Kalypso didn't know what was going on. She pressed herself in the corner and watched everyone but her mind was on the ceiling. She didn't want the ceiling to fall down on her and the others. She had to think about the ceiling and nothing else. She didn't want to think about the other things going on right now.

She wished she could use her magic. She patted herself down trying to feel for her flute. She didn't have it with her. She didn't want what happedned at the ball to happen again. She didn't want to look helpless in front of everyone while everyone else did something to help and rescue themselves. She just wanted to help and be an asset to everyone. But she couldn't think of a thing to do to help.

She needed some kind of comfort right now. She reached out and took Uaithine's hand and squeezed.

When Kian spoke to him of killing the other, he simply shook his head. He could never bring himself to take a life... But he turned to follow the man. It was better to travel in numbers of course. "I cannot figure out which way the children are. There are too many spirits, living and dead. I can't decipher among them." He explained, feeling slightly useless. But he pointed ahead of them with his staff. "I do, however, sense a strong cluster of sp-"

Why was the ground shaking?

Cassiel's eyes widened slightly as he listened to the sounds around him. The cracking of cement came before the giving way from above. Not good. Not good at all. Without a second thought he reached forward to grab a fistful of Kian's clothing to yank him backwards. A chunk of the ceiling crashed to the floor where the witch eater once stood. But they weren't out of danger yet. He didn't have to tell the other two the roof was caving in. It was quite obvious by the large chunks of plaster falling from above! Every shake of the castle released another piece of the ceiling and the three were in a dangerous game of dodgeball. Raising his hands, a defensive shield was created long enough to prevent an injury to himself before it fizzled out. "We have to move."

Not wanting to stand there, he looked at Kian and Aeronwen (who I assume still tagged along) for a moment before he took off running. It was quite the obstacle course as he jumped over fallen chunks of the ceiling and dodged others. But standing still was far worse than moving. He needed to find somewhere safe!

With another quake of the ground, Cassiel heard the roof directly above him splinter and fall. He had no time to properly defend! A panicked mine drove him to slide between a wall and a large chunk of debris. It was just enough to save him, yet trap him among the rubble. 'Great' he thought to himself, squinting into the dust. The dust alone made it hard to see, but the left lens of his glasses took a hit when he fell and shattered. 'Now I gotta get out of here. I hope the other two managed to reach safety... at least the rumbling stopped.'

Cedar was waiting for the first move to be made, before she pushed them forward but the first move wasn't what she thought. The creature who was a whirl wind from his prison was so fast he bypassed the Black Heart. That single move was what shifted everything. She wasn't able to even process the blur he left and the next thing she knew she was stumbling to the left and fell hard into the bars of the cage.

She winced from the impact of the bars before she realized the dull throbbing pain that started on her left fore arm and along the nook of her shoulder and neck on the right side. Sliding her olive eyes she saw the deep gashing, and raised her other hand to feel the skin along her neck that was already swelling and starting to pucker. It stung and she quickly pulled her hand away. And by that point the Black Heart at already grabbed Mia, the mononoke that had been standing right behind her. She had received the blunt force of the Creatures attack. And the Black Hearts voice was screaming at them to leave.

Not even able to catch her breath, she didn't see Uaithne's injured arm, thought wasn't there anymore. Instinctively she reached with her good arm behind Uaithne and Kaylpso to grab Athir's shirt dragging him to his feet. Uaithne seemed to have his wits and was taking care of her young witch friend, and Athir was the closet to her reach. He could very well have been in the process of leaving himself, so she just gave him an extra push... In the right direction. Heaving herself off the bars she surprised herself when she stumbled forward, weak kneed. It felt like hours had passed but it had only been moments.

She wasn't even sure if she still had a grip on Athir's shirt as she fled from the cage toward the stairs.

Aeronwen glowered at Kian, not sure she appreciated the smile he gave her. Part of her wanted to turn back and forget this whole thing, but she was far too curious now. So she followed him, smirking softly. She would have killed the woman, as well. Stopping when Kian does, she let her eyes stare straight ahead though she shifted her doll to look up at him.

With a small smirk, she lifted her hand and shot a slightly glowing string of magic to wrap around Kian's wrist. Closing her fingers around the string, she tugged it a little and pulled his wrist forward. "I make puppets," she said simply before letting go of the string, the magic dissolving and letting Kian's arm fall back.

