Sasar accepted the scrap of fabric and wrapped it carefully around the splint. tying the ends off tightly. It didn't look like it had broken the skin, hopefully she would be lucky enough to make off with a fracture. The healers could deal with it better in the morning. Till then he now had to look out for her and Kazzisk as well as himself. He was none too pleased about that.

Sasar turned about, leaving her to scan the woods while he returned to Tyrisks side. The wher had had time to calm down though his temper was anything but sweet. Sasar grudgingly admitted a newfound respect for the beasts. Up close they were vastly different from what he'd expected. "Hold still." He began untangling Tyrisk from the next, being careful to not damage it anymore than needful. He would need to use it again before the night was over.

Tyrisk sniffed the air, his head fixed in one direction. He'd caught a scent.

"Tyrisk's onto something." His words were almost a breath as he gestured Careesi over to his side. He stared intently into the trees in the direction Tyrisk was facing but could see nothing. Had they not scared the wher away? Or was it drawn to the sound of fighting and the smell of spilt ichor.

Yes the wher had deffinately picked up on the smell of blood from the kill. He didn't wait for direction from Sasar but hunkered down and began to slowly stalk forward. His bulk hiding anything that might have been visible from Sasar's view.

"Be ready." He prepared the net in his hands again. At least his partner had the foresight to choose the rope. He hadn't stuck around to see what the other woman had taken, nor which direction she'd gone. If Careesi didn't know what to do with the rope when the time came Sasar could take over and do it himself.

Just as Tyrisk appeared to have caught the scent of something, so too did Kazzisk. Immediately, the large blue wher joined the brown, still leaving a little bit of space between the two so as not to crowd the other. Careesi was immediately on her guard at Sasar's and the whers' warning. Had they finally found the feral wher? She certainly hoped that they had. Tonight hadn't gone terribly well so far and the woman wasn't looking forward to extending their mission any longer. The sooner that they had the feral wher the better.

Making sure that she was prepared for whatever might happen next, Careesi brought the rope into her good hand. She tied it up into a bit of a lasso, hoping that she would still be able to throw it if she needed to. "As ready as I'll ever be." She whispered under her breath.

As the two whers pressed forwards toward their quarry, Careesi fumbled with the rope. It took her what felt like ages, but eventually she managed to get it into the correct loop that she needed. Blast this arm of hers! The pain didn't bother her, but having only one good arm was going to be a problem. Even if she did have Sasar to help now, Careesi didn't like to be a burden on anyone, and she didn't exactly trust him to keep her alive. Not that she didn't think would leave her or anything, she just didn't trust anyone but herself with keeping her alive. It was always better that way. At least Sasar appeared to be capable. She could only hope that in this case appearances were not deceiving.

With her lasso in hand, Careesi focused her attention back to the advancing whers. They were getting closer to their quarry now and she needed to be as alert as she possibly could be. Always only a few steps behind Kazzisk and ready for anything that they might discover.

Sasar kept an eye on her even as they followed the stalking whers. A lasso? Did she really think she was going to be able to restrain a wild wher as one did a herdbeast? He didn't comment on it but he wondered why they'd sent her out here rather than giving her something less reckless to test her.

At least Tyrisk wasn't sending him on a sharding wherry chase again. Unless Kazzisk was in on it too. He'd skin those scorching beasts if they played another trick on him. His ears rang with the silence, the only sounds be could here were the crunching of their own feet, the brushing of leaves on hide and the soft thump of the weights against his leg as he walked.

The figure didn't move as they advanced. Instead, it reared up, the wings flaring and a mighty bellow shattered the quiet. The feral wher had the uphill advantage and it knew it, the starlight played across its hide revealing a bronze had been preying upon the livestock... and the reason no one had been able to stop it. A large beast, all muscle and ferocity, the bronze was more then a match for any hunting party.

It roared its challenge again, having been drawn by the battle cries of the partnered whers and driven to protect its territory. A heartbeat later, the feral bronze charged at Sasar's brown, flashing teeth and talons.

===
SPECIAL EVENT:
You've found the feral wher! That's good but now it's trying to kill you which isn't so good.

Sasar/Tyrisk: roll 1d10 with your posts. Rolling well means whatever action you take is done well, be it counter-charging or dodging the attacks because the bronze is fixated (currently) on your brown and will continue to attack. If you counter-charge, your subsequent rolls are for the locked combat.

Weighted Net Special Ability - Successful use of this item causes the Feral Wher to miss a turn due to stun/crowd-control. Success is determined by a hit.

Careesi/Kazzisk: roll 1d10 with your posts. Rolling well means whatever action you take is done well, be it circling up hill or attacking.

Rope Special Ability - It is strong, used in the training of whers and dragons alike and can withstand one use. Successful use of this item causes the Feral Wher to automatically fail one action. Success is determined by a hit.

A hit is an even roll, a miss is an odd roll. 10 is a crit and worth 1.5x the wher's damage. A 1 is a botch and your wher takes 4 damage.

Feral bronze attacks deal 10 damage. Tyrisk's attacks deal 8 damage. Kazzisk deals 6 damage. Human fists deal 1 damage.

Tyrisk's HP is 45, Kazzisk's HP is 40, and the Feral Bronze's HP is 60. Human HP is 20. **If a wher's HP reaches 0, it dies. If a human's HP reaches zero, you're knocked unconcious and playing 'dead'**

The roll in this post is the quality and hit/miss roll for the bronze's opening attack

Feel free to play the bronze's actions. It will remain fixated on the brown until I say otherwise, however.

A Bronze! Shards and Shells he was a big one too! Sasar gave his brown a slap on the tail. Time to put that rage to it's proper use! "Go!" He let out a piercing whistle. This time he was not crying wolf...or wher as the case may be.

