"On the contrary Nora, the spear I brought you was literally in pieces, I have slowly had you restoring it to what it once was. Admittedly I have also had you improve it but that does not mean it was flawless the first time. Nothing is flawless the first time." Silas said as he took another sip from his wine. He look to the lady behind the counter a quickly ran his thumb along his neck, signalling that Ellie should be cut off. Even he could recognize when someone had been drinking too much. He had plenty of experience with people who had. "And Nora I may not know what they plan but I certainly know enough to know that we should not be immediately worried by it. Surely they plan to do something big and frightening and destructive and when they do greater men will answer the call. Others will fight to do what they think is right, meanwhile I will be here protecting the people I have always protected. We need not think the world waits on us." As Silas spoke his smug grin faded almost as if the last words he had said dragged dark memories into the light. Memories he had buried long ago. Nora was not the first girl he had said that line to. She was not the first he had lectured, there was one other, a girl who he had lost after the war and one he would give everything to see again. After a few seconds staring past Nora with the sad look on his face Silas realized what he was doing and he pulled his grin back up before spinning in his chair to pick up his wineglass again.

"Well he is right about the first part Nora. Nothing is flawless the first time it is worked on. Not even the sword I gave you was flawless." Eleven was quiet about that part, he didn't want Silas to know he had been right about something. "And I come here every once and a while to get an idea of what has been going on in my absence. People sure like to talk about rumors and such here. In my experience rumors are very true and worth looking into. "

Nora's eyes shifted to Eleven as he agreed with Silas. They were both wrong. That spear was perfect, and Nora wasn't going to admit anything other than that. She was tired, and irritated. She couldn't shut her thoughts off or other peoples thoughts, she could heard them all, and exhaustion made her mean. She wasn't going to argue Silas or Eleven out loud, but she knew eleven could read that she was not going to admit defeat on that blade, in which was fine from the beginning, and Silas had her redoing it to be simply annoying and nit picky.
Her eyes looked back to Silas. "If you are happy, I am done here and I'm going home and I will----" Nora paused for a moment as she stared at the drunk Ellie in her chair, swiveling back and forth. "Where is my child?" Nora had left him with her for a few days as she tried to get ahold of her mind.
❞ "Ahhhh I don't know?" That was Ellie's only response, forcing Nora's eyes wide with shock and fear. "I think I left him--with Loki?"

Silas turned to Ellie when Nora asked where the child was. Her response was a little odd to him but also a little funny. He did not laugh though, knowing Nora would freak out if he did. Instead Silas stood up and grabbed his spear. "Alright beautiful, I think you have had a little to much to drink. Come on, let's get you back to your place." Silas said as he offered his free hand to Ellie. He turned his head towards Nora. "Where will we be taking her?" He asked calmly. Silas slept with a lot of people but it was not as fun to him if they were not fully aware of what they were doing. He doubted Ellie could say what color the sky was right now so he figured she should get to bed.

Eleven closed his eyes and began looking forward into possible futures. He could see four minutes into any direct future without focusing much and he was taking advantage of that right now. If he teleported anywhere into the doma he would find nothing but if he teleported to a particular place in the Zaibatsu... "Relax Nora, the child is still in Ellie's room. He is sleeping right now. Everything seems fine. "

"Thanks--" Nora tiredly smiled at Eleven and back at Silas. "I'll take her." Nora didn't trust him, even if he told her he was an honest man, her early life history taught her other wise.
❞ "My son loved your class when you taught Algebra--" Ellie turned and looked at Eleven. "But not yours Nora. He said art was boring--" When Silas offered his hand to Ellie, she pushed it away. "No one it taking me anywhere, I'm staying right here, right now, with this right drink." Ellie took another sip as she shooed Silas away.

Silas looked slightly upset when Ellie pushed his hand away but it quickly faded back into his normal smile. He knew he could make her get up and leave, with just a few simple words she would be forced to leave. So few words that could have such a large effect. He didn't like that power. Instead Silas approached the situation differently. He listened to Nora. "You convince her to leave, I will get the door." With those few words he moved like a viper, slowly weaving his way across the casino towards the door and when he reached it he stood quietly waiting for the trio at the bar.

