~*~*~ Mzimu RPs ~*~*~~*~ Zizima, Mzimu and Isilahi ~*~~Masamune~ "I'm telling you old timer, you need help!" The sound of shouting could be heard clearly over the crashing of the waves against the rocks that lined the shore. Zizima had come to this particular beach to get some peace and quiet, as it was one of the more secluded beaches, that could only be reached by coming down a cliff on a rather dangerous path. What he found however, was a severe headache."Watch your language!" The shouting continued, as it turned out that the large grey and white lion was arguing with someone. Mzimu snarled and slowly got to his feet, with a certain amount of difficulty. It was easy to tell that he was old, just by the way he spoke, but the way he struggled to move at times only confirmed it. It was also easy to tell, upon closer inspection, that he was blind.Zizima growled and clawed at the sand with one of his front paws in frustration. He had found the old lion in a cave by the beach, and there was no way he could bring himself to leave him, despite the fact that he didn't care about anyone's well-being. Frowning, he glared at Mzimu. "How do you hunt if you can't see?"Mzimu let out a loud snort. "My eyes may not work, but my nose and my ears do! I've been doin' everything for myself since before you were born, and I did it all without my eyes." He was looking directly at Zizima, despite his lack of vision. Over the years, his other senses had become super-sensitive, to make up for his blindness. The half-Firekin was quite impressed by the old lion's determination, but still, he couldn't just leave him like this. "Fine, if you don't want to come with me, at least let me go catch you something decent. I love fish as much as the next lion, but you can't live on that forever." Not even waiting for an answer, Zizima ran off, remembering that he had spotted a heard of zebra just in-land from the beach. He would have to climb back up the cliff and then drag the body back down again, but he would worry about that later."I told you, I don't need your help!" The old Ela was clearly very independant, and sounded almost furious as he called after Zizima. Sighing heavily as he heard the other lion's footsteps go out of hearing range, he flopped back down into a lying position, his mint-blue eyes looking out of the sea. He could only imagine what it looked like. Amy D A sole figure graced the savannah, a thick air of loneliness hanging all around her. This poor lioness had been in a funk for days now, and something in her gut told her that it must mean something. And she was right. Yesterday marked the day her sister had drowned, so many years ago in her homeland. She was oblivious to this of course. Lions didn't exactly carry calendars or diaries. But she ached all over and felt so markedly different that she chose to avoid as much contact as possible. Isilahi hated to make a bad impression, and anyone meeting her now would think her a miserable creature indeed.
Her stagnant mood had made her senses numb, and it wasn't until a brisk and sudden breeze whooshed into her face that she realised she had strayed far from the wide open plains. She was now closer to the coastline. And that meant closer to...water.
For a brief moment, Isilahi revelled in the gentle breeze. It was glorious, and so wonderfully fresh and cool. Then, as her eyes opened and wakened her to the real world, she saw the sea. A vast, gurggling nightmare, flooded with her sister's haunting eyes. She began to hyperventilate, eyes widening in total terror.
And then she saw it. A prone mass on the beach below.
"Oh my God!" she screeched, almost as if she had been taken back in time.
With speed she didn't think she could summon, she hugged the plain's edge until she found a way down, hopping gracefully from crag to crag as she descended the cliff face. That final jump she landed with a girly 'oof' and then raced over to Mzimu.
~Masamune~ Mzimu's ears twitched and rolled backwards as he heard a very distressed voice, followed by the sound of rocks crumbling and dirt crunching underneath a set of heavy paws. Although he couldn't quite make out what the voice had said, it didn't take him long to figure out that the owner of the voice was making their way towards him.
With a low growl in his throat, he rolled on to his stomach and heaved himself up into a standing position. Still growling, he turned to face the direction from which the voice had come from. Just as he turned, a loud thud came to his attention, which was followed by the sound of sprinting paws, struggling to move quickly in the sand.
"Who goes there?" He roared, bearing an old but complete set of fangs. Unfortunatly, he greeted everyone with such tact. Amy D It moved! The dark blurry mass she had spied from the cliff-top, thinking it to be a poor drowned soul, actually stood to its feet and even had the strength to roar a warning.
Isilahi came to a sudden halt, lashing up sand as her tail swished about. She breathed an audible sigh of relief, and even chuckled slightly at her own foolishness.
"Oh...you're alright...I-I thought...well...nevermind," she shrugged off the ending, preferring not to reveal her silly little fears to a total stranger.
~Masamune~ The frown on Mzimu's face softened as he realised that it was a female that had been approaching, and she had only done so out of concern. It wasn't a concern that he welcomed though. "Of course I'm alright!" He was quite sure that the female wasn't aware that he was blind, but even so, he always rejected any concern or sympathy that was ever directed at him, and this time was no different.
After deciding that the female wasn't a threat, he slowly turned back towards the sea and flopped down once more. He wasn't as young as he used to be, so he didn't see the point in standing up for the sake of idle chatter. Hopefully, the female would just leave him in peace. Amy D Isilahi was rather taken aback at the grumpy lion's response. She was just trying to help, and it wasn't her fault that her eyes deceived her...or was it her mind? Maybe...she wanted to see a drowned lion, or a near-drowned lion, a second chance to save a life...but she'd never know the answer to these silent questions. They didn't plague her for long.
"I was only trying to help...I thought you might have...drowned," she struggled to say.
She circled the old male, wishing to talk to a face rather than a backside. Only upon seeing his weathered face did she realise he was blind. Those milky white orbs told no lies. ~Masamune~ The large lion scoffed, roughly shaking out his mane as he did so. "Me? Drown? You must be joking!" For an old beast, although his body language didn't show it very well, his legs were all quite muscular. Unknown to the female, Mzimu spent just about as much time in water as he did on land. He couldn't swim quite as fast anymore, but he could still catch himself a fish or two. His independance was quite remarkable, especially with his disability.
