When it seemed he was alright Mitsu sighed with relief pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I have another idea," She said abandoning the floaties for now. Moving him so that his back was facing the open pool Mitsu came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his middle. "I'll act as your floatie. I should be able to keep us both afloat for you to get an idea of what to do. Just be conscious of what you are doing and know....if you go down I go down first." Motivation? Mitsu could only hope.

Recovering from that blow, Shun listened as she got another idea. One he was much more receptive of. He was going to note that he could drag her down, but it seemed she was already rather aware of that.
"..Alright," he said quietly before taking in a deep breath. Carefully, he tried to make sure he was balanced in the water, leaning back. Slowly he brought his legs up, trying to get himself to stay at the surface...
But went down.
And thus he sank Shisu.

As Shun had started to lean back Mitsu kicked her legs lightly to keep them up but it didn't seem to be enough. As her head dipped below the surface the lycan stubbornly wouldn't let go. Instead she forced them topside again, taking a breath as soon as she was able. It took a bit more effort on her part to keep them afloat but she was willing to do it in the mean time. Likely she would be exhausted after.
"Try to stroke with your arms now." Mitsu instructed, the effort of treading water now evident in her voice as she pulled them along the shallow end.

"You're wearing down," he uttered quietly, frowning as he was making her work harder to stay afloat. Shun let out a breath, trying to move his arms through the water. Once again, he was moving a little too forcefully, as he was trying a little too hard to do his part to help them stay up.
"I don't think this is working.."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Mitsu managed. Though it was hard to keep up with Shun moving his arms rather forcefully. It was sending them through the water fast enough that Mitsu began to lose direction on where they were going. She was so focused on just keeping them above water it wasn't much of a concern.
"Just focus on what you are doing." Mitsu encouraged.

"Alright... but please let go of me if you start getting too tired," Shun urged. It wasn't like he hadn't drowned before. It sucked, but it wasn't a huge deal. He supposed. In any case, his movements slowed a bit as he was growing tired from the way he was trying to propel them through the water.
It wasn't that much better though, as he still wasn't quite moving properly.

"I should be alright for-" THUD! And this time it was Mitsu's head that cracked against the side of the pool. Her hold loosened as she began to sink, her vision suddenly tunneling before her. It was hard to realize that beneath the water it was hard to breath for the moment she was seeing stars.

Suddenly there was a thud. Shun's eye went wide as he saw where they were.
"Kusssoooo.." he hissed as he also realized they were sinking together. In fact they were both submerged right now. It wasn't too deep, but he figured that jumping up and down wasn't going to do much good at the moment, so instead he placed himself and pushed Mitsu up to the surface, which was several inches over his head at the moment. Hopefully she wasn't unconscous, but he was slowly starting to try and shuffle to the shallower parts of the pool.
Granted, he didn't have that much breath in his lungs.

Mitsu was barely conscious of what was happening but became acutely aware of her lack of air the instant she tried to breath. Thankfully Shun had taken hold of her and pushed her to the surface and there she frantically grabbed for the edge and managed to pull herself up enough to cough up the water in her lungs. The water burned leaving her gasping trying to ease the pain but to no avail.
It was only after a second of coughing and trying to catch her breath that she realized she was alone. "Shun?" His name was a struggle to get out between coughing, turning back to see the reaper struggling to get to shallow water. Not sure she would be able to move him along in time in her current state Mitsu released the wall and plunged back into the water despite still being dazed.
The cracking of bones could be heard and the next thing Shun would know was there would be a giant wolf head coming up from underneath him and rising him to the surface in a hurry.

While Shun was down there, supporting Mitsu, a few bubbles escaped his mouth as he was struggling to hold his breath. Once he felt her weight leave his arms, he began to try and jump to the surface but his body locked up from the lack of air. Thankfully, he soon had a rather large wolf pushing him up to the surface. Clutching to her lupine face, he gasped for air once he broke the top of the water.
Coughing, he took a few moments to flood his lungs with air once more, while getting rid of some of the water he had ended up swallowing.
"Mits--" he started before coughing, "You're... you're alright.."
Since she managed to shift in time to get him back to the surface as well.

"Yeah...I'm alright. Just a little stunned." Moving them back toward shallow water Mitsu only shifted back when she was able to stand on her own as well. She teetered momentarily, thankful that the water helped retain her balance.
"Are you okay?" She was, concern written across her face as her hand reached to access the damage to her head. Seemed Shun wouldn't be the only one sporting knot on his head from this event.

Now that they were both more recovered, Shun moved himself so he wasn't just... clinging to her face literally. He pushed himself along so that he was using more of her back to support him as they floated there in the water. Once they were in shallower waters again, he moved away so that she could shift back before nodding to her.
"Nothing I hadn't experienced before," he said quietly before watching her feel her head.
"Do you think we should stop for the day?"
They both bumped their heads and all. And somewhat worn down.

"The point is to keep you from drowning...not be the cause of it." Mitsu winced when her fingers lightly ran over the knot on her head.
"I guess..." Mitsu didn't like the idea of calling it quits for the day but it would likely be foolish to continue. It would be best to rest and try again another time. "I'm sorry I'm not very good at instructing.." She apologized. Mitsu was starting to lean toward maybe she was the issue. If he had a better instructor perhaps today would have went better. "We should still try again tomorrow or the day after."

Shun took a hold of her hand as she suggested it might have been her rather than him.
"It isn't you. As I said.. this is something I have never succeeded in. A brilliant teacher won't be able to help a worthless student," he said quietly.
Letting out a sigh, he nodded to her quietly. Right. Try again within the next day or so. He still didn't really have high hopes on this. Making his way towards the edge, he pulled himself out of the pool.

"You are not a worthless student," Mitsu said firmly. You've only been convinced to think that way, she thought to herself.
Moving to the edge of the pool as well Mitsu pulled herself up and sat on the edge for a moment while she got her bearings. She was still a bit dizzy but managed to finally get to her feet and make her way back to her duffle bag to pull out a towel for her and Shun. "Here."