Kian at first was taken by surprise. His blue eye widening, looking at his arm as she manipulated it. She made puppets? Oh this was excellent! He could really use someone like her around! Not to mention, she was very easy on the eyes... "How interesting you are, Aero." If she didn't like him shortening her name, he wouldn't bat the smallest of eyelashes. He continued walking down the dark sewers, hearing the fight from behind and the footsteps of someone else. His body relaxed when he saw it was just the man from before.

Kian listened to the man with the purple hair. His floating eye hovered around the staff as he pointed, but jerked back to Kian's shoulder when the ground shook. He pulled Aero, not really caring if she would protest or not as they followed the other. The cavern was falling in?! 's**t...I left Aodhan to be a ******** warrior zombie back there. He won't fight a crumbling cavern.' Yet he didn't go back. If Aodhan died, he died. It was that simple. Kian wouldn't change it.

Once they made it to sturdier ground, he looked around, noticing that the man they were just with was no longer with them. He could have used him... Damn.

"Come on, Aero. We've got to find a way out of this place." He walked about the sewers, cursing as he saw bars and paths that lead to nowhere. "I guess I shouldn't have left the man with the maps to die..." he said, mostly to himself but he was sure she heard him as well.

He took another turn. Finding a ladder and a manhole. "Oh, it seems I spoke too soon."

Narrowing her eyes, she growled a bit at the nickname, but didn't bother saying anything since she assumed (correctly it would turn out) that he didn't care if she didn't like her new nickname. Ugh. This man was so very...irritating and yet she couldn't keep herself from following him. Damn him for piquing her curiousity at every turn!

She didn't even bother to glance at the man with the purple hair, instead twitching her doll to see him. However, this movement turned her vision from Kian who surprised her by pulling her forward. "Hey!" she called, nearly tripping before gaining her balance again and following him once more.

Moments before Kian stopped and announced that he had spoken too soon, Aeronwen caught a whiff of fresh air. "A manhole," she murmured. "How very lucky."

The blonde man just pouted adorably (or annoyingly) at Miusa. "You just love taking away all my fun." He muttered with a dramatic sigh, eying the boy and snorting. His lucky day. Not so much for Remiel. "A fencepost, you say? Sounds kind of kinky~" Of course he would still retain his perverted mind during a battle. It was just one of his many skills. Or he was just an expert multitasker. And judging by the sly curl to his lips, he wasn't taking Miusa any more seriously than usual. And was still lost in Gutterland.

Except for when she made such an impossible to pass up offer.

One eyebrow rose slowly to regard the smaller woman next to him. "Well then. I shall just have to give you my word that I shall not harm any of your young ones." He gave her a quick flash of a sexy grin before his expression flickered to something more dangerous. Almost feral. The Reapers and Blackhearts around them were not given the same extension of 'non-Remiel torture'.

However the moment he heard Her, the witch eater's entire body froze. Eyes widening in shock. And just as quickly, they narrowed to slits, fists clenching and a low growl emitting from him.

He knew her. Yet...didn't know her. The similarities were there. But the differences were stark in comparison. At least in his mind. It only took him a few moments to dig up the name.

Runa.

Remiel didn't let his eyes drift away from where Runa stood. He heard - and partially saw - Miusa fall to her knees. His features darkened, the playful man disappearing under something...else. Anyone that may have been close to their location might have felt an odd sensation of being afraid. Like being lost in the woods. Which shattered as soon as the witch eater found himself being knocked to his a** by...actually he wasn't sure what it had been.

".....the <********>" He snarled, jumping to his feet. And had front row seats to witness the smack-down being dealt to Miusa. And Remiel was not happy.

With a feral snarl, the witch eater ran towards Miusa, dodging around anyone and anything that got in his way. He slowed to a stop next to his white lily, all signs of the perverted an humorous man gone. Crouching, Remiel brushed the back of his fingers along Miusa's cheek. We are all we have, you and I and Sariel. And his white lily was laying there broken. Injured. Oh heeeeell no!

"Forgive me...darling." He murmured before carefully picking up Miusa and cradling the woman in his arms. Oh how sweet her scent was! Moving slowly, he turned to look back at Runa. Letting her watch, Remiel dropped his guise, black angelic wings fluttering out behind him. "...you b***h." He whispered in a growl.