Of course, none of this was known to the lioness, which was one thing Mzimu always seemed to forget when meeting others for the first time. He automatically assumed that they were going to pity him, and he didn't want any of that. His ears rolled round on his head as they followed her footsteps, until she was stood in front of him. He frowned slightly, his gaze not moving a single inch. Amy D Isilahi was still fixed upon his apparent disability, although some part of her questioned just how blind he was. If he could swim, as his comment would suggest, then surely he wasn't totally blind. She felt silly for even thinking about what she did next, especially since it was a little insensitive.
She waved a paw in front of his face.
His eyes didn't seem to follow the movement, as was automatic of most lions who could see. But maybe he was just a sage old actor.
~Masamune~ Although Mzimu couldn't see the female's paw, he could feel the ever so slight breeze that it caused as it passed his face a couple of times. His muzzle curled back in a deep scowl, revealing a set of slightly yellowing fangs. "Didn't your parents ever teach you to respect your elders?"
Still scowling, his head perked up a little as he caught a familiar scent on the air, which soon caused his scowl to deepen. "Great, here comes the other one." He muttered, glancing in the direction from where the scent had blown in.Zizima wasn't yet in sight, as he carefully but forcefully made his way down the cliff, with what looked like a baby zebra clutched in his mouth. By his standards, it was no more than a snack, but he figured that anything would make a better meal than a fish for the cranky old geezer he had found.
When he reached the bottom, he glanced towards where he had left Mzimu, immediatly spotting the female as he did so. She didn't seem to be a threat though, from that distance anyway, so he took his time making his way over.
"I hope you appreciate this old timer." He muttered after dropping the zebra carcass at the old lion's side. Having done that, he barely gave the female a second glance as he sat himself down to clean the blood off his front paws. Considering the severe amount of scars on his back, one wouldn't think that the very large lion was interested in personal appearence. Amy D Isilahi grimaced, and immediately recoiled into herself, feeling rather ashamed of her actions. The fact she had been caught by the elder lion made things worse. In her moment of reflection, the other male wasn't noticed by her until he had come right by her side and plopped the baby zebra onto the sand.
It gave her a slight start, and she only hoped he hadn't noticed. She was about to scold the large male, but thought better of it considering his size and his physical 'medals' of battle.
She remained silent in the presence of Zizima and forgot all sense of propriety. She just stared at him for the longest time, soaking in any and all details of his physical being. And then she looked toward Mzimu. Were they related? ~Masamune~ A deep growl radiated in Mzimu's throat. He would've lashed out at the younger male, if not for the presense of the female. "I told you, I don't want your charity." He managed to utter through gritted teeth.
The one and only reason he had travelled to the coast was to get away from all those that felt sorry for him. Yet even here, he found himself being treated as if he were a cub, who was incapable of feeding himself.Zizima rolled his eyes, and glanced at the female, just in time to see her staring at him. He frowned lightly, but continued to lick his left paw until it was clean, before he lowered it. "Are you a friend of his?" He said, motioning towards Mzimu. He was hoping she was, as it meant he could leave the ungrateful old beast without feeling bad about it. Amy D Isilahi was still trying to figure out the scene that played before her somewhat naive eyes. There was a definite bitterness between the two males - the elder, for being treated like a baby, and the younger, for feeling obliged to help the old lion. At least thats what it looked like.
"Hmmm?" he concentration was broken. Only when his question had rolled around her head a few more times did she react with surprise. "Ummm...no, aren't you?"
~Masamune~ "Does it look like we are?" Zizima replied, a hint of frustration mixed in with his already deep and negative-sounding tone of voice. "I only came down here for a bit of peace and quiet, and I found him." He again motioned towards the old lion, frowning lightly. "He won't even tell me his name."
The scarred lion got to his feet soon after, content now to leave the old lion in the care of the female, whether she wanted to or not. "No way I'm hanging around here." With that, he started to walk away."Coward." Mzimu looked over his shoulder, in the direction of where Zizima had gone. "You would leave this female here rather than finish what you started? Pathetic." The old lion shifted his weight and turned back towards the female. "My name is Mzimu."Zizima stopped dead in his tracks. The old lion's words didn't bother him in the slightest, but he was right that it was wrong to leave the female there to take care of the old guy herself. Growling at the conscience that hadn't been present for the majority of his life, he turned back. Amy D Isilahi was aghast at the large male's rude behaviour. She could almost expect it of the old male, considering his disability and how the younger generation treated him (including herself). But poor Isil. As much as she had wandered in her life, she had met few lions, hence why Zizima's brusque offended her so.
She was about to go after Zizima, not one to let a dispute just lie. But Mzimu interjected first, and shared her sentiments exactly.
"A pleasure to meet you Mzimu, I'm Isilahi," she replied politely, but with a hint of smugness that came only with the childishness of youth.
The old male had given her his name first time. She smirked in the direction of Zizima but was mildly surprised to see that he'd stopped in his tracks. And turned around. That smug smile disappeared quickly.
~Masamune~ "Zizima." That was all the brooding lion said as he walked back to the pair, stopping just ahead of them. So much for a peaceful day at the beach.Mzimu however, for the first time since meeting the younger lions, managed to crack a smile, albeit small. He was aware at how harsh he could be towards others at first, so he always tried his best to give them a break, if he thought they deserved it. Isilahi certainly did, despite her earlier actions. "So my dear, what brings you to this beach?"While Isilahi and Mzimu conversed, Zizma watched the two, commiting both their appearences to his rather large collection of memories. He had met many different creatures over the years, and in all that time, he had never settled and considered making friends of any of them. This time was no different. Amy D Isilahi flashed a brief smile at Zizima, almost coy in nature. Well, looks like the brute had a heart afterall. She then focused on Mzimu, and whislt she knew he didn't like to be treated like some vulnerable cub, it would take Isilahi a little while to overcome his blindness.
