Shun gave Mitsu an odd look.
"It would certainly keep me from drowning but I won't have such equipment with me most of the time," he stated. Apparently he thought she had brought it up as a replacement for learning how to swim correctly.
"I'm fine," he insisted before trying again. And it happened again, though his movements were a bit more sluggish now. He indeed was getting tired.

"I meant just to practice with. To make it easier on you." Mitsu explained.
And when she observed Shun trying again it was clear he wasn't fine. "Why don't we take a short break. Maybe you can meditate for a bit and see what you come up with?" It was still working on the problem so in a way it wasn't taking a break.

"Alright," Shun nodded before wading his way towards the edge of the pool. Once he was there, he pulled himself out so he could sit at the edge, crossing his legs as he did so.
"Perhaps.. you could try meditating too?" he suggested.
"Just to work on it in general," he added before closing his eyes and preparing himself.

Mitsu followed Shun to the edge of the pool trying to hide the odd expression on her face when he mentioned she should work on meditation with him. It wasn't that she minded, the problem was she was not very good at it. It was no time to bring up what she wasn't good at though, not when she was trying to get Shun to work on swimming.
So instead of fighting it the lycan reached the edge of the pool and hauled herself out. "Okay. Can you lead me into it?" It always seemed to help more when Shun guided her in the beginning. Not that he did much but it was better than trying on her own.

"Of course..." Shun murmured softly as she joined him at the edge of the pool. He place a hand on her knee for the moment, then rested his over his own.
"Close your eyes and breath in slowly and deeply. Focus on that," he instructed while doing the same for himself. He did this for several minutes before he said one other thing.
"Clear your mind and relax.."

Once she was as comfortable as she was going to get Mitsu relaxed her arms in her lap looking to Shun shortly with a smile before she closed her eyes. As soon as darkness overtook her vision her ears were solely focused on the reaper and his words. With each simple instruction she followed taking a deep and slow breath before releasing it focusing on nothing else aside from how she was breathing.
Clearing her mind was always the difficult part. When trying to do so she tended to wander to things that always stirred up bad memories but today it was on a calmer path at least. For now she was at least able to relax.

After that, Shun had fallen silent as he was meditating fairly deeply on his own. Without any other distractions, he delved into his mind to try and seek out what it might be that was causing his inability to swim. At first there was nothing. He focused in on the sensations he felt whenever he began to sink, dredging up what he could, if there was anything to unearth in the first place.
Flickers of certain images came. Lights dancing about. An outstretched hand. Some sort of weight.
The reaper furrowed his brow at these images, not sure what to make of them.

Mitsu continued to breath and went back to focusing on that since her mind was as usual restless. She could never get passed the feeling that she was doing this meditation thing wrong. It felt odd to just sit and do nothing.
After a long moment of silence the werewolf finally dared a peek, one eye opening and glancing at the reaper beside her. She could see his brows furrowing as he focused on something, though she wasn't sure if it was something bad or not. For now she stayed silent and unmoving so that she didn't disturb him.

Shun's brow remained furrowed as he tried to dig further. He wasn't really able to get any more than what he had though. The feeling of helplessness grew however. And he found himself moving slightly as he was fighting to push it back. He was struggling to do that, however, and it became apparent as he grimaced while he did so.
Clearing his mind was one thing, but this was something he was a little less accustomed to.

Mitsu sat in silence both eyes now focused on her reaper as he continued to meditate on the problem. When he grimaced and began moving slightly she finally reached out and rested a hand on top of his.
"Shun?" She tried to speak gently hoping that would coax him back to reality.

Shun tensed briefly as he felt her hand over his but soon relaxed. His eyes slowly opened as he came away from his meditative state, not looking particularly happy.
"I think something did happen. I just don't know what it was exactly," he mumbled before slowly looking towards his girl.
"Did you manage to get anywhere?"

Mitsu's expression was laced with concern was she looked over her reaper as he slowly came to. What he revealed with a little troubling but Mitsu had no idea how she could help. All she knew to do was support him and hope that he could figure it out.
"Ummm...." When the focus turned to her own meditation Mitsu looked away with a nervous smile. "N...not much really I mean..." She sighed before she gave in. "I'm still not very good at meditating. My mind wanders and I can't focus." She looked toward Shun hopeful that he wouldn't be too disappointed.

"You'll get it sooner or later. I'm sure of it," he said firmly. He was trying to figure out how he could help increase her ability to concentrate outside of meditation. Shun was so used to being able to focus that he wasn't entirely certain how to reach that process in a way to be able to explain it to someone else.
"Whatever happened before must be from a really long time ago though..." he murmured while looking to the water.

Mitsu smiled when Shun still showed he had confidence in her. It was because of that she wouldn't give up on the cause.
Her smile faded though when he focused back on his issue, really having no way to touch on it. "I wonder what could have happened..." Mitsu looked toward the water and then back at Shun. "Do you remember what you saw?"

The Reaper shrugged lightly at that while trying to recall the bits he managed to dredge up.
"An outstretched hand. That's about it. I think there was some sort of weight as well," Shun replied with a frown, "It was more of a feeling of utter hopelessness. Or something like that."
