small, but the flowers they bore were one of the colors he was looking for. Later of course he would work to make them bigger, but now he was working with colors.

As the sun came up behind the trees and shrubbery around her house, Danny awoke. Morning had come fast, and she was still sleepy. So she let her head hit the pillow heavily, since today was Saturday. She was glad her and Louis had gone to the fair after school yesterday, instead of over the weekend. That gave her more time to herself. To sleep mostly.
After a while she awoke again to find herself in the same position she had let herself fall asleep in earlier. "Hmmm, time to get up," she told herself, because her mother was bound to get her up soon. She never liked Danny sleeping in too much. "I wonder..." Danny said, putting her finger to her chin as she was doing her usual bathroom routine. Alexander had crossed her mind many times while she had been getting ready, and she had been thinking about talking to him again, seeing what he did, where he lived. "Maybe I'll ask Evanna later," she mumbled to herself, finishing and going downstairs to breakfast.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Once Alexander had done every possible things he could for his plants and shop, even helping a few costumers who'd come in, when he finally went to the mirror he'd hung from a thin rope in the back. Rasiel was eating something small and furry on the floor, which he picked up and began to slink off with before Alexander scooped him up and held him face-to-face. "How many times have we talked about this? Did you think I wouldn't notice all that blood?" He asked. The fox spat what was left of his meal out, as though it would help. Alexander shook his head before holding Rasiel out so as to not get blood on himself and stood before his mirror. "Carissime, si voles, te pariter adiungere libet. c** lactea alas qui tangunt sidera, nos duo numquam esse longe. He said. His mirror began spinning then, picking up speed until it suddenly stopped, displaying Evanna who, by her wild hair and sleepy eyes, had just woken up. He sighed at this as she rubbed her face sleepily. "Alexander? What's happened?" She asked, her voice thick with sleep. Alexander ran a hand through his hair. "Nothing, but...So you haven't seen Danielle today?" He asked. Evanna sighed/yawned. "It's still morning Alexander. Don't act like a teenage boy so early in the game, so to speak. Alright?" She said. Alexander nodded like a chastised child, but took a breath. "I can't help it, Evanna." He said quietly. The Witch nodded understandingly. "I know Alexander. Just try to be patient, alright? You should know how much of a virtue patience is." She said with a twinkle in her eye. "After all, you did hold off on accepting a mate, right? And look what happened." She said. Alexander smiled a bit then. "Look, if you're getting restless, start writing. That's what I do." She added with another yawn. "And now, since you've woken me, I should get the day started." She said. The two said their goodbyes and Alexander went to find his notebooks.

After a quick breakfast, Danny grabbed her purse from the kitchen table, gave her mom a quick kiss on the cheek, and headed out the door. "I'll be back in a bit mom," she told her, bounding out the door. She was on her way to the store down the street. It was time for a little grocery shopping.
Danny always loved to go grocery shopping. To Danny, cooking was fun... just something that she didn't do well. She once had burned a pot of out-of-the-box mashed potatoes, but didn't understand why. To her she had done everything right, but cooking just didn't seem to come as easy to her as technology and programming did.
Once she made it to the store, she headed straight for the breads section, grabbing a cart on her way. "Alrighty now..." Danny said, looking from her list to the bread stacked in front of her, "One loaf white bread, one loaf wheat." She picked up the appropriate bread and placed it in the cart.
A vibration suddenly came from inside her purse, and she looked from her cart to the pocket on the outside of her purse/bag where she always kept her cell phone. She quickly took it out and slid it open to see that Amanda had texted her.
A: Wanna hang out today?
D: Sure! I gotta do a few things first. Danny texted, now weighing a pound of apples in a scale.
A: That's alright, how bout latr?
D: I guess, where?
A: @ my dad's house.
Looking at that text, Danny thought for a moment. That would mean she would have to travel to the next town over to get there. She weighed her options, whether she should go or not. She was deep in thought when another text popped in.
A: We could head to the lake he says!
Oh, the lake? Danny loved the lake. Amanda's father owned a small section of the lake that was near both the town and the city, and she went there sometimes with Amanda, floaties and all.
D: Sure! Lemme finish chores, tell meh momma and then I'll b over!

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander, after more fidgity time, finally stood up, lifting his head off of his counter, and let out a frustrated sigh. "This isn't right!" He exclaimed, startling Rasiel who was already after a robin who'd perched on the open windowsil. This made the bird fly off, much to Rasiel's dismay. "Fae aren't supposed to be bored! There's always something to do! Or at least..." He looked at Rasiel as he padded over. "There was..." What did he used to do? Well, before the girl who was now called Danielle, he spent all his unoccupied time thinking of what they could do together. "And afterwards...afterwards I spent my time thinking about how to get her back sooner." He said, pacing. "But now what? She doesn't even know who I am anymore...I can't just go to her any old time anymore." He ran a hand through his hair. You're gonna wear a hole in the floor. Rasiel said then, in a series of low growls. Alexander looked at him and shook his head. "I'm going for a walk. Watch the shop Rasiel." He said, going out the door and turning the sign to 'closed' and locking it behind him as he headed once more towards the woods.