"I just wander around mostly, and I guess the winds brought me here," he answered as honestly as she could, since she didn't really know how she'd ended up at the beach.
~Masamune~ Mzimu nodded thoughtfully. "The wind will rarely lead you astray, so it's always a good idea to follow it. That's how I ended up here myself actually."Zizima raised a brow as he caught Isilahi's smile, but shook it off quickly. "I've been coming to the coast for years, but I rarely meet others." He would've added 'that's why I love the coast so much', but he didn't want to incur the wrath of a cranky old male AND what seemed like a very soft-spoken female. "This beach is one of the more secluded ones.Mzimu chuckled. "I assume you like the peace and quiet then? The scarred lion looked almost bemused by the fact that the old lion also seemed to be psychic. He didn't let on though, and remained silent. Amy D Isilahi smiled. It was nice to meet a fellow lion who did not always feel the need to stay planted. Oh, she hadn't always been like this, of course. At one point in her life, all she wanted to do was stay put. But a lifetime of following the wind made it hard to stop.
She then turned her head to face Zizima again, playing a tennis match between the two males. She had to agree with Mzimu - Zizima didn't look like the type to be socialising.
"I can't see why he'd need peace and quiet, he doens't look much like a deep-thinker," she said with a cheeky grin.
~Masamune~ Mzimu let out a hearty laugh, suprised by Isilahi's quick wit at the expense of the brooding Zizima. "Is that so?" He replied, when his laughter had died down to a chuckle. He wondered what it was about Zizima's appearence that made him look as though he wasn't much of a thinker.Zizima was also suprised by Isilahi's quick wit, but he didn't find it as funny as Mzimu. He didn't seem to care though, as he shrugged his broad shoulders and turned his back on the pair, to look out over the sea.Assuming that the silence that followed meant that Zizima hadn't found the remark very funny, he simply smiled, continuing to look in Isilahi's direction. "Don't worry my dear, I doubt he even cares what you think about him."Again, the blind old lion seemed to read Zizima like a book, causing him to glance over his shoulder with a deep frown on his face. These two were annoying beyond belief. Amy D Isilahi took a brief enjoyment of Zizima's annoyance, almost like a naughty child who kept pushing all their parent's buttons. She would have to stop herself soon though, for fear of actually getting reprimanded. Zizima did not look like the kind of lion to keep teasing.
"Oh I'm not worried. I'm too quick for him to catch anyways," she chimed in a playful manner.
She enjoyed Mzimu's company, despite his grumpy streak. He reminded her of what a grandfather might be like.
~Masamune~ Zizima snorted at Isilahi's last comment. It wasn't that he was sexist, but the idea of him not being able to catch a female was almost laughable to him, considering how strong his muscles were and how long his legs stretched. "Whatever." He muttered, dismissing his thoughts outloud.Mzimu let out another chuckle, which was followed by a wide yawn. Slowly, the old lion got to his feet and shook out his mane a little. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you my dear. I'm sorry if I seemed a bit moody when you first arrived. I'm just not used to having visitors."
With that, he started to walk towards the cave near the ocean that he called home. "You two should get to know each other better whilst I go and have a rest." Saying that, he smiled a little, before continuing towards the cave.Zizima watched in silence as the old male got smaller and smaller, until he eventually disappeared into the nearby cave. When he was gone, Zizima got to his feet and started walking down the beach. Clearly, he wasn't willing to take old Mzimu's advice. Amy D Isilahi stuck her tongue out at Zizima in a teasing fashion, despite that little voice in her head telling her not to. Her good spirits were kind of shattered when Mzimu wished to go rest.
"Oh...it was a pleasure meeting you too Mzimu," she said, bowing her head in a show of respect, proving she did have some manners to comabt her childishness.
A forlorn pout sweeped across her face as the elder lion disappeared into the darkness of his cave. When she turned around to gain some kind of solace from the sight of another lion, Zizima had already got up and began walking away.
For reasons unknown to her at that moment, she started and hurriedly rushed to join him. Was she desperate for company? Any company, even that of grumpy Zizima's, was welcome.
"W-where do you think you're going? You're just trying to get out of a game of tag, aren't you?" she said, trying to mask her upwelling of loneliness with teasing.

~*~*~ Yakuti'kweu RPs ~*~*~~*~ Yakuti'kweu, Auri and Induna ~*~Syrius Lionwing Induna the little white and black female was enjoying the breeze. Her ears waved about in a crazy manner as she stood on her hind legs admireing the world as she knew it. As with all those of the lapine countenance she could not see directly ahead of her so she turned ehr head to examine what was technically infront.
With a grin though this moment of contemplation was short lived as she bounded as high as the tall grey brown grasses and dove off in a mad pelmel fashion her small fluffy tail lifting as if she were in flight instead of having her usual, what most folks called, mad half hour.
Huge breown eyes gazed around once again as suddenly, she was gone, still and scentless she lay in her form in the grass the twitch of her nose the only movement about her. She was still, silent but watchful at least for the moment the wind would take her on a mad dash again soon enough. ~Masamune~ Somewhere nearby, a pair of narrowed, golden eyes watched the hare's every move. Usually he wouldn't hunt so close to home, but today he was feeling a tad lazy and just wanted to grab whatever was available. Licking his gums, the jackal moved forward. Slowly at first, with his head lowered. He didn't want to scare the hare away before he even got a chance to give chase.
