The clash between the two opposing forces was great. The Kishin displayed great might and speed to match up to Dominik's own enhanced state. All of this would have been picked up by the meister's keen sight, if only it weren't for the fact he was temporarily lost to the madness for the time being. As the two were flung through rubble and debris the demons fought over control of who would come out on top to continue their assault on the other. As they started to slow down, Dominik's clouded consciousness was pierced by the soothing wavelength of his partner. Faiyth's chilling feel began to call back Dominik from his frenzied state to come to realization as to what was happening. When he came to, all he could feel is the gut wrenching feel of free fall. Trying to catch on to what happened as a black void replaced any memory that was gathered within the last few minutes of the fight. It seemed to no avail that letting himself go would help solve the situation any faster. The main focus of the demonic presence in his soul was to fight back against his control, not to succumb to it.

With that thought in mind, he just couldn't let himself go anymore as much as he would like to try to use it to his advantage this would be the worst time to try it out. Thoughts aside the Kishin and the meister would soon skid to a stop and the battle would resume quickly. He had to think of something here and now or this could be the end for both meister and weapon. Feeling the cooling sensation of Faiyth's wavelength, Dominik gained an idea to turn the tables on the fight. As his weapon channeled her wavelength through his soul, Dominik chose to express it further having his madness wavelegth carry it along with his own natural wavelength. Within seconds the area around the meister began to freeze over, along with the Kishin as a light layer of frost slowly encompassed his body inadvertently causing harm to his body and slowing his movements tremendously. Any open wounds would be closed and crystallized over by this point and time preventing the acidic blood of the Kishin's to spill out as it did earlier.

Now the fight could be continued in Dominik's favor. With a jarring kick the meister would launch himself from the reach of the Kishin, skidding to a stop upright as he held up his partner in both hands, letting her wavelength quell the madness within him and continue to clear his mind of any obstructions that would prevent him from finishing this fight. 'Thanks, Faiyth...' A deep breath was taken before a dazzling dash was made toward the Kishin taking full advantage of the freezing wavelength being emitted from the pair. Strikes being made with a more precise targeting than what is was before when Dominik was overcome by madness though it was still slightly apparent. The corrosion seemed to have completely halted in its tracks, but the feel of madness and the power it gave could still be recognized and tapped into. Keeping that in mind Dominik continued relentless blows one after the other, concentrated on centermass for the Kishin as each swing seemed to be faster than the last while the wavelength of the duo remained to freeze the Kishin and the area in a winter white coat of ice and frost.

What was this.

This. Thickness and frost. The Kishin could barely focus as it was with the consistent ringing in his ears, but when he raised his arms he found the reaction to be sluggish, lethargic even.

His shock widened when he saw the permafrost now covering his entire body. Each time he moved the ice crinkled and crackled, digging here and there at his skin. It was painful, uncomfortable, and it made his body boil with indescribable fury.

Like the encasing around him, however, it was kept internally. Strange. He felt the anger, the hate and consumption, but it seemed his mind and body could not properly process it. So, now, it appeared he was functioning under normal circumstances. He might have counted his unusual blessings if not for the thing being swung at him with such velocity, back-stepping in as hurried as possible motion.

While he appreciated the calmness of his self, he had to rely upon his rage in order to succeed, that much he was sure of. And the deterrent that seemed to be opposing his malcontent was the blasted weapon.

The nonsense had to stop.

Hana planted his feet to the ground, digging and stancing in a form he had not used in quite a while. His arms and forearms raised up to his chest in response, blocking the barrage of swifts and swipes of katana blade like that of the punch and lunge of a glove. Just as surprisingly, the frost on his body acted almost as a suit of armor, the blade only chinking at each contact. He doubted that such a suit would protect against a direct stab, but it would do.

At such a moment, his left arm counteracted one particular sweep, blowing the blade by and offsetting the series of attacks. He then drew his right arm back in Focused attack, aiming and striking right at the wrist and hilt of the wielder and wielded. The shock and blast alone would be enough to break bone; as for the weapon, he couldn't say.

"There is a vacancy in my soul..."

Faiyth let out a sigh of relief when her meister came back to his senses. She felt her wavelength mix with Dominik's as it was channeled through his soul, being used to freeze the kishin. She knew it would slow him down, but also knew it would add a layer of protection to him. As Dom continued his assault, each strike not piercing the ice on the kishin, Faiyth thought up an idea of her own, but focused on keeping the thought from reaching her meister, as she knew he would be against it.