When she arrived home, Danny set her purse on the kitchen table and quickly walked to her mother's office. She swung into the room and looked at her mom, a smile on her face. "Mommy, can I go with Amanda to her dad's house? She said we could go to the lake." She crossed her fingers, and her mother looked up at her, papers scattered across the desk. She set her pen down and said, "When will you be home?""Oh, probably 7-8 ish. I'll text you when the time comes." Danny's mother looked her over again, then turned away from her, swiveling her big chair towards the bookshelves behind her. She placed a few papers on one of the open shelves. With a nod, she said, "No later than 9, Danny. She'll be picking you up?" With that, Danny's smile grew and she did a mini fist pump and said, "Yeah, she will be. Massive thank you! See you later! Love you!"
Danny ran up to her room, quickly changing into her swimsuit, but covering up by pulling on her jeans and top from before. She threw a few more things in one of her beach bags and was out the door, texting Amanda now.
D: Ready 2 go! Come pick me up bro! :3
A: Yay!
After another few minutes, Amanda pulled in the driveway in her small car. Danny jumped in, and they were off.
After a good half an hour of open road and radio blasting, Amanda drove her car to a halt in the parking lot that was located a little ways from where grass met the lake front. Of course, there was a little dock, reaching out into the water about 30 feet, but the rest was open water.
Getting out of the car and running towards the lake, Danny had her bag over her shoulder and purse in hand.

((Sorry, the past few days haven't gone so well. Our power's been off and on, we ended up spending my birthday, on which I was terribly ill, driving around to stay cool in the car, and because it was too hot to stay in the house and to leave the dogs, we couldn't even stop to visit anywhere...))

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander ended up finding his way to a small pond tucked away off of the foot trail that went through the edge of the woods. It was near the only large body of water in town, the lake that drew business during the summer months. He hadn't meant to follow the trail. He wasn't fond of running into people when he wanted to walk and think. He leaned down to peer into the water, only to find a different face peering back. "Well well." He said with a smile. It was a member of his own kind, but a distant cousin. A Nixie blinked up at him, his lack of alarm intriguing her. "Hello there." Alexander said. This was a young one. She'd not yet developed her unique markings, and her 'hair' was still short. He offered her his hand, dipping just his fingertips on the water. She reached out and took it and he shook it lightly, sitting on a large rock so as to not muddy himself. "Where are your sisters, eh? One as young as yourself shouldn't be here so close to where the humans tend to frequent." He said quietly. He watched as she giggled mischievously, bubbles rising from her mouth, making him laugh some as well.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

As they reached where the grass ended, Danny threw her purse and bag down on the small space of sand between the grass and water. She pulled her top off, kicked her flip flops off, leaving herself in her bikini. "Race you off the dock!" Amanda yelled to Danny as she began to run towards the small dock that reached out into the water. Danny raced after her, the sun beginning to beat down on both of them. As they both reached the wood structure, they both got faster, but eventually slowed down as they reached the end. Danny and Amanda looked over the edge, a little cautious. "How cold do you think it is?" Danny asked Amanda, looking over at her. "I don't know... let's jump in together, okay?" Amanda asked, and Danny nodded in agreement. "On the count of three... one... two... three!"
Danny yelled. They both went to jump, but Danny held back, letting Amanda jump in before her. Danny laughed as Amanda went under, then came up, screaming, "Danny, it's freezing in here! Why would you do that? Ugh!" Danny just continued to laugh as Amanda kept at it, cursing under her breath.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander listened to the nixie girl as she explained that they had lived in a rather deep part of the lake. They'd minded their own business and the like, didn't fool with the humans. However, recently a trio of Sirens had decided they wanted to leave the ocean as people couldn't hear them over the boat engines. The nixies, who were generally peaceful, were still trying to figure out what to do about it, as it had only happened the night before. The three oldest sisters were off investigating. Alexander stoottd then and brushed himself off. "Can you show me the general area of the lake you lived in?" He asked. "I know how to get rid of them." The nixie girl nodded and headed up a creek just wide and deep enough for her to swim in. Alexander followed until they got to the lake, the opposite side from the dock. He looked out over it. "We'll need to draw their attention away from those humans..." He said. He could see two who appeared to be girls. He sighed, and thinking of no other way to do so effectively, he sighed and let himself drop from thte cliff he was standing on.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