His golden coat blended in well among the long, dried out grass, so he tried to stay hidden there rather than venture into the fresher green grass. Just a few more steps, and he could break into a run. "You're mine." He whispered.Just then, a loud thumping could be heard. A pair of blue-tipped ears poked up out of a patch of green grass, followed by a tiny black nose, fiercely sniffing the air. He had seen both the black and white hare and the jackal, and this was his way of warning the other hare. The jackal cocked his head in confusion as he caught a glimpse of the long ears peeking up out of the grass. "I wonder what that could be?" He murmered, shrugging off the fact that the hare he had been stalking had run away because of the thumping. Syrius Lionwing The brown eyed femme's ears flickered upright as she heard the loud thump of another hare. She dove to her foot paws and dashed a few feet away turning to face her advisary. She had out run and out boxed a lion before but who was here?
Turning around she too noticed the blue tipped ears, with a raised brow she bounded as high as she could through the grass to try and get a pre glimpse of the other hare. Of coruse she was upon the green and blue hare before she fully realised who was there "hey there!" she grins "Thank's for the warnin'" she clicked her teeth turning once again and glancing about assuming the predator wa following her furry butt through the grass. She was in the mood for shocking a predator.
With a grin and a wink to the dark eyed male she clicks her tongue and speaks again "Names Induna but as ya can see I'm a lady!" She grins standing on her hid legs she raises her front paws in front of herself, when she did this she was akin to a small long eared boxer. "Prolly heard of me greatest ear boxer on the savannah!" she gloated, she liked to make others think she was the greatest but as she had never met another boxing hare, the debate raged on if this was really the truth. ~Masamune~ The green hare was nearly bowled off his feet by the white hare's sudden appearence. He had lost sight of her for a split second and then she was right there! The seemingly timid hare nodded, acknowledging her greeting and commiting her name to memory, although it wouldn't be much use in his case.
The male remained silent as the female went on. He hadn't actually heard of her before, but he didn't want to seem rude, so he smiled and nodded politely. All this time, the jackal was drawing ever close. His ears perked as he heard a voice, causing him to mutter a little angrily. He couldn't kill something that could carry a conversation. Well, not one that he heard anyway. Sighing heavily, he wandered over to the pair. "You should try not to make so much noise. You never know who could be listening." He said in a light tone of voice. Syrius Lionwing Induna grinned broadly to the green hair her deep brown eyes dancing. The fact that he knew her pleased the white and black femme and she beam,ed almost bowled over by his nod. Loweing her body for a moment she almost puurred, well she would have if she could but she wasn't a cat! "Really?" she raisded a brow feeling even more confident by his mere nod. "who're you then.." Of course this little start of a confersation was interrupted by the Jackals apperance and the femme hare once again stood to her full hight with her paws rased as dukes.
"Well listen buddy, I knew ya was a commin' i was just waitin' for ya!" She beams hopping from one foot to the other "don't you know you can't killa boxin' hare theys jus' bout invincable so you best be turnin' round and not tryin' to eat my buddy an me, cause we'll kick ya furry tailed butt!" She nodded solemnly bluffing, she was a great bluffer and kne wit it occasionally baffled ehr opponant enough for her to make a run for it before they came out of their thougth pattern. ~Masamune~ The green hare nodded again to confirm that he had indeed heard of her. He had a very sweet and genuine expression on his face, although he was telling a small white lie. When she asked who he was, his expression became more solemn. With a shrug of his shoulders, he shook his head, motioning towards his mouth. It was so hard to tell people that he was unable to talk.As the jackal reached them, he chuckled as he watched the black and white hare, who looked almost like she was dancing. In an attempt to show that he wasn't a threat, he sat hiself down. "My name is Auri. Once you two have introduced yourselves, I'll not be allowed to eat you because we'll be aquaintences." He grinned, looking at the small pair. Malaika would love to meet such strange and fuzzy creatures at some point, if she hadn't already met one through eating it of course. Syrius Lionwing The black and white femmes head tilted he rneck almost looked broken her ears flopped so strangely to the side, of course a grin soon came about her black tipped face "Oh I see, you're one of them mutes well, uhm how bouts I call ya greeny blue tip for now and we'll go from there huh?" She grinned cheekily she was clearly the cocky forwards sort though very friendly.
"Well My names Induna though don't let the name fool ya I'm a girl I jus' don't wanna go changin it, twas the name I was christnemned with, and my lil green friend ere is greeny blue tips til furtehr notice alright jackaly?" She raised a brow still standing on her hind legs, she was still ready to dive away should she have to, after all what was the good of being a great ear boxer if you'd been eaten cause you trusted a jackal? ~Masamune~ The green hare opened his mouth to laugh at the name Induna gave him, but no sound came out, so he simply smiled and nodded. His name was actually Yakuti'kweu, but only his mother was able to tell others that, and she wasn't around anymore. Still smiling, he turned to the golden jackal and cocked his head. His nose twitched with caution and curiousity.Auri chuckled and bowed his head. "I'm pleased to meet you both." He replied, his tone of voice softening ever so slightly each time he spoke. "And please, call me Auri." Syrius Lionwing Induna grinned broadly her deep brown eyes watching the little green male for a moment. "Auri huh? hopope that isn't the start of som sentence like aurite it's time for lunch or somethin'!" She smirked she was always like this some would say she even liked to taunt predators in to a chase or even a boxing match depending upon their size. Who knew, she just enjoyed talking wise to anyone.
Still, even through all this idle chatter it was pretty clear she was tence, her ears wafting about listenoing to the wind maybe this jackal wasn't alone maybe it was just a diversion so it's friend could make swift work of herself and greeny blue tips, she wasn't taking any chances. ~Masamune~ Auri grinned. "You're quite the comedian aren't you?" He said with a chuckle. "But no, my name simply means gold." Saying that, he eyed the little green hare with the red diamond-shape on his head, who had remained silent all this time. He had never seen such colours on a living creature before, apart from maybe a tropical bird of somekind. "No wonder I didn't see you, with coat like that." He mused with a smile.Yakuti smiled from Induna to Auri, happy to find two new friends that understood his disability. Still, he wished he were able to talk to them. Although he didn't look like one that would talk much anyway, there was a lot he would've liked to say to them both. Syrius Lionwing Induna clipped her back leg on the ground making a stamping sound as she did so "well as me old mam used to say, if ya can't laugh what can ya do?" She smiled toothily then showing her white gnashers a she did so.
