Quin looked at the little ghoul curled up on the flood and shook her head. "Deary, if ya don' want ta fight I would recommend ya step out ta another class." Poor little ghoul, so unready for the world.
A smile appeared on her face though when she turned Vel. "Malkem isn' da most considerate when it comes ta a lady." Malcolm's name never came out quite right when Quin said it but that didn't seem to bother her.
Smile growing almost ruthless Quin got into a stance. "Aye, let's show dese li'le whelps wha a real fight looks like."
Waiting only a second to make sure Vel was ready Quin charged forward initiating the fight and made to slam into the undead raptor and take her to the floor.

Choosing this moment to enter was probably not the best thing for the ice demon, but for Pyre? It was perfect indeed. Well well, wasn't this quite the sight. Strolling in with her hands shoved in to her pockets, the phoenix's caught just the bare end of a certain someone setting up their...rather flimsy little barrier. Call it pride, or call it the fact that he was ice to her fire... that made her want to pick on the little runt relentlessly. Choosing that moment to allow that warm part of her being to rise, Pyre let her own fear rear its ugly head. She confined the fear to only spread over her arms. If allowed, flames would have covered her from head to toe. Just as Arel had easily brought forth the ice shields... she touched a edge of the barrior, and brought them crashing down. "Hello, darling Arel." She let her own amusement show in the curve of her mouth, the glint of her eyes. They promised further amusement... probably on his behalf. HP: 50/50 DMG: 21

Despite taking a rather hefty blow, this was more like it! No time wasted at all. Right into the action.
"Hah! Now this is what I'm talking about," she shouted as she scrambled back to her feet. Vel's claws flexed for just a moment before she pounced for Quin with her leg outstretched to try and swipe her that way. She was a little busy to notice the igloo that had cropped up in the room.

Quin scrambled back and tried to retreat before attacking again but managed to run smack into the ice fortress keeping her from avoiding Vel's attack. With a growl the ghoul turned. " Arel, ye blockhead, why ye be tryin' ta make the gym inta an icebox?" That was all the words she offered the hiding boil before she turned back to her opponent. With a beaming smile she strolled back toward Vel. " So sorry fer da interruption." And that's when Quin lunged forward to pin Vel snapping teeth looking to bite down on any ounce of flesh she could manage. "No worries. I know you know better than to keep me waiting."
Vel gave out a shrill trill of sorts as Quin came right after her, biting numerous times. Opening her own jaws wide, she lunged out to try and chomp down onto the vampire's shoulder in return.

Quin had just started to pull back only managing to get a n** from Vel as her jaws snapped shut. "Ah, lookin' ta return da favor." Quin grinned wide wiping her mouth. "Ya'd bettah be sure I wouldn' keep ya waitin', Vel."
Without warning the vampire leaped toward Vel this time throwing a punch toward the ghoul's chest.

Smirking, Vel hissed as she took another hit. She wasn't going to do much good on the ground here. Getting back up to her feet, she lashed out with he hands, aiming to rack Quin across her own chest.
"You were always a good rival, Quin. You always know just how to knock someone around the block!"

Shrugging it off the ghoul turned back toward Vel and with a battle cry that would make her ancestors proud threw a hard haymaker right for Vel's face.

Hell help her, Malcolm was so precious. She didn't want to like the a*****e, but he didn't even understand what turned on meant. He was so ripe for corruption. Aaaah, but those terrible thoughts were distracting her. She felt the whack of his staff - and then thought about the innuendo and laughed, out loud, quite suddenly.
"HEY!" She roared out after he spoke to one ghoul, then another, as if he was losing interest in her already. She stumbled back up and charging him again. "Quit it, you're mine right now!"

Vel gave a shrill laugh at Quin's choice of words there.
"Oh I'm sure you have," she grinned before taking quite the fist to the face. It actually stunned the raptor momentarily. It wasn't long enough to really warrant a free hit on her part though. Shaking her head, she continued to smirk at her opponent. She was feeling the wear right now, but she wasn't stopping yet.
Reaching out, she went to grab Quin by the shoulders before jumping up and slamming both her raptor feet into her torso.

