Xerxes frowned and shrugged "Truth be told, i got in trouble so i fled here.....some humans were chasing me" he said with a sigh "the issue was not killing them, just how much attention id draw if i killed them" he said putting a finger to his lips "i like to keep on the down low" he chuckled "at any rate dont misunderstand, i had no idea that this place had others, i didnt even know that this was your place until i found the library and caught up on some light reading, i only had to see the words "demon of the sea" and i knew it was you." he said with a bright smile "you have quite a fierce reputation.....but no ones seen you in quite some time the last i heard, so....where ya been?" he asked.

Eve relaxed slightly his gaze and scent calmed her "I apologize I do not mean harm either but it is a tough world for me, I should not exist so being here is of high risk." The creatures was sharp but soft, speaking calmly as she could as she sat and gazed up.
Her green wild eyes tried to compete with his soft two colored one were to much for her to bear, so she simply looked out to the sea "I'm very sorry, I did not mean to threaten you." She looked out as far as she could over the vast sea then looked back to the man "I am a Tressym, and I have named myself Eve. Having a human body and name is a very interesting thing." She purred, swishing her tail lightly "What is your name O'creature of the sea?"

Lael stood as the woman did so, uneasy about being in any sort of compromising position. But the stranger sheathed her sword and the dragon didn't look like it wanted to eat Lael as much as it had before. Maybe that was just her imagination.
"You hath given me the knowledge for which I sought, and yet I know not thy name. Might thou be willing to grace me with that knowledge as well?" This time Lael did frown just a little, as her mind processed the words. "I'm Lael." She said. "Sorry. I am Lael, my name is Lael." She hoped spreading the words would help the woman understand a little better. "Might I ask your name in return?" She asked, feeling pleased with herself for at least making her question sound a little more old english-y.

"Aye," Karinda's lips twitched in a small smile at the girl's attempt at matching the speech most familiar to her. "'Tis only fair for me to return the kindness."
Art thou sure this is wise?Saiirin asked, eyeing the girl with suspicion.
'Tis wise to make allies in strange worlds, Karinda replied mentally. Bowing, she introduced herself. "I am Karinda Drathone. 'Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lael." She straightened, offering a smile. "Might I inquire as to your destination? Prior to my absence," her voice wavered on the word, "naught but a few small villages called this land their home."_________________________________________ "You did as you felt necessary," Chaim replied lightly. "I am Chaim, Defender of the humans. It's a pleasure to meet you, Eve." He nodded his head. "Please, don't let my presence here spoil your time here."_________________________________________ A snarl crossed her face at Xerxes' inquiry. "That's none of your business!" she hissed. "Why does this doll persist on staring at me?" She gestured to the doll in irritation.

Xerxes backed up and held his hands in front of him like a shield, though he still had a playful smile on his face "my my...keeping it a secrete, well thats ok, we all have something to hide....oh lilly~" he called as the doll turned and climbed onto his shoulder "well then permit me to ask you this, what will you do now?" he asked.

Agrona stared at Xerxes' through narrowed eyes.
"Give me one good reason to share such information with the likes of someone such as yourself who managed to bypass the defenses of this city. I can still feel them in place, so don't deny their existence."

Agrona snorted. "Nothing's changed, then."
She turned her back on Xerxes, her eyes honing in on the deepest of the shadows lurking within the vast, chilled room.
"Zorinel!" she called into the dark corner.
At the sound of her voice, the shadow began to shift. Pulling itself from the wall, the robed figure who had first greeted her bowed.
"Yes, milady?" The figure straightened, his face hidden beneath his hood.
"Surely you've kept track of those who still remain loyal to me. Find them, and bring them back. We have a war to win."
"As you wish." A smile crept into Zorinel's soft voice as his form quickly melded once more with the shadows.

Xerxes smiled and put a hand on his hip "my my....just back and straight to work huh?" he asked with a sigh "do you need a hand at collecting those who can help you?" he asked as the doll nodded before it spoke in a matalic voice "help we can be, people we do know!" he chirped "now now lilly hush" he said putting a finger to its mouth.

"With an abandoned city and Chaim still at his old tricks, it would be foolish of me to dally." Agrona returned her attention to Xerxes.
A look of amusement crossed her face as the doll--Lilly--spoke. A moment passed as Agrona looked the two over with a careful eye, taking in the aura about the man and his doll.
"If help you can be," she said at long last, closing the distance between them with slow, easy strides as a wicked smile pulled at the corners of her lips, "then you'll be well received here." Her gaze shifted from the doll to Xerxes. "Welcome to the Army of Destroyers." She held out her hand for him to shake.

Lael shifted her weight between her feet in a show of her unease, but the emotion stayed clear of her features and any other movements she may have made. She didn't dare glance toward the entrance, instead staring in the direction of the sea.
"There's a lot of people here now. Well, at least, a few hours drive from here there's a pretty decent town. A few thousand people, a couple of schools and stores."
As her gaze flicked back to the woman she couldn't help but realise how blatantly she had dodged the question.
"We could go there." She added quickly. They needed to get out of here before something or someone found and attacked them. Plus, Lael wouldn't feel so bad about leaving the woman if she was somewhere she could find help, if she needed it. Not on an island in the middle of almost nowhere.

"You do not spoil my time, I like the company." Eve with on swift jump landed on Chaim's shoulder.
"I am curious what is such an important person like yourself doing here on this lonely beach?" she asked lightly

Xerxes looked at Agrona's hand and smiled "im happy to be of service....but sadly i think, for both your calmness and my life, i wont shake your hand" he said and instead bowed "i prefer not to touch anyone unless they are my enemy, since well....." he gave a nervous laugh "the only thing that comes out of my touching someone is nothing but pain" he said hoping she would understand.