Eleven stood quietly watching with slight amusement as Ellie refused to leave. He knew a key phrase that could be used to snap her out of this. The simple word 'i'll send Derek here then' would server his purpose. But he did not say them because he, like Silas, wanted to see how Nora dealt with the situation.

Nora watched Ellie hit away Sila's hand, and she sighed. "I'm not going to convince her, she's just going to do what I tell her to do. Let's go Ellie." Nora first let her hand out and Ellie hit away again. Nora realized force was going to have to be an option and Nora grabbed both her arms, pulling her from the swiveling chair.
"Errr, let, let go of me--" Ellie dug her heels into the ground, fighting Nora's strength, but Nora was substantially stronger than the old Doma queen. "I don't want to leave."
"You are belligerent. You need to go home."
"You don't own me. Everyone acts like they own me. I haven't been able to do anything I want for 20 years because of Loki and his stupid Eight laws" Ellie still struggled to pull back but was now completely out of her seat. The frustration came over the drunk Ellie as her eyes now forced them, and the whole casino into the wintery arctic, making everyone around them see the blizzard and feel the cold.
Nora had forgotten Ellie had this ability, and when she was standing in a foot of snow, she released Ellie, who fell backwards into the bar counter, placing everyone back in the casino.
When Ellie stumbled backwards, she knocked over the remaining of her drink. Looking over at it, Ellie had a look of sadness upon her face. "Awee- Nora. You just wasted that."
"No-you did. Now lets go, or I can start pulling you again." Nora calmly stood looking at Ellie, who than quickly ran past her to Silas.
Ellie ran to Silas, giving him a hug, with her arms wrapped around his waist. "You can take me home--I changed my mind." Ellie winked at Silas.
"You just met him 10 minutes ago. He is not taking you home." Nora walked up behind Ellie and her eyes met with Silas. "You're NOT allowed to take her home." Nora knew what Silas might do once Ellie sobered up. Ellie truly had that choice, to be with whoever she pleased, but Nora knew Ellie on a personal level, and she would regret it in the morning.
Nora came up behind Ellie and wrapped her arms around her from behind, pulling her off of Silas. Ellie struggled in her arms as Nora walked backwards, dragging Ellie with her, in an attempt to pull Ellie out of the Bar.
"LET GO NORA." Ellie screamed as she pulled forward. "I want to go home with him!"
"You don't know what you want. you're drunk."
"You're just jealous, because you don't understand what it's like to have a man want to take you home because you're beautiful. You were just there for those men to use you for their own selfish pleasures." When Ellie said this, Nora stopped pulling her and let go, Ellie falling forward onto her face against the ground.
Ellie's words hurt Nora, they pierced her like a spear through her heart. This was suppose to be her friend, and she used a part of her past against her, just to be near some man she didn't even know.
Nora looked at Silas, than at Eleven, than back at Silas. "Feel free to take her home." Nora wanted to say much more than that, but didn't, and turned around, leaving the Casino.
Ellie rolled on the ground and flopped onto her back. She tiled her head back to see her friend leaving the casino. "I'm sorry--I didn't mean it--" Ellie said towards Nora, who was now on the other side of the doors. "NORA---COME BACK--!"

Eleven had found his way to the door where Silas stood long before Ellie or Nora had. Silas didn't mind the awkward standing around as they waited fro Nora to force Ellie out of the casino. It was pretty funny watching Nora struggle but Silas did not laugh, he just maintained his smile. When Ellie broke from Nora and ran over to him, embracing him in a hug, he was slightly confused as to what had happened until Nora came over and peeled her off of him. Then they continued to argue and Nora stormed out of the building. Silas and Eleven looked at each other before Silas spoke to Ellie. "Well that ended poorly. Come on let's go calm Nora down." Silas spoke broadly to all of then then turned and pushed the door open with the blunt end of his spear. He took a few steps outside before he thought he heard a suspicious noise, however he disregarded it and jogged towards Nora. "Hey! Nora, are you alright?"

