((Alright, I had planned on doing it soon as it is. ^^))As Kiburi sounded excited at her request, Kirjava was relieved. She was slightly afraid of being alone, as this wasn't a very friendly place. Humming for a little while longer, the cub inside of her stirred and she felt some pain. Though, this pain was slightly different. It was time, like some instinct that told her, she turned to Kib, "It's time...I can feel it."
It was a good thing that she was lying down as the next wave of pain made her cringe and legs felt weak. Resting her head on the ground, she knew it'd all be over as quickly as it came. More pain came as she felt a moan get stuck in her throat, not wanting to let it out and alert any of the red pelts to her weaken state. As it was just before the sun rose, a little cub made his debut in the world and Kirjava's son was born.
A little figure curled up next to Kirjava's side as she rose her head to take her first look at her son. Crimson eyes widen as she felt her heart melt at the sight. He was so perfect...like a miniature of herself and a hint of the father. Lowering her head, she licked him before glancing to Kib, "A son! It's a boy...." Gaze averted slightly to the rising of the sun as she knew what to name him, "Ravi...I'll name him Ravi." Motioning for Kib to get a better look, she wanted her sister to see him as well.

Wheter excited or scared Kiburi still would have stayed. It seemed she was slowly learning to be more responsible and that showed in the way she was learning to treat others. She shifted her weight, yawning wide so that her tongue curled in her mouth. Oh she was getting sleepy...
Kirjava's sudden statement knocked all this fatigue away however, startling her into a rather wide-awake state. "T-time?" She would never question a mother's judgement but it had taken her by complete surprise.
This was it! This WAS IT!
She shifted backwards a little, not so far that Kirjava would feel alone, but just enough to give her sister some room. "It's okay Kirjava, it'll all be over soon." but would it? She didn't know! Now it seemed she was running on autopilot, her mouth moving as if it had a life of it's own, the comforting words spilling into reality.
In fact the labor did last a long while, throughout the night and only ending as the sun peeked over the horizon to shed its new light upon them. It was then that Kiburi saw the tiny curled cub at her sister's side and heard her voice. It was a boy..
"Oh Kirjava, sister! He's so pretty, cute and small!" She smiled wider than she had for a long time, "so perfect! That name suits him." At Kirjava's motioning she crept forwards on her belly, and peeked at the tiny little thing, had she been that small when she had been born?
"Hello Ravi, welcome to the world." She whispered softly, glancing up into her sister's face. "Don't worry sis, everything will be okay, it has to be!" In her heart she felt that nothing could ruin this, nothing could break the bond that mother and child had.

As Kiburi came closer to see her cub, Kirjava smiled happily. Nothing could make her prouder at the moment than seeing the little cub lying beside her. Turning to Kib, she smiled, "I sure do hope so! I want Ravi to have a good life." Crimson eyes shifted to her son as she licked the top of his head, "He's so tiny...I wonder what color his eyes are!"
The sun would be coming up soon and heating the desert. It was a good thing that they were in the shade, for she wasn't too entirely sure how well her son would fare in the full sun. Though, a tiny inkling of hope filled her that perhaps her son could be free like she once was...hopefully, one day they'd be roaming through the savannah together and not bogged down by this cruel pride.

"Everything will be perfect sis, just you wait and see, and Ravi will be the owner of the most prettyful eyes in all the world."
Kiburi looked up from the cub to gaze out across the desert that seemed to be sparkling with a new glow. A new day, a new beginning, nothing could be more perfect than this. She would help her sister and Ravi in whatever way possible to make their life as comfortable as it could be.
It was time to learn to hunt.
She shifted her body against the ground once more, whiskers twitching as she closed her eyes in order to find sleep. It had been a long day and she just hoped she wasn't needed by Lord Kimeti.
So tired.... "sleep well sis...Ravi."

A smile was held on her features as Kirjava nuzzled her son softly. Silently, she couldn't agree more with Kiburi's statement about eyes. Her son would have the most beautiful eyes in the world, she just knew it! Mothers were always biased towards their children and know she knows how it feels to be like that.
Curling up around her son, tail framed the tiny body as she lowered her head to the ground. Just before closing her eyes, Kirjava glanced to Kib and smiled, "Good night Sis." And with that, she fell asleep, happy and content.
