(( Herp derp, playing catch up sucks. ))

Kailash watched the exchange, frowning a little before casting his gaze out towards those that had gathered in the hall, eyes hooding as he analyzed the situation. He had never entered Poena Privus, had never really cared to nor had be been welcome, but he knew how large it was, and that it was the main base of the Reapers and the Blackhearts, thus it would be difficult to get into, let alone past any form of walls, wards, and magical barriers that were in place. While the Reapers and Blackhearts insisted that what they were doing was for the greater good of everyone as a whole, they did tend to be a tad bit... Paranoid.

They certainly didn't have enough of a force to march in through the front doors, that was for certain. Never mind that most castles tended to be built on top of their holding cells, keeping them locked deep in the darkness, far from rescue or light. Penetrating that deep into a fortress, albeit crumbling, was a daunting feet, even if they had twice their number, but perhaps if they had other resources, went the route of discretion... Suddenly he turned his gaze to Miusa, absently taking note that the Cerberus Knight of similar coloration that had joined him was attempting to rally those in the room.

"Not to be too forward or to overtax your limited time and resources..." he glanced at the blond that questioned whether they had a plan, smiling a little as he tilted his head, before looking back to the sage; great minds thought alike and all that. "You wouldn't know if our vast archives or libraries may have acquired a map or blueprint of Poena Privus, would you?"

His tail flicked a little as he listened to the other Cerberus Knight speak on, gathering resources where he could. That was good, it allowed him to think like a tactician, allowed him the focus he needed without seeming rather rude for ignoring questions or anything else of the sort. However, even if there was no map, a plan was beginning to formulate in his mind and, with a small inclination of his head at Miusa after waiting for her response, he strode towards the other blue-eyed knight, smiling pleasantly.

"If I may be forward..." Kailash murmured, looking apologetic. "I believe a good start would be to locate anyone who is competent with or excels at illusionary magic. Also someone who is good as disarming or removing wards. This is not a fight that we can win with arms. We must be cautious to avoid unnecessary casualties and injuries. So long as I know who and what we have available to us, I can assist in helping you devise a plan."

Kailash's black tail flicked behind him again, his armored arms moving to fold neatly behind his back, the perfect image of a soldier. After all, he had dedicated all of his focus to combat, tactics, and the focus to control his abilities, thus there wasn't really much room underneath for pleasantries or idle banter. Still he offered the room a calm, reassuring smile as he shifted to face it, not really one to speak loudly or to interrupt, content to simply stand and offer his abilities when they were needed.

"Though..." Kailash mused, casting Aodhan. "If you do not feel comfortable being responsible for the possible causalities of those here, I do not mind shouldering the burden."

Miusa listened calmy to the plans the others were making, before sighing softly, and slumping in a chair. She picked up the antique-looking phone next to her, finger spinning the number dial several times, and then waited, before speaking into the mouthpiece. "Ah, yes. I'm calling to inquire about the return of the kids taken in --- ......There are eye witnesses you lumox, of course we know. ................. how dare you deny what you've just admitted to! ..............................................................." her face flustered with anger and she threw the receiver towards the box, a loud crash echoing in the room, disrupting conversation. "The bastards put me on hold," she growled. "If talking it over isn't going to work, then I imagine there will be quite a lot of forcing one's way in. So....who all is going to go?"

How does it feel to be a dusty toy...shoved into a corner... Aodhan felt bile forming at the back of his throat. His fists curled up into tight balls and for the first time in his life, he wished he had killed Kian when he had the chance... Despite his anger, he confusedly leaned into that hateful kiss and said nothing. His face flushed, as he looked both at the two remaining witch eaters before turning away with a curt nod. He'd done his duty... He'd done his duty... That's what he'd keep telling himself.

He'd just failed at killing Kian...

He waked back over to the comfort of his knights and the blue haired ars lilium. His face a bit distant as he allowed his mind to wander to a softer time, when Kian wasn't so cold. His thoughts however, silenced themselves as the other male knight began talking with him. Aodhan listened intently, thinking up of any plans or trying to remember a map. Wait...

