Just girls? Nizumi hoped Momma was just saying that for Grihm's sake. When he apologized to Anissa, she sighed and smiled. "Brother, you're going to be a pawfull for your big sisters, aren't you?"
Then she heard the word 'powers'.
"Pow... Alchemy?" They could use alchemy? Eyes wide, Zumi looked at her Daddy. "Daddy... how? What do we do? What do you do? Can you show us?"

 It hadn't seemed like that long ago Maricela, his own daughter, had announced Edward Elric to be her mate. He didn't quit like that man, but he promised to make his daughter happy and to protect her. That's all he could really ask for. Perhaps a little check up was in order. Dark Link was good at tracking, so he followed Mari's scent and... Seen her with three kits?! Oh, and Edward. His glowing red eyes flashed as he jumped out from the bush he was hiding in.
"WHY didn't you TELL me about this?!"
Maricela jumped up in surprise. "F-f-f-FATHER?!" She took a few deep breaths to calm herself. "W-well, uh... It.. Uh... I was going too---" she sighed heavily. "Anissa, Nizumi, Grihm... This is your grandfather, Dark Link. Your other grandfather, Evan, isn't here right now, it would seem." She sat back down, looking at the ground.
Anissa was filled with joy upon hearing she would be able to have epic powers! But then... Dark Link startled her. She squeaked and jumped. "We have granddaddies?! SWEET!" it didn't even register in her mind that they had TWO grandaddies from ONE side.

Edward turned quickly at the sound of Dark Links voice and jumped up, ready to growl, but he did understand why he wouldn't be too happy.
Grihm, looked at his mother, how she cowered in her fathers presence. That pissed him off, his mom was the most important person in his life. He cuddled with his mom. He looked back at his grandfather and felt the darkness coming from him, it was hypnotizing. He must get close with this Dark Link, even if he scared his mom, he still had to know this guy.

Nizumi flinched back when a scary Zune burst from the bushes. Upon introduction she padded up to her Granddaddy, sat down in front of him, and looked up at him with her big golden eyes, head tilted as if curious. Her tail wagged slowly.
"Hi."

"Hm...?" He looked down at his granddaughter that had approached him, and he sighed. It's not that he wasn't happy to be a grandfather. It was that Maricela hadn't told him, nor had she really been with Edward THAT long, as far as he knows. But oh well, they were family. Deep down, he loved them all. But his cold exterior hid that. Only when Evan was around, his coldness melted away. But without Evan around... Haha.
"Hello there..." Dark Link looked to his daughter who then told him the kits name, looking back to Nizumi. "...Nizumi." His wolf like tail flicked back and forth.
Maricela nuzzled her son lovingly. "Oh father... If only you would lighten up a bit. I mean, they ARE part of your family after all." Despite the recent scare she had had, Mari let out a very content sigh, knowing no one would be harmed.
Anissa was confused. VERY. Confused. Was this guy good? Or bad? Quickly, she ran to her father and tried jumping on his back. "Daddy...!" she failed to do so and slipped off, falling on her back with a 'thud'. "OOF!"

Edward quickly scooped up his lil girl and cuddled her. "You okay Ani? He then ruffled her hair. She had helped him relax. He kept quiet from saying anything to his father in law.
Grihm, could feel the darkness strongly coming off his grandpa. Did this mean they were alike? He picked up a peble and through it at Dark links head, to see what would happen. He stared at Dark Link. O_O

Nizumi simply blinked... What was he doing here? Why did he make Momma jump like she did? Why did he feel... dark? He looked dark... But looks could be deceiving.
Nizumi didn't think this was the case, though, when she really thought about it. Grihm got his looks from Momma, who got her looks from Granddaddy Link, who seemed to have the same air about him as Grihm. And all three had glowy eyes. Which she had to admit, she envied.
A soft flick behind her alerted her that her brother was up to no good, but she didn't have time to react before a pebble sailed over her head and straight at Granddaddy Link's.

Out of the corner of his eye, he seen the pebble headed straight for him. His head stayed in one place as his eyes continued to look at Nizumi. Dark Link's paw swiftly shot up to catch the pebble. He caught it with ease and adverted only his glowing eyes to look at it before dropping it to the ground.
"Silly child..." He directed this at Grihm without looking at him. "You couldn't hurt me even if you tried." With that, he turned to Maricela. "Congrats on having your own family, they're... Gorgeous. If any of them happen to what to spend quality time with me, you know where to send them, right?" Secretly, he hoped they would want to get to know him despite how much he had startled his daughter. Before leaving, Dark Link walked up to Maricela and gave her a fatherly hug before nuzzling her. "Love you." He then turned and wondered away to go find Evan.
"Love you too, Daddy." She waved as he went off.
"Yes, i'm okay~" She giggled as her daddy ruffled her hair. "...I WANNA PLAY A GAME!" Anissa randomly shouted after Dark Link left.

