Kiiro wanted to show Jerem her secret when the bobcat cubs walked to him. She smiled at them and said, "They are adorable aren't they?" She got onto the floor and crawled over to them since she didn't want to risk hurting her leg by putting weight on it. When Kiiro heard Jerem ask if she could talk to the bobcats and get them to agree to be drawn. "I can try. They probably won't mind too much." She then turned to the bobcats and asked them if they would mind being drawn. The mother walked over to her cubs and nuzzled them before they started play wrestling with each other. "There you go Jerem." Kiiro said smiling and then getting back up onto the chair. She would've transformed into a cat, but decided it was best to just let Jerem draw the bobcats for a while before transforming.

Jerem sat in another chair, pulling the worn sketchbook from his bag. He chose the proper pencil and chewed on the end of it as he watched the cubs intently, his hazel eyes fixated on their fuzzy bodies. Then he began sketching lines, getting the idea of their form as they played, and sketching a shape of the mother nearby. His eyes would flick over to Kiiro as he drew, his expression shifting from concentration to endearment. A smile glued itself to his lips as he continued drawing. "So, tell me about yourself," he says as he watches the cubs play again.

Kiiro wasn't sure there was much to tell, but she said, "Well you know I live here alone." She thought for a moment and then continued, "I love animals and nature, but that is probably obvious with me being part cat. I usually play with the bobcats, but when they are out hunting or whatever I tend to climb trees and look out over everything within range. There are times that I wished I had someone that I could be friends with other than the animals, but there aren't many humans that like me. Other than you that is." She couldn't believe she was telling Jerem so much, but it felt good to have someone to talk to. She smiled as she watched the cubs playing and then asked, "I was wondering, how much do you like cats? And when would you want to see how I get the food and other things I need?" She took a deep breath and waited for a reply, ready to change into cat form, however, was ready to bolt under a bed or out of the house if Jerem didn't like her cat form.

Jerem tapped the lead of his pencil against the paper, thoughtfully. "We had a cat when I was growing up. Before my parents started fighting. I helped raise him from kitten." He stopped and looked down at the paper, chewing his lip. He finished out a few lines of the cubs, giving them actual form. "I love cats. My parents just won't let me have another one since my first one ran away. Dad left the back door open." He didn't look at Kiiro, apparently a little upset at his story. He continued fleshing out the sketch, adding texture to the cubs' bodies.

Kiiro listened intently to Jerem and when she heard that he loved cats she smiled and was about to show her cat form. However, that was until he said that his cat ran from home and he wasn't able to get another one. She felt really bad that Jerem's cat ran away from home and she said, "I'm sorry about your cat. I can maybe show you something that you may like. It may make you feel better. At least I hope it will. But you have to close your eyes first. And promise not to peek."

Jerem blinked and looked up, then nodded and looked back down. He finished the line he was working on, then set the pencil aside and closed his eyes. He had both hands resting on the sketchbook, covering most of the drawing he had been concentrating on, but pieces of the cubs' bodies could be seen between his fingers. "It's not too big of a deal... I miss him, but I'm sure he's okay. He was a big cat, and strong. I'm sure he'd be able to take care of himself out here." His words were quiet and thoughtful, extremely hopeful, too. Like a part of him half-hoped he'd find his cat one day while walking around. It wasn't likely, though... It had been a year since his cat got out. His eyebrows furrowed as he tried his hardest to resist the urge to crack an eye open, curiosity trying to get the better of him.

Kiiro looked at Jerem and listened to his words and said, "I believe that he's all right. Cats are strong and resilient. Now please try to keep your eyes closed." She took a deep breath and then transformed into her cat form. She didn't know what Jerem would say, but she didn't feel that he would think anything bad. After a few moments Kiiro took a deep breath and meowed, since she couldn't actually speak as a cat. She hoped that Jerem would open his eyes. In her cat form her fur was the same color as her ears and tail had been in her human form. She was a small, sleek furred, brown she-cat and she had the same brown eyes, except they were obviously cat-like.

He was patient as he waited for some kind of signal. A smile touched his lips as his eyes softened. He could only imagine what Kiiro wanted to show him, but it warmed his heart that she trusted him enough. The meow was a surprise, and at first, Jerem thought it was one of the bobcat kittens. He wanted to see what they were up to. His hazel eyes opened, searching the room, and they fell on a small brown cat. It wasn't here before, and slowly, Jerem realized that Kiiro wasn't in the room. "Kiiro?" He called, looking around. He thought maybe another cat had wandered into her house while she was going to get whatever she used to hunt. "There's a little brown kitten in here..." His voice trailed off as he looked at the cat, staring at its fur color, ears, tail, its eyes. "....Oooh...." Realization dawned on him, or at least a little. "Is... Is that you, Kiiro?"

Kiiro looked at Jerem and wondered how he was going to take to her being a cat. She saw the smile on his face and couldn't help but purr a little at his smile. When she saw Jerem's eyes open she watched him look around the room. She would've said "I'm on the chair.", but since she was a cat she couldn't. When Kiiro heard Jerem call her name, she looked at him and figured that he must've thought she left the room. And after hearing him say that there was a kitten in the room she meowed at him. She watched him look her over and when he asked if it was her; she nodded, her ears laid back because she was unsure if he was ok with the fact that she could be a cat.