Turning to the green male she touched noses with him. This of coruse wasn't anything emotional; or affectionate, she had been taught a long time ago that folks that didn't talk could comunicate through scent and the meerest of noises made with thei bodies ratehr than their mouths. Induna blew oftly sending the scent of an empty feild filled with wild flowers mixed with the deep heady scent of hares. It was a greeting of sorts and perhaps even an invitation to 'dance' with her for a while.
Sitting back up again she eyed the jackal "gold ey? yeah I can see the resemblance though I woulda said a more brownish gold, you're not a lionin desguise are ya? those guys are quite often that colour yaknow?" ~Masamune~ Yakuti's nose twitched as it came into contact with Induna's nose. Although is was nothing more than a friendly greeting, the green hare would've blushed if it were possible. This was the first female hare he had ever come across, apart from his mother, and so he was still unsure about certain things.
Tentetively, he reached forward to do the same, but ended up just rubbing noses with her rather than breating on her. He didn't even know what all that was about.Auri looked on as the hares exchanged their odd greetings, raising a brow. They were a strange little pair, that was certain. When Induna turned back to him, he shook his head. "I live with lions, but I assure you that I'm not one myself. Although, I've been told that I can be mistaken for one from a distance." Syrius Lionwing Induna's ears waggled a bit as she looked at the little jackal, she was definately becoming less frightened of him though the mention of lions made ehr look around. She had at one point boxed the ears of a lion, but they still frightened her, why wouldn't they? Twitching her nose the white and black femme rested her eyes on the jackal again and gave a smile. "a lio in jackals clotheing?" She grinned and hunkered down next to Yakuti nudging his ears. "hey will you be stayiong round here long? Maybe we can bweat up some lions together huh?" she grinned broadly, she was never shy having grown up in a litter of males she was far from skittish when it came to boys. ~Masamune~ Auri chuckled and shooks his head, amused by the thought of the fiesty female hare beating up a lion. Although, he would be happy for Mbaya to get boxed around the ears. Smiling, he motioned towards Pride Rock. "I live with a family of lions, in one of the caves about half way up Pride Rock. They rescused me from the thorn patch, after I had stupidly become stuck."Yakuti would've laughed if it were possible. Induna was such a funny character, and he wondered if all young female hares were like this. The green hare was very much a wanderer, so he probably wouldn't be sticking around these lands for long. But since there was no way of explaining all that, he simply nodded with a smile. Syrius Lionwing Induna looked over at the rock which Auri indicated her ccomical ears twitching a bit "lion country." she twitched her nose, she knew of lion country and thopse withion it. She had heard they were good creatures but she was still food to them, she knew that it was foolish not to.
With her black nose twitching the little white feisty femme smirked at yakuti "I don't usually stay for very long but if you're gunna be around maybe I'll make an exception" she grinned cheekily, she didn't understand the meaning of the word shy, she was a very forward gal after all. She stood up on her hind legs as a breeze of wind rushed by and she smiled her deep chocolate brown eyes closing happily "winds gettin up, you wanna run?" she looked at Yakuti, she assumed that he would be like any other hare, driven to slight insanity by the breezes which rushed accross the savannah, she had always let the wind take her where ever it blew. ~Masamune~ With a small and slightly cheeky grin, Yakuti bolted to his left, answering Induna's question with a running head start. He was very fast, even for a hare. His mother had taught him to be aware of his surroundings and the texture on which he was running on, so that he could take advantage of it. The fact that he blended in well with the richer green grass was just a bonusAuri laughed and watched the green hare dart off, before turning to the black and white one. "If you go now you might catch him." Saying that, he got up from where he was sat and stretched out his legs, before turning to head back up to Pride Rock. From now on, hares were definatly off the menu. Syrius Lionwing "Hey!" Induna grinned broadly and bolted after the green blur that was Yakuto "cya round lioney!" she called behind her before setting her paws to work on running to catch up to the green hare. Her pale paws headed for shorter grass where she knew she could bolt without hinderance her tail flicking in the air as she did so. watching for the fleeing figure. This was fun, it had been a long long time since she had run with another hare, and a cute male hare. She blinked at the thought dashing back in to the long grass, ehr cheeks flushed red, she had never thought of a boy as 'cute' before, they were just males, there for boxing with, she had grown up in a l;ittler of males she the only female amongst them, she was considered a real tom boy able to box her brothers ears better than they could each others. Yet here she was blushing because of a cute green boy?
Surprises never ceased. ~Masamune~ Yakuti bolted left and right, attempting to lead his pursuer astray. It wasn't long though before he could hear a set of thundering feet that weren't his own. He smiled, his expression gleeful as a result of all the fun he was having. He wondered if all females were this much fun.
In an attempt to keep the little race going for as long as he could, he came to a sudden halt in a wide patch of grass and ducked down as low as he could, using his soft green coat as camouflage. Syrius Lionwing Induna's ears twitched as the sound of the foot paws not too far ahead of her came to an abrupt stop. Her ears wriggled and she stood completely still ehr nose wriggling. Laughing to herself she bounded out of the grass as high as she could her shoulders peering above the extra long stems before she plummeted down to earth. She continued to do this hoping to capture a glimpse or a whif of the green male.
