Alfina listed lazily through the desert city's streets, dressed in bare, loose, and fairly revealing clothes to keep the bulk of her skin open for the breeze to carry her heat away. She had recently returned from retrieving water from the well outside the city and was trying to find someplace quiet to relax. She leaned against a wall under a bridge so she was in the shade. She looked over to see the gate into town to her left and the bazaar to her right. She was tempted to go and get more water for herself, but she also needed groceries and a new gem for her collection. She loved collecting cheap gems and was frequently seen combing merchant stalls for new ones to purchase.
She slumped against the wall, exhausted and planning on sitting down for a while to rest before moving on.

The woman took a sip of the water and swallowed before speaking. "This is true my love." She smiled and kissed him lightly after entering the shade. It was a nice reprieve from the heat, which oddly enough was preferred over cold temperatures she knew. " Please, I am happy to come along it is a chance to know the land and people. I enjoy it more when I see how happy you are about it."

That moment a gentle smile formed on her face and she hugged him gently. "I am positive that many people will come to your city. You are kind and will be loved by everyone there. I just know it." She added drawing back ever so slightly to look up at him. She loved his enthusiasm and will to do great, it rubbed off on her somewhat. She was set on helping him to reach his goal as well.

He blushed. "Thanks Zorrie." he said pulling her into a kiss. 'Zorrie' was a nickname he gave her, because sometimes her name was hard to pronounce. The shade felt good and he was glad to have bring her along. Cuddling up to her Dash stared deeply into her eyes. "Maybe after we get home...we can try..f-for a baby.." he said blushing a bit. Having a child wasn't something he normally thought about. Heck for the first month they were together they fought over that very thought.

"I-I know that sounds odd coming from me but..I've been thinking lately." he smiled. "I know how much you want a big family honey.." Pulling away he blushed.

Standing he lifted his hand up to her. "We'd better go, I can cuddle you all I want to in the safety of an Inn later." He winked.

Zorya smiled at Dash as he said the nickname he had given to her. It was special and dear to her, mostly because it was something only he could call her. The smile changed into a light smirk as she nipped his lip when the kiss broke and she listened attentively to his question. Zorya's eyes seemed to light up against the suns own light at the mention of it. "Really? We may?" She failed at her attempt to hide the happiness she felt.

"If you truly want on I have no protest to it." She added and nuzzled his neck lightly before he stood up. She took his hand and stood nodding at the comment to reach the town. It would be nice to see civilization if only for an hour. After all living a life imprisoned for the majority of it left her wanting to see the outside world. "Yes, lets go so we aren't stuck traveling in the dark."

They reached the town. Bustling with activity people everywhere were haggling for good deals on spices, jewelry, rugs, clothing, and about anything else people could get their hands on. Buying her an apple Dash smiled warmly handing it to her.

"Before when we were first engaged I really felt like Father was forcing me to have children. That's why I didn't want to have any when you had begged me to." He sait to her softly as they walked. "Yet now I feel like it's the right thing. Maybe if we're lucky we can have twins or triplets or something Zorrie." he smiiled gently patting her flat belly.

Getting a room in the Inn, Dash made sure to get one of the luxurious ones. When they entered it was like their own private paradise. The sun was setting slowly as he looked at the busy city from the balcony. Happy to have his cloak back he leaned on the railing comfortably looking at the busy people slowly closing up and winding down. "Tomorrow we'll go out and explore the town better. How does that sound Honey?" he called back to her.

Zorya smiled as he spoke about future children while they made their way through the bustling town. Her eyes were visibly showing a happiness that words simply could not express at that moment even if they wanted to. She was simply happy to be with someone she loved and out of her confining prison in her homelands. She couldn't really ask for more at this point.

She stayed back in the room for a moment as Dash made his way to the balcony. Taking a moment she watched him as he relaxed and spoke about exploring the city the next day. It would be fun she had no doubts about that. After she made her way to the balcony, Zorya wrapped her arms around her husband lovingly. "I would love to do that," she paused and released her gentle hug slipping around to his side so that she could lean on the railing. "I will be happy so long as I am by your side."

"Me too.." he said wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close into a side hug. "I love you Zorya Venimian..." he cooed to her happily. The night grew cool as crickets began to sing their own harmonies. Dash shivered a bit. Pulling her inside he began to kiss her sweetly. "Goodnight my love..I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to see your sweet face." he said blushing slightly.

Alfina spent the rest of the day storing up water for later. She knew that the water jugs at home were starting to dry up, so she knew she would run out soon if she didn't get more for later. "Gods... Sometimes I wish something great could happen here. It would be wonderful to see something exciting happen here..." She mused aloud. She loved when things were exciting in life, but lately there had been little to none of that for a while now. She sighe as she fell asleep, dreaming of adventures of all kinds.
She woke the next day and left the house wearing a similar outfit to the one she had yesterday. As she walked out, she stretched out and began making her way to the town square. She hoped to earn a little more coin today before heading to the market.

Face the Darkness within
(Appearance) User Image
Username: Face the Darkness Within
Name: Alfina Jensighn
Age: 18 (and just recently turned so)
Husband: ???
Biography: just a girl that you could meet almost anywhere, except she's obviously beautiful. However, she is unaware of just how good looking she is. She knows that she turns heads, but she doesn't realize just how many and how often. She is occasionally air headed and a bit ditzy, but usually acts calmly, kindly, and talks warmly with people around her. She never talks about her past, though. She hates people who try to pressure something out of her too, so expect a few slaps in the face for making actual efforts.
(The catch to this one is that you have to fight for her. She's available to any prince who wants to take a shot at her, so any of you could end up claiming her. I may even add a twist to this story (with author's permission of course sweatdrop ) so that multiple princes could fall for her. In any case, whoever claims her will be a very lucky man.)

