With the one in the closet dead, all that remained were the ones in the main bedroom. Gale quietly pushed open the door, peering into it cautiously - and really hoping there was nothing enormous in here.

In the main bedroom - which wasn't much larger than the second bedroom, for that matter - he found something grey and heavy beneath the bed. Or, at least it would have been under the bed, had it not whipped out from beneath it and slammed into him, sending Gale staggering backwards several steps. He fired off several shots, glaring at the thing, but didn't manage to kill it just yet.

The house was nearly clear now. Gale had been ensconced within the walls of the small building for several hours now, working to clear out the rest of the creatures inhabiting it, but it seemed as if he were quite close to being finished.
And then he could finally - finally - move into his own place.
All he had to do now was get rid of the last creature, sitting on the floor of the bedroom, beneath one of the windows.
Gale lifted the rifle, and pointed it at the creature.
"Bye bye."
Bang.