Unfortunately she was unsuccessful so she stood searching through the tall grass instead her nose wriggling and her tail flickering. Big brown orbs searched and caught a glimmer of red "Ah ha! There you are!" she grinned and pounced through the green grass to collide with Yakuti. "I thought I'd lost ya!" she beams playfully. ~Masamune~ Yakuti tumbled over backwards a couple of times after being tackled by Induna. His mouth opened to let out an inaudiable laugh. He hadn't had this much fun in ages! Grinning widely, he bowed his head in defeat, then hopped over to a small patch of flowers. His nose twitched as he sniffed them, before he plucked one up in his paw and hopped back over to Induna. Still grinning, he offered it to her. Syrius Lionwing Induna Laughed happily as she released Yakuti her deep brown eyes dancing cheerily. she tilted ehr head in extreme curiosity though when she watched him hop away, wonderign what he was doing she stayed seated and waited fro him to return.
Of course when he did return her cheeks flushed a flourecent red, her fur turning from that soft delecate white to a rather hot pink. For once, Induna was speachless. She couldn't even utter a thankyou so she simply nudged his cheek with her nose and smelt the flower. Induna had never been a flower kind of girl, but for now, she could enjoy being treated like a girlie girl instead of like the tom boy she was so often refarred to. ~Masamune~ Yakuti was greatful that his little token of thanks was accepted. There was no way of telling her with words, so showing her with gifts was the next best thing.
As Induna began to blush, a large wave of confusion hit him, like when they had first met and she breathed on him. What was that all about anyway? His mother hadn't taught him much about relationships that were further along than friendship, so he was very much a fish out of water. With a light shrug of his shoulders and the slightest flick of his fluffy tail, he motioned for Induna to stand beside him. Then, he crouched down and got into a starting position. Now he wanted to race her! Syrius Lionwing Induna smiled lightly looking at the male she hopped up beside him and snuffed at his ears and cheeks for a moment trying to push away her embarerssment by doing something she and her brothers always did to identify each other. Of course she soon realised that Yakuti desired a race. She grinned and her back foot beat the ground as she hunkered down beside him her shoulder pressed gently against his. She was pretty certain she could run shoulder to shoulder with him. She was a fast girl after all.
She waited a moment wondering what the signal to start would be "You know, you're cute for a boy." she said in a rather off handed way "You gotta have a girlfriend right?" she raised a brow and shook her head "course you have, cute boys all have girls." Her tail flickered as she tenced her mucles, she would race shoulder to shoulder to him and not think about silly things like the fact that he was a cute and sweet guy, silent but still, cute. ~Masamune~ Yakuti was all ready to race until Induna spoke up. His expression then fell reletively blank. Tilting his head to the side, he considered the word "girlfriend" for a moment. Induna was a girl, and she was his friend, so surely that meant that she was his girlfriend? But if that was the case, why would she be asking? His nose twitched irritably as he struggled to come up with the right answer.
Eventually, he turned to her, and nodded towards her with a shakey smile. He still wasn't sure what was the right answer, but whatever it was, he hoped that the answer he had given didn't confuse or offend Induna. Syrius Lionwing Induna raised a brow "Yeah i thought so, bet she has some nice kits too huh? you bein so well yanno green and blue and stuff." She shrugged her shoulders "you ready to race?" she raised a brow and smiled. It was silly of her to be crushing on some cute guy! She had a reputation to uphold after all! She was supposed to be the greatest hare boxer in the world, one little look from a young male and she'd gone all swoony and embarressed. Her brothers would have looked own their noses at her.
Her butt rose a bit as she got ready to run waiting for his signal to go. A nice race would run all this shyness out of her system right? ~Masamune~ Yakuti was again confused by Induna's words, but decided to shrug it off this time round. There wasn't much he could do to get her to explain such things. It was times like this when he wished his mother was still around. A rather solemn expression graced his face, which caused him to turn away from his friend. Again, it's not like he could tell her why he was suddenly feeling down, so rather than let her see him like that, he thumped down one of his back legs and hit it three times, signaling the start of the race. He hesitated momentarily, to make sure Induna understood the signal, and then he sprung forward. Syrius Lionwing Induna smiled and bounded off beside him. He hadn't really answered her questuion had he? Maybe he didn't understand? Shaking the thoughts off for now she ran shoulder to shoulder with the green and blue male her fluffy paws beating the earth. She was swift and raced beside him ehr shoulder vitrually touching his. She even laughed as they went, she loved to run, it was her second favourite thing in the world right up there with boxing. ~Masamune~ The green Hare was careful not to bump Induna as he ran beside her. She was just as fast as him, which was a little bit of a suprise to him, but at the same time it wasn't. She seemed so full of confidence, he assumed that she was good at everything he did.
As a smile slowly returned to his face, he glanced breifly towards Induna, a playful glint in his eye. Syrius Lionwing Indunas ears wriggled for a moment before they flattened against her head. She took a swift glance at the green and blue tipped male and grinned a playful look in those big beautiful brown eyes. she stompped her back foot once as she ran taking a leap only to land with her shoulder carefully rested against his once again. Was she flirting or trying to impress this guy or what? Laughing to herself she quietly realised how flirtitious she was being,s he had never flirted in her life, she acctually pondered if she was doing it right.
Most things came easily to Induna, she was cocky, confident but not too overly hot headed she knew her limits, but she could usually do anything she put her mind to as long as she had seenit done before. Truthfully, she pondered if she was flirting or just being her usual show off self? it was a little unlike her to show off so much to a male. Her brothers had always been a source of angst to her and she had made sure to always show them up, but with this green male, she wasn't even feeling competetive she wanted to show him what she could do, impress him even. How strange. She had only felt this kind of feeling once before and it was for her own father she had always wanted to impress him, but never really succeeded despite her obvious talents and confidence. Perhaps if she impressed Yakuti enough he would like her? Had she just thought that? She was going loopy she was sure of it! ~Masamune~ Yakuti's ears perked suddenly, along with his head, as Induna jumped up. Again he managed an inaudiable laugh, before doing a jump of his own. It wasn't quite as high as Induna's, but it was longer.
