Meredith was on the move trying to get in a better spot to strike. When the thunderbolt came at him he stopped and just stood still. He was in shock that a freaking Buneary could use such an attack. He yelped in pain as it hit but he quickly struck back with a Rock Smash.

Getting fried again was the last straw for Meredith. He ran towards the lake and dove in. There he used Aqua Ring and tried to heal himself some. Glowing rings appeared around him and he felt a little better.

Meredith watched as the Thunderbolt went soaring over the water harmlessly. He allowed himself a moment longer in the water and then swam out, shooting himself towards his opponent. He looked at Virgilia and then growled at her.