Eleven stood quietly, entertained by what was occurring until finally both Nora and Slade were outside. Eleven looked over at Ellie. The power she had shown was odd to him. He would have to look into that in the future. It was not the same type of reality altering he had, her power seemed limited to something but he was not sure what. Finally he spoke. "Let's go Ellie. " With those few words he stepped outside the door. That was when he heard the same noise Silas had heard however unlike the viper, Eleven did not dismiss it. He was far more curious and began looking around the Casino exit.

Nora walked through the doors, but stopped when she heard a slight noise. She turned behind her, seeing nothing, but than continued walking until she heard jogging behind her and Silas. Nora didn't stop, just walked and rolled her eyes as this womanizer came up behind her.
"I'm fine--make sure ellie gets home." Was all she said as she continued walking, not stopping. She was tired and needed sleep, she didn't want to deal with Silas or he drunk friend.
❞ "Oh are you taking me home now?" Ellie said flirtatiously as she sat up, looking at Eleven, but he walked out the door. In a way, this was what she wanted, to not be bothered and to continue drinking. But her conscious told her to get up and go after all 3 of them, and she didn't want to loose Silas in her drunkin state. Standing up she followed Eleven.

Silas could practically feel the chill coming off Nora. She was obviously angry and likely didn't want to deal with him so he stopped walking and began waiting for the other two to catch up. When he did stop the source of the noise he had heard earlier became very clear as five armed men dropped down in front of them. Silas recognized one of them, a man who had once gambled with and lost everything to Silas. Three men were armed with bows and arrows, primitive but effective weapons because arrows could be modified for many purposes. The other two were armed differently. One had a sword and the other had a staff. Silas took a step forward towards Nora and shifted his spear into his right hand.

Eleven had not stopped walking by the time he saw the five men drop down in front of Silas and Nora. In a rush he took a step forward towards them only to find three others drop down around Ellie and himself. These three armed with bows and arrows, along with a single short sword strapped to their waists. This was not very threatening to Eleven, but he also had to protect the other three who he saw as incompetent so things were complicated.

Nora completely stopped walking once the men stopped before her. Her eyes narrowed as she laid her eyes upon their poorly made weaponry, and turned back to Silas. "What did you do?"
Nora turned back to the men and pulled the sword Eleven made her from her hip. "Feel free to attack me, I'm in a bad mood and this might help." Nora wouldn't attack anyone unless they came at her first, she wasn't like Ten, she didn't want to kill anyone, but she would if she needed too.
❞ Ellie wasn't a fighter, she had new found abilities she had a hard time controlling, and that was about as good as it got. but she stood frozen next to Eleven. Between him and Nora, she knew she would be safe, as for Silas, she had never seen him fight.

"I was better at card then the short one with the stubby nose." Silas replied to Nora as the short assailant with the stubby nose thrust his hand forward in the universal gesture for 'give me your money'. Silas shook his head and the three with bows took aim. They had to be honest here, Nora and Silas may have been good but neither of them could fully evade three arrows coming at them at the exact same time. Knowing this Silas put one hand up in surrender. He then reached behind his back as if trying to find a bag of coins, however it was not coins that he grabbed. It was a knife, which Silas quickly flung into the shoulder of one of the archers. He the jabbed his spear forward at another and pulled it back when the blade was smacked aside. He probably should have told Nora he intended to fight but there had been little time to speak. The short man with a sword bull rushed at Silas who spun out of the way and smacked the man over the back of the head with the blunt end of his spear. Then, in a very quick motion, Silas ran his hand along the blade of his spear coating it in some odd, clear liquid. It was then that the two unharmed archers took aim and shot at Nora. The man with the staff had moved back a few yards and was mumbling some words.

Eleven noticed what Silas was going to do before the others. He had been in the man's head. In reaction to that Eleven teleported directly up to the archers who had chosen to attack him by this point. He drove his sword directly into the stomach of the first and then used that archers body to block the incoming arrows from the other two who had now also become aware of the fight at hand.