Remiel also couldn't help inhaling deeply the scents of all those delicious witch hearts he could easily grasp surrounding them. If only Runa had a heart equally as appealing....

----------------

She bit her lip and thwacked her scythe against someone stupid enough to get within striking distance. Shaden wanted to trust in Sibelius. Really, she did. There were too few people she truly trusted in some way and both men had seemed decent to her. So far. But I do trust Cruor. For the most part anyways. Shaden sighed - which was really more an annoyed huff of air - accepting what the dragon behind her said. "I trust you." The Reaper muttered, with a slight emphasis on the last word.

With a curse, she danced aside and around an Ars, weaving through bodies towards the idiots destroying the wall. She didn't care so much about the damage done, but she did care about the kids! Or, well, one of them. At least all the fighting was giving her anger and out!

She'd just barely arrived to the hole in the wall, fist connecting with the nearest person, followed by strands of shadows shooting from the ground to knock another off their feet when the ground shook. Shaden stumbled and used her scythe as a brace. Cyan eyes narrowed and looked around. No. It wasn't just the ground shaking. It was the whole damn castle!

"What the hell is going on?" The Reaper directed the question towards a few running dark shapes. But she didn't get much of a response. Then her mind caught back up with her. Athir!

Twisting on her heel and taking off back through those fighting, Shaden tried to find the quickest way down. That didn't involve a broken leg or two. "Damnit!" Just what was going on here? She felt confused about the whole ordeal. Conflicted because Athir was trapped here. So, in her frustration, she swung her scythe with a growl and took out a poor pillar.

Everything seemed to be moving too quickly, and Theron found himself uncomfortable with the whole situation. The problem with being on the lookout for trouble all the time, though, was that he never knew when he was being over-cautious, and when there was actually something to be paranoid about. He didn't trust anyone in the castle -- they were all there for the same reason, but that didn't necessarily mean they were all there for each other, and he knew better than to take anyone's agenda at face value.

The revelation that there really was a reason to be wary of majin, witch eater or not, was an uncomfortable one. As paranoid as he was, he didn't like having his concerns substantiated, especially when it was worse than anything he'd thought of previously.

Then there was no more time to think, only the crash of uninvited Ars Lilium and Cerberus Knights upstairs. He trailed at the back of the group, hesitating to actually engage anyone in combat. True, they were attacking the home of the Blackhearts and Reapers, without even stopping to ask first -- but then, if he'd been in their position, he probably would've done the same thing. He picked off combatants at the edge of the fighting, keeping his claws blunted and aiming to knock them out rather than do any real damage. If things went on like this, then they'd probably wind up at a stalemate, with both sides limping away and no answers for anyone.

But the shaking promptly put thoughts of fighting out of his head. He tensed, gaze darting around as he tried to figure out the source. It was too big an effect for it to be magic alone, he thought, but if things kept going, the whole castle would come down on their heads. A purple-haired Reaper passed him, heading back towards the cells, and he amended that thought -- their heads, and those of the young witches below. If they died, then they'd really have a mess on their hands. "Wait!" he called after Shaden. "Are you going for the captives? Sibelius will probably get them out, but they'll need a clear path once they're up here." So would everyone else, for that matter.

The scene before him had been horrific... the crazed man attacking so viciously, it made his stomach clench uneasily as his hands raised to cover his mouth. What... in the world?! Thankfully the reaper seemed to have things under control.... once he was able to catch up mentally like the rest of them. The girl who'd been so animalistacally attacked needed some medical care, that much was true. But it didn't seem like he'd be able to offer his assistance.. they had to go. Now. With a sudden tug to his shirt, stumbling awkwardly from the force, he was on his feet sooner than he had prepared to be. Glancing along those who were fleeing, he naturally made sure everyone made it out ok before he went on, scaling up the stairs while finally working off the binding to his wrists.

But it just lead to a long corridor, that was quite dim now, and the sound of crumbling and giving foundation echoed in the air heavily. Athir's eyes darted about sporadically, uncertain of even where to go! Which was the way out?