Well I like the idea. Approved.

Malik nodded. He guess maybe he was a little too harass, but if he could produce the first son then he had a fighting chance for the throne. He wanted to make his ruby a queen. "I'll let you wonder from time to time once you are pregnant, but only with guards escorting you. I wouldn't want anything to happen to my Ruby or child." He told her. He at least loosen his rulings on her movement. "You must sleep with me everyday until you are pregnant." He ordered her. Malik was a gruff husband, but he had a duty within him and he couldn't do it alone, he needed act more like a general.

There was a knock on the door which moved Malik from rubbing his wife once again. He took a good look at her face before he flipped himself onto her. Part of his actions was pinning her down and giving her a passionate kiss. "I must go. I have more work to do apparently. Curse my father for letting me spend of little time with you." He told his wife. He then got up and walked out of the room. It seemed like he had to go patrolling. A message was waiting announcing that his brother was probably traveling the area and to make sure that he was fine.

Malik was soon on his horse going around the town that he watched over. His horse was a fine white creature that would make anyone trader jealous. He traveled through the market and into a settlement area. As he turned his horse almost hit into a woman. Malik was more quick thinking on a horse than he was with his first wife and turned the horse back with enough time. "You. It's better to be noisy when walking and keep your eyes open less you are stomped on by my horse." He warned her.

Asalah watched her husband go and remembered his kiss as he left. It was short, brief. She wished he could have stayed but the kingdom of Assadaran was always busy. Plus, if his brothers called him Malik's work had to be improtant.

Asalah sat up and snapped her fingers. A young servant came into the room a brown skinned boy no older than twelve with awful black dreadlocks. She looked at him and ordered, "Get me a fresh cup of water I'm thirsty and a bit tired."

"Should I get you medicine too Princess Asalah." the boy asked.

"No, just bring me water." she told him again

The boy left and when he was gone Asalah rose from her bed and walked over to a desk in her room. "Perhaps I should put together a shopping list and find out if Malik would like to come with me? If I do he'll certainly be doing princely duties and enjoying his time with me." She smiled at her clever plan and picked up a quill sitting in an ink jar on their oak desk.

"Let's see..." she thought as she tapped her cheek with her other hand. "Milk, we need milk, but not just any milk camel's milk. It's rich and if Malik wants strong and healthy babies we're going to need to prepare for them. We'll also need more blankets and rugs too to make sure the room is warm and clean and looks nice."

At that moment the boy returned with her water and his gently lifted it off a serving plate he carried and sipped it. "This is good water boy. Please tell the guards at the door to take a break for now. I'll be heading out soon I think." The boy nodded and did so and the guards left.

After composing some more thoughts she wrote them down and grabbed her list from the desk, returning everything where it needed to be. Then she left the palace and grabbed a horse from one of the stable boys.

"I'll be out for a while..." she told him, "Malik will be upset if I'm attacked or anything happens to me, so have a guard or two follow me on my rounds to the market. I intend to go shopping, but I don't want them seen with me."

With that she kicked the sides of her horse and rode off in the same direction as Malik had. She of course didn't know he was there. Yet she went there anyway because she needed to.

Alfina, lost in her own thoughts only just stumbled back in time to avoid being trampled by a beautiful white horse and its noble rider. She quickly stepped further back, babbling apologies. "I'm so sorry my lord. I was lost in my own thoughts and hadn't noticed you. I'm terribly sorry, please forgive me." She cried, bowing a few times to emphasize it.

Malik looked at the woman before narrowing his eyes on her. He hated being royal for one reason. Everyone and their mother felt like they owned him something. All they owned him was taxes and thankfulness for keeping the kingdom safe. In war the general and the men were no different. "Rise. If you bow to me again for no reason I will send you to the dungeons to do some thinking." He told the woman before turning his horse around. He was going to use the main street to get to his location. He rode slowly so he didn't hit people.

Several on lookers started to mumble to himself. "That's Prince Malik. I heard he is really cruel." One person mumbled. "I heard that his wife is punished for every little thing she does and they've only been married for a week." commented another. "He sure is handsome." commented a street girl.

While Prince Malik focused his attention on Alfina Aslah rode into town on a brown mare. Two guards trailed behind her and she halted her steed when she saw the crowd and heard the crowd's words. "What is going on here?" she asked her two guards.

"It appears your husband is giving out some justice to the townsfolk my lady." one of the guards told her." Asalah flicked the reins lightly and spurred her horse onwards towards the crowd.

She shouted, "Move aside! I, the future Queen Asalah, command it!" When some of the crowd heard this they did so very slowly when they realized that Asalah, princess and wife of Malik spoke. Aslah weaved her horse through these people who did and found herself looking at a young woman bowing before Prince Malik and his fine white horse. She turned to her husband and said, "What is this dear? You said you were on a nice patrol of the kingdom today and I find you doing this, doling out unnecessary justice?"

Alfina blushed in embarrassment and decided to shut up. She was surprised to see a woman crying out something and heading towards them. She decided to start slowly backing away from it all. Normally she didn't mind being the center of attention, but things like this she preferred to be away from. She tried to sneak away from the two nobles that we're probably going to do something to her she wouldn't like.
