She slipped her hand around his and gave it a squeeze before dragging him off to the 'beanbag' room. The place where it seemed to all go down hill so fast.

Rep followed her lazily. He was almost getting used to the terrible Enya he noted as he wandered in. It was better than the racket in the cafeteria, and beanbags weren't all that bad as far as seating went. There were worse places to talk. It also reminded him fleetingly he still needed to see the quartermaster about that kit once things were back to normal.
He found himself a suitably squashy looking one and dropped down to sit in it.
"Better?"

Rin promptly settled down in one beside his, one that was still pretty much laying on top of the other with how close they were, "Much."
She... didn't honestly know how to start. She gave him a long thoughtful look with a frown playing on her lips.

He raised a brow at her curiously, still with that look of teasing amusement he always wore but perceptively softened.

Rin couldn't help the soft throaty chuckle. ******** always knew how to cheer her up without even trying.
"Well..." she looked unusually awkward, "I'll start with - I made some friends?"

Rep wasn't used to seeing Rin be awkward over anything, used to her being almost exclusively confident, pushy and overbearing, so even the hesitant way she was going about talking about the things she'd been up to set him on edge. Either something pretty upsetting had been going on or was still going on. Either that or she just didn't feel like she could talk to him about s**t any more.
The latter was surprisingly upsetting to think about.
He tilted his head slightly. "Friends? Well that's pretty like, nice man. I was sort of worried after that whole..er..run in you had with Ace that making friends might be hard for you." because clearly anyone who couldn't get along with Harrison, Rep just couldn't understand getting along with anyone else.
"Who then?"

"Well." she started her smile actually growing, "First I met Jerry. Well, I saw him and s**t before but we never talked, you know? Well, he was cool. Anyway. Then I met..."
She actually had to clear her throat a bit trying to throw off the huge doofy grin that took her face, "Sasha... Speaking of, apparently you are a huuuuge doodie head~ ... My words, not hers."

"Jerry and cool will never ******** exist in the same sentence you know. " He wasn't being particularly cruel though, based at least on his tone. "He's alright though, his heart is in the right place I guess? Just not his ..confidence? He's jittery as ********." After the man had defended him at no small degree of personal cost, Rep found it harder and harder to hate him. He was a fellow Sun and felt in many ways as if he was coming from a similar place in his attitude to a lot of issues, granted, approaching things from the polar opposite direction from Rep himself.
Sasha though earned an eyebrow raise. "Sasha? The little girl with the long hair?" She wasn't a little girl but to Rep's world veiw she didn't manage to come under the title of b***h. A b***h needed to be more ballsy and in defiance of men to really come under that classification. Sasha from what he'd seen anyway, didn't quite. "And really. A doodie head. The ******** is doodie?." he crossed his arms. He'd need to have words with her next time they met if she was bad mouthing him in any capacity.
"So speccy and little girl are your new friends?"

"Very jittery." she added looking thoughtful though Rep did earn a glare for calling Sasha a little girl, "She's not a girl."
She grunted vaguely before looking forward and away from Rep, "She's a woman, a lovely woman at that."
"She taught me all sorts of neat new words - apparently, 'doodie' is s**t. So you are a s**t head." she chuckled at Rep though there was no cruel edge to it. Simply soft giddy laughter.
Her laughter was cut short however at his final question, her voice falling to near mumble, "I don't know."

"Looks like a ******** girl to me. At least how she acts. Better than acting like a man though like half the bitches on this island." He raised a brow at her. "A lovely woman? First time I've heard you call anything lovely in a while. Got a thing for her maybe?" he teased. "You wouldn't be the first person to get grabby over her." He remembered the near tug-of-war that had occured with Sasha in the middle after the first mission they'd had with Allan and how high tensions had run. "Seems a bit bland to me, but if you like vanilla~"
He did scowl at her however. "FYI though, doodie isn't a cool word. It belongs in the same sentence as cool as much as Jerry belongs in one with sexy. Just not appropriate right?" he did smirk a little though, he'd made his peace somewhat with being called a shithead, given the other person who called him it on a regular basis.
She got another puzzled look though for her cryptic comment. "s**t went wrong already?"
She worked fast.

Rin just buried her face in her hands as Rep droned on and on and on, one STINGING comment after the next. He had no way to know. None at all. She was still either about to kill him or sob on him and she was simply wavering on which.

He frowned and pouted to himself, looking rather confused as he seemed to upset Rin a little more than he intended without trying. Things really did seemed to have gone wrong on her side of things. He wasn't good with emotions in other people and found himself slipping into that slightly more honest and less teasing tone of voice he reserved purely for these situations, slinging an arm across her shoulders. Anyone else he was leery of personal space with, but Rin it was different, she was his friend, and right about now, even as stupid as he was, he could tell something was eating at her.
Hauling her a bit closer he tried a bit of backtracking. "Relax. You can tell me s**t?"

"Yeah..." Rin dropped her hands and just slumped on him, " I just don't..."
She looked pained just trying to find the words, her hand traveling up his arm to tuck under it, "... if there was something seriously wrong with me - you'd tell me, right?"

"If there's something I do better than anything ******** else, its tell people their faults, and often." he patted her affectionately. "There's nothing wrong with you right? I've told you this stuff before. The only thing wrong with you in my book is being the ******** unfortunate gender you are." he looked thoughtful.
"And maybe your self doubt." Which he felt, in a whole ******** lot of ways, was his fault. Maybe if he'd been a bit more sure in himself, she currently would be too.
"What happened though?" he couldn't imagine Jerry intentionally doing anything mean without provocation, god knows it took a whole ******** lot of effort for Rep to get him properly angry.
