Bio: Azazel claims that many years ago an ancient horde of demonic mutants from biblical times called the Neyaphem were in an epic battle with a group of angelic over-zealous mutants, named the Cheyarafim. The Cheyarafim were victorious in the battle and vanquished the "evil" mutants to an alternate dimension for all eternity. The Neyaphem's leader, Azazel, was the only one who was able to breach the dimensional void for brief periods of time due to his teleportation powers. His only hope to return to earth was by impregnating women because his children are linked to his dimension. About twenty years ago, Azazel began mating with women who had strange appearances, at least with looks and abilities other women didn't have. He met Mystique in Germany, at the time she was married to a rich castle lord named Baron Christian Wagner, who was unable to give her children. When Mystique was introduced to Azazel, whom Christian knew as a business partner, she had an instant attraction to him. Although she was hesitant to betray Christian, she gave in to Azazel and they made love. Not much later, Mystique was pregnant with Nightcrawler. While Mystique had actually fallen in love with Azazel, he seemed only to be interested in impregnating her, but, in truth, Azazel found himself actually loving Mystique, making her the only woman he ever truly loved. Shortly after his "mission" was complete Azazel left Mystique because the Cheyarafim had learned of his current location in Germany, thus would attempt to kill Azazel, Mystique, and their unborn child. Knowing that Mystique would be safe - having her resources and being the woman she was - Azazel left her to protect her and their child. Mystique, however, would never know of Azazel's true intentions and hated him for leaving her.
Soon afterward, Mystique killed Christian and buried his body because he suspected her betrayal. A few months later, Mystique gave birth to a child. Due to the shock and the strain of the boy’s difficult delivery, Mystique lost concentration and accidentally revealed her true form. Considered a demon, Mystique was chased away by an angry mob. Barely escaping, she tossed the baby down a ravine. The child was teleported away, apparently by Azazel, and given into Margali Szardos’ care. Azazel had past relations with women before, resulting in the births of Abyss and Kiwi Black.
Azazel sired several dozen other children, who were all mysteriously called to gather and sacrifice themselves on the island known as the Isla Des Demonas. Doing this would open a portal and bring his army to earth to destroy the Cheyarafim, allowing the demonic mutants to live in the world and find their place in it. The mutant children worked together in a zombie-like state and opened the portal to Azazel's dimension, but the X-Men had followed Kurt (Nightcrawler) to see where he was going and jumped into the portal. Once inside, Azazel took great pleasure in toying with the team, having them believe that he was actually Satan.
In the end, Azazel was not able to free the Neyaphem because the portal had to be opened in an area where Cheyarafim blood could not be found. Archangel was present at the time and as such the portal was destroyed. Azazel vanished in grief and has not been seen since.
In recent times it has been rumored that Azazel is actually a demon, or at least holds the blood of one. Many mystical beings such as Mephisto and Blackheart have made slight references to the leader of the Neyaphem to be much more than he seemed and had a strange set of 'ties' to mortals.
Powers: zazel can teleport by opening a portal into another dimension, traveling through it, and returning via another portal back to his originating dimension. While in this other dimension, Azazel can manipulate its energies to open small viewing portals to Earth or generate devastating energy blasts. Azazel shares a mental bond with his offspring via which he can control their minds to a limited degree. An extremely long-lived mutant. Azazel has the ability to generate bolts and streams of paralyzing energy, as well as destructive energy which causes a form of disintegration, and can disguise his appearance. In addition to this, he and all other Neyaphem are negatively affected by the healing blood of the Cheyarafim which causes their body to begin to break down. Azazel also has the ability to mentally communicate with and control individuals of inferior mental capacity that originate from the brimstone dimension, and has a great knowledge of ancient magic. Azazel has unparalleled teleportation powers. Unlike his son Nightcrawler, he does not suffer from the limits of needing to see or know where he is going. Azazel also seems to be immortal as he has lived since biblical times. His long lifespan has also allowed him to study swordsmanship to such a degree that he has become a near unparalleled master with bladed weapons.
Immortal: his aging process is greatly retarded and he can apparently regenerate injured or missing cells from even near-fatal injuries:
Teleportation: able to psionically transport himself, his clothing, and additional mass across inter-dimensional distances.
Paralyzation: ability to generate bolts of paralyzing energy.
Metamorph: can disguise his appearance through unknown means.
Will Bending: ability to manipulate minds giving him influence over others.
Abilities: He is also a master swordsman with a somewhat twisted code of honor and ethics.