"I don't have a map of the actual castle itself...but my captain has sewer schematics, from under the castle, when they had to put indoor plumbing in and kind of...bring the place a bit up to date." He fidgeted, scratching hard at the place where Kian had kissed, like he was trying to remove the skin there. "Though...I really don't know how he got his hands on those..." It was more said for himself to hear, but he was sure the other knight listened to his musing as well.

Despite not wanting to, Aodhan pointed over to Kian, then to Rosel and Remiel. "Not entirely sure exactly what the girl and the blonde man can do, but Kian's got a a very interesting magic that if we encounter small numbers, he can simply ask them to go away. I can disarm with my gravitation spells, but dispelling magic, I'm s**t. We'd need to brief everyone on the way, or here now, to set up a proper plan. I also advice that we don't go in all together. Our numbers are small, but if we do this stealth like, there's more of a chance at least someone can get down there and rescue, unless you feel that'd be too dangerous? I don't want to risk anyone's lives...but...probability..." He let the sentence hang in the air, like a man hanging from a noose.

Then that fateful question came up. Responsible for causalities... He had been in charge of a team once... They were a recon mission, but they'd been ambushed by at least twelve witch eaters...and they were only six. Aodhan had lost three good friends, all because he didn't send out scouts. He had been over-confident. Swallowing hard, he shifted, looking down at his feet. "N-no...I can do this. I can be responsible for their lives." He felt as if gravity itself was trying to push him into the floor, but he shook it off. They needed to gather more people before leaving, and he had noticed another female ars lilium come in. Yet she went over to talk to Rosel. Maybe Rosel would tell her what was going on.

Looking to Miusa, and allowing a small smile to play at his features as she threw the phone, he nodded. Okay, it was time to get serious... "Miusa, I volunteer myself, and I've already asked the help of that group there." He pointed to Kian, Rosel, and Remiel. He hoped Kian would get the girl with the doll as well. Something about her, led Aodhan to believe she was more than she seemed. Then again, maybe it was because Kian made it a personal motive to go talk to her. "Maybe if we shout, we'll get more, as there are plenty others in here, we just...have been kind of keeping to ourselves. We need to know if they plan on volunteering, what they excel magically at, and we can either devise a plan on the way, or here."

So Kian obviously trusted this knight. Was it enough? On the upside, here was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get into Poena Privus. On the downside, possible death by either Cerberus Knights or Blackhearts. Decisions, decisions…

How was she supposed to say no?

Kian’s assessing look was familiar as he asked her to join the hunt. It was a look of judgment. She saw the same look in every bar room she entered, where the gutter rats and cockroaches wondered if a woman in a mini skirt could handle herself. She didn't care; it was an inalienable right to judge other people, if one so chose. She stayed silent as he moved away to what appeared to be another witch eater in the room. So that's his game… Safety in numbers. The blonde knight’s assurances were made of glass, so they’d likely be on their own once they had the kids in hand. Getting a backup plan once their little witch eater troupe was together would not go amiss…

The knight was dismissed, and walked away looking like he’d been punched in the gut. Served him right, in Rosel’s opinion. If he happened to fall during the mission, she silently wondered whether it would be better so save him and have a knight in her debt, or to let him die and take her secret with him.

A familiar voice sounded to her right and Rosel was surprised to see another familiar face. Unfortunately, it was someone who didn’t know about her little secret… Maelie, sweetheart, how are you? Lovely skirt.” At the inquiry about a plan, she tossed a hand noncommittally and shrugged. ”Not really friends - acquaintances, more like. I suppose you could call it a search and rescue, but we don’t have much more than the ‘search and then rescue’ part down yet. I assume the knights are going to come up with something a little more sophisticated.” She jerked her chin at the group of knights their blondie had returned to.

Remiel just snorted and refrained from rolling his eyes at the Knight. Asking for no one to be killed was like putting a tight leash on a starving animal. The blonde man was making no promises there. It wasn't like he owed the man any sort of thing such as that! Nor did he really owe any of these people such a courtesy.

Except for Miusa.

He sighed, rubbing at the back of his neck as he listened to both Aohdan and Kian. Personally, Remiel didn't care one bit about whether or not witch eaters were blamed for any screw ups here. It just made it that much more interesting in the long run. Though he'd hate so very much for anything 'bad' to happen to Kian. The blonde had been giving him a careful look while quietly filing away information he learned about the boy. He'd have to bring this one to Sariel's attention soon. She'd just adore him. Just as Remiel did.

