He blinked at the female that approached him. Black and white. What id he have in mind? Surprise them form the sides, perhaps, provide a distraction. He would have voiced this idea, and even opened his mouth, but Hraga spoke first. He didn't puff with pride once his idea was acknowledged as a good one, instead, Sjari simply nodded.
As soon as he was sure of an okay to go, Sjari moved off towards the left. He also missed the whole commotion with the first 'enemy', but wasn't too worried about that. He was quite aware of the female that had broken off with him, the same on that had asked him the question. He'd make sure to keep tabs on her. Though they weren't exactly side by side, they were in the same 'team', and should probably help each other. Especially now, separate from the larger group.
Kalama, for her part, didn't take to splitting up. She'd rather be here with the bulk, and didn't even consider going off to the side when Hraga sent a few with the black Hongshan.
... Besides, here was much more exciting. She rushed over to the first enemy, but found, irritated, that someone had got to him first. Darn! she would just have to keep her ears perked, ready for the next one.

Game? She would show them a game, least, a part of her thought so as she went with the group. She was quiet, biding her time and moved with subtly eyes open and attent. She wanted her chance, a want to feel success, a purpose, to prepare her for anything that came her way. For Sjari's brother, if it came to it. She would protect her home, what was hers...him. She would do all she could.
His brother and sister were more fighters than himself, but he had to prepare. He went with the group, albeit catching up, and a familiar red, almost vibrant orange caught his eye. Naar, he wished to call out to her but in respect for Hraga's lead, he merely went over to her and strode alongside her. He offered her a smile and nod. This was not the walk he had in mind for the two of them, but at least they were both here.
He wanted to do well and fight for his home for his family, his mother and his long lost sister and brother. He only hoped the fires within them would bring them back. As the first 'attacker' became subdued, Mwako'Damu was disappointed at his missed chance, but was glad for his team's victory. His mother had fought for the rebellion of the firekin, and he would train to be well equipped for this war. He knew his strengths, practiced, had even taught Fia. Now it was time to see what he could do in arms...in a game.

Hraga felt a surge of pride as the first opponent was felled. Mizuka would probably be smarting for a while after that! As the medics dragged him off in complete mock-seriousness, he couldn't help but feel a little sorry. He certainly wouldn't want to be the first lion of the game to be tagged out!
"That was well done," the black male called to Mkazo. "More of that, and they'll probably surrender by the time we get there!" Unlikely, given Azar. But he still liked to think they had a good shot at really, really impressing today. It was certainly up to a good start!
As Sijari's group broke off, Hraga kept the main troops moving towards the south. But always, if possible, he tried to keep an eye on their movements. A flash of fur here, the tip of an ear there. It wouldn't look good to get the whole group captured right off the bat.
Finally, they reached the large rocks which would make the first real 'trench' of the battlefield. He watched quietly until he was sure the others were in position. Now, there was nothing left to do but bring the two groups together, and capture whoever it was that laid beyond them!
"Alright," he said lowly. "Its up to us to make the distraction. We'll go in fast, but expect anything! Azar wouldn't leave this pass unprotected."
Would he?

True to form, Azar'bijan has posted two guards at the rockpost!
The first is a large lion covered in scars. A familiar face to anyone around the pride: Vlam, Azar's brother. Vlam might not be a champion fighter anymore, but there's a reason he's been left at this spot: how do you flip a lion like that on his belly?
He seems distracted though, and the source is the second lion left with him. While Azar chose well in leaving the mountainous Vlam to handle any ambushes, he probably could have chose better in leaving Elcca. Elcca, who was clearly not taking this all that seriously. She seemed to be lecturing Vlam on...something. She seems a bit more into her chatting than what is actually going on.
You're sure its pretty interesting, but now's not the time! Its time to see if this ambush works!
Vlam and Elcca have the high ground, but they're surrounded on both sides.
FOR THE NEXT FIVE POSTS, ATTACKERS ROLL 1-5. If you can beat 15 together, the ambush is a success!
If you can't, each will need to be taken down individually!

