As the crane spoke, Tamaki's head felt as if a thousand pounds had just hit his central nervous system, and he started to feel himself spinning. The crane had responded to Tamaki. At this point, Tamaki was seriosuly starting to question his sanity. He remembered no part of the lesson in school that had mentioned that these birds could talk. Tamaki took a deep breath as to say something, but only released it as a sigh. He didn't want to question it. Thats all there was too it. He just wanted to take the bird back to the village, and get it to safety. Who was he to question nature, or it's intelligence. For all he knew, it could've been far more wise and older than Tamaki.
Tamaki gave his signiture nod towards the crane. "Well, how fast can you travel? I believe that the safest and fastest way would be to go back along the beach, and to the Uzumaki compound right off the beach on the western part of the island."

Before Tamaki could finish his statement the crane lowered itself as much as it could and spoke softly in his ear. "STAND PERFECTLY STILL!"

At the sound of someone speaking, Junko's heart stopped mere moments before she let out a startled scream. As she screamed she fell backwards into the shallow river, bring covered in sand and mud in the process.
She reemerged sputtering water and coughing. "What the hell?! Are you trying to scare me to death you..." she paused in mid shout as she brushed her frazzled damp hair out of the way and saw that it was a large bird standing where the voice came from. "...bird?" A bird. A bird had just spoken to her. What the hell? Was it a nin-animal. Junko had heard of such creatures but never encountered one, until now that is.
She stood up, water pouring from her figure, as she slung mud off her hands. She sighed as she looked over herself. Her white dress was now soaked through (showing she was attaining a girlish figure), muddy in spots and most likely ruined.
Rinsing her hands off in the water the best she could, she started to squeeze the water out of her long braid. "I guess we, er... I was looking for you Crane-san," still eyeing the bird suspiciously and wringing her braid. "I wasn't aware we were looking for nin-animals. My clan wishes to protect your species from extinction so I'm here on behalf of Clan Uzumaki to escort you back to our village where the others of your kind are waiting. Five are already there. My clanmates are looking for the other four as we speak."

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Confronting the Crane. ✔Mood: Less Frustrated ✔Thoughts: Now to get things moving. The knack of flying is... But of course Crane-san, preservation of life is our main goal here. Tsubasa pulled out his kunai and made a small slice in his hand and performed the necessary hand signs so that he could call upon his own clanmate. After the smoke cleared a flying frog slightly taller than Tsubasa was standing attention. Hey there fuzz brother, Chuyo sends his regards and apologies for not being here. He sends I, Chugo the Great, here in his palce, how may I be of assistance? I really need to change the appearance of my flight suit, otherwise I'll never hear the end of it from the clan. Chugo, I would like for you to take these crane eggs and protect them while I help escort their parents back to the Uzumaki village, and be ready to respond the moment I call. If it's not too much trouble that is.I have to babysit Chuyo's tadpoles later this afternoon anyways, so a few eggs won't be hard to manage. There you have it Crane-san, I can have your eggs watched over while we escort you back to the village. Now how can we assist you in your relocation?

With a sigh the crane stood, showing an amazing collection of twelve eggs, all of which couldn't be his, they did however appear as if they belonged to 5 different cranes. "I, Etsio Grus Da Whirlpool, the leader of the humble Grus clan hold the fate of the future of my clan in your promises; if you fail me I will take the liberty of removing you from this world." He was cooperative, just very skeptical. The crane nodded, "You would be somewhat correct, my clan formerly were the sage consorts of the Uzumaki when the original four Uzumaki brothers formed the clan. Since that time we have slowly dwindled in numbers. If your clan wishes to hold us then we are bound by the contract the four brothers signed in your clan's blood. Lead the way."