But he could stalk the young one later.

He watched him walk off, lips quirking up in a sinister way for a moment. Then the playful air was back about him as he glanced towards Rosel.

"I am honored, my darling Rosel. Such a sweet, sweet name. You may call me Remiel." He stepped towards her, raising a hand to brush the tips of his fingers along her cheek and jawline. "And don't worry, my dark enchantress." Remiel grinned. "I trust that we shall...be enjoying ourselves much more than those Knights. Since sneaking around is something our kind does best. Am I right?" He teased before stepping back, mismatched eyes traveling around the room. Only to fall upon the beautiful girl with green eyes and a doll that approached.

My, wasn't this just his lucky day! Two exquisite ladies, one charming young witch eater with great potential as well as the rather adorable Knight, all within a short amount of time! It was almost like receiving presents!

"Why hello precious." He purred at Rosel's companion. "As this lovely dark enchantress says, we've not really come up with a plan yet." He sighed, toying with the end of his long braid of blonde hair. "Guess you can't expect much more from our dear Knights when they want to look good." Shrugging at himself, Remiel looked to the two girls beside him.

"Either of you dears been to Poena Privus? On purpose or by accident?" He inquired, scratching under his chin. "'friad I myself have not wandered that far yet." He looked away briefly from them, eyes seeking out familiar ones. Remiel watched Miusa, lips twitching. "Oh look! I believe our counterparts over there may have finally made a decision!" He giggled.

Kian looked to those eyes, his own, crystal blue orbs evaluating her, soft, grayed out ones. She appeared to be blind, and her lack of focus upon his face only confirmed his suspicion. Despite this though, he noticed how her doll was pointed directly at him, almost as if it was the one seeing...

He looked back over to Aodhan and his kind, grimacing as he watched him speak to another male knight, probably about what they were going to do and all that lovely...s**t. Kian licked his lips slowly before returning his eye back to the girl before him.

"Is there a problem? Surely you've heard by now. Poor majin and human witches and students have been kidnapped. Our beloved knights are collecting volunteers to create a search party." He paused, watching her for any sign of movement. Something about her aura was absolutely fascinating.

He glanced back at Remiel and Rosel, both of which had captured his attention as well. Remiel more-so, as there was some kind of...power radiating off him... Rosel seemed a tough girl, and she was honestly quite charming, from the brief moments he had spoken to her here, and that time on the back of a ....yam cart? While Kian had certainly failed to collect either Rosel or Remiel, he at least had them pinned for the duration of this mission. He was confident enough they'd all reunite, like a group of tight nit friends... Races tended to organize into themselves...

But he turned back to the blinde girl. "Forgive me for being rude though, I'm Kian, and I find your dolls to be absolutely exquisite. Did you make them yourself?" He tilted his head, hamming up his mock interest. He was really more into observing how keen she was in knowing he was already beginning to figure her out...

Waiting for his response, she shifted her doll in her arms much like a child would, holding it closer as if she needed the imagined support. In reality, she was adjusting the doll's head in order to better see him. He was quite tall compared to the teenager, thus making it hard to see his face without imparting her secret. It was curious the way he turned to watch the Knights, particularly the blonde. And the way he licked his lips...curious. Very curious. She wondered if perhaps there was a secret relationship between the two other than the more obvious one they seemed to share. Such things were odd to Aeronwen as she had learned early in her life that relationships only served to hurt.

"Oh. W-well, yes, of course, I'd heard that," she murmured. Wasn't that obvious enough since she was here? She kept her eyes staring at a point somewhat lower than his shoulder and to the left of where he was actually standing, hoping he wouldn't be able to figure out her secret. She didn't like how interested he seemed. Interest usually led to things she didn't want. "I wanted to...help," she said quietly, hoping her pause wasn't too terribly telling. He didn't seem interested in why she was there really, as she watched him glance back at someone else.