She waited for her chance as the kishin finally made an attack on them. Without hesitation, she surrounded Dominik with her wavelength, covering him in a protective layer of ice quite similar to that which covered the kishin, which would help against the damage of the attack. She then changed back to her human form, the kishin's blow brushing her side as she changed, the force of the slight hit causing her immense pain, though her skinny frame saving her from a greater hit, but she didn't stop. She swung her left arm out, hooking it around the Kishin's neck like a clothesline, but without the actual strength and force of one. She used her momentum to swing around him, wrapping her arms around him tightly like a bearhug, before immediately using her abilities as a Death Scythe to create several blades similar to her own weapon form that shot out from all over her body, which would easily pierce through the ice covering the kishin

╚═══════════════════════════════════════════╝

Dominik had continue to swing, hearing the loud noise of the metal clashing against the ice. What was a hindrance was now an adapted defense on the Kishin's side but it was no problem for Dominik to handle. The Kishin was dramatically slowed down due to the ice and it was only a matter of time until the pair wold continue the upper hand to victory. That was the deciding thought running through Dominik's mind before something unexpected had happened. Without warning, Faiyth had reverted back to her human form, leaving Dominik dumbfounded as to what she was planning. Letting an attack graze her side before latching onto the demon with finesse. The strike came at Dominik, but it was no trouble to side step back to avoid the hit due to the sluggish movements of the frost covered Kishin.

Just as quickly as it came, the frost that covered over Dominik's own soul began to wither as the corrosion continued to make its way to fight for control of Dominik. Intense pain was felt as the madness wavelength seeped from his presence once again. Gritting his teeth to the pain, all he could do was look at the Kishin being held down by his partner with a gaze of death in his eyes. In an attempt to release this anger and frustration that just came upon him, he charged straight at the Kishin aiming to perform his dreaded technique "Soul Devour". As Dominik advanced forward, something felt strange within his soul. From being exposed to madness for so long and the current status of the corrosion on his soul made his senses altered at the thought and motions going in for the soul devour. Aiming a punch dead center to the Kishins chest, it landed with enough bone shattering force to crush the ice and knock the Kishin down for the count... but that wasn't the end of the damage he would receive.

As the two made contact, the corrosion felt as if it had reached out to the Kishin's soul and attached itself to him keeping the two in contact for moments longer. In fear of this new found ability, Dominik tried with all his might to pull his fist away from the Kishin's chest only to come to the realization that it was as if his fist was stuck in its place. Finally the meister's fist was freed and his body would be launched back a bit from his own force, or so it would seem. As he retracted back his arm, the corrosion followed, tearing off a chunk of the Kishin's soul with it and doing immense harm. Returning to it's host, the corrosion seemed to intensify from the attack, putting even more madness pressure on Dominik making him drop to his knees from the jolt in intensity. 'Why out of all times is this happening...?' His mind could only create that thought as he struggled to hold onto consciousness.

[[OOC: Ability: God Eater
With the fundamentals of his attacks "Throw Away the Emotions" and "Soul Devour", Dominik is able to make his corrosion come into contact with another soul so long as he has physical contact with the opponent. The corrosion latches on and attepts to attack the other soul as if it were Dominik's. Once physical contact is broken, the corrosion retracts back to Dominik and taking a chunk of the enemy's soul with it. This attack cannot be used in succession and cannot be used in succession with Soul Devour. The strain put on Dominik's soul increases since the corrosion amplifies in intensity after doing so (and weapon's if he is using one) but can be dissipated if Throw Away the Emotions is used, causing both Dominik (and his partner) to alleviate some of the Madness Wavelength buildup on their souls. Cooldown:5 posts.

Kooler2006

There were two moments of the Kishin Hana thinking 'ow'.

One was a few moments ago. He had attempted to reach and pry for the worming weapon now embracing him tightly from behind, but the blasted ice had slowed him too much and too late. The blades pierced through his arms and shoulders, holding him up in a sort of crucified stance.

'Ow,' he thought.

The howls were heard from his little suit. Oh he would kill her, oh he would rip her from frail limb to frail limb-

But then another moment passed. The boy had seemingly retired back into the tendencies of madness and charged at him with the same sort of attack as before. He thought it similar to his own, and, while it would hurt like hell, he'd still be the one standing-

But he was wrong. The attack had the same intensity and strength as Application, but. It was nearly paralyzing. Terrifying. It increased the sensitivity of his body by ten-fold.

Then he felt those invisible tendrils.