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Heading back to the vilage. ✔Mood: Good to be in the air again. ✔Thoughts: Now to get this ol' bird back home. The knack of flying is... Tsubasa watches as Chugo walks over and gathers all of the eggs into the folds of his arm sail. Alright kiddo, I'm ready to be sent back to the can now, I'll see you later.Take care of those eggs Chugo, I don't feel like dying today. With a few hand signs, Tsubasa releases Chugo and the flying frog disappears in a cloud of smoke. Turning to the crane Tsubasa readies his own flight sails.Come on Etsio, let us take to the skies, I hope you can keep up Tsuyomaru! With that, Tsubasa runs and leaps off the edge and begins his "flight" back to the exam area.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... Tsuyomaru watched as his consort gathered the crane's eggs and returned from wince he came. He was ready, and just as he was about to begin his trek back down the mountain he saw Tsubasa take off, exiting in his own way. Perhaps that would be the better way to go, if he could glide all the way back he wouldn't have to worry about being confronted by the other participants.
With a smirk Tsuyomaru pulled off his scarf and unrolled it fully, showing that it was actually folded over, making it a full 7 feet long and 3 feet wide. He Clinched the ends in his hands and charged off the mountain and into the great wide open. Due to his gliding instrument having a bit more surface area Tsuyomaru quickly caught up and passed by Tsubasa, "DON'T YOU FRET ABOUT THE RED HURRICANE!" There was something to be asked... WHEN THE HELL DID HE PUT HIS MASK ON?!

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Heading back to the village. ✔Mood: Good to be in the air again. ✔Thoughts: I'm so glad the Gale Palm thrust didn't backfire. The knack of flying is... The nerve of him, thinking he can out fly me, time to show him what all my hard days of practice turn out. Tsubasa wasn't about to take second place in a flight back to the finish line. Slipping his staff into the locked position, Tsubasa slipped his hands out of the sleeves and quickly made several hand signs as his chakra poured into his hands. Wind Release: Gale Palm! Immediately after he clapped, Tsubasa pulled hard on his staff until he was perpendicular to the ground, allowing the blast of wind he just generated to fill his sails and rocket him forward instead of falling to a dive. He pulled his body up in time to watch as he was racing past Tsuyomaru I'll see you back at the exam room Hurricane-sama! Several minutes passed before Tsubasa's speed reduced back to normal gliding, looking up he saw the exam compound rising into view. Almost done here.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... Tsuyomaru could only watch as Tsubasa zoomed past him like the flying squirrel he was. The older Uzumaki would have to compliment him on his ability to think on his err... wings. Though, it would have to be when he saw his friend at the trial compound, but it didn't mean he wasn't going to give Tsubasa a run for his money.
With a quick shift of his hands Tsuyomaru's scarf came tight long enough for the boy to clap his own hands in the direction of the compound. "Wind Release: Gale Palm!" Tsuyomaru wasn't going to try to out fly Tsubasa, no, that would be stupid. He was however, turning himself into a dive bomb heading straight for the destination. The sudden shift gave Tsuyomaru the chance to glance back to ensure that his bird was indeed flying with him. Good, didn't want anything bad to happen to them.
Within moments Tsuyomaru had somewhat caught up with Tsubasa; he was still a good twenty feet away, but it was going to be close!

Tamaki frze in place, as if made from metal. He had no idea why the crane had told him not to move, but Tamaki, of course, assumed the worst. In a low whisper, Tamaki squeezed out the words: "What is it?"
After saying the three very quiet words, he started to dart his eyes once more, trying to figure out what sort of danger he was in.

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Standing in a crater. ✔Mood: Slightly tired, with sore knuckles. ✔Thoughts: My hands hurt, but I made it. The knack of flying is... The hell? He is not going to beat me to the ground! Sure, Tsubasa blew his wind a bit early, but Tsuyomaru blew his only wind. Tsubasa had one last trick up his sleeve, risky, but he wanted to impress Tsuyomaru so it had to be done. He allowed tendrils of his chakra to tickle the air, stirring it until it started to strengthen the breeze that was pushing him towards the exam starting line. Using his chakra, Tsubasa guided to wind to blow in a downward direction, and flipping himself over so he faced the sky, he fired off his hand signs. Wind Release: Great Breakthrough! The wind immediately started roaring around Tsubasa and flung him haphazardly towards the ground. Once again, he blasted past Tsuyomaru, this time as soon as passed his hero he started spiraling out of control. This is probably going to hurt! Tsubasa started channeling his chakra to his hands, he tilted his body till his outstretched arms were pointing directly at the ground. As he kept falling he kept funneling his chakra into his now balled up fists. The ground rushing ever closer, Tsubasa grinned, knowing that this is possibly the most thrilling thing he's done to date. CHERRY BLOSSOM IMPACT!!! As he hit the ground, the earth around him exploded as his chakra infused fists ruptured the ground beneath them, a whirlwind of flower petal-like clods of earth flying into the sky. Tsubasa wearily stands up and pulls a strip of dried meat from his pocket and begins chewing on it. Now THAT was fun.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... Tsuyomaru had to tip his hat to Tsubasa, while his descent wasn't pretty, it got him to the ground first. With that in mind he decided that he would go with a change of pace, as he neared the trial chamber once again he let go of one end of his scarf and began forcing his chakra out his hands and feet. As his quick descent slowed steadily Tsuyomaru's body spun around as well as propelled slightly upward due to his technique, causing him to look like a strange human helicopter with a long red scarf.
Within moments Tsuyomaru's feet softly touched the ground next to Tsubasa's crater. "While I commend you for your initiative, I cannot praise your disregard for our home. I understand your frustration in wanting to chase your dreams of flight, but to rebuke the land to the point of causing harm to a precious area is something I don't wish to be involved with." Tsuyomaru spoke highly, and while Tsubasa was left to reflect on Tsuyomaru's statements the short Uzumaki escorted his crane inside the building.