And suddenly the blue-haired man had a name. Kian. And he liked her dolls. Right. She really believed that. Not. But a normal sixteen year old girl would be delighted, wouldn't she? She forced her lips to smile though it didn't quite met her blind eyes. Giving a little giggle, she looked down and began to twirl side to side just slightly, not enough to impede her vision but enough to possibly throw him off the scent of her secret. "Do you really?" she asked sweetly, giving him the full force of her smile. "I did make this one, but I have others that I didn't make myself." Ugh, she sounded so...childish. She hated it, but she would do much to keep him from guessing at her. Perhaps if he proved...trustworthy, she would see how long it would take him to figure her out. "Oh!" she exclaimed and giggled a little more. "How rude of me. You've given me your name, but I haven't returned the favor. I'm...pleased to meet you, Kian. I'm Aeronwen." Perhaps if she kept up this sickening 'stupid blind girl' routine he would stop trying so hard. She did, however, need to rein herself in a bit. She wanted to know more about him, so she shouldn't over-do things and make him fully discount her. That would not be conducive to her plans.

Dark enchantress? ”You sweet talker. Flattery gets you everywhere, you know.” Rosel gave Remiel a sly smile. That could be explored later, perhaps even at their destination. It was such a treat to be around with witch eaters, especially of the sweet talking variety, but not at the present moment. Maelie was a lovely girl, but Rosel’s nature had already been exposed to one too many people so far that day. She had the sudden disconcerting feeling that this escapade was going to be more dangerous than she was giving it credit for. She might get lucky and escape unscathed, but how many people would know her secret before the day was out?

The chill passed away with Remiel’s question. ”I haven’t been there myself, but I’ve heard it’s the most drab and miserable place in the world. Why anyone would want to actually stay there is beyond me.” She sighed dramatically and inspected her nails. ”Who knows though? It might be safe to assume that anyone who would want to be there is there now. They could have sofas, wine, and women stacked to the roof in that castle, and we wouldn’t know until the moment we walked in.”

Her eyes wandered to Kian, currently talking to the sweet faced witch eater with the doll. This girl and Maelie… Maybe dolls were in for the season? Rosel hoped not; they wouldn’t really work with her style.

At Remiel’s exclamation, she immediately looked to the group of knights around Miusa. ”It’s about time,” she muttered impatiently. ”Not much progress made, standing around all night.”

The longer they waited, the longer those reapers had to mess around with those kids. Granted, they didn’t know exactly what they’d been stolen for, but she would bet it wasn’t to test make up, and it wouldn’t be good news for any witch eater around. She reached up to twirl a lock of hair innocently and raised her voice to address the group of knights, looking specifically at Aodhan. ”Will we be leaving soon, then?”

"How dare you question our timing," a wry female voice growled towards Remiel, nearly face to face with Miusa as he looked up and towards where she once was with the ars and knights. When she had swooped in upon he and his growing group of witch eaters was uncertain, but she stood before them now, arms crossed neatly under her bosom, a scowling but amused look in her golden eyes.

She already wanted to kick Remiel in the leg, but resisted, opting to pretend rather that she was indifferent to the situation, though his obvious vibes of trying to get into so many's pants in such a short time, in front of her, made her want to strangle him with her own stockings. The sage sighed, drawing her gaze over the blue-haired man, then to the two girls, the corner of her mouth somewhat twitching, until she smiled politely, yet wryly. "If your friends and you are planning to go," she began, eyes sliding over the girls with a small amount of agitation. Of course, it wasn't anything they did... "Perhaps you should advise them that there is a strong possibility of pain should they decide to assist in our little break-in." Miusa didn't know that they were witch eaters, though she had an inkling if they were people Remiel was curious about.

Without lingering for any retaliating words or gestures, she whirled about, returning towards the group of knights and Ars. "We should go."

For most of the night, Cassiel had kept himself tucked away in a dark corner. He suppressed his presence, not wanting anyone to know he was there. It wasn't that he feared the growing crowd; he simply didn't want to be noticed. Had another exorcisma been around, he might have felt more at ease and joined the conversations. But being the only one there, he stayed where he was and quietly listened to the voices around him. He was good at that. And even though he was far across the room, he could hear the gist of the conversations. Corners were great for echoes, and having long ears helped.

But the time for action was drawing near, people were getting antsy and others wanted this show on the road. He had to join them, he was no coward. Not when the lives of children were at stake. He could only imagine the fear they were going through, and the agony their parents suffered. Thankfully for the parents, he hadn't seen any new spirits wandering the area on his travels in... That was the only good news for the situation.