Trailing right behind Kian and some girl, Monet easily dodged the falling debris, with graceful movements that had been trained since a young age. Tail helping in maneuvering easier as well, it lashed about, and flicked to balance out his long strides and leaps. He'd made it out of the chaos so far.... Watching as Kian and the girl began to find a more plausible way to get further down to where the children were kept, he noticed that... a party member was missing. He just briefly recalled there having been another man with them. Frowning slightly, he looked behind them, back at the pair continuing downwards, before backtracking. It was at the tilted debris that had fallen that he saw the exorcism, brows raising in surprise. "Looks like you got yourself in quite the predicament." hand lifting, water drew up from the ground, and began to slink into the pile of stone. The good thing about water was that it could get into any nook or cranny, no problem. Forcing its way into all the cracks and openings, it began to grow a sudden surge, pushing back the rock that had trapped the other man. It held the power of a rushing stream, or geyser. Clearing away as much as possible, safely, Monet offered a hand to his fellow comrade, still some stone remaining around his legs. But the water created a sort of barrier, so that the fallen debris wasn't pressing directly against the purple haired gent, "Let's get goin' yeah?" he grinned, still maintaining his light-hearted demeanor.

Cassiel's mind was slightly dazed from the situation. He could have died, but through luck and quick thinking he managed to get himself pinned under the debris. Before he could attempt to magically get himself out, he heard something familiar... footsteps. And they were getting closer! He craned his neck a bit and managed to see feet standing near by. He had no idea if it was an enemy or friend, but that question was soon answered as the man came to his rescue.

"T-thank you." Cassiel muttered from under the rock as the debris was pushed away. Once he was able to free himself he slid from out and stood with the stranger's help. He took a brief moment to dust himself off as he tried to retain some sort of regal look. There really was no use to it though as most of the dust remained on his clothing thanks to the water. "I'm still a bit shaken, so I wasn't sure how I was going to get out. I'm lucky you came along when you did." He finally looked up at the other, his glasses crooked upon his face with the lens fractured. It was almost adorable in a catastrophic sort of way.

"I wanted to tell that other man before the castle began to shake that the children are moving... but I've lost my senses. I don't know where they are now." He admitted as his eyes fell to the ground, searching for his staff. "They almost seemed like they were getting closer." He continued to explain, retrieving his staff from the ground. When he looked back up at Monet, he smiled softly. "But yes, let's get going." He gestured for Monet to lead the way as he really had no idea which way to go anymore.

This was definitely not a part of the plan.

Sibelius gritted his teeth as a large chunk of rubble smashed from the ceiling, into his shoulder as he arched to brace over the young girl he held tightly in his arms. <********," he growled, ignoring the dull pain that began to pulse. The walls around them were shaking as if from tremors deep within the earth, bits of the castle's weaker spots crashing around him and the captives he was now attempting to heard up the stairs and out.

"Hold on just a bit, girl." he muttered to Mia. Sibelius was strong, a tank in the battle field, but he simply had no talent when it came to non-melee magical arts, including healing. The best healing magic he could do was to magically produce a lint-covered bandaid he had forgotten he stuck in his pocket.

The real plan, the plan behind it all, had been to abduct impressionable kids like these, and strike fear of Majin, rightful fear, into their hearts with news of the 'infection', and showing an infected man, who was really a man who became monstrous after having a recovered witch's heart forced inside him. They then were to feign research or healing, and release them, unscathed. The plan was meant to plant deeper the seed of fear, using this fear to isolate majin from humans, so better to monitor them, and keep 'accidental witch eaters' from being birthed.

They had anticipated an uprising, but something else felt simply...wrong. It was Runa's power, something unforeseen had made her snap, made his master reckless and beyond angry.

This, he knew, was a very, very dangerous place to be.

A pillar shook and shattered, crumbling in the way of their exist, trapping he and the captives on the stairwell, the sounds of the infected man coming closer from below. Somehow, the ghoulish creation was still thriving, still hungry, ready to prey upon young hearts...

_____

The taste of copper consumed all taste in her mouth, and the world was like looking through a blurry telescope, everything dark, rimmed with fading black, sparks igniting. There was a gentle touch of fingers brushing across her cheek, and Remiel over her uttering words she couldn't make out, for the ringing in her ears. She felt the earth parting from her body, still trying to make sense of everything as her equilibrium began to come back to her.