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Waiting to end this portion of the exam. ✔Mood: Slightly tire ✔Thoughts: I really need to work on that landing.. The knack of flying is... Tsubasa climbs out of his crater and, escorting his crane, catches up to Tsuyomaru inside the building. Normally I'd agree with you boss, but if it between a crater or a Tsubasa flavored pancake, I'd have to choose the crater. Anyways, we've got the cranes, we've brought them back, now what?

The tranquil area he had decided to wait for made him frown quietly. This is not what he had in mind, but this isn’t the only spot like this given that each little waterfall had a plateau just like this. There would be some more area to explore of course as he began to make his way through the brush and trees silently. The stagnation was less and less the more he moved to the top-most little waterfall as crisp clear water flowed through and down to the other basins from this branch of one of the islands bigger rivers that run through it. The wildlife was all around him, just not what he was looking for as the many varied sounds of a forest filtered through the trees.
The basin at the top was surrounded by vegetation, not just grass, but a variety of home garden plants grew here. It was a very fertile region of the island, a natural garden of sorts, and it continued down to the third basin, two from the bottom given that nature itself doesn’t strive for perfection as Kojin took a seat in one of the trees as he resisted temptation to pick any of the varied fruits that grew here as he contented himself by waiting for a bit before he climbed higher in the tree, this region was a major part of the forest, and was more or less blanketed by trees except for the strip where the small river-branch came through. From here he could see MT. Uzumaki and a few of the smaller mountains and larger hills In the area as he did his best to remain hidden in-case his quarry were to fly overhead. Further south of his position was a smaller mountain, he didn’t remember its name, or if it had one at the moment but it was dotted with trees like some sort of hairy hill given the bulk of the trees, as it was more or less a part of the forest.
Kojin again looked through the air as the quiet sound of the pristine water flowed down beneath him, the sound of smaller animals and birds around him made clear the plentiful wildlife In the area, he was sure he saw a fox and a few squirrels a minute ago. He remembered from class what kind of animals populate this part of the island, it’s a bit of a chore attempting to remember them all while you’re also hunting for something that can be anywhere nearly. No sign yet… the squirrels aren’t attempting to investigate him further because of their unfamiliarity it would seem, just a bit longer… before he’d move on that is. He sighed in thought as he put his hand up to support his chin as he frowned. He was sure he’d see one here before too long, luck may not be on his side today given the length period of time he had waited down below, but he would need to have patience if he were to try this strategy he remembered as he sat up again and alert for anything. It wouldn’t hurt however to take notes on the forest itself in the process… to which he pulled out pencil and paper he had in one of his pockets in order to begin writing down little details that made him smile as he looked about every few seconds like someone would pounce upon him up high in his tree, mostly looking for the crane.
It wouldn’t take long for him to retire from writing down how many animals he spotted and the various kinds, along with what they were doing as he put all his attention to the task at hand with a renewed vigor as he began to move from treetop to treetop down the streamline, which grew wider and flowed faster the more he closed in on the source and it wasn’t long before it was more of a fullblown river rather than the tranquil runoff as it had been more to the north as he kept quiet as he scanned the water edges, and the skies for a bird hoping he’d spot one he could follow or perhaps simply convince to come without any struggling. Either way, he would need to get the bird back both unharmed and hopefully without running into any of the other competitors at the same time. That would make things complicated.