When he landed, he had pulled a little ahead, so he took a moment to survey the land and recall where they were. He wasn't exactly sure, as they had run pretty far pretty fast. Pulling back to Induna, he sniffed the air. Geting lost was his main concern, so maybe they shop finish the race now with a draw. Syrius Lionwing Induna senced the males worries and she slowled, her claws digging in to the dirt beneath her paws as she came to a slightly skidding stop her large black ears wriggling about. The little hare sat suddenly and started to groom the dust from the dark fur of her ears. She always did this after a run, it cooled her ears down. she paused for a moment though and looked at the male with a smile her deep brown eyes dancing in a pleased sort of manner. "Great race" she smiled turning back to grooming her ears, her breathing slowing back to it's normal rythem pretty quickly, she was in good shape after all, young agile and free, even if she did have alot on ehr mind at that moment. ~Masamune~ Yakuti smiled thankfully as Induna slowed, glad that she had picked up on his worrying. Although he was very much a wanderer, his memory wasn't all that great, so if he did get lost, he would have a difficult time finding his way back to his current den.
As he slowed to a stop, he sat himself down with a gentle thump and began cleaning himself. He was quite fond of his bright colours, so he cleaned himself often, working his way from the bottom towards the top. As Induna spoke up, he nodded with enthusiasm. He hadn't had a race like that one in ages. Syrius Lionwing Induna smiled and moved closer to the green and blue tipped male "your fur must be a bugger top clean" she chuckled grooming some dust off his shoulder for him, though she stopped quickly a sheepish grin covering her face. "me and my brothers sued to groom each other, course whites hard to keep clean too" she grinned in a silly sort of manner and licked both of her paws before running them over her face in a sort of face wash and hide, she was blushing again. This male was making her all silly! ~Masamune~ In the breif moment that Induna was licking his shoulder, Yakuti suddenly started thumping the ground with his left foot, as if her licking created some sort of reflex. When she stopped, he immediatly stared down at his feet, completely embarassed and confused by what had just happened.
As she spoke of her brothers, he returned her sheepish grin with one of his own, but kept his head reletively lowered. If only his mother was still around to let him know what was going on. Syrius Lionwing Induna smiled looking surprised when the green male's foot beat the ground. She laughed softly her big brown eyes showing a kindness they never reall;y showed to anyone. She was a very careing little hare but she hid all those mushy things behind her tom boyish exterior. Smiling she leaned forwards and licked at his blue tipped ears. "you know this is silly, I'v never been embarressed my whole life yet here I am acting like one of those silly little girlie girls." she grinned and sat down next to him "you know my mam and pap were together for a damn logn time before they died and they loved each other to bits they did I'd like that one day, yanno, mate, kids, the whole shabang, and the gods know that you'd be atop me list greeny blue tips, you're jus cute as a button int ya?" she grins playfully and licks his cheek her ears waggling around. "if you're round here gain soon look me up I'm always about awright?" she nodded and got to her foot paws stamping one back leg on the dusty doil she bounded off in to the grass, though she reappeard a moment later and winked. "cya round cutey!!!" she chuckled, what was the point in being shy? She'd never been shy before she wasn't about to start now. ~Masamune~ Yakuti'kweu had never known his father, and while his mother was still alive, she never really spoke about him or the relationship they had had before he was born. And she hadn't even got round to telling him about the birds and the bees, so all this was new to him.
He was only aware of one kind of love, and that was the love he had for his mother. The brightly-coloured hare wasn't stupid though, and he was certain to catch on eventually. Just not yet. Yakuti smiled as Induna continued to shower affection upon him, and nodded and waved as she made her way off into the distance, before completely disappearing. Then, with a small twitch of his ears, he was off on his way back to his current den, his mind full of thoughts of Induna. He couldn't wait to see her again.

~*~*~ Moyo'nyau RPs ~*~*~~*~ Moyo'nyau and Seke ~*~Taejira Jingle!
The sound of a small bell rang out through the grasslands as a little feline lept from rock to rock. At first he appeared to be a cub of some kind, judging by his size and the fact that he was avoiding the ground like it was lava, only stepping on rocks and branches... but he was a fully grown serval.
He blended in quite nicely with said rocks, greyish fur dappled by bold bars and a few spots, slate green eyes smiling as he hopped to his next perch. The jingling sound appeared to be coming from a small golden bell that hung around his neck on a red leather strap.
Letting out a pleased sort of mewl as he made a particularly difficult jump, Seke contunued on towards the shade of a gnarled tree a bit of the way away. ~Masamune~ Not too far away from the playful jingle of the bell, a soft melodic humming sound could be heard. It came from a creature not unlike Seke, although, her colours were much different. Her shining black eyes were framed by a pair of dark blue rings, and her entire face was blue. Her ears were blue too, and her paws, and finally her tail, which was decorated with more dark blue rings. The rest of her was pure white.
The oddly coloured Serval had never thought anything of it though, and was almost constantly cheerful. Today was no different, as she hummed her merry tune and skipped a little in pursuit of a butterfly, totally unaware of the darker creature nearby. Taejira Distracted momentarily from his rock-hopping by a quick flash of blue in the corner of his vision, Seke sat up on his perch and craned his neck.
Another serval, like him? He grinned widely, letting out a high-pitched "Pppprrrrt!" and leaping off the rock, game forgotten. He trotted across the dirt and through the tall grass towards the white-and-blue feline, seating himself near her and beaming.