They were reaching, snaking to his soul, intent on taking with their greedy little hands. He tried to focus his madness as a shield, an armor to slow and stop such things; and it did, to an extent. The tendrils swiped at it, dragging the wavelengths back into Dominik's own corrupt soul.

But they kept coming, kept swiping, dragging, digging past the Kishin's hindered madness and finally to the inner core, where they latched and dug at the outer edge.

'Ow,' he thought. And then he didn't. The tendrils drew back that said portion.

Whatever sane thought that resided within Hana at that moment left. The Regeneration process had already begun, and enraging madness spewed out from the hole in his soul.

The most primal of screams erupted from him, visible, flamelike waves of rage bursting through the encasing of ice and blasting away the frost and freeze of the rest. The beast wasted no time and kicked the kneeled boy square in the chest; not a devastating Focus, but still enough to slam him against the wall.

Now he returned to his crucified situation. The blades were restricting his movement substantially. So, with another primal scream, shout, bending of muscle and bone, broke the blades off from the base, disconnecting him from the girl. In that brief moment, he reached over his head and grabbed her by the neck, holding her up with one arm. His eyes were merciless and malicious and hateful. His massive hands squeezed down on her neck, cutting off her air definitely.

((Regeneration: If, in any situation Hana loses a portion of his body or soul, a sort of celestial limb or portion made of the same madness as his will take its place while the said portion regrows. It acts as it was made to function; however, given it has a mind of madness, it lashes out uncontrollably at times. As for the soul, it engages him in temperance, enraging him in this painful struggle as his soul is further consumed by the curse. Limbs take about a few days to regenerate. A portion of the soul, quite a bit longer.))

"There is a vacancy in my soul..."

Faiyth watched, clinging still to the kishins back, as her meister used his 'God Eater' ability. At first she was happy, as it looked to cause the kishin considerable pain, but then she was overcome with worry and fear, as it looked to have caused harm to Dominik as well, and she wasn't with him to help control his madness. She then felt the kishins hands grasp her by the neck, squeezing to the point that she couldn't breath. She struggled at first, but then she began to focus, causing several blades to form from her neck that pierced outward through the kishins hands. It would not stop him permanently, but it would cause some pain, as well as allow her freedom from his grip. Once free she ran as fast as she could toward Dominik..

Faiyth reached out, grasping both of her meisters hands, her wavelength immediately attemping to dispell the madness currently affecting him. She began to glow as her body changed once more into her weapon form, now held in the meisters hands "Please snap out of it, I can't lose you like the others" she begged, her wavelength fighting to push back the madness

Within his boggled mind, Dominik had felt his partner grasp his hands before changing back to her weapon form. Attempting to stand, the young miester's vision was blurred as he tried to get a grasp of the situation before him. The world kept shaking, steadily coming into focus as he stood to face the kishin, weapon readily in his hands as a stance was forming together the more the miester fought for his consciousness. 'Listen, Faiyth.... As much as I would love to give in and have at it here my soul can't take much more. I've only been able to survive this long because of you. I'd rather have us both get out of this quickly without much harm done.... At my next chance I'm going to try and escape for both of our sakes....' Looking around at his surroundings, Dominik tried his best to figure out a plan in this mess of a battlefield. Rubble and debris surrounded them from the collapsed walls from the buildings they fought through. Amidst the area of ruined concrete, Dominik spotted two openings; the way where the kishin came from, which more than likely led back to his house, and there was the opening left from when the Kishin grabbed Dominik to initiate this skirmish they have partook in. His eyes focusing back on the Kishin a decision had to be made. 'Well going back to my place would amount to nothing. More than likely its been torn asunder, and I would be walking to a dead end... The only place left...' Without finishing his thought, Dominik had darted to the second opening. 'Faiyth... forget about me for a moment and focus all your might into freezing anything around us, especially that Kishin. We need him slowed down as much as possible at this point until we make it up to the Academy. I would LIKE to believe we will be safe there...' Tapping into all the power he could muster, the young miester ran as fast as he could through the destroyed walls the Kishin had made, his arm dangling behind wielding Faiyth so she could easily do the task he asked of her.

If all else failed, Dominik would indeed be in a bind. Though he wished to get out of the area and away from the Kishin quickly he did indeed have a back up plan, but never before had he been in a situation where someone else was included in his thoughts in a tactic. Faiyth not only added in a new formula to the battle, but also a hindrance. But everything has its pros and cons in life, and Dominik just had to accept it. He wish he could focus on all this, but there was more important things at hand: like escaping from the reach of this Kishin. Hopefully the two would be able to escape with minimal damage to both their physical and spiritual selves.