The young man stared for a long while, then tilted his head. The small brown cat was responding to what he said. As the realization sunk in, his eyes slowly grew wider. Then, without warning, he slapped the sketchbook shut and stood up. "Th-that can't be you, Kiiro... Is it? It's impossible, right? For someone... For someone to turn into a cat?" It wasn't really fear causing his words, just disbelief. Amazement, certainly. Of course, he didn't really believe it wasn't possible, given the girl had cat ears and a tail normally. "...How?" he finally breathed, when it seemed he calmed down some.

Kiiro sat on the chair, looking at Jerem as he stared at her. She could tell that he was confused, but she was glad that he didn't seem to dislike her as a cat. She jumped off the chair and looked up at him as he spoke. She was worried that he didn't really believe it was her. She could show him that it was really her, but she didn't like transforming if people could see. She heard him saying that it was impossible and she shook her head at him, as if to say, "It's not impossible." She wanted to show him that it really was her, so she just decided to show him. Kiiro transformed back, with what she was weraing before turning into a cat on. She was standing right infront of Jerem, so that there was no denying that it really was her. She just hoped that he would believe it and not think she knocked him out or something. "So, I guess that you don't like that I can be a cat....." She said, her head and ears lowered. She didn't look up and make eye contact because she was afraid to see the look in his eyes.

He was shocked, to say the least. He was horribly confused, and now more intrigued than before. But his curiosity was stifled by his uncertainty. However, with her transforming right before his eyes, there was no disbelieving it. "Kiiro...? B-but, how? How can you do that, how is it possible?" He gasped, blinking. "Is it a trick you get with the.. the y'know. The ears and tail?" He swallowed, trying to take a moment to collect his thoughts and opinions, gathering them into a comfortable little pile that he could sort through. Then he shook his head, a smile tumbling onto his lips in a clumsy manner. "I didn't say I didn't like it... I'm just having a hard time wrapping my mind around it..." he said quietly, attempting to be reassuring. He wasn't positive it was working, but he said it anyway.

Kiiro heard him asking how she could change and then looked up at him. She was about to reply, and then heard him ask if it was something to do with her ears and tail. She thought about it and nodded. She wasn't fully sure fi that was the real reason, but that sounded like a better explanation than she had in mind. She could see that he was baffled by the fact that she had transformed right in front of him and wondered if that was good or bad. When Kiiro heard that he didn't say he didn't like the fact she could transform she smiled a bit, but that didn't mean that he did like it. She looked up and said, "I'm just really nervous about actually showing someone my secret I guess... I never go around people, let alone show them that I can be a cat. If I would have then, well I may not still be alive." She had never trusted anyone, but felt as if she could trust Jerem more than anyone she ever had, other than her mother.

Jerem nodded slowly, exhaling a breath and pushing his bangs from his eyes. He looked away from Kiiro, then let out a breathy laugh. It was one of those nervous ones, the kind you want to make to lighten the mood when you're not entirely sure what to say or to do. "Well, I'm honored you... trust me enough to show me," he said slowly, then nodded. "I really am. I mean, it's something you protect so carefully, really means a lot to me that you'd show me." He fell silent, realizing that if he wasn't careful, he'd start rambling. Rambling was definitely not something he needed to do right now. He swallowed and lowered his gaze, fidgeting with his sketchbook. "I just wish I had some terribly awesome secret I could share with you, to make you feel better about it all... But I really don't have one." He lifted the sketchbook, "All I do are sketches. No one really sees them, so I guess that's a secret, but not one as amazing as yours." He laughed again, then slowly sat back down in a chair. His smile lessened, into one just barely above thoughtful. "Do you really trust me that much?" he asked quietly, looking up at Kiiro. His hazel eyes were swimming with several emotions: concern, happiness, sadness. Though his smile stayed firmly on his lips as he waited for her reply.

Kiiro heard Jerem laugh and then listened to him speak. She looked at him, then to the floor because she wasn't sure how to reply to him commenting about how he thought she trusted him enough to show her secret. "I usually am really scared to even consider showing anyone my secret. The only person that ever knew was my mother and now she's gone..." She tried not to sound upset, but she wasn't hiding it very well.
When Kiiro heard that Jerem said he didn't have any really big secret that he could show her, she looked at him curiously. After he mentioned his sketchbook Kiiro smiled and said, "I know that you think your sketchbook may not be as exciting as me turning into a cat. But being an artist is really amazing. I can draw some, but I'm not very good at it..." Looking at Jerem as he sast in a chair, Kiiro heard him ask if she really trusted him enough to show him her secret.
She looked at him smiling, but she could sense that he was feeling more than just happiness. "Yes I trust you that much. But I just want to know, are you ok?" She wasn't sure if there was anything serious bothering him, but she could definately tell something was bothering him.