Although he is over 60 years old, he has the look and appearance of a man much younger and in his physical prime. Daken's physical stamina and reflexes are also heightened to superhuman levels as a by-product of his accelerated healing factor. As with most of his powers, the full limits of these powers are unknown. Daken possesses retractable claws housed within his forearms. Daken's bone claws have been shown to be black in color with a very rough texture in contrast to the light color and smooth texture of his father's claws in their natural state. Daken has two claws which emerge from between the skin of his first and third knuckles while the center claws actually extend from the underside of his wrist. These claws are much harder and denser than normal human bone and their natural shape provides them with a razor sharp edge capable of easily slicing through flesh and bone very easily. Recently, Daken has had the claws which extend from the underside of his wrist bonded with a broken piece of the Muramasa blade. The Tinkerer, who bonded the broken piece to Daken's claws, has also implanted artificial housings that act as sheathes inside Daken's wrists that are made of Adamantium. According to the Tinkerer, the substance the Muramasa blade is composed of would severely damage Daken's soft body tissues, hence the presence of the Adamantium sheathes. However, the Tinkerer has explained that the bonded claws can be broken and that Daken only use them in certain situations, such as using them only when he's sure he can deliver a wound without the possibility of the claws being damaged. As they're bonded with the broken shard, they're capable of inflicting wounds that greatly nulify the efficiency of accelerated healing factors. Even those with highly advanced healing factors, such as Wolverine, require several days to fully heal even minor cuts with the blade and the blade is capable of inflicting wounds that would be immediately fatal. Daken's claws are very sharp. His claws are a mixture of metal and bone. His claws are able to cut through flesh/bone, and he is able to cut most metals as well if given enough force. Daken's mind is naturally resistant to telepathic probes and assaults. As a result of Romulus' conditioning, Daken's mind contains a certain, un-described "trap" for most telepaths that attempt to push too far into his mind.[25] He also possesses pheromone manipulation that suppresses his scent and alters emotions and sensory perception of others, e.g. sexual attraction, psychotic rage, rational thinking, etc..[23] However certain individuals have proven immune to Daken's pheromones, most notably Hulkling, a Skrull/Kree hybrid, and Skaar, the son of the Hulk and another alien hybrid. [24] Daken recently revealed that he has a level of empathic ability during his battle with Cyber, using his powers to drive him to brink, and explaining that he could sense what other's were feeling and even force them to feel more of it. This brings into question weather his other abilities are simply hereditary (because of the recent revelation of the Homo Lupus.) and that this is his mutant ability. Daken is said to be be faster and more agile than his father, due to the fact that he doesn't have a Adamantium skeleton. Weaknesses Carbonadium Digestion: Daken's healing factor can be dramatically slowed if Carbonadium is implanted inside of him, such as swallowing something made of Carbonadium or being wounded by a bullet composed of it. It causes his healing factor to be reduced to a slow crawl, at least in comparison to its normal speed, but doesn't fully suppress it. Skills and personality Unlike Wolverine, Daken has no moral compunction about killing innocents, which he has done in a professional capacity for quite some time. In his appearances he is seen murdering several people. However, like the Winter Soldier, the majority of Daken's personality had been artificially erased, rendering him little more than a living weapon capable of tactical and strategic forethought in order to carry out assassinations. Daken has formidable hand to hand combat skills, though the extent of his exact training has yet to be revealed. However, he has proven capable of defeating his father, Deadpool, and Cyber (who at one point was Daken's instructor and has acknowledged that Daken is a better fighter than himself. Cyber, however, does not consider Daken a worthy opponent due to his lack of an adamantium skeleton. His ability to appear outside his opponent's field of vision is a direct result of his training since he has no superhuman speed. According to Emma Frost, Daken has been heavily and irreversibly brainwashed. Professor Xavier does not share her view on the second part of that statement. Daken acknowledges that Wolverine is his biological father and yet harbored an animosity toward him for being responsible for the death of his mother, which he later learned is not true. Daken once showed loyalty to a mysterious figure known as Romulus, who has been a powerful influence in the lives of Wolverine, Wild Child, Sabretooth, and Cyber. However, thanks to Xavier's help, Daken has recovered some of his original mind and now seeks revenge against Romulus. Personality: Daken is a very shifty person. No one ever knows what his motives are at times, and he is known for betraying people whom his is close to. Daken is usually underestimated by his opponents, but he usually shows that he is their superior. Daken tends to not socialize with other people seeing how he thinks himself being better. |

Powers: Jubilee had the mutant power to generate bright bursts of multi-colored energy plasmoids from her fingertips, affectionately referred to as her "fireworks". The globules obeyed her mental control, traveling where she directed them, arranging themselves in balls, streamers, and other shapes, and exploding when she wished. The strength of the energy varied in degrees of power and intensity, and could range from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person, to a powerful detonation at the atomic level capable of smashing objects and destroying property, or even a precision burst inside a human's brain simulating the effects of a massive stroke (the latter of which she refused to use as anything but a last resort as a matter of morals). She could also absorb the fireworks back into her own body without harm.
After losing her powers on M-Day, Jubilee spent some time as a member of the New Warriors and therefore had access to a plethora of technology that gave her superhuman strength, size-changing and phasing abilities.
Currently following her infection and subsequent transformation into a vampire by Xarus, Jubilee possesses all the traditional powers and abilities of a bloodsucker (superhuman strength/speed, claws and sharp fangs) as well as some rarer abilities like being able to change into an untouchable mist form and back and being able to read someone's memories through the ingestion of their fresh blood. Unfortunately she has inversely received all the traditional weaknesses including a need for blood, inability to go out in sunlight (except while wearing a particular talisman or through the help of the healing factor in Wolverine's blood), silver allergy, stakes to the heart/beheading, garlic and religious symbols.
Abilities: As far as less superhuman abilities go, Jubilee could be considered an Olympic-class gymnast. She has been extremely agile and athletic even before her vampire transformation and uses such talents for sports activities like rollerblading (her favorite form of recreational exercise) or hand-to-hand combat in the thick of a battle. She also has leadership skills and is a decent actress when she needs to be, having taken it up as a short-lived career in the past (even if it ended badly).
Weapons: ...Does finely-honed sarcasm count? Otherwise she may have some leftover Wizard technology from her stint as Wondra, not that much of it does anything she can't already do as a vampire. |