Was she in Remiel's arms? Any other day, she'd have promptly scowled and batted away at the coquettish man, but at the moment, she didn't feel that she had the energy or the will to do so. Being in his arms was somehow reassuring, even if they were the arms of a monster.

Regardless of the pain, joy was in her heart, waging a fierce war with suffering. Runa was alive. The girl she had grown up with, her most precious friend, the one she still thought of daily, hundreds of years later...she was alive! And yet...she wasn't. This woman raging in front of them, she had the same form as Runa, the same voice, the same colorless, yet beautiful eyes, and still... She was someone else, a Runa who loathed Miusa, who wanted her to suffer and die, and worst of all, she still believed that Miusa had betrayed her.

How had she gotten so strong? In these seemingly endless years, all they had was time, yes..but Runa had always been talented, but had always been the less-physical of the two. Runa, who had such beautiful creation magic that far triumphed anything Miusa could do with it. She could regenerate any flesh on any person, isolate their ailment and abolish it. Miusa..could only manipulate, beckon, and break things.

(If you're underground, this post affects you!! OAO)

Runa snarled in disgust as the Witch Eater...no, Spiritus, in front of her shielded Miusa, cradling her into his arms as if he felt some form of affection or care for her. A cruel, harsh laugh escaped her lips. "You're as pathetic as the ragdoll in your arms, witch eater." she spat. "In Poena Privus, There will be no filthy..." she swung her scythe in front of her, tremors piercing into the air in all directions. "....Disgusting...." She continued her erratic movements of the weapon, until slamming it down harshly, the earth splitting in all directions from where the blade stabbed, rubble rising into the air. "...WITCH EATERS."

Runa's magic pulsated into the ground, causing it to tremble, to shift and to rip apart, the earth all around rising into the air, taking those who were caught in the fray with it skyward. Blackheart, reaper, knight or child, it didn't matter to Runa anymore what she was doing, who was harmed, or who saw this monstrous power, the power of one with endless hearts.

Her reason came back to her, her personality simmered and she pointed an accusing finger at Remiel. "This is exactly why we do your job, or rather, the job you cannot do, knights." she turned her gaze upon those pulled from beneath the earth, covered in dirt and rubble, injured at least somehow, for certain. "You brought with you not just a Witch Eater, but a Spiritus. You held the hand of your unraveling and you couldnt' even realize....You couldn't even see that the sage who trained you sympathizes with their wretched bilk. Just because you let your doom in by the front door does not mean I will allow it in mine!"

Cruor's attention was fixed on the man before him, his hands flexing on the hilt of his sword. At Shaden's words he glanced back at her, eyes hooding a little before he gave a quick, curt nod; he was glad someone trusted him. When he looked back to the Cerberus Knight before him it was just in time to twist out of the way of a massive chunk of stone, knocking the others aside with a small wince. One got through, glancing through a small gap in the armor, drawing blood and making his eyes narrow; he couldn't continue to not fight back if he was going to survive...

...Unless he was too busy avoiding being crushed by the ceiling collapsing down on both of them. He swore, shoving his back against one of the seemingly more stable walls, though it wasn't fast enough to avoid being struck in the leg by a rather sizable piece of stone, the piece rocking backwards as it settled, worsening the injury. Cruor grit his teeth, glancing back at where the Cerberus Knight had been; had he been hit as well? Was he taking advantage of the moment and fleeing? Was he using it to try and deliver a finishing blow?

It was difficult to focus on such things when it felt like his leg was slowly being ripped in two, his armor dented and digging into flesh. Part of him recognized that he should mourn his damaged armor but the other was wondering if he would be able to make it out of the tunnels with an injured leg. Swallowing he braced against the wall, lifting his other leg with a grunt and pressing it against the piece of stone that currently pinned his leg to the wall, pushing with a bit of magic enhanced strength. After a few painful, straining moments he managed to shoved it just enough that he could pry his leg loose... But it wouldn't hold weight; either it was broken or the muscles were severely damaged... Maybe both.

Suddenly that was the least of his concerns as the ceiling ripped open and he was suddenly hurled into the air with an alarmed gasp, his eyes wide as he twisted, feeling helpless. He turned his head to stare down at the scene that was unfolding, his mind barely registering that Runa was the cause of this through the pain. When he did, however, his blood turned to ice in his veins, his eyes widening. Why would she...?