"Helloo!" he exclaimed, bell jingling merrily with his movements. He tilted his head at Moyo. What a strange, pretty looking coat she had! Almost as pretty as his own! 8D ~Masamune~ "Oh!" The brightly-coloured female jumped, slightly startled by the sudden noise that came before the loud greeting. She spun on her heels, just in time to catch a glimpse of the dark, spotted and striped male coming straight for her. He was wearing something around his neck that she had never seen before, and she didn't know what to think.
"Erm...Hi!" She finally managed to speak up, taking a few steps back so that there was a couple of feet between them. It wasn't that she was shy, she was just very cautious around others, regardless of whether or not they were Servals like herself. Taejira Seke was not used to anyone being afraid of him... well, except that weird wolf, but she thought he was a demon or something. Plus she was insane, so she didn't count.
He smiled in a manner he hoped was winning, though it probably just came across as pointy, and sat down, curling his tail round his haunches. Clearing his throat and lifting a paw to silence the bell around his neck, he beamed at the other serval.
"Hello there, sorry if I startled you!" He practically purred. Friendly little guy, really! "I'm Seke!" ~Masamune~ The bright female remained standing, not yet comfortable enough to sit herself down. Smiling, she shook her head. "Don't worry about it."
The male certainly seemed friendly enough, so it wasn't long before she finally relaxed and sat herself down, resting her bottom carefully on her back legs so that she didn't get any dust on her pretty white fur. Still smiling, she cleared her throat in order to introduce herself. "My name is Moyo'nyau, but you can call me Moyo." Taejira "That's a niiiice name," Seke churred, getting up again to pad in a wide arc around Moyo. "You've got stripes on your tail!" He observed, purring. "They're very nice, I've got stripes too." He flicked his tail out to prove it and beamed.
Then, yawning widely, he flopped onto his side and gazed up at the other serval with wide grey-green eyes. "Whatcha up to, Moyo?" He inquired brightly. ~Masamune~ "Thank you!" Moyo beamed briefly, before she was forced to stand up quickly and move backwards as Seke tried to walk around her. She smiled sheepishly, apparently still cautious of the male. "Your stripes are nice too." She said with a nod. "And you have much more than I do."
After the dark male had flopped down, Moyo carefully sat herself down once again. When asked what she was doing, she looked over her shoulder, looking for the butterfly she had been chasing. "I was chasing a butterfly." She then turned back to Seke. "What were you doing?" Taejira "I was...uh..." Seke paused. 'Hopping on rocks so I didn't have to touch the dirt' probably wouldn't sound very manly. "I was just talking a stroll!" he explained with a winning smile at Moyo.
"Chasin' a butterfly, huh? I do that sometimes," he confided, washing a paw. Observing that the little white serval still seemed to be a bit nervous, he gazed thoughtfully at her.
"Wanna play a game?" Seke chirped, hopping up. Yeah! Friends played games! That'd put her at ease. ~Masamune~ Moyo cocked her head, her eyes glinting with a hint of curiousity. "What kind of game?" Although she wouldn't admit it straight away, Moyo adored games, and was very much still a kitten at heart when it came to fun.
She didn't quite understand why Seke was smiling so much, but it must've been contagious, as it wasn't long before she was smiling too. Her tail flicked melodically from side to side as she awaited the name of the game. Taejira "I dunnnoooo..." Seke replied thoughtfully, tilting his head back up to look at the puffy clouds floating overhead. Looking back at Moyo, he beamed. She was smiling! Woo! That was a good sign. He thought hard about games.
"Um, how about hide and seek?" the little serval offered finally, looking around. The area didn't provide too many hiding places, but it could work...
"Unless you have a better idea!" he added brightly. ~Masamune~ "Hmm..." Moyo tapped one of her front paws delicately on the ground as she thought of other options, her tail still swaying freely from side to side. A mischievious grin slowly appeared on her face. "How about...tag! You're it!" With a giggle and a little half-jump, the pale serval sprang into action, turning on her heel quickly before running away. Taejira Seke yelped in surprise as she tagged him. "Agh! Hey!" it took him a few seconds to regain his balance as he turned and watched her dash off. "That's cheating!" the grey serval huffed, before leaping after her.
He was around as fast as she was, but she had gotten a head start, and his bell would let her know where he was at all times, with its jingling. Growling playfully, Seke lept onto a flat, tall rock and launched himself from it, trying to land directly on the other serval. ~Masamune~ Moyo laughed and darted left and right, attempting to lead Seke astray. She wasn't the fastest of runners over long distances, but she was smart, and knew how the wear others out.
"Catch me if you can!" She called back, just in time to see the pursuing serval leap into the air in an attempt to land on her. Giggling, she came to a sudden halt and jumped back on herself, so that Seke would land just in front with his back to her. "You'll have to do better than that!" She beamed, playfully batting Seke's backside with her paw before running off again. It would seem that her inner-child had taken over. Taejira Seke yowled in a rather sulky manner as he landed on his face in the dirt. Why did that always happen to him, anyway? Did his face have a magnet in it that irrisistably attracted it to the ground?
"Oof!" he mumbled as she bapped at his rear, pushing himself back up onto his paws and looking around for Moyo. "That was rude, you know!" the grey serval called out wretchedly. Finally spotting a flash of blue in the grass, he stilled his bell, beginning to stalk the other feline in earnest. ~Masamune~ "Don't be a sore loser!" She called back in a very giddy tone of voice, before ducking into some long blue-green grass, thinking that she wouldn't be spotted. She couldn't hear Seke's bell, and so she thought he was still sat where he landed, trying to salvage his pride.
Smiling happily, she decided that she had had enough fun for one day, so she popped her head out of the grass. "It's be fun!" She said with a giggle. "Don't be a stranger!" With that, she turned on her heels and bounded off in the opposite direction, eventually disappearing into the distance.
