Hello all. I'm new here, courtesy of Leowen. I have a few ideas for ships, but I don't know how to post the pictures here. Also, this is the first time I've been on any kind of RP, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I'm supposed to be doing.

Ah, I've told Leowen to tell you how great your ship designs were. o_o But anyway, your ship designs are great. XD I like how neat the pictures look too. o_o I wish I can draw like that.. @_@

I'll have a few more later this week. I drew these 2 this weekend. I was watching Star Trek, so they're not very original.   I drew this one a while ago. It's a Valkyrie, but I didn't know it when I drew it. I saw it in one of my friend's books, and I tried to copy it. It had another cannon above the shoulder, but I took that off, because I thought it looked odd.

LoL. Check out this thread here.Industrial NexusThe Valkyrie was something I kinda helped Leowen with in his 3D Mech Designs. The Valkyrie here was originally something from the anime series, Macross, but since he found the 3D Model of it, we both figured tthat we can work with this for the mechs we have for sale there.

Yeah, Leowen showed me that. I have a couple of ideas, and I'd like to have my own Mech eventually, and a ship, too if I can manage it. Eh, for the moment I'll just keep trying to figure out how the rules work. I'm not exactly sure how to do the stats for mechs and ships, so I'm hesitant to post speed, firepower, armor/shields, etc. Is there a thread that contains stats for the ships and mechs that you guys already made?
I'm not sure how this new ship I'm drawing will look. It kind of looks like a coke bottle crossed with a pair of tongs, spliced to some tennis shoes. Eh, we'll see how it looks. I'm trying to do something that doesn't look too much like anything else, like Star Wars or Star Trek.

That's cool. o_o As for the technical stuff, such as stats for mechs and ships, you can always discuss them with me to come up with something.
Also, if you want to look at the stats for all pilots and units, you can check the Mech Battle System Sticky. It's inside a Java Program that I made, but it should be easy enough to tell what's what in it.

Okay. I'll take a look at it. Anyway, here are the two newest ships. The first is either a heavy battlecruiser or dreadnaught. Whatever it ends up being, I drew it with the intent of it being a very large capital ship. It has a lot of heavy plating on it, and massive engines. Probably not too fast, but with all that armor, I don't think it needs to be. I'm not sure I like having the bridge tower so exposed, so I might change it to be somewhere else. The right side is the front, by the way. The wierd looking part on the very front is meant to be a weapons array. Of what, I don't know, but its there. I like the second one better. I haven't detailed it as much, becuase I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm thinking of something in the cruiser class; fast, maneuverable, both well-armed and armored. Kind of an all-around ship. I need to decide where to put the bridge and weapons emplacements. I wanted to put arrays on the "fins" and then more on the bow. I'm going to draw a front and top elevation for that one, maybe a 3/4 front view, if I feel like it. I figure that if I can give Leowen a side, front, and top view, he can 3D model it.

o_o I remember there was a ship that looked something like that in Escape Velocity Override. I think it was the Turncoat or something..
Anyway, here's a ship that I found.




o_o I'm thinking this suits Arc's style in his ship.. but it's not the Azure Thunder. The Azure Thunder that Arc has is a middle classed capital ship, that's good in combat as well as for cargo transports. Unfortunately, not too big cargo space for any major, bulk transports though.

Hmm. Never heard of "escape velocity override". Eh. I was thinking of making those ships pure combat vessels, with the only storage space being reserved for supplies. I'll draw an armed transport based off what I already have, and see what it looks like.
That's an interesting fighter. Looks solidly built, but not too maneuverable. High firepower, average speed, kind of like a B-wing. Is anyone currently using that particular ship, or is it just an image you found? Because I'm thinking that it would make an interesting frigate/destroyer if it was bigger, and the cockpit was replaced with a bridge...
Is it possible to create one of my ships? The first one, that Leowen showed you. I've been thinking and I have some ideas for stats. I'm not sure exactly how to do that (build the ship) in the RP, though.

Well, now would be good. It's this ship:  I was thinking that it's a battlecruiser. FTL and sublight capability. Fairly quick, too. I was thinking faster than a heavy cruiser, but not quite as fast as a destroyer. Two FTL engines (Warp, hyperdrive, slipstream, quantum vortex, subspace folding, whatever you guys use; but they look an awful lot like warp nacelles). 4 ion jet drives for sublight propulsion, too. If you've ever played any "X-wing" games, then think of the flank speed as 120 MGLT, which I think is about as fast as an x-wing going full out. Crew...maybe 500 crew, 20 officers, with the total number it could carry being 600, so a little extra space. Good weapons arcs, because of all the turrets and arrays. The wierd black/white alternating section on the back is a hanger bay. I'd like it to have fighter and mech capability, just a few. Maybe 5 spaces that could hold either 1 fighter or 1 mech. Weaponry...well, this is where I'm unsure. This particular ship began as a Star Destroyer, but then I put things that look like warp nacelles on it, and it kind of became something else, so the weapons are very un-original. The bold lines around the front, along the top and bottom, and along the hull were supposed to be phaser arrays...but I don't know if those are allowed. Something similar would work, I guess...I could always just put more turrets if arrays won't work. There's a photon torpedo launcher on the bridge tower...but that can easily just become a generic torpedo launcher. If I can't have antimatter, I was thinking plasma would work for that one. The turrets could be energy weapons or ballistic, I'd prefer laser cannons if possible. Maybe a modular system where the turrets could be either ballistic or laser? Hmm...actually, if I could have particle projection cannons(PPC's), that would be great. Defenses...hmm...well, I'd like energy and particle shields. I was thinking a normal shield that protects the entire ship, with secondary screens for vital areas, like the bridge, propulsion systems, the airlocks, the hangar bay and doors, and maybe even the forward weapons array. As far as armor is concered, it should have some plate armor on the hull. Maybe a light-weght alloy that is thin, but very dense and impact-, damage-, and heat-resistant. If you'll allow it, I'd also like to have ablative armor that can deploy over the hull when needed, and then retract. It could either be physical armor that slides out of sections on the hull, or projected from something. I got the idea from a Star Trek episode, where Voyager gets some really cool armor that works really well. I found a partial image, the armor isn't fully deployed in the shot that I got: Before:  After (kind of):  Well, you can decide on that. I wouldn't want it to be exactly like that armor (it was dang near indestructible), but just a little more protection. Maybe the ship could choose to deploy it, but at the expense of some speed and maneuverability?

A lot of those are more likely acceptable. o_o' I might want to check with perhaps Guilliam, Leowen, and Partisus on them though.
Btw, do you have AIM by any chance? We can try setting up a chat to get all this done at a faster pace.
Also, there were points that might have a high standard really, which I would try avoiding at this point, until later on in the story or something. Like.. have some scientists study these advanced technology now, and once it's ready for actual testing, a prototype can be made or something. Something along those lines, instead of just having a super tank from the beginning. o_o' .. Unless you're working for the government or something. LoL.