Shaking his head he closed his eyes and began to focus on something he hadn't done in quite some time. Currently with his injury he was worthless, thus he had to become something that wouldn't be phased by an injury of one of its limbs and, due to his birth, he could do just that. It felt good when the magic for the transformation rolled though him, his size increasing, wings unfurling; those would be handy if he was dropped, but for now he twisted his reptilian head, seeking Shaden in the chaos; if they were dropped, he wanted to make her his priority. Nevermind that she'd be able to recognize him easily in this form; it was hard to miss a floating dragon.

--------------

Everything happened so quickly. One moment he was fighting off Reapers and, the next, their leader was before them, giving him a moment to catch his breath. He was bleeding from a number of cuts and there were some visible burns on his cheeks, but he wasn't in bad shape, all things considered. However when the woman before him attacked, it seemed that everything went south very quickly.

One moment Miusa was standing and the next she was on the grown, blood speckling her lips. Immediately he moved to go to her side, but Remiel beat him to it, causing him to relax slightly. Well, he relaxed until he saw the wings unfurl from the other man's back, his blue eyes widening. This wasn't even just a Witch Eater that was before him, this was something but more powerful and it made him swallow nervously as he glanced between the two powers.

Pushing aside his shock and fear Kailash's eyes narrowed and he approached the two, doing his best to keep steady and not look at the woman that was causing all the destruction around them. Once he he reached the side of the man holding Miusa he held his arms out, palms, up, his gesture peaceful as he sheathed his glaive; he couldn't focus on what Remiel was at the moment, only on saving who he could for the moment.

"She needs healing." he offered softly; he knew some healing, enough to perhaps keep Miusa alive for now until a stronger healer came. "I will be of little use in this battle, I fear, but let me help get her to safety and protect her if I can."

It was very possible that Remiel's response would be less than pleasant, possibly violent and painful, but he was a knight, he protected others. If there was any way in which Kailash could offer assistance, could be of aide to anyone, he would do so in a heartbeat. Besides, currently, he was the only one of their attacking force that seemed to be left on the surface, was one of the only ones that wasn't currently hovering in the air above the ensuing calamity, so he needed to do something.

The whole ordeal was easily reminding the young witch of what had happened not that long ago... when the reaper at the ball had suddenly acted out seemingly randomly. There was nothing but chaos and confusion, amplified when the ground he was standing on was suddenly uprooted and lifted upwards. Gray eyes widening in disbelief, he struggled to keep his footing, weight shifting back and forth to try and balance, but he eventually took to a knee as that seemed to be the more stable. As they were reared up the the surface where the top level battle was going on, rubble rained sporadically onto Athir, causing him to wince a few times as he was pelted on the back , head ducking to protect it as best as possible.

Peeking up to Sibelius, he called out to the reaper, "Allow me to care for the girl! I can help heal her wound." he was no fighter, and the man who'd been instructed to watch over them was built like a truck! His hands would be more useful for battle and protecting, not carrying an injured person.

His usual sweet smile danced along his lips, tail swaying this way and that as he inspected the exorcism. What a curious get up! And even more interesting ears. But his own were rather interesting too! The Lilum Ars vivid eyes leveled with the others, a soft exhale of what was the beginnings of a chuckle sounding. Boldly, he stepped forward to gingerly lift the damaged glasses off of the pale face, "You poor thing~ These can be such a pain to replace." he pouted lightly, in a playful manner, before folding the broken spectacles, and just as boldly slipping them into one of the other mans pants pockets, "Here, try my own. They're not that strong, but maybe they'll help you better than yours in their current condition?" reaching into a very, small pocket in his very short shorts, the mononoke revealed his own pair, and placed them right onto Cassiel's nose. Adjusting them just so, "I'm sure we'll find the children. There are so many of us, after all. We can't be too far away!" he assured with a calm collected voice, gently smoothing some of that purple hair out of the other mans vision. "there. How's that?" he asked. Of course every set of eyes was different, but this was the best that he could supply for the time being!

Any sort of answer might have been cut off, however, as the ground beneath them shook. Tail curving about to try and maintain balance, Monet lightly took Cassiel's arm for a means of stability, and just so the other gent wouldn't topple over either. He flinched as bits of rock and stone dropped on him, as they were suddenly ascending up. Lifting an arm, he tried to whip a stream of water, used from the portion he'd borrowed when helping the exorcism, to smack away some of the inferior objects. "My gosh!" he grunted, tail bracing the grounding behind him to stay upright.

