This phoenix seemed pretty keen to kill him compared to the other ones, and its attention was distinctly still on him as it flared its rippling foggy wings and circled to face him once again.
He was ready for it, and managed to land another hit on it as it swept past, but it was clearly learning and this time even as he clipped it, it pecked him hard enough to knock him sprawling to the ground.
Tracey offered helpfully.

Oh to be ******** stronger. He hauled himself to his feet again with a grunt. "Sorry, I'm really not on ******** form today."

Rep still bristled at the offered help. He was aware the shouldn't, it was unprofessional to say the least to let personal opinions get in the way of business, but he hadn't laid to rest or resolved any of his issues with the moon hunter since their last encounter. And being Rep, that meant he'd carried that slight the whole time since.
"No one asked people to like anything." he snarled. "And its not suicide either, I'm trying to do my ******** job. It just so happens that I'm s**t enough that maybe to an outsider it looks like suicide." He didn't feel like his usual arrogant act. It was kind of hard to act like you were certain you were a badass when you were being ragdolled around periodically by giant fog phoenixes.
"Don't worry, I won't ******** inconvenience your day by dying, I'll back out before that happens." he shrugged and once again jumped to meet the bird when it made the mistake of coming into range of Tracey's bite.
But again it was all feathers and wispy nothing as his swipe went straight through without connecting with anything.

Leon tried to be sneaky and attack the bird while rep was being ginger bait. One can be only so covert with a mechanical, roaring weapon.
It should have been no surprise when the phoenix whirled around and slashed at the life hunter with its sharp smoky feathers.

Jerry was a slow eater, and so while they had their nice lunch break and gotten back to the grind, he was still chomping on the end of his sandwich. Thankfully, bloodsugars back on track, also meant his aim was as well. With a boom, he completely failed to cause damage to the dorms, but instead hit the fresh phoenix with a fresh blast.

If Rep didn't want to play nice, that was his deal, but as he snapped, the moon hunter gave up. He wasn't about to waste his time defending someone who didn't want it. He wanted to have his a** handed to him? Fine. "On premise Rep, I should defend your sorry a** but with your defeatist attitude?" He rolled out of the way, not bothering to block the phoenix heading Rep's direction. "My skills are better suited else where." You're making Cass upset.

As Marcus gave up defending him he snorted angrily, watching him leave. "Good. Go defend the resident gym arsehole."
He irritably turned on the incoming phoenix, catching sight of Rin out of the periphery of his vision and giving her a nod. He didn't wait to see if she was ready though as he charged forward, with swing after swing hacking at the thing, tired and furious.

Too late. This time a wing came down on him hard, and sent him crashing to the ground.
He knew it, he could feel it. It took all his effort to get back to his feet and to outright stagger off the battlefield again, away from the phoenix, hoping like the other it'd keep its attention on the moving, vulnerable targets.

All the arguing was too much for the stone headed life hunter as he stared at the others. Mostly at rep and Marcus. "Are you two having some kind of lovers spat?" he ask dumbly.
that was, until his eyes widened as. "Are you cheating on your mates with EACH OTHER?!"
That was when the phoenix took its chance to maul him and tear his shirt open and throw him to the ground.

As Rep moved out of range of the phoenix, Jordan moved back in, nodding a wordless thanks to Cass; once again though, Ferros crashed through its wingtip instead of landing a solid body strike. Ferros snarled with frustrated heat. Jordan growled a little himself with frustration.

Cass seemed to be frustrated, and not with the Phoenix. The Phoenix was falling into a rhythm that she could parry rather easily, to be honest.
And if that kept it off of Jordan? By all means....