Tyrisk charged towards the bronze. It looked like he was going to go in head on as he'd done with Kazzisk. Instead he displayed a bit of brain power and feinted to the side at the last moment. His claws missed the Bronzes hide but so too did the feral beast miss him.

As they passed each other Tyrisk dug his claws into the earth and turned himself around. He leapt quickly trying to angle in at the bronze's hindquarters. The feral wher was faster, sideswiping Tyrisk with his massive tail. Tyrisk went sprawling into the trees, snarling as his wing caught on a branch. Ichor trickled from the punctured membrane. The bronze had drawn first blood.

Sasar held onto his net. This battle had only just begun and judging by the size of the feral bronze, it wouldn't take him down as easily as it had done Tyrisk. He needed to be knocked about first.

Careesi took a sharp breath as she spotted the bronze. This was certainly going to be lot more work than she had initially though. Glancing over to Sasar she was certainly glad that she had the man with her. Without him there was no way Careesi would have stood a chance against the wher with just Kazzisk. She was also quite grateful that the blue was larger than most, she certainly hoped that it would help them.

As the feral wher began to make its way towards Tyrisk, Careesi signaled the blue to follow her. Perhaps if they could come in at a bit of a different angle they might be able to get a good attack in. Careesi tried to move as quickly as she could without drawing the feral wher's attention. Carefully, she began to circle around behind the wher.

In her hurry to get behind the wher before being noticed, Careesi tripped over a rather large rock that had been hidden beneath a pile of leaves. As the woman fell she instinctively put out both of her arms to catch herself, forgetting her already injured arm. As soon as her left hand hit the earth she let out a scream that she tried to suppress. At the sound of her scream the wher turned its eyes to her for a moment. It appeared that for now it was still going to focus on the brown wher, but she was no longer undetected either.

Knowing that she could no longer sneak up behind the feral wher, Careesi began to stand up, discovering that her ankle felt a bit weak. Curses! Why did she have to become so clusmy all of a sudden? Perhaps it was the pressure of her task, however that was unacceptable. She needed to be able to perform anything without fail. Breaking every bone in her body was not a good way to start things off. Careesi grit her teeth and tried not to focus on the pain of her arm or her ankle. It didn't appear that her ankle was actually damaged, but she may have made her arm worse.

Quickly bringing her mind back to the situation at hand, Careesi decided that now was as good a time as any to have Kazzisk join the fray. She hadn't made it very far but at least the distance would give Kazzisk a little bit of a different angle than Tyrisk. "Go on." She shouted to Kazzisk, urging the wher into battle. Immediately the blue shot off after the bronze, eager to join the pair. He leaped towards the feral wher, claws at the ready.

Careesi followed Kazzisk as close to the battle as she dared. She didn't want to end up in the middle of the fray, not as injured as she was. Besides, what good could she do anyway? Keeping her eyes on the whers, Careesi watched their every move, waiting for an opportunity to use her rope. However, it still seemed to early to use it. She would wait until the time was right, let the wher tire out a little bit first. The weaker the wher was the easier it would be to use her lasso.

Kazzisk joined the fray, leaping on the wher and landing a small blow with its claws. It hadn't been much of a hit, but he had made contact. Moving just out of reach, Kazzisk attempted to get behind the wher while it appeared to be distracted with the brown. One more the blue wher moved in again, claws out lunging.

Tyrisk took the bronze's distraction as an opportunity to get himself righted. He saw Kazzisk moving behind the large wher and hissed, drawing it's attention back to himself. Tyrisk lunged for the bronzes chest, his jaws spread wide as they went for the throat.

Sasar saw Careesi trip but didn't move to help her. The woman would be of no use to him. Her arm was already broken and she was obviously horribly clumsy. She probably wouldn't have been able to use the rope with two whole arms. No He'd have to be the one to take this beast down. At least her blue was in the fray now. So long as he didn't get himself tore up they might have a chance. Sasar didn't bank on the Bronze Handler arriving in time to help them.

Tyrisk was NOT having an easy time of this fight. His straight forward head on tactics were too easy for the Bronze to see through. Tyrisk was once again thrown aside as if he were nothing, earning himself a fresh tracing of claw marks on his chest for his efforts.

The brown was proving to be frustratingly energetic, flailing about at him like some mewling hatchling. Roaring his defiance, he reared up and attempted to slam his weight into the brown, claws out. The vicious hit connected to send Tyrisk reeling while the brown turned his attention to the blue who'd leaped at him from behind.

With a snarl, the bronze began circling with the hearty blue, intent on tearing out his throat instead.

Back along the brown's initial path, the bronze wherhandler and his wher looked on. The pair were having trouble... but they'd only just begun. Ordered to intervene only if they needed it, he continued to observe with an sigh.

Ouch! Tyrisk, take 15 damage

Tyrisk was injured, that was painfully obvious. The Brown was no match for the enormous bronze. Sasar ground his teeth together trying to think of what he could possibly do to fix this situation. The Bronzehander still hadn't shown up and Sasar was convinced the man either couldn't hear them or didn't care. Seeing as this was their test he would probably just let them flounder out here with beasts they'd never worked with let alone bonded with.

Tyrisk gave a shriek as he was thrown aside. His back slammed into a thick tree trunk and there was a snapping sound from his wings. Ichor dripped from multiple points where the bronze's claws had punctured his thick hide.

Tyrisk limped as he tried to circle behind the Bronze, glad for the moment to let Kazzisk feel the brunt of his rage. As injured beasts often proved though, Tyrisk was more deadly now than before. He lunged at the bronze's side, landing a vicious blow with his teeth on the unprotected underbelly.
