The idea of golf reminds him of Thor, and suddenly all humor leaves his face. The recollection of someone who'd sacrificed himself to save him has the Misty shake in suppressed anger. The creature mistakes the trembling as a sign of weakness and attacks, only to be flattened against the ground.

And suddenly Before feels dejected as he stares at the Life Training Course, recalling the Gym and how H had orchestrated a bloodbath between trainees. Somehow, Before expected he'd be okay with that by now. He acts like it is. But only a few people really know it isn't.

Before heard it scream and squeal, watched and realized it was some deformed pig-shaped shadow. That's when he thought to drive Vanna's spike into what he guessed was its mouth in an attempt to spit-roast it. Or tear its mouth apart, whichever came first.

Behind him, Before heard something solid slam against the Training Course's walls. He half-wondered whether he could see the insides of the observation rooms and pondered heading out there next. When the charging creature had him jumping up and onto its head like a spring board. His leap did no good in helping him get a better view but when he landed, hard, it was cushioned by the creature. "Thanks dude," he pat with mocking affection.