As they had all burst through the door into the long dimly lit corridor. Cedar instantly felt the connect with her magic and it was a revitalizing feeling her. She felt like she could be more helpful now, and it was just in the nick of time. When the ceiling from above came down there was no way through.

"I.. I can move the rocks." She stuttered lightly to the others, the pain from the gouges the witch eater left was really starting throb, the blood still trickled long her skin. It would be hard to concentrate. Her eyes looked around for Lea or Xerxes. They knew her magic and would protect her body. But she hadn't seen them, maybe they had gotten put in with another group, but she didn't feel them nearby so they must have gotten out. Leaving herself open like that was certainly scary. She placed her hand on the wall but before she was even able to start everything began to shake. Something big was happening above them.

"It-It'll take me a few minutes. If there's anyone else that can help with..." She wasn't able to finish her sentance. She was hoping some of the others could help with moving smaller debris, or anything... She looked at Mia and she swallowed hard. Arthir was offering her what he could do, but she might die if they don't hurry. The creature was still behind them. She briskly waved to Uaithne and she whispered horsely to him to make sure her body was undisturbed. What was scarier? The creature or leaving her body?

Gladly dropping to the ground, it felt like a burden had been removed. She felt aweful... How did that other girl feel? Her eyes dulled out as her soul split and half of it slipped into the wall and then into the debris that had blocked their path. It might have looked easy as it started to slowly shift. Unbalanced rubble fell and blocked the path. Cedar worked as hard and as fast as she could but this was always tough. Inch by inch things began to move. It would only be moments before someone might be able to squueze through but she was tiring out.

Her body laid lifeless propped up against the wall unfazed.

Mia was struggling to keep her eyes open, that floaty feeling fast overtaking her and her senses. She jerked slightly when Sibelius took the hit from the ceiling debris, vaguely registering it as the sudden jolt sent a small fissure of pain through her wounds, waking her up slightly. The witchling wondered in a haze how badly that had hurt the man above her. Had anyone else taken that hit, it seemed as if they'd certainly be much worse for wear than the Blackheart currently doing his best to alleviate all the chaos swirling around them. The young mononoke looked at Sibelius foggily, understanding his words after a moment. Twisting slightly, she wrapped her arms around the shoulder she was leaning against and tried to hold on.

At that moment, her motion brought her sharply back into the present as pain exploded in her wounds. Gasping slightly and gritting her teeth, Mia, now fully awake, held on harder to Sibelius, digging her fingers into his shoulder slightly against the intense pain that was now worsening with all the shaking and jolting the building around them was doing. She was certainly alert now, but in excruciating pain from the part of her chest that had been almost completely ripped open. She had no idea how much she was bleeding at this point, and wasn't sure if she should look or not, but then her attention was distracted as the pillar crumbled, trapping them in the stairwell. Yet then with another rumble, some of the witches and witchlings were thrown around again, scattering slightly, while an inhuman growling came up from below them, telling the girl that the thing that attacked her before was still alive and looking for the captives. Whatever was happening had officially degenerated into utter pandemonium and it seemed as if no one was controlling the situation any longer.

Mia looked over as Athir called out that he could heal her. The girl thought it maybe would help her a little, but she doubted the witch could heal all the deep injuries on her body completely. At the same time, with the ravenous bastardized witch coming towards them, the girl was also afraid what might happen to her should she be without her current rescuer and too weak to use her magic. Yet without his help, the rest of her fellow captives would be at great risk, especially Cedar, who was now unresponsive on the floor, her consciousness apparently in the midst of a spell to clear the rubble in front of them. Glancing up at Sibelius, Mia, whose breathing was labored, simply said,
"Unless you have a plan...you'll have to...put me down anyway...to keep that thing away...if it comes up here." She gave him a minuscule shrug that was probably also something of a wince and a tight, pained smile. The decision was up to him on what he would do, though, as she had decided to trust Sibelius. For all his intimidation, he hadn't let her die at that creature's hands, after all, and he seemed intent on getting them all out of there alive. Mia was choosing to believe in that for now, for her own sanity and because she felt there was no other option, so hopefully he knew what he was doing.