Edward put her down, clapped his hands and touched the grass, making a flower crown for his daughter. "What Kind of game?"
Grihm looked at him mom. "I wasn't trying to hurt him mom...." He looked sad that his expression of interest was taken as a threat. He plopped down looking sad, covering his eyes. He wasn't crying, he just didn't know why Dark Link didn't know he just wanted attention.
Edward noticed how his son was feeling, but there was nothing he could do, then looked back down at his lil girl.

Nizumi had seen every move of the older male, how he caught the pebble though his eyes never left her. She watched Granddaddy Link hug her Momma, then turn and walk away. For a second, she just sat there, tail wagging. Then, without warning, she darted after him.
Well, sort of.
He had disappeared so fast, and Nizumi couldn't tell which way he went. Frowning and pursing her lips, she sat down again, tail wagging slowly. After a moment she heard Daddy and Nissa, and padded back to join them. She'd caught a glimpse of Daddy's alchemy... Frowning again, she clapped her own paws and touched the grass...
...But of course nothing happened. "Daddy, show me!" Nizumi ran up and bumped her head affectionately against Edward's leg.

Edward smiled at his other daughter. "Sorry hun, you will never be able to do alchemy like that, you have to draw the right circles." He patted her softly.

Maricela walked over to her son, wrapping her tail around him. "There there Grihm. Your grandfather is a bit... Uh, strange. You see. Thanks to past events, he's always on guard and ready to kill. He even trained Eric, his first born son, how to fight with a sword and the like." She sighed, petting her sons head softly.
Anissa instantly had her attention on what her dad had done. What was that? OH! "Daddy, was that the powers we may have? Huh, huh, HUH?!" Her tail wagged happily, excitedly. "Yeah daddy, show us, TEACH US!" Nissa began running around Edward eagerly.

Grihm looked up at his mom and nodded, snuggling into her pats, he felt much better. "I want to learn how to fight with a sword too, and alchemy.....make my own sword!!" His tail wagged excitedly.
Edward laughed. "You will learn that, but through much research and hard hard work, and you will be able to." He clapped his hands and made a second crown for his daughter who ran up to him. "Now my two princesses have crowns." He smiled.

As much as she detested the thought of any of her kids fighting, she had to let them. It was their choice, and she couldn't do anything about it. She sighed lightly. "Maybe when you're older, you can talk to Grandpa Dark Link about teaching you, and even your Uncle Eric could help. But ONLY when you are an adult. Promise?" she nuzzles behind Grihms ear. "Dark Link would try to get you to do it as a kit, but for me... Only when your an adult? Please, for mommy?" She didn't want them to start fighting ans such TOO early, like Eric had.
Giggling at her sister, she wagged her tail. "Yay, Sis! Were princesses!" She climbed up on her dads back and sat regally, tail curled around her. "And this is my throne!"

Grihm looked up at his mom. "Momma, I won't learn to fight with a sword if you don't want me to, I'm sure that guy over there's magic will be enough to protect you. I just wanna protect you, I don't need a sword to protect you. But I feel this thing in me that i felt in Dark Link that I feel in myself, I wanna understand that, I promise I won't sword fight. I don't even like swords, well, they are cool, but there are other ways to fighting." He then looked at the other guy with a dead look in his eyes.
Edward looked at his son, his heart sank, He had just realized his son hates him....He shook his head and poked his daughter. "So I'm a thrown am I?" He picked her up and tossed her high into the air, he clapped his hands, touched the ground and a huge fluffy pillow to catch her on. "There, now you have a real one." He looked back at his son, his son was still looking at him, Edward smiled at him. Grihm just looked away. That broke his heart. "Well Grihm, if you want to learn to fight, I am kinda an expert, my brother Al and I used to practice and I learned from the best."
Grihm looked interested in the fighting, then looked at his mother. "I will learn to fight from that guy, I will just talk to Dark Link." He wasn't happy it would be that man teaching him, but at least when he get's good, he can really hurt that man.