Though too far to hear their commander's whispered orders, she could see that they were all converging on a single point. She followed suit, keeping her place in the line, eyes roving for anyone trying to sneak by. Thus she managed to catch a glimpse of the two lions perched up a bit higher than they. If she hadn't spotted them though, she'd have heard them! How very odd to leave scouts that were more interested in conversation than watchfulness!
She was off to one side, but could see that as the others crept closer along the front, she and the others on her side could curl around the back of the perch of the defenders. With a glance to Sijani to indicate her intent, she began to inch closer to pounce at the same time as the others. By sheer numbers, they could take them down, if they all worked together. Otherwise, they might suffer 'casualties' as well.

And there was the 'enemy.' Once they sighted them, Hewa's lingering annoyance with her niece faded. It was time to forget the silly kid and get down to business, and maybe be glad Nisi had split off, anyway. That swampling might've screwed it up. With the others of the group, she crept carefully into position. This wasn't too much different from hunting, when you got down to the bare bones of it. It was just that the prey was smarter, better able to defend itself, and...okay, only passingly like hunting, but just close enough that she didn't find herself out of her element.
The tip of her black tail twitched, and she waited with what little patience she could muster.

(( I've had Teketeza take out Vlam, even though he wasn't part of the rolling group. I figured it was OK, since no one has acknowledged yet that the ambush was a success and you said it was OK to Godmode NPCs. I'll edit it out if needs be. XP; Just want to make up for sleeping through that stuff. ))
Teketeza continued to remain close to Hraga. If he was able to prove himself in front of the Team leader, hopefully that would get reported back to the Regents. All he wanted was to rise through the Ranks, to be more revered and important than the rest of his family. Smirking as he considered this, he moved forward, his firey eyes darting left and right, looking for any signs of the other team.
When the dark red male of the other team jumped out, unfortunately for Teketeza, there was a male much closer to him that was able to take him down. He frowned deeply, as being the first to tag someone out would've been a comendable action. Still, he was sure there was plenty of more Team Two lions to take out.
As they moved further through the rocks, the large, grey male continued to look about. Suddenly, two lions were spotted on top of the rocks. It was the great warrior Vlam, and that strange beauty Elcca. Teketeza immediatly sprang forward, in a much more obvious and confident way than most of the other group did.
What was the point in sneaking when Team Two had the higher ground? If the pair of them hadn't been distracted, they would've spotted the large Team One group ages ago. He headed straight for Vlam. If anyone could take down a Firekin as big as that, it was him. He scrambled up the rock before diving right on top of Vlam, grabbing him around the neck in order to drag him down and flip him on to his back. It took a lot of effort, but he managed it. Grinning widely as he looked down at Vlam, he then looked to check that Elcca had met the same fate.
Ukuba felt quite proud of himself, having been one step ahead of the Firekin leader when he had suggested to go off to the right. He gave a nod of acknowledgement to the Firekin that had chosen to go with him. If he remembered correctly, their names were Zara and 'Kero. In an effort to further involve himself within the Firekin, he had spent a lot of time trying to learn the names of everyone there. An impossible task to most, but he enjoyed a challenge.
When the dark red male from the other team suddenly appeared, his group were already a small distance away from the main group. He was taken down quite swiftly by a male from their team, and so they continued onwards. It seemed that another group, led by Sjari, was heading to the left. Team Two would quickly be surrounded.

Kalama was, needless to say, pleased with the opportunity to spring in to action. It couldn't really be said she and Teketeza were 'in tune', as it were. She didn't even know the male. But they did happen to have the same enthusiasm in rushing forward.
She climbed over the rock and pounced Elcca, just as the gray male was handling Vlam. The element of surprise was working in their favor, and probably because Elcca wasn't as large as Vlam, she didn't have to struggle too much to get the female down. She almost wanted to say 'you're out', but that might be childish.
Sjari kept alert, trying to keep tabs on the main group, even as he slipped about among the rocks. The good thing about sand was you didn't need to worry too much about muffling your steps, but he was nonetheless careful. Over the rocks he saw a few quick moves, and assumed the first part of the ambush had been realized.
He began to close in, slowly. Soon would be the time for the groups to unite again.