As the scattered groups began to knit together, Cassiel decided to finally leave the comforts of the shadows. Pushing himself from the wall, he grabbed his staff from its resting place and started towards the others. Although he was moving closer, he still kept his distance by taking up a new residency between two groups of people. To his right he sensed the witch eaters, and for a moment his golden eyes scanned their faces hoping to find someone he was acquainted with. No such luck. To his left he saw Aodhan with other knights, but the group looked so busy he didn't dare interrupt. Instead, he pressed his back against a support beam and continued to watch from his new perspective.

It was probably difficult to miss the 6ft man with pointy ears clad in purple. But Cassiel remained where he was, listening to the conversations as he continued to look for a familiar face to glue himself to. Ultimately, his plan was to file in with the rest of the crowd and head for the door when they did. He didn't need to make friends on a rescue mission; he simply needed to rescue his friends. At least two of the witchlings abducted were friends of his, and he would put his life on the line for the smallest of friendships.

Kian smiled at Aeronwen. What a long name. He'd have to give her a nickname eventually... He cocked his head, listening to her ramble about her dolls. Something about it though...seemed strange, like she knew he honestly couldn't care any less about them. What peaked his interest was the why behind them. Why did a woman of her supposed age, he guessed she was around late teens, nineteen at most, but she seemed too innocent to be an adult. Why would a woman like her...have these dolls? And why did the one in her arms...seem more than what it should?

Blinking, he nodded when she gave her name; his smile returning to his face, yet again, his eyes would always be blank and void, like death itself. "My friend, the blonde knight over there is asking for volunteers. But I don't really know that a girl like you could go..." He tisked a few times, shaking his head. "No, see, we don't need the broken. We'll have plenty of that on the way out...Oh well, such a shame. And your face was so lovely to behold. Too bad you can't see mine..." He smiled wickedly, listening to his insults, hoping they'd flare her into his trap.

He began walking away, slowly, joining back with Rosel, Remiel, and now Miusa. He guessed the knights would be joining over with them soon as well, seemed as if the sage was gathering up everyone to finally leave this place, and thus the journey would begin. His floating eye caught a glimpse of a man dressed in purple with pointed ears. Oh this was becoming quite the party. He wondered if he'd be joining them.

Kian looked to Aodhan his eyes giving way from their dead stare to something much darker... This would be interesting indeed.

There was... a lot going on. Monet couldn't even keep up with the passive aggressive behavior that was shot between Aodhan and Kian. Frowning slightly, pretty face taking on a different tone, his lengthy tail gave firm flick. This was no time to fight over petty personal things... as it clearly seemed to be. Nose wrinkling, the Ars Lilum gently placed a hand onto Aodhan's shoulder, giving a gentle pat, and a light smile of encouragement. "Well I'm sure every little bit of help will be of use." he assured further, keeping his tone light, smooth, and somewhat cheery as it normally was. Though this was a serious matter, panic, and being blurred by ones emotions wasn't a good route to follow.

His gaze followed to the group of huddled individuals curiously, listening as Aodhan explained. Eyeing the blue haired man, giving another appreciative once over his appealing physique, the Lilum Ars nodded slowly. "He certainly sounds like he'd be quite useful on our side." Monet pointed out. Looking down at the shorty beside him, he gave a charming smile, tail curling a little to brush against behind the armored legs in an affectionate gesture, "You sure do have a good head on those strong shoulders of yours, Mr. Knight~" he lightly teased. "Going in small groups does sound like a smart plan, for certain. If we all get caught at once, then.. well, that wouldn't be good at all." smirking, his tail gave a gentle flick, the trinkets there chiming together, "It's our duty to protect those in need. We knew, signing up for this, that our jobs would entail the possibility's of misfortune to our person." he stated calmly, smile softening along with the rest of his striking features. He wasn't afraid at all.

Once Aodhan gave his response to Miusa, the leviathan wrapped an arm around the shorter mans shoulders, in a side hug, smiling sweetly to the female, "I'm definitely in as well, darling~" he chimed smoothly.