There was bursting his bubble - see: once impenetrable ice fortress and then there was pretty much setting it up in fire and throwing caution to every single Jacking wind in existence.
Now Arel, had, for all intents and purposes since he was a strapping - if he didn't say so himself - first year, tried his very best to accept Byrn with all acknowledgement that Byrn was a jacking combustible phoenix. As he said, good intentions, they had shared a homework textbook, he might have even offered her some silver pumpkin seeds for cafeteria food, but the straw on the Arpakasso's back was really when she literally melted him and sent him as three and a half buckets of slopping water into the infirmary for three weeks. No, no no, back up, maybe it was the time that she forgot her textbook and melted him by simply sitting next to him which ended up with him in the infirmary as three and a half buckets of slopping water for a week. Wait, back up further, maybe it was because of the time they first had Gym practice and she had no qualms melting him and sending him into the infirmary as three and a half buckets of slopping water for a week.
Do not want.
This was probably one of the few reasons he kept Cricket and Red around, because they for the better part, when they were not feeling overly sadistic, and when they needed to copy off his homework answers, would usually not let him end up in the infirmary as a three and a half buckets of slopping water for a week. If it wasn't so painfully horrible, it might have actually been tradition, and Arel was absolutely trying his very hardest to graduate not as a puddle of water.
"Byrn!" If there was a reason that the ice demon was currently huddled behind his two best friends with disregard for everything else happening, she would be it. He didn't really need a reason to be excused from the gym for a week. Or from graduating.
Step one: try to distract your enemies.
"I thought you caught on fire and died again."
Jackdamnit. Him and his big mouth.

"MAY GET OFF THE JACKING FLOOR."
He winced at the hit, and then swung his staff at Bella, knocking her on the head before taking several steps back, "I don't understand what you want me to quit!"
Ghouls are crazy, and frustrating.

One second, Arel was like DON'T TOUCH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, the next, Cricket was being turned into a sheild. Sigh. She seemed to be used to it by that point in time, though, just crossing her arms and giving Byrn a look that said 'He said it, not me'. Not that she moved from that spot - how was she and Red supposed to launch him later if he was three and a half buckets of slopping water for a week?
Never the less, Cricket took one end of Arel's obscenely long scarf and began to wrap it around her neck. What did that mean? It meant the Ice Demon was pretty much going to be stuck with her for a while unless he wanted to brave some bugs and/or strangling Cricket - who was currently in between him and a Phoenix. Would that do much to help? Probably not.
But it did mean she'd be dragging Arel around for a while even after the fiasco was over.
She passed a look to Red after that. "Think he's going to end up in buckets?" she inquired. They could always still test that food coloring theory out if so....

She could ignore the taunts and jeers about how out of place she was in their gym class- she jacking knew how much she didn't want to be here after all- but Malcolm's shout had simply trained her to take his orders. It was like a dog clicker. She just did it.
She was up on her feet in less than a second, shouting, "I'm up I'm up oh Jack please don't I'm upppp."
It was now that Carafe decided to make his appearance, slithering mischievously, weaving through the moving feet of all the fighting students. He made his way over to Byrn and began curling around her feet. Car wasn't quite sure who this new person was, but he already loved her.
May noticed her familiar and ran over to Byrn, starting to tug him off. "CARAFE! No! Bad snake!" She looked up at Byrn sympathetically and said, "Augh I'm really sorry, he just likes people a little too much!"
Carafe just hissed happily in reply, still attempting to wrap himself around Byrn's legs.

While she would not admit this out loud, she felt a certain amount of sadistic humor at the fact Arel would call her by her last name. Not enough backbone in him to call her Pyre... then again that might be due to she could melt that very backbone away if she stood far too close. She recalled the event with the Textbook too, and the lunch money, oh and the cleaning duties... What would Arel think of being the source of the water buckets they used to mop the floors with? Hmmm.... And then Arel had to spoil her wonderful thoughts. "Oh Arel.." She clucked her tongue at him, shaking her head, approaching just a LITTLE bit closer. The warmth around her body seemed to escalate, as it always would with her emotions. She was a literal embodiment of 'temper flaring'. "You should know by now that the only reason you would 'make me die' is if somehow you melted right above me." She smiled at the boil around the face of Cricket, whom was now standing in front of her prey. "Cricket do you ever tire of carrying him around? Do you and Red share the pales...take turns who carries two full buckets?" The appearance of the snake did cause the ghoul to break her train of thought of the trio though, eyes losing contact with Cricket and staring in to the depths of the serpents. A knowing smile, she leaned over and patted the head of the creature gently. Critters she understood and felt at peace with, Students? ******** no. "Nothing to be concerned about." She said over her shoulder, not bothering to look up at May as she picked up the other students familiar and let him settle on her shoulders. Had this happened before? Probably. She scratched under the snakes chin with a long nail on her index finger just now noticing the bow and drawing her eyebrows together at it. Ick.