With a sudden, unfair strike, an arrow pierced through Nora’s shoulder. She let out a gasp as her lungs felt like they had been suddenly forced closed in that unbearable moment.Their first attempt of spilling blood was at that moment, and she couldn’t believe it was hers. Dropping her sword she fell back on her behind, but quickly pulled the arrow from her flesh and reached for her blade before one of the men could grab it from the ground, and one had tried.
As her shoulder self healed, Nora quickly stumbled to her feet in a running motion towards the man who raced her to her blade. Together their blade clashed, and with a twist up of her wrist, she disarmed him, holding both his sword and hers.
❞ Ellie stood and watched the fight before her, she began to sober up really quick, in a situation like this, it's almost as if she had never even taken a sip.
From behind, one of the men grabbed her, wrapping their arm around her neck and holding a blade to her body. Ellie tried to fight him off with what small strength she had. His arm's strength made her feel like she suffocating, and her struggle began to show. Ellie's eyes went white, and their seasons around them began to change. First Winter, than summer, than fall, than winter again. After doing that a few times, the man loosed his grip a bit in fear. But it didn't end there for Ellie, she brought them to the beach, than into the mountains, than the forrest. Without the ability to control her abilities, they went haywire during a time of desperation and struggle.

Silas staid in the bulk of the battle, dealing with the archer Nora was not currently struggling with and the stubby man who had organized the attack. He did not notice everything changing around him, he only thought as far as his next move and his surroundings had nothing to do with that move. With a very swift thrust he had torn his spear through the archer and within a few more quick jabs he had set the short swordsman off balance. With a quick thrust into the chest from the blunt end of his spear the short man fell onto his back. Silas gave his spear a single spin in his hand to change which end he struck with and then he drove the spear down into the man's shoulder. He was sending a message and making himself seem merciful even though he knew the poison on the blade would kill the man in a brief time. It was then that the man with the staff who had avoided most of the battle made his move. The man thrust his arms forward and with them a massive, continuous, surge of lightning all aimed directly at Nora. Science motivated Silas to step in front of the blast. Poorly constructed science, but science none the less. Silas reached out with his left arm, which was basically covered in armor, then aimed his spear at the sorcerer with his right. When the surge hit his left arm the plan proceeded to go as he had intended only with far more pain than he had expected. He let out a shout at first but the pain quickly ended when the lightning came out from the tip of his spear and tore through the sorcerer's head. Silas stumbled a little then fell to one knee. That had really hurt.

Eleven grew tired of these humans attacking and disposed of them in a simple way. He ripped his sword from the archer who's body he had been using as a shield and then he beheaded the second archer with a quick swing. Turning to the third who had grabbed Ellie Eleven simply twisted his hand and when he did the man's neck snapped, letting out a noticeable cracking noise. Then Nine shouted to the redheaded woman. "Ellie! Stop what you are doing!"

Nora spun around as she heard the yells come from Eleven's lips at Ellie, she than turned to look at Silas. "Are you alright?" She figured now wasn't the time to be mad at anyone, and if he needed her, she would be there quickly. But a smile came from her lips as she had now relied Eleven practically destroyed each one of the men, this is why he fascinated her so.
But Ellie, Nora and her for some time had been trying to figure out why she had these abilities and how to control them, they both had yet found a solution, and Nora wasn't going to ask Eleven for anymore help than she already had.
❞ When Eleven killed the man standing behind Ellie, she fell to her knees and hid her face, bringing them back to the casino. "I wish I knew how Eleven--" Ellie said as looked up at him and dropped her hands.

Silas Thorn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm fine." Silas mumbled as he slowly unstrapped the armor on his left arm. The charred and dented metal slid off revealing many scars and burns spread across the surface of the skin on just the arm. The wounds ended at about his shoulder and began at his hand. He rubbed his palm a little which seemed to have taken most of the damaged. It would be fine in a little time. His body adaptively evolved and so the pain would fade almost instantly. The damaged would heal at a normal rate but he would not be bothered by it. Silas turned his head to look at Ellie who seemed upset. He could help her, he could stop her powers from functioning when she was around him. But she couldn't always be around him so that was really just putting a band aid on a bullet wound. She would need more help than what he could provide and so he didn't say anything.

Eleven looked around when they had returned to the casino. He could help her by having his father simply wipe her mind of all emotion but he doubted she would want that. From what he saw so far emotion was the only trigger for her power, she had no control over it at any time. It was a little sad to him that she could do what she could but she could not control it. "Just learn how. There is always someone who can teach you."