She almost returned his smile until she remembered she wasn't supposed to be able to see him. She rambled insipidly about her dolls for another moment, watching him and she could almost see the gears working in his head, though she still hoped he couldn't figure her out. Blinking, she listened to him speak, nodding as he told her the Knight was looking for volunteers. She let confusion show on her face when she was told she might not be able to go.

Because they didn't need the broken.

The gasp she gave at that wasn't faked, nor was the shocked expression she was sure was on her face. He kept talking, calling her lovely as if that would ease her pain at being called broken. Like she really was some stupid child to be assuaged with pretty words that meant nothing. Her arms tightened around her doll as she fought with herself not to show her anger, to leave the shock on her face. But the more she thought about his words, the longer her doll's eyes watched him walk away from her, from the broken girl with the pretty face and the little dolls, the angrier she got.

Kian had hit a sore spot the young witch eater hadn't even known she had. Broken. She would show him broken. Quickly, she followed him, no longer acting the pathetic blind girl. Looking up into his face, she let her rage show. "Blind is not broken, Kian of the blue hair," she hissed up at him, still quiet even in her anger. "Perhaps you would do well to read the pages of a book before you toss it merely because the cover does not please that wandering eye of your's."

And with that, she turned on her heel and walked away, through the door of the hall only to stop and mentally kick herself as she realized what she'd done. She'd fallen right into his trap, hadn't she? "Stupid girl," she muttered to herself, "Stupid, rash, childish girl!" Covering her face with one hand she sighed. It burned her, she realized, that he'd been able to see through her so very easily, that it had been so very easy for him to pluck her strings and manipulate her as she did her own dolls.

A quiet flare of a foreign power caught her attention and drew her slightly away from the wall, searching. Étaín had never felt a presence like this one and upon scanning the room could not miss the stately man in flowing purple that emerged from the shadows across the room from her own observation spot. His long ears defined him as something beyond what she had experience with, but his power was ancient, almost...reassuring. Perhaps he was the 'in' she was looking for. She would go along on this mission! She had to!

Hesitating a moment longer, but seeing him settle in to observe, Étaín felt safe enough to approach. Moving carefully through the crowd, she coaxed tears to her eyes and a lost look to her face. Blinking away a tear, she calculated her angle and stumbled slightly as she entered what she thought might be the exorcisma's sensory range. Sniffling softly, the witchling looked mournfully toward Miusa and the Knights as she wiped away a tear with the back of her fist, mumbling as though speaking to herself;

"What do I do? I can't go back to Makai without them! Why would anyone take my classmates?" She let out a ragged sigh, blinking soulful indigo eyes. " I feel so bad for staying in that shop so long, what if I had been able to warn them to run...or something?!"

Letting out one last soft sob, Étaín let her shoulders droop as she watched the groups preparing to move out.

The soft crying of a young girl caught his attention. He turned to look directly at the girl, his golden eyes looking her over. Of course he heard her soft mumbles, how could he not? A frown soon washed over his face as he fell right into her rouse, brow knitting together. He disliked seeing anyone cry, especially someone who looked so... helpless.

"There is no need for tear shed." He spoke softly, moving from his place against the pillar. It was easy enough for him to close the gap between them; two strides are all it took. "I can tell you are worried about your friends, we all are. We will rescue them." Ah, so he was going. Or at least he grouped himself in with the rescue team. "So save those tears of sorrow for tears of joy."

Hesitantly he reached out, using the soft part of his sleeve to wipe the girl's cheeks dry. He was gentle with his actions as if he were afraid to break the girl. But once those tears were gone, he took a step back to regain some personal space. "Don't be so hard on yourself. Unless you can see the future, you had no way to know what would happen. We'll find them." He was trying to console her, though worried he was going to make the situation worse for her if he kept talking. Had she gone out of that store any sooner, she may have been with her friends, and that wouldn't be any better for the girl.

"Telling you not to worry won't stop you from it, but at least forgive yourself. That burden on your shoulders will only tire you out. We're all here for the same reason." Cassiel smiled now, trying to cheer her up in this dreadful situation... He was doing a horrible job, or at least that's how he saw it. So when in doubt, smile. Smiling was contagious, right? Kinda like laughter, but laughter would be highly inappropriate.
